Chapter 29 - Sasuke Uchiha
Sasuke's eyes were trained on the blonde but were empty. He didn't see her, but instead a large black and blue body. He wasn't underground with the girl anymore. The room was bright.
"Uchiha Sasuke." A deep voice caught his attention. His features tightened in confusion when he looked into a pair of eyes; one a bright blue and the other light gray. The Two-Tails!
"Two-Tails?" He jumped back, expecting distance between himself and the beast, but instead met a hard and warm chest. He turned and surprise took over him. Three people were here too, including that man from the other day.
"You have it all wrong Uchiha." The Two-Tailed Chakra Child glared at him. "My name is Tamiko, and I am a Chakra Child of the original Two-Tails, Matatabi.
Sasuke jumped away from the people and reached for his sword.
"Don't even think about it." A young pinkette, not even looking fifteen, stopped him.
The man watched his movements. "You won't be able to kill even one of us, let alone three."
"You." Sasuke stared at Storm with a hard expression.
"You hold promise." The larger male spoke sadly. "It's a good thing I didn't kill you."
That made the smaller teen 'Tch' and his body flex.
"We are not here to argue." Tamiko spoke, making Storm look to him and nod. "Uchiha Sasuke, I wish to ask you for an important favor. That is why I called you here."
"What is it?" He grumbled after a long silence. The avenger straightened his body and allowed his arms to cross.
The Chakra Child's two tails lashed from side to side. "I've felt a horrible event soon in the future. I ask of you to watch over Kage." Sasuke opened his mouth to protest, only to be silenced by the louder voice. "I've been sealed and unable to speak to her since the Akatsuki had captured her."
"Why not let one of them relay the message then?" He grumbled.
Tamiko chuckled and watched the annoyed confusion cross the Uchiha's face when he did. "The message itself will do nothing but make her paranoid, Uchiha Sasuke. Paranoia is a real bother, and she has had and does have enough of it. The girl would become consumed with worry, but not for herself. Kage would be worried over her friends, and stress herself out." The large blue chakra beast made eye-level with him. "You will protect her and in return I will give you a bit of my power."
"I don't need anything from you."
"Ah, but your chakra level says otherwise." The feline's breath was hot on Sasuke's body. "I can easily give you five minutes worth of more chakra."
He 'Tch'ed and turned to face away from the beast. "I already said I don't need anything from you." Before he could think of a way to get away from the freaks, a large claw was sticking through his body. He gasped for the pain that never came and turned to look over his shoulder.
"Kage may forgive you, but I will not so easily. I have offered you something in return, being kind, though it seems you're pride is terribly high." Tamiko's humongous head loomed over Sasuke's side now, and his eyes were filled with death. "I will continue to be pleasant, and only force you into protecting her three times, for causing that nasty wound those few days ago." His claw was painlessly and slowly removed from the Uchiha. "Storm."
The man nodded and began walking to the Uchiha silently with an open palm. Sasuke tried to move, though was paralyzed. "What are you doing?!" He demanded.
"Storm will be placing his own chakra into your heart." Tamiko explained as the man placed his palm on Sasuke's chest. "The chakra will react to Kage's emotional levels, and overwhelm you to help her. In that time your chakra reserves will be increased."
Sasuke screamed at the burning in his chest. Storm moved and allowed the Uchiha to drop to his knees.
"Uchiha Sasuke." The Chakra Child mumbled. "You should learn when to be more respectful."
His vision darkened then, and soon the colorful blurs joined the blackness.
"Sasuke?!" He heard. His vision was fuzzy. The Uchiha's mind was racing, and soon two blue-gray orbs registered. "Are you okay?!"
He was laying in the floor with his head softly caressed in Kage's arms. She was worried for him of course.
Sasuke lifted his hand to his head and stared at it. So much was processing through his mind at this point. Was that all just a dream?
It had to be.
"I'm fine, just tired." He lifted himself up and stood slowly. "How long have I been out?"
Kage stood; their chamber rising as she did. "About thirty minutes. I'm happy you're okay, any longer and Hidan would have come looking for me."
"Damnit." He cursed himself. He didn't get any good answers from her.
"Make sure to rest." Kage turned and began walking after the chamber had disappeared. "It's not good for your body to be constantly working. Bye Sasuke." She waved and ran off.
The Uchiha stood there pondering. Why would he dream about something like that? Maybe seeing her caused him to see that Storm guy.
But then again, who were those women?
His coal eyes scrunched and his thin eyebrows knitted. Tamiko. That was the two-tails' name. Maybe it was just part of his imagination. Sasuke turned around and gazed down the path the blonde had ran off to. He had a weird impulse to follow her. To watch her.
To protect her.
He 'Tch'ed and turned again. He couldn't let his imagination get the better of him.
After a few steps he spun on his heel and fought with himself mentally. "Maybe this feeling will go away if I just prove nothing will happen."
The Uchiha Avenger followed the Diamond-user at a slow pace.
He'd have to keep his distance with that Psychopathic Jashinist around. This was all just to verify the false feeling.
It was only a dream after all.
