Chapter 11: New Guests, Same World?

-Odaiba Harbour-

With dawn coming down and afternoon rising, two young siblings take a walk back to a harbour, in a world they are not familiar with. Returning to find another friend of theirs at the harbour, they had found no one there. A mysterious disappearance had occurred to the young Serena and her Pokemon partner, Fennekin. They looked around frantically for the two.

"Clemont, where's Serena?" asked Bonnie.

"Hmmm, good question, sis." answered Clemont. "Hang on a minute."

He searched his pocket for a Pokeball. One comes out and Clemont tossed it in the air.

"Alright, Bunnelby. Help us find Serena!"

Out of the Pokeball was a rabbit Pokemon with long thick ears perfect for drilling into the ground.

"Bunne!" it said as it dug into the ground like a hand-drill. Off it went as Clemont and Bonnie began the search on the surface. Their search then brought them to an old and wrecked factory just in front of them. What they saw horrified them to bits. Claw marks the size of a Scyther's. And blast marks that might come from a Charizard. They hoped nothing terrible happened to Serena and Fennekin.

"Clemont? What happened here?" asked Bonnie, shivering in fear.

"Gee, I don't know…"

"You think something horrible happened to Serena?"

"Now, Bonnie. That's not so reassuring. She's fine, I'm sure."

~I hope~ thought Clemont.

"Yeah, but Clemont, what…"

Bonnie was interrupted by a faint noise. It sounded like a cough; weak but surely a cough sound.

"What's that?"

"Sounds like it was coming from there." Behind what appeared to be remains of a broken box, a small silhouette with two points that resemble ears.

"Wait that's…" As they moved closer…

"It's Fennekin!"

The fox Pokemon laid there, completely weakened and unconscious. She was bruised on the side. Clemont rushed over and picked her up.

"Oh no, Fennekin. What happened to you?" The Pokemon opened her eyes slowly and called out softly.

"Fenne…?"

"Hang on, let's get out of here." said Clemont.

After leaving the building, Clemont took his bag off his back and pressed a button. Out came a long wire with a spray nozzle at the end, showing Clemont's ingenuity in science and technology. It sprayed a little healing Potion spray to heal the injured Fennekin. The spray nozzle returned into the bag as Bonnie placed Fennekin on her lap and brushed her gently.

"Now to get you nice and clean." said Bonnie, reassuring Fennekin for comfort.

~It's a good thing Bonnie loves taking care of Pokemon. ~ thought Clemont.

"Wait, I forgot!" said Clemont. "What happened to Serena, Fennekin?"

"Bro!" Bonnie was strict with her brother's action. "She's just sleeping off."

"Oops right."

Fennekin was finally able to get a good rest from whatever attacked her.

"But seriously, where's Serena?" he wondered.

~Meanwhile~

"*groans* Let me go!" yelled Serena, who was tied up to a metal pillar of a crane.

"Silence!" With her, was her captor; a tall winged robot that went by the name of Starscream! The new leader of the tyrannical Decepticons was on a stakeout, stalking his hated enemies, the peace-loving Autobots for some time. However, he was still without an army, but believed he could destroy the Autobots by himself.

"If you wish to know to be in one piece, then remain silent. But if you wish to know of your fate sooner, then be my guest."

Serena just continued to struggle as Starscream resumed his session of peeking.

"I knew I should've just stick with Rhyhorn racing." complained Serena. "Fennekin, where are you?"

~The next morning~

As the sun rises above the sky, a group of young school children were heading off to an elementary school. It was the DigiDestined. With them, their Digimon partners, stuffed in their bags, hidden from plain sight. They carefully maintained their cool until they reached a patch of bushes. They opened their bags and let the little critters out for fresh air…

…and space.

"*groans* Davis! How many times do I have to yell you?! I'm not a stuffed animal!" yelled DemiVeemon.

"Sssshhh! Quiet, DemiVeemon!" responded Davis. "Do you want the whole school to hear 'ya?"

"Well, you guys go on ahead and play on, but don't stick around too long." said T.K."

"The next football lesson begins in an hour and Davis will be real mad at you guys, if you get in his sights." said Cody.

"Oh, don't worry." said Yolei. "I'm pretty sure he wouldn't waste his energy for his soccer match."

"Oh no I won't!" complained Davis.

Everyone could just laugh while Davis was mumbling away.

-In a nearby forest-

"Pikachu! Use Iron Tail!" commanded Ash to Pikachu.

"PIKA!" shouted Pikachu as it charged its tail and struck the ground with tremendous force. His opponent, the ever proud Piplup, Dawn's partner, who jumped and dodged the attack.

"Nice, Piplup!" complimented the young Coordinator. "Now, use Bubblebeam!"

