Chapter 3

Later, Cedric looked around in the maze per the request of King Roland after Sofia had run off mad.

The labyrinth seemed endless as he wandered around and had Wormwood search the premises until he heard a sob coming from a red dressed figure.

"Sofia, whatever is the matter?" Cedric asked, this time genuinely concerned.

"Leave me alone you selfish bastard!" Sofia snaps at him.

"Excuse me?" he demands, his eyebrow raising.

"You heard me. It wasn't me that did the trick. You did it," Sofia accused him.

Cedric sighed. "Yes Sofia. It was me. I admit it,"

"Then you can also admit that you've been trying to take the amulet from me too," Sofia confronted him.

He looked at her confusedly.

"I've seen past your trick Cedric. I realized it all when I looked back. It all made sense. You weren't focused on Amber or James. But me," Sofia tells the man who is fiddling with his bow tie

"Alas Princess. You've caught my game," he looks at her with a gleeful look as if he has been let onto a secret that no one else knew. "But that wasn't the only reason,"

"What?" Sofia asked, wiping her tears.

"I was jelous. Angry at that Jordan fellow for taking you from me..." Cedric covered his mouth as he realized what had slipped out.

"Cedric? Do you like me or something?"

"Maybe a little," he blushed, gripping the back of his hair. How like a love struck boy he seemed.

Sofia looked at him long and solemnly, comprehending him.

"I'm sorry Sofia, I just needed to get that off my chest," he began to walk off.

"Cedric wait,"

She gathered his thin lips in a passionate, long awaited embrace, her lips covering his.

At first, the sorcerer was surprised that such a beautiful woman is loving him like this.

But he eventually warmed to her as his spidery hands drifted to her breasts.

"Wow," Cedric said dizzily.

"You like that?" Sofia asked, her blue eyes shining hopefully.

"It's defiantly a feeling I could get used to," Cedric smiled, reaching out to Sofia's hips and rubbing them admirably.

Sofia started to feel a tingling feeling in her loins and Cedric's electric touch graced her figure.

"Oh my, I feel funny," Cedric laughed nervously, feeling himself pained beyond belief in his trousers.

"Ahh, you're getting a trouser snake," Sofia pointed to him knowingly.

"Come again dear?" Cedric asked.

"It's another term for a guy being aroused," Sofia winked at him.

"Such a lady you've turned out Sofia," he remarks dryly, a hint of sarcasm easing into his voice. "What do those fairies teach you anyway?"

"Well, that's what you get when you live in a school with teenage girls," Sofia laughed.

They looked at each other in silence.

"Let's go see the festivities in the village," Sofia grabbed his hand, dragging him toward the gates.

"You have a ball to get to Princess," the sorcerer reminded her.

But all his response was greeted by is a puppy-dog eyed look from the newly blossomed princess.

"At least change your clothes," Cedric gets out his wand and transforms her red gown into that of a peasant's clothes.

"How do I look Seedrick," she giggled, donning a purple dress akin to the one she wore the day she went to live in King Roland's castle. Plain with no jewels or sparkles to be seen.

And yet somehow, she could stand out in a crowd. It made Cedric want to pin her against a wall and kiss her even more than before.

"You look smashing princess," Cedric bowed and kissed her hand.

His eyes were on the amulet and her breasts at the same time.
