Here's the next one :D I've been remembering what it was like to post again in the last week, waking up to reviews people from the North have left overnight. It's a great feeling :) anyway, you know the drill; get on with it.
Chapter 3
"You know that Jackson understands politics, why would you not have just explained the proposal to him?" Tara Overland was by no means a calm woman when it came to her children. She was trying her best not to raise her voice, but she was attracting the attention of the villagers in the square.
"I didn't want him to think I was giving up on us for a trade deal." I hissed under my breath.
"That's exactly what you have done anyway." I shook my head.
"I'm buying us time and keeping the peace with the Isles. If I get my way the marriage will never go ahead." I sighed, "Which Jackson would know if he let me explain everything before running off in a huff." Tara's eyes flashed with an anger that told me to back off her son before she committed treason.
"Well where would he go?" I shrugged,
"He could be anywhere. I'm going to look for him before we return to the castle." She nodded sternly and called Mary to her to storm out of the square. Anna stood silently beside me, watching the Overlands retreating forms.
"Am I coming with you to look?" I shook my head before I turned to her hurt face.
"I have a better chance of tracking him down on my own." She nodded solemnly and pulled me into a tight hug.
"If you're not back by dark I'm sending an army after you." I smiled and turned into the woods. I followed a familiar path, one Jackson and I often found ourselves on when we came out this way to his home. His mother was never too fond of me; initially she thought I was using him for his connection to the people, but I think I've grown on her just a little in recent years. His disappearance may have put a damper on that growing attachment though.
"Jackson!" I called out to the snow. My voice echoed down the path, calling for him over and over again. I hurried faster through the trees, narrowly missing a pile of white slush falling from a branch. Rounding another corner I came to the frozen lake I was looking for, and the man sitting on the small fishing dock ignoring the fact he could see me.
"Don't, Elsa." I took a breath and sat down beside him anyway.
"Jackson, you need to let me explain." I spoke with a firm tone, one he wasn't all too familiar with. He looked up at me and I could feel the hurt in his eyes and it was one of the most painful things I have ever seen. "Please." I put a hand on his arm and the pain dulled.
"What do you have to explain? You're giving up. You know that if you tried you could find new trade routes and still keep the peace with the Isles, but instead you've chosen to give up and marry another man!" He wrenched his arm away from mine and stomped further down the dock.
"Jackson that's not what happened." I stood still, not stepping toward him yet. "I've known Nikolai for a long time; he's not an uncaring person. I needed him to come to Arendelle in good spirits so I could try to reason with his conscience and get him to persuade his father to allow the trade routes to reopen with a political alliance rather than a marital-political alliance. I refuse to make an enemy of the Isles and destroy my Kingdom's future." He didn't respond. I spent several minutes weighing up the pros and cons of going over to him, but before I had made up my mind he was already pulling me into his arms and holding my head to his chest.
"He wont accept that." Jackson breathed through my hair. I leaned away just enough to see his face.
"I have to try, this is my last hope of keeping the peace between us and the Isles. I don't want to marry him, surely you at least know that, but I need time to work things out diplomatically. Without your help this time, for obvious reasons." A deep sigh brewed in his chest that wasn't released. I put my head back to his chest and I could tell that Jackson's eyes were shut as he pressed his lips to the top of my head.
"If this doesn't work I will kill him." I laughed and stepped out of the embrace, taking hold of one of his hands in trade.
"Well how about we take the rest of the day out here? Anna promised, in a way, she wouldn't send a search party till dark." He smiled, a warm smile that erased any bad feelings from the past day, and I walked off the dock and into the trees, Jackson in tow. When we reached the hill I pulled up a small sled from the snow and sat down quickly, leaving enough room for Jackson to take his place behind me before pushing off and projecting us down the hillside at high speed. We were coming to the base of the hill, laughing from the thrills of the speed and we were thrown off the sled into the powder.
"How cliché." Jackson smirked from above me. I was pressed down into the snow, trapped by Jackon's weight on top of me. I laughed and pulled his head down so our lips met. Without breaking contact, I formed a room around us to keep the wind off of Jackson.
The kiss was intended to be just that, but it didn't stop there. Passion kept flowing into it; too hard and fast to stop or slow, so we didn't try. I pulled him tighter to me and he didn't protest, wrapping his arms around me he rolled us so that I was above him. He moved his hands to my hips and I could feel the warmth of his hands through my dress. I smiled against his mouth and I could feel the corners of his flick up in response. For a moment he stopped cold, and I could see instantly what was running through his mind. I put a hand to his cheek.
"It's okay." A smaller smile adorned his face and he rolled us so I was pinned in the snow again, kissing more fervently than before he paused. He pulled is over jacket off, still managing to keep hold of me in the process, but I saw him struggle with the sleeve for a moment, inspiring a giggle to rise from my throat. I kicked off my boots and Jackson followed suit with his own and his second layer of warmth.
Jackson's mouth's attention moved from my mouth to my neck, drawing a line from below my ear down along my neck and shoulder. I took the change in pace as an opportunity to discard my cape and overcoat and weave my hands between us to help with the ties on Jackson's shirt. His lips returned to mine and I finished with the ties, pushing his shirt off with a little more urgency than the previous two layers. His undershirt took not even a second more to remove and discard. All that was left between us was the rather thin material of my dress and his pants.
"Your turn." I smiled, more often these days my dresses are formed by magic. I melted away a layer of it, leaving a thin layer of icy material covering me. "That's just foul play." He kissed me again, kicking his pants off as he did. The rest of my dress melted away with very little effort when combined with the body heat coming off Jackson and myself. There was nothing left but us and the feeling of his hand skimming down my side with the softest of touches forced me to press my mouth harder into his. My arms were wrapped across his back making subconscious lines across his skin. He shifted his body and the feeling of his skin moving against mine pulled a soft moan from me. His lips again found my neck and followed down my chest, between my breasts that he softly drew circles around. "Elsa." He whispered in my ear.
"It's okay." I reassured him again. Gingerly, but still full of passion, heat and immense love, I felt Jackson shift between my legs. I felt him prod at the opening there and slowly, with a moment of concern for the pain to come, he entered. I tightened my grip on his back as I adjusted to the feeling of him finally being inside me. The strange invasive and painful feeling morphed into a beautiful ecstasy soon after and we moved together in a way that could be likened to a dance.
I had never felt pleasure like that inspired by Jackson's love before and we laid for hours together, just laying there in the small room enjoying the quiet.
"It's getting late, if we don't go back soon Anna will come looking." I groaned, curling into Jackson's side further.
"If anyone knew what just happened I would be ruined." I sighed. He kissed the top of my head softly.
"Then it will be our secret."
