Hey all. I wrote a chapter pretty quickly and it's the first one of the fight. Yay. Funniest thing happened. I sat down today, with my tea and and laptop ready to dictate her meeting of Zach the first time as well as the start of the fight. But the minute she started talking Emmett burst in and started telling it from his side. So Asima bowed out and let him tell a piece of the story. This is the only Emmett POV and I must warn you, he swears more freely than the others, so be try not to get offended. That's just how he is... Review please. Thank you.

Chapter 29- Havoc

"I thought Merit said there were here? Where the hell are they?" I demanded, abandoning my group to pace back and forth. I couldn't just fucking stand there.

Allie let out a patient sigh, "We're not going to be able to smell them. And the moon isn't out yet. You wouldn't fight us without turning."

"We'll hear them when they approach," Asima promised, but she looked just as irritated as I was.

I walked over to Seth, ready in wolf form and cooling his heels like the rest of us. "Any news on the Jennah front? Can you hear Leah?"

He lowered his head once and then tilted his head like he was listening. I was going to be pissed if they got action before us. "He says Sami, Rami, and Leah are on patrols… everything's quiet for now."

Yep, glad I didn't choose to stay behind. "Yep, glad I didn't go that route."

"Will you stand still for a second you idiot?! It's annoying." Rosie growled shaking her head. I didn't stand still, choosing to go wrap my arms around her, pick her up, and give her a long kiss.

My Rosie snapped on me so much, and I knew her so well that I knew exactly why she was snapping this time. She was scared, and nervous and anger was the easiest way to keep from seeming vulnerable. Kind of like me and my jokes.

I broke our kiss but didn't let her go. Her eyelids fluttered about a thousand times a second and I smirked. Look at her all lost and confused…my kisses are pretty hot.

She blinked a few more times and rolled her eyes but she couldn't know what I was thinking. "Proud of yourself?" She asked smirking back. But her black eyes didn't think it was funny.

Shit! She did know what I was thinking. Whelp, since I'm already busted, "My kisses are hot enough to make you all fluttery—like a girl."

"Will you put me down you big idiot?" She gave up, but at least she laughed this time, so I didn't mind putting her back on the ground. "Will you please focus? I don't want anything to happen to you."

She was worried about me, "It'd be a lot easier to focus if you weren't wearing these." I defended pulling at the waist of her shorts so that I could sneak another kiss. "It's distracting."

"Now who's deflecting?" My Rosie accused raising her eyebrows.

She did look smokin' hot in those shorts, but she was right. I was just as nervous as she was, and part of me wanted to beg her to sit this one out. Even though she wouldn't have done it without me, the other half of me needed her here. We've kicked ass together since we'd met. But instead of telling her that, I gave her ass a squeeze. "Those shorts are pretty hot…"

"Get a room you two," Jasper snapped, probably feeling all the heat Rosie and I were giving off.

Rose wasn't about to let him ruin it though. She grabbed me by my shirt collar and planted another kiss on me, giving me a little tongue action before biting my lip and I could feel the slight sting of her venom. Yeah, she knew how I liked it…

I went to pull her in for another and she stopped me, "After you don't die."

Great, now I was going to die from frustration if the werewolves didn't kill me… "You're more dangerous than the werewolves Rosie."

"And don't forget it," She smirked, letting me go, putting her hands above her head—stretching, making her shirt rise so that I could see the smooth ivory of her waist.

If that wasn't bad enough she slowly rolled her neck, before dropping her hands to touch her toes. I growled catching more than one of those Volturi motherfuckers staring. She turned around pretending to look innocent. "Something wrong?"

"We're going to be a few vampires short if one more person ogles you." I snarled bringing her back at my side. That way any asshole that wanted to look could see me and get a reminder of who'd be ripping him apart.

Possessive much, Eddie coughed trying to hide a laugh.

Shut it asshole, you'd do the same thing if it was Bella they were eye fucking.

He didn't look so amused anymore. Though I don't think 'eye fucking' is a term I'd like to use in reference to Bella, you do have a point.