"Piplup-pup-pup-pup!" the penguin Pokemon unleashed its furious wave of bubbles against Pikachu, who also dodged the attack.

"Alright, that's that! Good work, guys!" called Ash.

"Pika pika!" said Pikachu.

"*giggles* You guys did quite good too." said Dawn as she gave a wink to her opponents.

"Piplup!" Piplup jumped for joy.

"Well, it's really hard to train like this, you know, because of the low profile and all."

"Pikachu."

"Yep. It's strange that Digimon can't show up more often like Pokemon do."

"Piplup"

"We should head out and join Cilan. I'm famished!"

"You're always famished, Ash. But yeah, let's grab something from our cook."

They walked back to a picnic table in the forest. There, Cilan was tending to a pot of hot stew for the Trainers. Iris and Axew were both searching out for berries, as they'd always done in their journeys in their world. Just then, she jumped in from out of nowhere, startling Ash and Pikachu from behind.

"Yaaahh!"

"Pika!"

"Sheesh, you two. Stop being a bunch of kids." said Iris in amusement. "Here are the berries."

"How do you know if it's even safe to eat?" asked Cilan.

"Yolei gave me this cool book about berries of this world. Now we don't have to worry about health problems so soon. It's great to have friends from this world, you know."

"Agreed!" said Ash.

"Pika pika!" So did Pikachu.

Just then, a cloud of smoke appeared far away in the city, visible to the Trainers and Pokemon.

"What's that?" Iris was the first to call out.

"Axew?" followed by her Axew, who popped out from her hair.

"I hope it isn't too serious." said Cilan.

Ash adjusted his hat and looked at Pikachu, looking excited.

"Pikachu?"

"Pika" Pikachu was just as ready.

"Alright, let's go!" He threw his Pokeball and out came his trusty dragon-like Pokemon, Charizard. He hopped on him as the Pokemon roared with its might.

"Ash, do you even know if it is a Digimon alert? And what about the DigiDestined? They're still in school." said Dawn.

"Piplup." agreed Piplup.

"Only one way to find out. And no need to worry! We'll try and hold the problem off while they take their time. Go, Charizard!" The excited yet reckless trio rushed to the situation.

"That's what I'm worried about. *sigh*" said Dawn, with her hand on her forehead.

"Come on, let's not let the kid have all the fun!" yelled Iris.

"Oh, not you too, Iris." snapped Dawn.

~Meanwhile~

Back at the harbour, Clemont and Bonnie were still tending to Fennekin, who's feeling a lot of better, but still asleep. They were somehow oblivious to the incident happening nearby.

"Bro, is Serena going to be alright?" asked Bonnie.

"Don't' worry, she will be. Now, let's get moving." He got up and picked up Fennekin. Bonnie then grabbed hold of her brother's leg.

"Bro, can I take care of Fennekin?" He bent down and gave Bonnie the Pokemon.

"Of course." He smiled. "I can trust you, can't I?"

"*giggles* Thanks!" Just then, she noticed something around them. A shadow loomed over them. It looked as if it had two scythe-like limbs and four legs on its abdomen. Heard in the distance, a loud buzzing noise and it got louder and louder, as if…

"Look!" shouted Bonnie, in complete horror, as she saw a large mantis-like creature flying right above them, looking ready to strike at them. Bonnie quickly ran behind Clemont, still holding on to Fennekin.

"AAAAHHHHH! Clemont!" screamed Bonnie, gripping her brother's legs, tightly. Clemont was just as startled.

"Run!" The two hurried off to the city, hoping to lose the monster and to get help. Seconds later, the creature slash its sickle-like claws at them, unleashing a volley of crescent-shaped projectiles at them.

"Twin Sickles!"

The blasts nearly hit the children, but they still kept on running. Just then, Clemont stood his ground.

"Bunnelby, attack!" His Pokemon was still underground the whole time, and could hear the action unfolding above.

"Bunnelby!" shouted the bunny Pokemon as it charged at the Digimon, Snimon. However, it did not manage to make even a scratch on its armour. Bunnelby landed back on the ground, ready to go again.

"Darn. Let's do it one more time!" ordered Clemont.

"Bunnelby!" It charged again at Snimon.

~Meanwhile~

-Odaiba School-

At a hallway at Odiaba School, Kari was putting away her books in her locker. She had just finished another boring class of Maths and was now glad she could take a break from it all. Just then, T.K. just walked by, somehow, fighting his bag.

"No, not now, Patamon!"

Patamon was stuffed in his bag full of books.

"But, T.K…!" mumbled Patamon. He finally popped out to get some air and space.

