Shuffling into the dimly lit bar that was playing some sort of music on low from an ancient jukebox in some back corner, Kagome made a beeline towards the bar and plopped on a free stool next to a giant of a man.

"What can I get ya?" a portly man, the obvious bar tender, ask as he leaned down on the bar.

"The strongest you have." rubbing at her temples, Kagome was mentally going over her stay in New York.

Ever since that damn psycho slash pervert, that called himself Deadpool, incident back in her apartment, Sesshoumaru came in and arranged for a new place for her to live. Of course it wasn't for free.

No. Nothing was ever free with Sesshoumaru. She was working it off by meeting with potential business partners. Her recent meeting with Tony Stark having accomplished nothing, the man was a certified flirt.

"Ya sure?"

Tired and bleary eyes looked up towards the older man behind the bar as she continued to rub at her temples. Her brows angled in slight discomfort as did the corner of her lips dipped down slightly.

He nodded his head after catching her look of pained displeasure. "Got it."

Now, Kagome wasn't much of a drinker, but being back in the city that had turned her life upside down, dealing with Stark as well as Sesshoumaru's demands, she felt like she was carrying the world on her shoulders. And now her friends were calling to tell her how unfair it was that she was back in New York, even if it was for work.

Hearing the sound of a glass being placed on the wooden bar in front of her, Kagome looked up and stared at the glass with amber liquid. She promised herself a few drinks before she went home and ordered herself something. She was not in the mood to cook this day.

Grabbing the glass she brought it to her lips and knocked back the entire contents down in one shoot. Swallowing the burning liquid and grimacing, she placed it back on the bar and asked for another.

"You sure you going to be able to handle that?"

As the bartender refilled her drink, Kagome turned towards the man she was sitting next too. His size dwarfed her in height and width. A leather jacket over some form of button up shirt, jeans and biker boots only made him feel that much bigger.

Dark brown hair was styled in such a way, that the hair on the side of his head covered his ears, while also looking like wolf ears. It swept down into thick sideburns and into a scruffy beard. Intense brown eyes watched her from beneath slightly furrowed brows.

He sort of reminded her of Kouga, and in her exhausted state, cute in a burly sort of way.

Chuckling to herself about such thoughts, she shook her head. "Yeah, I've had stronger." Picking up the glass, she eyed the contents with furrowed brows. "What is this anyways?"

"You ask for the strongest the bar has, and not know what it is?"

Glancing at the male, Kagome had easily picked up on his tone. It was shocked with a touch that sounded slightly disapproving.

"Worried I might fall over or something?"

"With your size and how quickly that stuff kicks in. Yes."

Kagome hummed as she took a sip of the drink, actually tasting it this time. It was smoky, woody and somewhat sweet. "Thanks for the concern, but when I said I've had stronger... I meant it. This is going to be my last glass. I just needed something to help me unwind after today."

"Rough day?"

"Like you wouldn't believe."

"Try me."

Glancing at him, maybe to see if he was being serious or not, she was shocked to see his open honesty as well as curiosity. "You always ask strange women you meet at a bar about her day?"

"Depends on the woman."

Her lips curled into a lopsided smile. It would be nice to talk with someone, even if they were a stranger. But there was one thing she wanted to make clear first.

"This is only strangers talking, yeah? There will be no expectations of me to either, follow you home or me welcome you into my hotel room for the night, is there? Cause let me tell you buddy, I'm not like that." she smirked when he quirked a brow.

"Just strangers talking and sharing a drink."

She heard what he left unsaid.

What happens after, happens.

So, she started up on how her life was currently... not a life at the moment. Explaining how her life had been turned upside down the last time she was in New York during the summer. How her boss slash... family person paid for a new apartment after she had been... attacked, but was making her work it off by sending her to see perverted flirts to establish business partnerships.

"I don't know anymore... I think I should have gone for a different career. Perhaps a teacher. Less stressful."

"Don't bet on it."

Seeing his slight grimace, she had to raise a brow. "You're a teacher?"

"Ya sound pretty surprised."

"Well... you don't exactly look like a teacher." she waved a hand to indicate how he looked. "I mean no disrespect. But you look like someone that prefers a more solitary life. If you had to settle down in one place, I'd see you more as someone... working in a garage, or owning your own bar. But I get the feeling you're the type of person who needs to be on the go."

He grunted, pretty much hitting who he was dead on. "Ya barely know me. How do you figure all that?"

"Hmmm... call it instinct. Or intuition... A mix of both."

