Chapter 23 - Confrontaition

I do not own Naruto or any Original Characters

The four of them sat at a small table inside a small breakfast nook. Sasuke sat next to her on the end, she'd have to get across him to leave if he refused to move, while the other two men sat across from her. She was just finishing her tea when the main snake began to speak.

"So, Kage, correct?" Oorochimaru smiled. "What brings you here in this small little village?"

Taking the light conversation cautiously, she smiled softly. "Well I'm just on my way to the Hidden Sound village. This was just on the way so I figured I would stop to rest."

"Oh?" His smile grew even wider. Kabuto had told him about the Akatsuki symbol on her clothing as well as her impressive healing abilities. "We just so happened to be on our way out there as well."

His tone made her stomach churn. Kami how much she hated this guy. They had been sitting in absolute silence for at least thirty minutes- maybe an hour and a half at most and the entire time instead of conversing that damned snake just stared at her. The Akatsuki girl had to force herself not to gag or throw up her food and drink when he licked his pale, thin lips every now and again. "That's a coincidence." She forced a smile.

"We should travel together." Kabuto suggested a bit too eagerly.

Kage faked a sad smile and put on her best 'sorry' expression.
"I have to leave soon actually, right after this, I'm sorry." She then took the entire contents of the cup and chugged it silently. There was no way she was staying here any longer.

Oorochimaru frowned for a second, but then flipped it back into his creepy smile soon enough. "Oh it's fine. It was nice talking to you though."

"You as well." The blonde stood and looked to the Uchiha sitting in her way. Her smoky gray and blue eyes motioned for him to move, and soon enough he took the hint. He stood as well and moved from her path, just enough where she would have to squeeze by. She pushed her body between his and placed her hand on the very edge of his neck as if using him for support.

'We can talk later, since we will be seeing again. After you apologize I will gladly tell you some of the information I have.' Her words quickly whispered through his mind within the seconds they had contact. Her hand fell from him and she turned slightly. "It was nice meeting you all. Be safe on your travels."

"You as well." The sun-lacked snake mocked.

He waited for the woman to leave before allowing a slight chuckle to escape from his thin, cracked lips. Kabuto smiled as well and they both states at the door that the girl had just left from.

"We will follow her." Oorochimaru said matter-of-factly. "She's a very, intriguing, girl after all. So young and yet so talented." His voice then held much more darkness to it. "She would make a fine specimen, or anything at that matter. We should persuade her to leave that childish organization and join us. She could even help me reach my goal a bit quicker, maybe even teach you medical ninjutsu Kabuto. She would be a wonderful fit. Don't you think Sasuke?"

The ebony haired teen simply ignored his words. Like she would ever join their side. She hated Oorochimaru, and if he didn't feel that hatred leaking out of every sugar-coated word Kage had said, he really was an imbecile. "I could care less."

His muscular arms crossed one another and he walked out as well.

Knowing Oorochimaru was returning to the Sound village made her angry. Did Pein know about this? No, he couldn't have considering how much the snake moved around so quietly. At least the deal would be over quickly. In and out. She was hoping he wouldn't be there and that she could just drop the delivery off to the next-in-command.

Her luck had been getting really bad lately. She still hasn't had the chance to touch Oorochimaru but when she made contact with Sasuke she was able to extract information leading back from the lat time thy encountered.
According to the Uchiha avenger Sasuke was aware that the albino man was planning on stealing his body. What that reptiled-eyed bastard didn't know was that the charcoal-eyed Uchiha heir was planning on killing him soon.

The one thing that really bothered her was his most recent thoughts and memories. He wanted to ask her tons of questions; questions she would need to prepare for cautiously. She could see his future, sure, but she can't see her own.
If he was doubling as a spy and it involved her fate then she wouldn't be able to foresee it. Her family blessing sure did seem like a curse sometimes.

The priestess would just have to be on guard and as prepared as she possibly could.

Kage straightened out her clothes and began walking from the village and due North. Sound wasn't really that far from here, and since it was only about six o'clock she should arrive at around three at a full sprint. There was the lurking danger that she would be followed or watched, so it would be safer to travel by for than expose her abilities to any unwanted ninja.

Just in case though, for extra measures, she began making hand signals after she was positive she wasn't being watched.

A perfect disguise so she wouldn't be suspected as an Akatsuki member.

Dark brown hair that flowed luxuriously down to her hips that complemented her fake-pale skin. Her eyes were now the color of sapphires; looking into them would cause the person to lose themselves in the vast depth of the beautiful orbs. The henge was complete with a change of clothes; a dark blue dress that was tight around her curves and hips. The dress ended mid-thigh and had slits on either side that reached the end of her hips. A lighter blue and black lace design was sewn into the dress, which matched the black, spandex shorts she wore under it. Tall sandals adorned her feet to tie everything together.

This was a character she had just randomly come up with one day. Tiaru Lamana

Perfect!

Now all she had to do was make it to the Sound village.