"*pants* Boy, You sure know how to pack." complained Patamon. Gatomon was in Kari's locker.

"Now you know how I feel." she said. T.K. put his bag

"Phew. Say Kari, I was wondering… well… if you're not too busy lately." asked T.K.

"Hmmm. Was about to ask the same thing. *giggles*" said Kari. "Well, I am a little free later. How 'bout a walk home?"

"Alright."

Just then, they heard a soft explosion.

"Oh boy, sounds like another bad Digimon on the loose." said Patamon.

"I hope Davis doesn't have soccer today." said T.K.

"Would he choose soccer over that?" said Kari. "Come on, let's go warn the others."

-Above Odaiba-

While everyone was prepping up at school, Ash, on his Charizard, was above heading for the explosion. He was indeed anxious to see some action. Suddenly, Pikachu spotted something smoking down below.

"Pika-pi!" He pointed down as the clouds cleared, revealing a small fire at a harbour.

"Let's go down there, Charizard!" ordered Ash. The Pokemon swooped down to catch up with the situation.

-At the harbour-

As Snimon continued to search for its targets, Bonnie and Clemont, it destroyed crate by crate to find them. The siblings and the Pokemon hid behind some old pipes, hoping the giant creature would lose its interest on them. The two were shivering with fear, Bunnelby was resting from its fight and Fennekin was recovering as well. Clemont held onto Bonnie so tightly that she could barely breather. But with a giant deadly creature on the loose, who was she too argue?

"Just hang on, Bonnie." whispered Clemont. "Everything's gonna be alright."

"Clemont, I'm scared." Bonnie was as horrified as she would be if she goes watching a horror movie. After a few minutes, Clemont peeked around the crate to see whether Snimon has decided to leave them alone. Looking around, there was nothing but docks, crates and the damage done by the creature. For a while, he seemed to feel a lot more comfortable with the creature out of his sights. He turned back to Bonnie and the Pokemon.

"Well, I guess the coast is clear." Just when he was about to get up,

"RRRAAARRRR!" Snimon returned with an ambush! The Digimon sliced the crates behind them, barely missing the crowd. Everyone lay down helplessly as the giant Digimon prepared to finish them off.

Suddenly, a large flame engulfed Snimon, who screamed in burning agony as it flew away from the gang. Clemont looked up and saw where the fire came from. There he saw, a large dragon-like lizard with a burning flame on the tip of its tail. On top was a young raven-haired boy on its back, along with a cute, yellow little mouse-like creature. It was none other than Ash Ketchum, Pikachu and Charizard!

"Hey, you guys okay?!" called out Ash. At last, Clemont and Bonnie could smile again.

"Y-Yeah! We're fine!" shouted out Clemont. But the smiles were not to last. Snimon came flying in to strike again. Charizard quickly flew in and attacked it.

"Charizard, quick! Use Flamethrower!" As Ash commanded, Charizard breathed out another stream of fire upon Snimon. The Digimon once again flew off in pain. Clemont rose up to his feet as he helped Bonnie up and returned Bunnelby to its Poke-Ball. They ran towards the safety of a few pipes and watched the battle between the two creatures. As Charizard ascended above Snimon to attempt a Sky Attack move on it. However, Snimon launched its attack first and nearly hit Charizard. Upon dodging, Ash nearly lost his grip and quickly regained his hold. But Pikachu fell out of Charizard and was dropping fast.

"Pikachu!" yelled Ash as he ordered Charizard to swoop down so he could catch him.

"Pika!" Just then, Pikachu suddenly disappeared. A dark silhouette zoomed by and caught him. It was Halsemon, the Digivolution of Hawkmon, who had Yolei on his back. They were followed by the rest of the DigiDestined, who all arrived just in time to help out.

"Good catch, Yolei!" complimented Ash.

"All in a day's work!" said Yolei, winking. "Halsemon!"

"You know it. Eagle Eye!" As the battle raged, Snimon was continuing to take the blows, one by one.

"V-Laser!"

"Tail Hammer!"

"Star Shower!"

"Rosetta Stone!"

"Spiking Strike!"

As Snimon was finally tumbling down, Cody ran towards the weakened monster and pointed out his laptop. Yolei, having landed down on the ground, activated her Digivice and pointed it at the laptop.

"DigiPort, open!" The laptop began to glow a tremendously bright light and formed into a spiral. Snimon was suddenly beginning to become sucked into the portal. As it struggled to escape, Pikachu launched a Thunderbolt attack at it.

"PIIIIKAAAAA- CHUUUUUU!"

Literally shocked by the awesome blast, Snimon could handle no more. He finally gave in to the pain and was sucked into the portal.

As everyone cheered for the victory, even Clemont and Bonnie, Charizard landed safely on the ground. Ash jumped off.