He was about to reply when she suddenly stiffened in her seat, letting out a whimper and hunched in on herself before slinking off her stool and quickly clutched her belongings to her chest as she moved to hide herself from the door by switching to his other side. Brow raised, he watched as she made herself all the more tiny and hid herself in his shadow.

About to ask if she was alright, the bar's entrance was forcefully kicked open, startling the other patrons.

Whipping his head about to face the idiot that caused the disturbance, he growled lowly under his breath in annoyance at who stood in the doorway.

Wade Wilson. Aka, Deadpool.

He turned his head slightly with a raised brow towards Kagome when he heard her muttering under her breath.

"I'm not here, I'm invisible. I'm not here, I'm invisible. God don't let him see me~."

Apparently, he wasn't the only one that had dealings with the damnable merc. Raising his glass to take a swig, he eyed the red and black clad nuisance as he marched in. Though both his brows did raise when they caught sight what he was carrying. A bouquet of orchids and a small wrapped gift.

And he only knew what flowers they were because of Storm and her greenhouse.

Wade marched in, whistling a happy tune. Either those were gifts for him, for some unlucky soul, or an assassination had gone well.

As much as he hated to think it, he was hoping it was the last. Only someone as crazy as Wade would give him those gifts, or he pitied the unlucky one that caught the man's attention. Shifting his head slightly at still hearing Kagome muttering quietly under her breath, he had a pretty good suspicion what the case was.

"There goes my day." with his words breaking the tense silence, Logan finished his drink and waved the nervous bartender for another. He could only hum when the bottle as left instead.

"Well, if it isn't the Wolfman."

"Not today Wade, I happen to be in a good mood." he heard Kagome's questioning tone as she repeated Wade's name.

"Fear not oh foul beast, for I as well, am in a most glorious state." Logan growled lowly when Wade plopped himself in the seat Kagome had left open. Placing the gifts on the bar before him, Wade slumped and let out a sigh. "Ah, love. Isn't it wonderful?"

"Love?" both brows were most likely in his hair line by now. Either Wade had lost what little marbles he had left or... He started to pity Kagome.

"I met the most wonderful woman a few months back. Feisty. I like feisty. And an amazing cook. Not that it's a surprise, she get's that from her mother. Who's also a lovely woman by the way. Now if my Kagome knew how to make chimi-"

"You met my mother?!"

Logan actually jumped slightly in surprise, not at all expecting the sudden outburst with how hard the young woman had been trying to hide herself. Turning to the vividly upset little thing, he raised a brow at the sheer anger that was written on her face as she pointed an accusing finger in Wade's direction.

Wade, ignoring the state that Kagome was in as well as her question, perked up and threw himself at her. "Kagome, darling!"

Kagome squeaked as the man wrapped himself around her like a giant cat, forcing her to bend backwards somewhat awkwardly as he nuzzled his face into her neck and under her chin. This was a new development, he had never been so... touchy-feely. And the few attacks on her while he stayed in Japan and actually stalked her didn't count.

Blinking a few times, Kagome needed the few short moments to come to realization of her current situation. The moment she did however, she began the struggle of trying to free herself and get him off of her at the same time.

"I swear to all that is holy, if you've hurt my family in any way..." she huffed when she managed to free an arm, which had caused her outfit to become completely rumpled in the process.

A few buttons had become loose, the shoulder of her newly freed arm was exposed and bearing a black bra strap. Pushing on a broad shoulder, Kagome panted when it felt like pushing against a brick wall. What the hell was this man made of?!

"Oh don't be like that. I know our lovers spat hurt you, but I swear, I'm turning over a whole new leaf!"

"Lovers... lovers spat?!" her head reared back as far as she could. What was wrong with this man?

"Wade, leave her alone, you're scaring the others."

Logan's voice sounded like hope from above when Wade stiffened and turned his attention towards the man still sitting at the bar. Still wrapped around Kagome, the two men seemed to have a stare off before Kagome could make out that Wade was frowning... well perhaps glaring, at Logan from beneath his mask.

"Back off wolfman, I saw her first so she's mine." he shifted so he was behind her, one arm wrapped around her shoulders while his other hand drew a gun and had it aimed at Logan.

"Oh my-! Put that damn thing away before you do something stupid!" Kagome once again squirmed in his hold. "And you can't just claim me like some... some... toy or something!"

Wade however, was ignoring her with keeping his eyes on the threat across from them, making sure to keep her in his hold. Her squirming however caused his hold to shift, his hand to drop and Kagome froze the instant his fingers flexed and blood rushed to her cheeks when she caught Logan's eyes fall to what was taking place.

