Ojamajo: The Verz Incident Redux

A redo of one of my earlier fics. Jou-sama has come down with an unknown malady and the only cure may lie in a children's card game. Will the efforts of the Ojamajos be enough or will the infection spread to and corrupt all worlds? Rate T for language, violence, and somewhat graphic depictions. Reviews are appreciated. 25. Final Battle - Disigma Sieben,

Things were already bad for Doremi and Hana. Not only were they stuck having to face down Majo Kai no Jou-sama when she's in her Super Witch Form, but they also had to face her in a Handicap Duel. Their Life Points had been severely cut and used to boost hers up to a massive level. At the same time, the means with which she used to force the Handicap also drove the off course; by the time they made it back to Jou-sama, she was poised to take the first move.

Also, they were flying in the skies above Kage Kai Castle. And to make things worse, the energy emanating from Jou-sama was making the area very…well, much more treacherous than usual. All in all, it was a combination that would push Doremi and Hana to their very limits.

"I will start," Jou-sama said, "Watashi no Turn! Draw!" She took her first card right as the two Ojamajos caught up with her. "First, I will summon Rescue Rabbit!" At once, a small rabbit wearing safety gear appeared (300/100). Unlike all others that had appeared, this one also sported black tentacles not unlike those the Jou-sama had since grown. "And now I activates its ability: By banishing it, I can special summon two Lv4 Normal Monsters from my deck! …so long as they have the same name."

Immediately, Rescue Rabbit tore open a portal to another dimension. It hopped through, and seconds later forced two corrupted Gem-Knights (1950/650) through. They clanged their blades against one another, but the Rabbit didn't return before the portal closed.

"Awareru, Verz Heliolope!" Jou-sama announced.

"Here it comes, Hana-chan!" Doremi warned. Hana gulped in response.

"I overlay both Heliolopes to build the Overlay Network! Xyz summon!" Jou-sama declared. As she said these words, both corrupted Gem-Knights transformed into orbs of crackling dark energy and spiraled upward and into a galaxy-like vortex. It burst with a rainbow explosion, much to Doremi's and Hana's confusion. Emerging from it was not the dragon the two Ojamajos were expecting but a golden larva with a key at the end, itself curled into a shape resembling a question mark. It split open, extending wings and growing from larva to adult (2500/800). "Awareru…Number 66: Supreme Key Beetle – Master Key Beetle!"

On the balcony below, the group looked up in surprise.

"I…I don't understand," Majorin spoke up, "Why didn't Jou-sama go for one of the Verz Dragons?"

"I don't know," Aiko replied, "For all we know, she's just toying with them…"

"Onee-chan…Hana-chan…" Pop muttered, gravely.

Back at the duel, Doremi was looking on at the Number with worry. She knew her deck had an easy means of getting rid of it, but she hadn't seen the card in action quite yet. As such, she would have to wait and see what it could do.

"I set one card," Jou-sama said. A reversed card appeared behind the Key Beetle. "Next, I activate Master Key Beetle's ability! By detaching one Overlay Unit, I can target one other card I control!" One of the purple lights orbiting the golden Beetle was absorbed into the tip of its key-like horn. Then, chains wrapped around the reversed card. "Turn end!"

Doremi's worry turned to confusion. From her point of view, Jou-sama had just locked down her own card for no reason.

"Atashi…no Turn? Draw!" Doremi said, still weirded out by Jou-sama's move. She looked at her hand and her new card. "I activate the spell Cyclone! With it, I can destroy any spell or trap you control!" At once, a twister kicked up and arced across the air. It hit the concealed card dead center. But when the dust cleared…he card was still there, completely unfazed. "E-eh?!"

"Any card Master Key Beetle targets with its ability cannot be destroyed by card effects," Jou-sama explained, "And if Key Beetle were to be destroyed himself, I can just send one of the protected cards to the graveyard instead!"

Doremi grit her teeth. Okay, so I can't get rid of that card by destroying it, she thought, But…Maybe if I-! She nodded to herself. "Yosha! I activate Reinforcement! With this, I can add any Lv4 or below Warrior-type monster to my hand!" She took a card from her deck and placed it among the cards she held. "And I think I'll use it! Appear now, Goblindbergh!"

And just like that, three planes piloted by goblins flew in (1400/0). All three were carrying a massive steel crate using chains. Since there was no ground for them to set it on, the three planes jerked up and put some more distance between themselves, opening the crate and revealing a juvenile Magician that Doremi usually summoned (1500/1000).

"And I think you know what's next, Jou-sama!" Doremi continued. Both of her monsters turned into orbs of energy and spiraled upward. "With these two Lv4 monsters, I build the Overlay Network!" both monsters entered a red vortex. It burst with a similarly colored radiance and was followed by a being who wouldn't have looked out of place in the wild west (1500/2400). He drew two guns and readied one on Jou-sama and the other on Key Beetle. "Awareru, Gagaga Gunman!"

"Alright!" Aiko shouted, "Now that Doremi-chan has that out, there's no way that Key Beetle will survive!"

