Necklace

Natsu threw a punch at Gray and sent him flying right into Lucy. They crashed to the ground and Lucy groaned. Gray was laying on top of her unconscious. She tried to move, but he was too heavy. Lucy glared at Natsu.

"Get him off."

"Sorry Lucy." Natsu kicked Gray and Lucy stood up. She dusted herself off and started walking back home. She heard Gray yell something as he got up. The two boys started arguing again and she could hear punches being thrown. Lucy sighed and unlocked her down. It had been a difficult day. Nothing went right and the boys had given her the worst headache. Lucy shut her door and walked into her bedroom where she jumped down onto her bed. She closed her eyes and smiled.

'I may have had the worst day, but Erza is coming back today.' Lucy lifted a hand up to touch her necklace. She sat upright quickly as she realized it was gone. 'Where is it!?' Lucy got up and checked her dresser. It wasn't there. She ran around her room to search every area. A thought struck her as she checked under the bed. 'I never take it off...I bet I lost it when Natsu threw Gray on me.' She ran out of her room and headed towards the street where the boys were fighting. She saw Natsu standing there rubbing his head. He smiled when he saw her.

"Hey Lucy."

"Natsu have you seen my necklace?"

"No."

"I can't find it anywhere!" Lucy looked on the ground to see if she could find it. Natsu stared at her.

"Why is it so important?"

"Erza gave it to me on our one month anniversary." Lucy fell to her knees and put a hand to her head. "I can't believe I lost it."

"Let me go tell Lisanna that I'll be late tonight and then I'll come and help you search."

"Really?"

"Yeah. I mean it was my fault you lost it right?"

"Thank you Natsu."

"No problem. I'll be back soon." Natsu ran off leaving Lucy to search the ground. He didn't stop running until he ran right into someone's back. He rubbed his face and looked up at the person. He quickly stepped away. "Sorry Erza!"

"Hello Natsu." Erza smiled and completely ignored the collision.

"Hi...I uh need to find Lisanna real quick." Natsu ran off and found Lisanna talking to Mira. He told her he would be a little late for their date, and started to run out of the guild when Erza stopped him.

"What's wrong?"

"I need to help Lucy with something."

"Really and it's more important than your first date?"

"It is to her. Sorry but I'm in a hurry."

"Natsu. What does she need help with?"

"Well...I kind of threw Gray at her and she lost her necklace. I said I would help her find it since it's so important to her."

"I'll go help her. Get to your date." Erza pushed Natsu towards Lisanna and left to find Lucy. She walked down the streets and then found the blonde sitting against a building with her head on her knees. Erza sat down in front of her and placed a hand on her head. "Hey Luce."

"Erza...?" Lucy looked up and threw her arms around the knight. She pressed her face into the crook of Erza's neck.

"Natsu told me what happened. I said I would help you."

"Sorry." Lucy mumbled.

"It's not your fault and it is just a necklace you know."

Lucy lifted her head. "No it means more than anything to me. I have to find it."

Erza smiled and stood up with the blonde. "Let's find it then." Both girls started searching for the lost necklace. It soon got dark and Lucy leaned her head on a nearby building. She took a deep breath and ignored the hand on her shoulder. The moonlight shone down on them and made Lucy's tears shine in the darkness. Erza wrapped her in a hug and kissed her cheek. She was about to say something when something glittering caught her eye. She released Lucy and bent down to pick it up. Erza smiled and put it in Lucy's hand. The blonde jumped at Erza and hugged her tightly.

"Thank you."

Erza took the necklace and put it on Lucy. The blonde wrapped her hand around it and smiled.

"I love you Erza."

"I love you too Lucy." Erza said as she lifted the other girl's face to kiss her. Lucy put her arms around Erza's neck and kissed her back. Erza pulled away as she thought of something. "Say Lucy? You said that necklace meant more than anything to you...does that include me?"

"What how could you even think that? You know you're better than a necklace." Lucy smiled. Erza smiled back. At least she made her girlfriend happy.