"Hmmm." the entire bar was staring at this point, seeing as Wade had dropped his head to look at what exactly was in his hand at the moment. Tilting his head, he really observed his hand and what he was holding with keen interest. "Nice. Very nice indeed. I'd say a B, almost a C."

Kagome's cheeks blush intensify, she felt it running down her neck only to disappear beneath her rumpled shirt. It didn't help that Logan was only watching at the moment, or that Wade was dead on about her size.

Closing her eyes, her brow began to tick as he continued to molest her. At first, she hadn't reacted due to being stuck in the man's hold while he held a gun, second she had not expected physical contact, let alone this type. But as he began to rub large circles and squeeze, her hands shook before she reached upward take hold his unoccupied hand and with as much force, managed to throw him over her shoulder and over the actual bar.

If the bar hadn't been still and silent before, it was now, and with all eyes on her. She was still stuck in the final position of having tossed Wade over her shoulder and into the bar area, panting. Someone muttered something under their breath, Kagome instantly began righting herself as best she could.

Ignoring the amused chuckling and the sound of Wade collecting himself as well, Kagome finished fixing her appearance. Once she deemed her appearance fixed, she moved forward only to pause at the sight that greeted her.

Wade had laid himself along the bar surface in something that one could consider provocative, the small gift leaning against his hip covering his crotch while his free hand tapped against it lightly. His other hand propped up his head, she could make out a smile beneath his mask and the bouquet of flowers laying harmlessly in front of him.

"The merc of love is here and your willing slave. With the little show just now, I can tell you're a hell cat in the bed."

Brow ticking, she walked forward and grabbed her belongings as calmly as she could ignoring the male that seemed to be her latest limpet. The way she figured, he would either learn she wasn't interested or would grow bored. As long as it meant he left her in peace, then she would be happy.

"Don't be like that. Why don't you open the gift I got you." he sing songed while tapping the small wrapped up box as he tried to bring her in on the conversation. "And if you dig deep enough, you'll get to the delicious center."

Kagome paused, arm half way through her jacket sleeve and lips pinched. Even if one was deaf, they could hear the innuendo in that. Shaking her head and continuing in putting her jacket on, she snapped it so it would sit on her shoulders properly.

After tying the belt securely and shrugging her purse over her shoulder, she moved forward. Sadly, she ended up standing next to him so she could pay for her drinks, even if the second one laid on the bartop barely untouched. She was amazed that it hadn't been knocked over when she tossed Wade.

"Here's a number you can call about repairs. I really am sorry about that." she offered a friendly smile, though it was quickly wiped off when she felt petals were being lightly brushed against her cheek.

Turning her head, she eyed the blooms, mentally being awed by the fade of blues to violets. She sneezed when the flowers brushed barely under her nose, her brow ticking when Wade snickered.

When he did it repeatedly, she snatched her hand out and grabbed the bouquet. "Give me those. You… I… Stupid! Arg… I need sleep." letting out a sigh and her shoulders slumping a bit she turned to her drinking buddy. "It was nice meeting you Logan."

Turning to her stalker, she rolled her eyes when he leaned closer. She could make out that his lips were moving and it was obvious what he wanted from the comical kissing sounds he was creating.

"Night… Wade." with that, she started walking out of the bar and headed towards her apartment.

"No goodnight kisses?"

Logan rolled his eyes as he took another swig of his drink. "You're alive, in one piece and conscious. Be happy with that Wade."

"Ah… can't die remember? And she could have any piece of me if she wanted. Though it would be more fun with me attached… I think."

Logan shuddered. He did not want to know what the other man was even thinking. Instead, he decided to eye the man, should the relative calm be broken at the drop of a hat into something more chaotic. Which was rather normal with Wade.

Blinking, Logan actually thought about that for a moment. This was the longest he had seen Wade acting as close to sane as possible.

"And the last one can be worked on."

Turning his attention back onto the man that was still splayed out on the bar, he could only blink and second guess his earlier thoughts at the next words Wade said out loud.

"She so wants me. Good thing I know where's she staying. Now I just need to call a certain friend to help get me to her floor."

Opening his mouth to say something in Kagome's defense, Logan snapped his mouth shut instead. Whatever he had to say would be ignored. And as much as he hated to even think it, he was getting the feeling that Kagome would actually be good for Wade.

And if all else failed, she pretty much knew how to handle him.

He raised his glass after Wade left the bar, a little too much swag in his step, he also prayed to anyone willing to listen for Kagome's sake. She was going to need it.

AN: Not exactly X-Men, but don't worry, I'm working on a plot for that one. Though this one does have Logan in it, so hopefully this pleases you guys. Other than that; read, enjoy, and review!