"You did great, Charizard." Charizard responded with a loud roar and a powerful Flamethrower blown out… at Ash! Dizzy after the burnout (anime-style), he pulled out his Poke-Ball.

"What a blast. Return." The Pokemon was zapped back in its Poke-Ball. He grouped up with the DigiDestined.

"We're going to check out with the damage." said T.K.

"Boy, what a mess!" said Davis.

"Yeah, like your room on Sundays." teased Veemon.

"Oh yeah!" complained Davis.

Ash noticed the siblings coming out of the pipes.

"You guys go ahead. I'll go check on our new friends over there."

As the DigiDestined walked towards the damaged area, Ash and Pikachu approached Clemont and Bonnie and Fennekin.

"Are you guys alright?" asked Ash.

"We're fine, thanks. Nice battle out there." said Clemont.

"Yeah! You were awesome!" yelled Bonnie, as she jumped for joy.

"*chuckles* Alright Bonnie. Calm down. My name is Clemont. And this little scallywag is my little sister, Bonnie."

"Hiya!" introduced Bonnie.

"My name's Ash and this is my buddy, Pikachu."

"Pika Pika!"

"Oh my goodness. A Pikachu! It's so cute! Can I hold him, please?!" Bonnie was once again overjoyed to see a cute Pokemon in front of her.

"Sure thing." Ash didn't hesitate and Pikachu skipped down and allowed Bonnie to get a hold of him. Soon, he realized it was to be a big mistake. Bonnie hugged him so tightly, he couldn't get catch a breath.

"Ooooohhh! You're so cute!" squealed Bonnie.

"Pi… Pika."

"At last, a familiar sight of a Pikachu."

"Wait, you guys know what a Pikachu is?" asked Ash. It appeared that Ash was oblivious to where Clemont and Bonnie came from.

"Huh? Of course. Pikachu is a Pokemon, isn't he?"

"So that means…?" Ash knew that the siblings were from the same world he came from. As Ash was about to question further, Pikachu just couldn't take the tight pressure anymore. He let out a big Thundershock. Poor Bonnie. She was completely shocked by the blast.

"Eehhh… Wow…."

"Oh, Bonnie. Do apologize to Pikachu."

"But Clemont…" Bonnie gave a small pout. But she understood how Pikachu felt when she hugged him so hard.

"Um, sorry Pikachu."

"Pika Pika!" apologized Pikachu, cheerfully.

"Hahaha. Okay!"

"Well, I wish I could answer your curiousity, Ash. But we got a Pokemon here to heal." Clemont looked at the poor Fennekin, still unconscious and injured from Snimon's attack. Ash looked at her. He was worried and curious at the same time.

"I've never seen that Pokemon before."

"It's a Fennekin. She belonged to a Trainer who mysteriously disappeared somewhere."

"Disappeared?"

"Bro, do you think she was kidnapped?" asked Bonnie.

"Now, let's us not jump to conclusions, Bonnie. But that is a high possibility." Clemont grabbed his chin.

"Well, if it'll make you guys feel better, we can help you find him." said Ash. Clemont and Bonnie showed their consent with smiles on their faces.

"Why thanks, Ash. But what exactly was that thing? I'm pretty sure that wasn't a Pokemon." asked Clemont.

"Yeah, and so are the others there." said Ash, referring to the good Digimon. Then, he looked at Fennekin. She was coming out of her unconsciousness.

"Oh! Fennekin's coming to it!"

"Pika!" They all ran to her. Bonnie picked her up.

"Oh, you poor thing…" said Bonnie. She cradled Fennekin gently.

"We better get her to somewhere safe. Is there, well, a Pokemon Center around here?" asked Clemont.

"No. Bummer. But I know someone who can help." said Ash.

"Great." Clemont turned to Fennekin. "Hang in there, Fennekin."

Bonnie looked up to the sky and wondered;

"Oh, Serena. Where are you? Fennekin's all tuckered out. She could use your help right now."

But it's more likely to be the other way around…

~Meanwhile, hours later~

-Atop a skyscraper-

"*evil chuckle* Now I wonder where those meddling Autobots are?" A tall and dark figure assumed watch over Odaiba. He then turned to a helpless young girl, tied up to an antenna.

"Well, my dear. You'll have to wait a little longer for your release. It's not going to be an easy one, I assure you of that." He pointed his sharp finger on the human. The girl was Serena. She was as fearful as she would be on a Rhyhorn. In fact, she could use a little hectic Rhyhorn ride.

"What's happened to Fennekin? What's going to happen to me?" she thought.

What will happen to Serena? Will our heroes find her? Find out on the next episode!
