Chapter 5
JR walked into John Ross's room, and shut the door. John Ross came out of the bathroom , and smiled when he saw his Dad.
"Dad you surprised me, I really thought it was over with you two but Mom is back here at Southfork in your bed"
"You watch your mouth have respect when talking about your Mother. We love each other we always have. What did you come running in my room to talk about"?
"Nothing really I just felt like talking about a deal I closed at the Office but it isn't important tell me about you, and Mom"
"There is nothing to talk about"
"Dad don't hurt her again she can't take being hurt by you again"
"I won't hurt her, I can promise you that. I'm not the man I once was Son, I hope she can handle that"
"What are you talking about you are the same man I have known growing up. You got older but you have not changed Dad"
"You might be right, I just hate that my body has given up on me"
"Mom just wants you back Dad but I really don't need to know what you do together"
"I'm going to make her happy , I am going to do it right this time"
John Ross smiled, "Go to Mom we can talk tomorrow"
"John Ross I got your blessing right"
"Yes you got my blessing " JR hugged John Ross, and left the room, and walked back to his room, and smiled Sue Ellen was still awake waiting for him.
JR took his housecoat off, and walked over to the bed, and got in.
'What did John Ross want"?
"Nothing really he said he gave us our blessing"
"JR do you really think we have a chance to get it right"?
"Yes I know we wasted so many years of our life, but yes I think we have a chance to get it right, and spend whatever time we have left together making each other happy. I know I don't deserve another chance but I really do love you Sugar"
Sue Ellen was so overwhelmed she touched JR's face, and said.
"I have waited so long to hear those words from you JR. We really messed up, but there isn't anywhere else I want to be than in your arms right this moment".
JR pulled her into his arms, and they just held each other. What they were sharing right this moment was more special than them making love. They were content just being together, and knowing that in the morning they would not wake up alone. They fell asleep holding each other it was the first night they slept through the night. They were content for the first time in so long. They didn't know how much time they had to be together but one thing they knew they were not going to waste another single moment of their lives apart.
