Umbrella
"I hate these rainy days." Lucy mumbled as she laid her head on the counter while talking to Mira. When she had first walked to the guild it was a nice sunny day. When it started to rain her mood got worse. Lucy was not a fan of rainy days. It was all Juvia's fault that Lucy hated rain. The rain woman really got to Lucy.
"It's not so bad Lucy. Rain helps flowers grow and you love flowers."
"What a nice way to put it Mira, but I really don't want to step foot out there. I'll get soaked."
"Maybe you can borrow one from somebody?"
"I'll just wait until it eases up." Lucy closed her eyes and started to fall asleep. Mira shrugged and went about her duties. Night had fallen and there were some drunks passed out on the floor. Cana included. Lucy started snoring lightly and Mira giggled. She thought Lucy was being adorable.
'I don't want to wake her.' Mira thought as she looked outside to see the rain letting up. She sighed and woke the girl up.
"Lucy. The rain let up a little."
Lucy opened her eyes and yawned. "Thanks Mira."
"Be careful."
"I will." Lucy hopped out of her seat and ran out of the guild and into the rain. She could feel the rain as it picked up again. "This sucks." Lucy ran down the streets and quickly turned a corner and collided right into Erza. The knight mage caught Lucy before her face could smash into her armor.
"Hey Lucy."
"Sorry Erza. I'll be more careful next time!" Lucy waited for some kind of lecture, but got nothing. They stood there in silence for a few minutes until Erza realized she was still holding Lucy.
"S-sorry..." She let go of the smaller girl and turned her head to the side.
"It's fine." Lucy said as she noticed the small blush on Erza's cheeks. "I guess I should get going...you know before the rain gets worse." She rubbed the back of her neck nervously.
Erza quickly came up with an idea. "I can walk you home since I have an umbrella."
"You live farther away though."
"I was out just to walk around. Really it's no problem." Erza said with a confident smile. Lucy sighed.
"Okay if that's what you want."
Erza mentally thanked Mira for her advice. She would let Lucy know how she felt today. Lucy noticed that Erza was spacing out a lot and grinned.
"What's the matter? Got a guy on your mind?" She teased. Erza blushed.
"N-no! Not a guy..."
"Huh? So you are thinking of someone just not a guy? Hmm...is it Mira?"
"No..."
"I know Cana!"
"No."
"Well I don't know who else you would really like that's not a guy..." Lucy tilted her head as she tried to think. Erza grew impatient and looked at the ground.
"It's.."
Lucy leaned in closer to hear Erza's quiet confession. "What?"
Erza lifted her head and dropped the umbrella. She grabbed Lucy and kissed her lips. Lucy was shocked by the knight's actions. When Erza pulled away her face was bright red. Lucy smiled.
"So that's it huh?"
"Sorry...I really like y..." Erza was silenced by Lucy's warm lips. She closed her eyes and held the girl closer to her as they kissed. Lucy pulled away and looked into Erza's eyes.
"I like you too Erza. Would you like to come over for hot chocolate?"
"I'd love too." Erza smiled and picked up the umbrella. She held it over their heads as they walked hand in hand towards their new future.