"They're coming, I can hear them," Carlisle broadcasted staring off across the distance.

I looked around, there was no moon in the sky yet—they were early. Cocky assholes.

Eddie looked up at the campsite where Merit was looking over Nessie. "Renemsee's awake."

"Look," Maggie pointed across the way and I could see them.

About seven of them lead the way, with about thirty following. "They look like regular humans…" I whispered to Jasper next to me.

"That's the problem…" Jasper agreed shifting Allie behind him.

I tried to do the same with Rosie, but she smacked my hand away. "I didn't come out here to hide behind you." Then looked behind me at our tiny sister. "Look sharp girls."

Alice nodded and stepped from behind Jasper, and Bella let go of Ed's hand with a look on her face I hadn't seen since she was a newborn and wanted to take a chunk out of Jacob's neck. Ed looked like he wanted to protest, but what could he do. They obviously weren't afraid of throwing their girls out there and protecting ours and trying to fight could get us hurt and them.

You're right…

I know I'm right… I nodded once, even though he scared me. What am I right about though?

Eddie just shook his head watching them close in. As they got closer, we could hear their heartbeats. They sounded like a normal humans—well maybe a human that'd been running, but nothing strange. The only thing that maybe freaked me out a bit was the fact that none of them seemed scared.

A few of the guys looked angry, but for the most part the group looked like college students heading to the kegger of the year—and being a veteran frat guy, I should know. There was no real formation but they were kind of grouped off as they walked. Some were holding hands others were laughing and slapping each other on the backs. One guys did a flip off a rock and landed on his feet getting some praise from his buddies.

"Are we fighting or partying?" I finally asked wondering did anyone else not see what I saw.

A few of the Volturi shifted uneasy, their carefree body language throwing them off their game. "Maybe it's the moon?" Ben guessed shrugging.

They had gone as far as they were going to go, and one of the women upfront raised a hand to halt them. Out of all of them she looked the most pissed, but she kept scanning our crowd, looking for someone. It had to be Merit or Nessie, but my money was on Nessie.

When the group had all shut up a guy from the front stepped forward a bit.

"You must be Zach," Asima guessed trying to keep the growl out of her voice. "For someone that's caused my family so much trouble I expected you to be taller."

It was funny, because Asima couldn't be more than 5'3 herself. He was about Rose's height, maybe an inch taller, but 5'10 is short as shit for a guy. He was tanned, with black hair that was about as crazy as Edward's but his had hope, since it was about as long as Jazz's. Nothing special.

Zach smiled at Asima, "Well I like to think I make up for it with other qualities."

"Oh my…" Maggie breathed loosening the tie of her cloak. I had to turn around to make sure I heard that shit right. What the hell is up with her?

I could hear Jacob's growl from the back, and he lunged through most of them. Lucky for us Bella trapped him to keep him from going anywhere. "You must be Jack…." He stared at the growling wolf looking as unimpressed as I was with him.

"It's Jake." Edward corrected, losing his temper. "You'll be aquatinted soon enough."

Zach's eyes widened, looking between Edward and Bella like he knew them. "Mom, Dad, this is hardly how I wanted us to meet. Do we have to be so hostile? I came to speak to you in a civil manner before all of this unpleasantness. We are going to be family after all."

"I'm not your mother…" Bella swore. But she was all soft and breathy, like the fire in her words was gone.

Carlisle took over, realizing that something was up. "If you mean as you say then go ahead."

I hated this part. Why do we always try to talk, when we know were going to fight anyway?

"Carlisle, I could have come when the moon was full, and we could have went straight to the slaughter part. Part of me wants to, considering my in-laws broke into my home, stole my fiancé, and almost killed my sister."

He was right about the sister and break in part butIn laws, fiancé? This guy had a warped view of reality. Jacob snapped and growled, but Bella didn't let him go. Hell I was pretty sure between Jabril, Asima, and Bella one of them had a shield around all of us right now.

"But, I know how much that would upset Reenie, and werewolves understand the concept of family more than anyone. So for the last time, I'm going to offer you and your family asylum. Leave your Italian comrades, hand over Merit, return my Reenie to me, and I'll let you go in peace."