"Doremi-chan! Fight!" Momoko called.

"Demo ne…" Hazuki peeped, "Why do I have a bad feeling?"

"I activate Gunman's ability!" Doremi announced, "By detaching one Overlay, I can apply a specific effect depending on what his position is!" At once, one of the orange lights orbiting the bounty hunter flew into his right gun. "Now Gunman! Attack Key Beetle!"

Gunman wasted no time in refining his aim and making sure his target was hit.

"Reverse card, open! Safety Zone hatsudou shimasu!" Jou-sama called.

Immediately, the chained card revealed itself followed by the Number taking a slight refuge beneath Gunman. Caught off guard, he fired one of his guns and struck it in the wing, knocking Key Beetle off balance (2500-2000/800). Gunman quickly took advantage of the golden Beetle's predicament (1500-2500/2400) and continued his attack. But his ai was off due to the close quarters and the Beetle survived. The bullet ricocheted and struck a barrier surrounding Jou-sama, knocking her down to 23500 Life Points.

"While Safety Zone is active, you cannot destroy Master Key Beetle by battle or by card effects," Jou-sama explained, "You also cannot target it with card effects either. Fortunately for you, a monster targeted by this card cannot attack directly."

On the balcony, the group had overheard everything.

"So if used on an opponent's monster," Hazuki began, "It can stop them from attacking you directly?"

"Not quite," Onpu replied.

"Eh?"

"Safety Zone only direct attacks against the card's controller's opponent," Majorin explained, "If you use it on an opponent's monster, you're only making it nearly invincible."

Hazuki gulped in shock.

As for the duel, things weren't any better than they had been.

"I set one card," Doremi said. A reversed card appeared behind Gunman. "Turn end."

Hana shot a worried look at Doremi. "Hana-chan knows that will stop whatever Jou-sama's planning!"

"I hope so," Doremi replied.

"Watashi no Turn! Draw!" Jou-sama declared. Her next card incited a raised eyebrow from her. "First, I summon Verz Castor!" At once, the corrupted brother of Sacred Pollux appeared (1750/550). He brandished his blade and pointed it at Hana. "And since I normal summoned it, Castor allows me to summon another Verz. So arise, Verz Thunderbird!"

Moments later, Castor shot forth a decidedly corrupted beacon comparable to his brother's. A massive and similarly corrupted bird took notice and descended (1650/1050). It screeched violently, though it was less like a screech from such a bird and more like an enraged person.

"I overlay Castor and Thunderbird to build the Overlay Network!" Jou-sama announced. In seconds, both Verz monsters transformed into orbs of crackling corrupted energy and spiraled upward. A dark vortex opened up, accepting both monsters as they entered and bursting with a repulsive blackness. "Living Spear of the Barrier! Bring yourself to life through ice and accept the power of the Verz! Xyz summon!" At once, a massive block of what seemed to be ice dripping with putrid blackness burst forth from the vortex. A pair of red eyes glowed from within as the ice ruptured and cracked, culminating in the entire thing bursting apart. The now-unleashed gave a roar not unlike a monster from beyond (2350/1350). "Break free from the Ice Barrier, Verz Bahamut!"

Doremi and Hana looked at the dragon; the former with concern and the latter with fear. "So…she's finally decided to summon one of them…" the pink Ojamajo muttered, "We have to brace ourselves."

Hana kept her distance from Jou-sama's area. "Hana-chan is scared, Mama," she said, fearfully, "Hana-chan hopes it doesn't do any damage!"

"Don't worry, Hana-chan! I'll make sure it doesn't!"

"I'm afraid you cannot actually keep your vow, Doremi-chan," Jou-sama replied, "I activate Bahamut's effect! By detaching one Overlay Unit, I can discard one Verz monster and take control over any face-up monster you control!" And with those words, one of the crackling black lights orbiting the dragon vanished into the orb on its chest. "Your Gunman is mine!"

"Reverse card, open!" Doremi shouted, "Threatening Roar hatsudou!"

Just before Bahamut could gather a sacrifice from Jou-sama, Gunman let out a massive battle cry. The sound was somehow effective, taking the nerve out of the dragon as well as the Number that flew by its side.

"Threatening Roar prevents all monsters you control from attacking this turn," Doremi explained. She then turned to Hana and gave a reassuring smile. "I told you I would let Bahamut get any damage off."

Regardless, the dragon took the sacrifice Jou-sama gave it and gathered its energy. With an unnatural growl, it let it all loose, striking Gagaga Gunman. Moments later, he took on a more corrupted appearance -including a few small tentacles- and made his way over to Jou-sama's side.

"Unfortunately for you, I was able to get your monster," Jou-sama retorted, "I set one card." Another reversed card appeared, this time behind Gunman. "Turn end!"

Doremi looked over at Hana. "We're stuck using Tag-Team rules," she warned, "I can't take the turn!"

