Part One
Look Out Takumi
Language Key: English Korean Japanese
We join our favorite duo of trouble as Amber stares frantically at a map, twisting it over and over to look at it from different angles as Avalon drives Amber's new sapphire blue Lamborghini as a birthday present. The two had two months off from SM for working overtime (When they really didn't need to, earning brownie points from a slightly agitated Kim Tan but also a temporary banishment as they didn't take off their appointed vacation days) and decided to journey to Japan.
Hence, finding themselves lost in a new country with no one to ask for directions.
The girls sat in a parking lot to a tall, beautiful school, surrounded by luxurious trees dyed emerald with the summer leaves. In the courtyard of the school were dozens of cherry trees with their blossoms shedding pink petals on the sweet summer breeze.
The two girls sat in the car, staring at the sign that read "Shidou Academy".
Amber: What. The. Actual. Fuck?
Avalon: I don't really know. How did we get here?!
Amber: I don't know! I took a wrong left!
Avalon: How do you get lost?! You always follow the map!
Amber: The map lied!
Avalon: How does a map lie?!
Amber: It just does!
Avalon: Whatever…where are we?
Amber: Shidou Academy.
Avalon: No shit, Sherlock, but what is it?
Amber: 'Sherlock, huh?' Judging by the lack of female uniforms, the seclusion of the building with it being high in the mountains and off any main road in Japan, I'd say it's an all-boys academy. Going by the polished shoes, freshly pressed pants and blazers, they're all wealthy, suggesting this is a prestigious school with a well-known reputation.
Avalon: …what the fuck?
Amber: You called me Sherlock! But, you know what this means?
Avalon: Uh…we're trespassing?
Amber: It means that, with the lack of estrogen fermenting in the air, there is plenty of boy love in the air!
Avalon: While cute, what should we do?
Amber: Explore!
Avalon stared as Amber jumped out of the car and ran up to the school, completely shocked and confused. She looked at the little sequin owl Onew gave Amber to hang on the rearview mirror.
Avalon: Since when in hell am I the voice of reason?! Amber, wait for me!
The two girls stood at the entrance of the school, admiring the building when an elderly gentleman with a kind smile approached them. He wore a nice soft brown suit, a white shirt, and a beige satin tie.
Man: Hello, ladies. My name is Kuran Ichiho. How may I help you?
Amber: Oh, hello. *bows* We are so sorry to intrude, but we are not from Japan. We got lost and suddenly found your school.
Avalon: *bows*
Ichiho: Oh? Where are you girls from?
Avalon: We are from America but we are currently working at SM Entertainment in Seoul, South Korea.
Ichiho: You both work with SM? How fortunate!
Girls: Huh?
Ichiho: We were supposed to have two members of a music business come speak with our students but they were unable to make it…could you two take their place and give a small presentation to our students? We will, of course, offer compensation—
Amber: Um, sensei, that's alright. We'd love to help. Instead of being paid, could we instead be allowed to visit around the school? I've never been to a private academy before.
Avalon: Me neither. Is that too much to ask?
Ichiho: Of course not! You two are more than welcome to wander our school grounds! And we will provide lodging, as well, and you will be able to meet our students.
Amber: Thank you, sensei, we are honored to be here.
Ichiho: It is an honor to have you here, presenting to our students. Will you need long to make a presentation?
Amber: Actually, if it's alright, I show them a presentation I made for marketing strategies for gaining readership for SM's newsletters. It can be interpreted as a business proposition as well, as it contains similar components.
Avalon: I can also give a presentation on working with the technology used to create it. We use different media platforms in order to create our presentations, so, we can show them a combination of everything we do. Do you have students interested in writing, design, and photography?
Ichiho: We have a large amount of students who have hobbies in those areas. We are mostly a business oriented school, but our students have a wide variety of classes offered. You will find no shortage of curious minds here.
Amber: I love curious minds. It makes presentations that much more fun.
Ichiho: I agree. I will meet with the headmaster and have your rooms prepared for you.
Amber and Avalon give Ichiho their numbers for him to get ahold of them and we left to explore the school alone.
Avalon: So…where to first?
Amber: Ah…I dunno…this way!
Amber grabs Avalon's hand and takes off in one direction to the courtyard of the school. It was large, covered in fresh green grass, dotted with pink petals.
Avalon: It looks like a fucking anime exploded on it.
Amber: Right?! Come on! I want to look around!
Avalon: Since when are you the adventurous type?!
Amber: Since this place looks freaking awesome!
Avalon: Watch where you're going!
Amber: Huh?
Amber had turned to look at Avalon and suddenly the two collided into two different but strong chests. Amber held her nose, feeling the sting of pain, before looking up. Avalon rubbed her forehead, suddenly aware that hands were holding her upper arms to keep her from falling. She also looked up.
Standing there, completely confused and slightly amused, were two of the most beautiful boys the girls had seen. And that was something, considering they worked with Korean Pop artists. The one holding Amber had the most impossible shade of deep red hair and she swore to heaven above he must have spent a fortune to turn it that color. It was long, held in a high ponytail, and his bangs were swept to the right, slightly covering the outer corner of his right eye. His eyes were an impossible shade of gold and were made even brighter by the deep red blazer he wore over a black button down shirt and a deep gold tie. He wore black slacks and polished shoes.
Beside her, Avalon was blushing almost as deeply as the boy she collided with. He stood half a head shorter than the one next to him which still left him taller than Avalon. The one gently holding her upper arms had black, unkempt, and almost wild black hair. His bangs were swept to the right and kept short, layered like the rest of his hair. His skin was smooth and the color of alabaster, except his face, which took on the same hue as a perfectly ripened tomato. In contrast to that color, his eyes were as bright and as deep as the sky, shimmering like water. He wore a lighter red blazer over a white button down shirt and no tie. He wore dark brown slacks and black polished shoes.
The two girls stared at the boys for a few seconds when the redhead suddenly burst out laughing. Amber felt his laugh like an earthquake was felt by a tree. It was deep and loud, but not annoyingly so. She raised an eyebrow and the boy next to him turned his eyes away from Avalon.
