Extremely sorry I hadn't updated sooner! I have no other excuse except for writers block and procrastination, haha. Anyways, I hope you like this chapter! If you could please tell me what you thought of this chapter, some constructive criticism would be nice. Thanks ^-^

"Where are they? They should be here?" Dean said walking around the room; knife in hand. "I'm here you sons of bitches!" he yelled.

"Are you sure this is where they were?" asked Garth.

"Yes, I'm sure! Kelly was supposed to come out from over there!" Dean said as he pointed with his knife to the door opposite of him.

"Maybe we missed them?" Garth suggested.

"You didn't miss them." A deep voice said.

Dean turned around immediately knowing who the voice belonged to. He looked Cas in the eyes, giving him a look as to say he wasn't supposed to be here.

"What do you mean we didn't miss them?" He finally said.

"They were never here."

"Then where is Sam?" Dean demanded.

Cas didn't answer. He didn't know what Dean wanted to hear, but as he grew more impatient by the minute he knew his answer would have to do.

"Sam is dead."

"No, he can't be. I spoke to him on the phone."

"No you didn't. Sam's in heaven. I saw him."

Dean stood in silence for what seemed like hours. He couldn't believe what Cas was telling him. His brother was truly dead and it was his entire fault. Dean thought for just a second he might be able to make it all right, but now he knew it was too good to be true.

Even though he felt as if a truck load of bricks had been dumped on him he couldn't help but feel a pang of satisfaction that Sam had made it into Heaven. After everything he had been through; growing up a hunter's life, losing his girlfriend and his father, getting addicted to demons blood, going to hell and coming back only to find that he had no soul. No one should have had to go through that. No one would have even imagined someone going through that, but yet it still happened. Of course Dean thought of bringing Sam back down, but who is he to bring him back only to relive more hell; and for what, because he couldn't live without his brother?

"I'm gonna give you guys sometime. I'll be in the car." Garth said as he walked out giving the two of them privacy, knowing this was between them.

Dean nodded at Garth and turned to Cas. "So what now? I can't bring him back. Not after all he's been through." Dean said excepting the fact it was time to stop.

"I don't really know what to say, but when I saw Sam up in heaven he told me to give this to you." Cas reached inside his trench coat and pulled out a folded letter from his front pocket.

Dean took it from Cas slowly; he wasn't sure if he really wanted to know what Sam had to say. He looked at the note in his hand, roughly folded and after a moment he carefully opened it and began reading.

Dear Dean,

I know everything that has happened lately has been a bit much, and I'm sorry. I wish I could have been there, but as you see I'm sort of away at the moment. There's really not much I can do right now except write you this letter so I just wanted to let you know it's ok. I know you didn't mean to do what you did. We weren't ourselves and there was a chance it could have been you instead of me so don't eat yourself up about it. And I know what you're thinking. Don't come to see me. I'll be fine up here. I'm with Jo, Ellen, Pamela, Ash, and Bobby. They say hi.

Anyways, your life isn't over just yet and I think it's time to get it started. You have been to hell and back and that's more than any hunter could have said. Start a family, live a life that doesn't involve killing monsters or creatures, do something for yourself for once! It's time to end this for good. I'd rather you die from old age than a bullet to the head. So I guess this is it, for real this time. I love you Dean, thanks for everything. I'll see you soon.

-Sam

Dean smiled letting a tear roll down his cheek and onto the paper. "Dammit!" He cursed. What now? He thought to himself. There was nothing now. It was over. Dean looked up to see Cas staring back at him, a concerned expression on his face. He had forgotten Cas was there the whole time. Live a life, do something for yourself for once, ran across his mind over and over again. "Okay." He whispered to himself.

Dean took a deep breath and walked over to Cas grabbing him by his trench coat and pulling him down, kissing him deeply. Everything that had happened the past months had suddenly been erased from thought and the only thing on his mind was Cas. He decided Sam was right, and he was going to start living the life he wanted.

Dean never really did stop hunting. Together he and Cas continued to fight monsters, and creatures. They never married each other, but to them they didn't need some paper telling them if they really loved each other. "I love you" wasn't really shared much between the two but nonetheless they knew it anyhow. Besides, It wasn't like they had anyone else to talk to about everything they had been through together? It seems a normal family just isn't fit for a hunter and angel.

Unfortunately thirty-one years later Dean suffered a stroke and was unable to hunt any longer. Throughout the next few years Cas never left his side. Two years later and Dean passed away at the age of sixty-seven due to cardiac arrest.

"What the hell?" Dean said surveying the area around him, only to see trees that went on for miles. "How did I end up here?"

Dean walked through the woods for what seemed like hours until he came upon a small rusty shack. He couldn't understand what drew him to it, but the symbol drawn on the door could only mean one thing. As he reached the shack and opened the door, it was clear where he was.

"Didn't start the party without me did you?" He said as he almost ran into Sam giving him a hug.

"Dean, it's great to see you!" Sam said with a grin gracing his face.

"You too brother." He couldn't help but smile.

"And you never looked better." Jo said coming from the back of the bar.

Dean confused, looked at his hands only to see they weren't as old looking as he had remembered them to be before. They looked considerably younger for his age.

"How am I-"

"When you die, you regain your appearance from your most memorable years, or how people remember you the most." Ellen answered before he could finish.

"I think it's pretty sweet! Don't you? " piped Ash who was sitting at the bar.

"He's never gonna get over that." Pamela said, sitting next to Ash

"Yea, but where's Bobby?" Dean asked.

"I'm right here, you idjit." Bobby said from his left handing him a cold beer.

"I see you have found everyone." Cas appeared behind Jo, who had jumped slightly at the unexpected sound of his voice.

Dean chuckled, looking over everyone. He was glad to be with everyone again. They weren't the perfect family, but like Bobby said Family doesn't end with blood.