I could answer that one, "Never gonna happen, chief."

"Zach!" Nessie screamed from the top of the cliff, and every immortal head shot in the direction. "Guys!"

Zach eyes scaled the cliff face until he found her, legs hanging over the edge waving. She looked scared and worried but on top of that she looked relieved that they were here. What the hell? "Be careful Reenie darling. I don't want you falling off."

"They're my family," She stressed not leaving the spot, pleading of our behalf. "Don't hurt them."

"We're working that out now sweet heart," Zach held a finger up using some sick lovey-dovey voice. "Whatever happens you aren't to leave the safety of the cliff until one of us comes and gets you do, alright?"

A small woman about Allie's height with curly red hair looked up at where Zach's eyes were. She hit the tall brunette next to her. "There she is," then called louder, "Hey Sis!"

"We've missed you!" A long legged brunette called, dressed like she was heading to a country club instead of a fight.

The blonde next to her was practically bouncing. "Her girl, the 'damsel in distress' shit looks hot on you. I'm surprised Zach hasn't climbed the wall and—"

Jacob and Edward were growling before she could finish her sentence, but it was the werewolf with a pedigree what shushed her. "—Melanie. Zach is negotiating with his in-laws."

"Sorry Zach," the Melanie girl muttered, but he was rubbing the sides of his head.

We could here Nessie laughing from the top of the cliff. "Awe I've missed you guys too…"

"They've already said no!" Another blonde with a Scottish accent and wave hair snapped.

But the guy with blue hair snapped her into submission, "Not now Jinny! Shut up."

"She's a part of our family," A dark haired twin that with the tactless blonde snaked around him added.

Jake barked a protest, and Eddie snapped, "She's our family."

And with a bickering of the sides I almost felt bad for them. Nessie was a great person, of course they'd want her to be with them. But she was my only niece and it'd be over my burning body that I'd let her go with werewolves.

"That one on the end can fight over me any day…" A random girl breathed behind me.

Some other girl put her two cents in, "If she won't go with him, I sure as hell will…"

Jasper looked down at Alice, probably feeling something weird. "Alice, are you alright?"

Her black eyes stared off dreamily in the direction of the four men up front. "…What a pretty shade of blue…"

Jazz's mouth dropped, and Jabril's did too. "Snap out of it sis." I hissed wondering what is wrong with her.

"You do know that they're here to kill us right?" Benjamin reminded, watching Maggie bite her bottom lip. Her eyes glued.

Maggie nodded but didn't look away, "Oh we know…"

"…We can just understand how Nessie can get… drawn in." Alice defended, her voice just as breathy as Maggie's.

Then I knew something was up because Bella nodded, "A guy facing an army without fear because you're his."

"Bella!" Eddie's eyes widened, in horror.

Whatever werewolf mojo was in the air, it was working in overdrive, it had most of the girls all hot and bothered. Luckily my girl—.

"Five o'clock shadows, with strong arms, all commanding…definitely hot." My girl purred in that kitten voice what was only used for me. Her fingers twirled the hair that rested on her neckline as she watched the 'identicals' talk to the angry blonde. "Twins…" She whimpered, fucking whimpered.

Oh these assholes had to die, all of them. I grabbed her wrist, and locked my arms around her when she started reaching for them. "Oh HELL no!"

"But they're twins Emmie…." She pleaded sounding like a kid.

I look next to me and Jasper has pretty much done the same thing for Allie. Seth was rubbing his nose against Asima's neck trying to get her attention, but she was completely lost.

"What the hell is going on Eddie?" I grunted trying to keep my girl from making kissy faces at our enemy.

Ed concentrated, listening to Merit no doubt. "Merit says it's the pheromones they're giving off in overdrive because of the moon."

"How do we stop it?" Benjamin demanded holding onto Maggie, who already dropped her cloak from her shoulders. It was a good idea not to wear it in a fight, but attempting werewolf sex wasn't a good idea.

"She said it'll go away once they've changed."

"Well the moon needs to hurry the hell up." Jasper swore watching his lady wave trying to get the blue haired werewolf's attention.

I knew that the women up front were obviously with the guys they were next o, but none of them even cared that every vampire woman was looking at their men like they were something to eat. They looked irritated, but not at them.

The small ginger pulled on Zach's hand. "Moon rise…"

Zach nodded, "Mom, dad, this is your last chance to take our offer…"

Eddie was too busy holding Bella, "Not a chance in hell," He growled with a new hatred. "This ends tonight."

A few people in the far back started screaming, hunching over on the ground, and you could hear their bones snapping and cracking from where we stood.

Pretty soon over half of them were breaking and shifting with the same agony, the ones up front still stood tall though. If I had to guess that meant they were probably older, and didn't have to give into the moon so easily.

Zach's forehead was shiny with sweat, and he shook his head, like our willingness to fight made him sad or some shit. "Then you brought this all on yourselves."

The ginger girls knees gave out and she clutched the ground next to her friends, the uppity brunette hastily snatching her sweater over her head not caring who saw here. Not that there was much to see since the fur was already pushing out of her skin.

"Gross…" Rosie breathed watching them all scream, grunt, and fight their bodies to stay human.

I let her go once I was sure she lost her sex haze, "Twins huh?"

Rosie's eyes widened, and for the first time in probably ever— she looked embarrassed and started stammering. "I—I didn't mean— I don't know what that"

"Relax Rosie, I know. It's not your fault." I forgave quickly, not taking my eyes off of the werewolves growing in front of us. I looked around for a quick second, all of the girls seemed to be feeling just as foolish.

Alice didn't even get her apology out before Jazz let her off the hook. "I know Alice—."

Eddie decided to claim Bella back with a quick last second kiss—which wouldn't have been a bad idea if I knew I'd be able to resist the urge to sweep Rosie up, and take her out of harm's way. Asima kissed Seth on the nose petting him. Probably having some conversation with him in his head.

"It's starting," Jabril stated the obvious.

The screams and snapping was being replaced quickly with growls and heavy breathing, and once by one they started to stand. "Sexy time's over…" I agreed making my Rosie scowl.

"I'm never going to live this down am I?" Rose groaned.

It made me smirk, "Not a chance in hell, Babes."

A few seconds or so passed that, neither side breathed. We just sized each other up, and fear set in when we realized what Merit was saying. These motherfuckers were huge, some shaggy some with short fur, some black, dirty blonde, brown, auburn and so on but none of them looked like they couldn't walk away from this.

I squeezed Rosie's hand tighter, but it surprised me when I felt Allie grab my other free hand. She was already holding Jaspers. The four of us would make up our group. "Together…" Allie breathed trying to shake away her fear.

I nodded but Rosie answered, "Together."

"No survivors," Carlisle reminded grouping tighter with Eddie, Bella, and Josh—one of the Volturi guard members.

"Didn't plan on it pops." I growled crouching lower wonder what the best angle of attack was.

Then a random wolf sprang forward and everything else followed suit.

"Keep her low!" Jazz snapped dodging the swipe of a werewolf. We didn't know which one it was, but it was brown.

These fuckers were fast as hell, I pushed Allie lower and let Rose spear it into the ground. The thing recovered just as fast as she did.

I there was fighting all around us, and I wanted to see how my family was doing, but we were barely holding our own with this one guy.

"Go around him!" Allie snapped curling her tiny frame so that she could safely roll between the things legs attempting to climb up its back.

I grabbed its leg from the side and squeezed as hard as I could thankful to hear it crush. The thing yelped back bucked wildly sending Allie flying before she could grab on. "Be careful Alice!" Jazz snapped trying his best to get to her ignoring the wolf that rolled in the dirt.

"I got her!" Rose promised holding her arms out, before Alice went crashing into her, "No I don't got her!"

"Shit!" I swore because based on the way they were flying they'd ram right into me.

And they did, tripping me up, the three of us rolling.

"You guys okay?" I checked, they nodded and I pushed myself up and leapt for the werewolf up righting himself.

He turned around too quickly, sending a claw across my chest the high pitch scrape making my ears ring. He pinned me quick, his nails locking into the side of my neck like a puzzle piece.

Baby sis scampered up his back and locked her arms around his neck before he could finish me off. "Get off my brother!" she hissed sinking her teeth in his neck probably shoving as much venom in him as she could before he unlocked us to throw his head back and howl.

Jazz dragged me to safety anxiously watching Allie get thrown off again, but she landed on her feet this time.

"God I thought you were done for…" Rose breathed helping me up. "You okay?"

I surveyed myself. The shit hurt and it took a lot to hurt me, but my stone flesh was already fixing itself. "Shit, this was my favorite shirt!"

Rose just rolled her eyes. "That's why you don't wear your favorite shirt to battle." Allie scolded with narrow eyes. She looked back at the wolf recovering just as quickly as last time. "I bought you that, he's going to pay for that."

"Thanks for the save." I breathed to the both of them.

Allie frowned, "You owe me, that taste horrible."

"I have an idea," Rose breathed ducking under a swipe kicking the thing in the ribs.

Jazz gave him a blow to the back, not that either hit affected him. "We're open to suggestions…"

"That's perfect." Allie nodded excited, rolling away from it.

Rose smirked, "I thought so."

"Don't do this shit now!" I demanded getting the sleeve of my shirt slashed as punishment for delivering a body blow of my own. Alice and Ed had always been the worse, answering each other's sentences and having conversations assuming we would all just catch on. It only got worse with Asima and Jabril in the mix. "I'm getting sliced up over here!" Shit was annoying.

"Monkey in the middle," She grunted.

That confused me, "The game?"

"Yeah, and we're gonna hit em hard and fast." Rose explained without explaining anything.

Jasper didn't get it either, "I don't understand…"

"Em take front, Jazz take back." Alice grunted impatiently trying to keep her footing. The little white blur whizzing around like a pinball.

Rose was just as short tempered, "Just stand where you are get us in the air and we'll do the rest."

So Jazz and I faced opposite each other and backed a safe distance away waiting for whatever they were planning. Jazz watched anxiously and our girls danced around the werewolf, snipping body shots trying to lure it into the right position.

Alice waited until it focused on Rose, and its back was turned to her before she ran over to Jazz, "Need a boost babe." Jazz boosted her, sending her over the werewolf's head and back onto my side. "Em push me back!"

Without question I grabbed her foot letting her use me as momentum to bounce back the other way and I used a little arm strength to send her higher. Her tiny body flipped over its head and his head followed, the tricky part came in after that. Because not even a second after Alice's foot left my hand Rose used it to boost herself over its head too.

But the ting was too occupied watching Allie roll between its legs in the opposite direction for the hundredth time giving Rose easy access to its neck. She wrapped her legs around its neck squeezing them as hard as she could, jerking them to the right making it snap, and bringing it down to the ground. "Get the head now!"

Jazz and Allie kicked into action with Rose holding it down long enough for me to grab a hold and pull as hard as I could. They didn't let go until it was completely separated from the body. Rose stomped her foot into its chest crushing his ribs into its heart. "Just to be on the safe side."

"Everyone okay?" Jazz breathed hard, looking Allie all over. We all nodded. "Well they're plenty more so look sharp."

With our 'Monkey in the middle' system working for us, we shot off in the direction of another werewolf.

My eyes surveyed Rose as she ran. She was dirty as hell, but she seemed okay, not a scratch on her. If I did everything right, she's come out of this the exact same way. No separated arms or legs. Definitely not the legs… my girl had awesome legs.

I couldn't help but get distracted for a second, watching her run across the field in shorts way too short for battle. I tried to focus back up when she caught me staring.

"Is there a problem Cullen?" She hissed in a smirk, as Allie boosted off of Jazz, and back in my direction.

I shook my head, shooting her back in the same direction as I explained myself, "I'm married to the hottest vampire in existence."

She gave that sexy smirk again planting her foot in my hand to push off. "And don't forget it…