"You don't have to, Mama!" Hana called, "Atashi no turn! Draw!" The white Ojamajo took her next card with determination. She smiled at what she drew. "First, Hana-chan summons Sacred Leonis!" At once, a beast-like knight of the stars descended (1000/1800). He extended his energy claws and prepared to fight. "And once per turn, Leonis-kun can let Hana-chan normal summon another Sacred monster! So descend, Sacred Sheratan!"

Leonis conjured a brilliant beacon. Answering it was another beast-like knight of the stars (700/1900).

"Sheratan-san no kouka hatsudou! When normal summoned, he can let Hana-chan add any Sacred to her hand!" Sheratan extended another beacon into the sky. A form could be discerned, but it was unclear who it was. "Next, Hana-chan activates Star Sign of the Sacred!"

And just like that, a brilliantly glowing insignia appeared over the white Ojamajo. Then, both Sacred knights transformed into orbs of golden energy and spiraled upward.

"And with these two Lv3 LIGHT monsters, Hana-chan builds the Overlay Network!" Hana shouted. Both monsters entered a golden and silvery vortex which burst with a heavenly radiance. Moments later, a minotaur-like knight of the stars emerged (1900/1100). "Awareru, Sacred Hyades!"

Then and there, the Sacred symbol glowed even brighter.

"And since Hana-chan summoned a Sacred Xyz monster to her field, she can draw a card!" The top of her deck glowed with the same lights as the insignia. She took the top card and added it to her hand. "And now Hana-chan activates Hyades-san's ability! By detaching one overlay, Hyades-san can force all of your monsters to face-up Defense Position!"

At once, one of the golden lights orbiting the knight vanished into his blade. Then, he held it up, shining a brilliant light upon all monsters Jou-sama controlled. They recoiled from it and were forced to defend themselves; Gunman knelt on one knee, Key Beetle tucked itself in, and Bahamut coiled its long tail. Then, Hyades transformed into another orb of energy and spiraled upward.

"And now…Hana-chan overlays Hyades-san to build the Overlay Network!" Hyades entered another golden and silvery vortex, which burst in a brilliant flash. "Light of the stars, unite as one! Descend and be the guide of my path! Xyz summon!" What emerged was a majestic clockwork dragon formed by the fusion of all Sacred monsters (2700/2000). "Descend from the stars, Sacred Ptolemys Messier 7!"

"Yes!" Pop called from below, "With that card, Hana-chan won't lose easily!"

"You forget, Pop-chan," Onpu warned, "Hana-chan has been a bit reckless when she summoned that card." She shot a worried look at the white Ojamajo. "Every time I saw Hana-chan summon Messier 7 this way, she was never been able to use its ability before either the end of the game or getting destroyed in some way."

"So then-?" Hazuki peeped. Onpu nodded grimly. "Oh…"

Doremi looked at Hana's monster. She recalled how it didn't do anything in their last duel due to her being taken out of the game right after summoning it. She hadn't seen Hana duel very often, but she recalled just how powerful and dangerous she was, going by her near-loss a day ago…

"Are you ready, Messier 7-san?" Hana asked. Messier 7 turned to Hana and nodded. "Un! Messier 7-san! Take out Bahamut! Supreme Radiance of the Sacred!"

Doremi's eyes went wide. "Hana-chan! Wait!" she called, "Hana-chan!"

It was too late. Sacred Ptolemys Messier 7 was already beginning its attack. And within moments, it loosed its powerful attack upon the defending corrupted dragon.

"You need to pay better attention to your opponent's set cards, Hana-chan," Jou-sama warned, "Reverse card, open! Holy Barrier -Mirror Force- hatsudou shimasu!"

Hana gasped in horror as the card revealed itself. Moments later, a barrier appeared over Jou-sama's entire area, catching Messier 7's attack and reflecting it right back at him. He had only a moment to register shock when he was completely vaporized by his own attack.

"Messier 7-san…" Hana said sadly, "Gomennasai…Hana-chan should've been more careful!" She prepared to reach for her deck. "Hana-chan-…"

"Hana-chan!" Doremi called, "Messier 7 didn't go by himself! He drew out one of Jou-sama's trap cards! You can't let his sacrifice be in vain!" Hana turned back to her mother and saw she was shooting a deeply understanding look at her. "You have to keep fighting! For his sake!"

Hana looked over her hand hard. She wanted to believe Doremi, but that last move cost her some advantage. Finally, Jou-sama's field still stood strong, having a nigh-invulnerable Number, Doremi's stolen monster, and one of the Verz dragons.

"Hana-chan sets two cards!" Hana declared, finally. Two reversed cards appeared before her. "Turn end!"

Doremi looked over at Hana with relief. At least she set up a defense, she thought, We're gonna need it…

"Do you really believe you can defeat me?" Jou-sama inquired, "Watashi no Turn! Draw!" She took her next card and placed it among the cards in her hand. "I activate Gunman's ability! By detaching one Overlay Unit, I can apply an effect depending on his position. He is defending, so you take 800 damage!" The last light orbiting the bounty hunter vanished into his other gun. He took aim and pulled the trigger, sending a bullet right into Doremi's still-injured shoulder. Blood began leaking out as hers and Hana's Life Points fell to 7200. "To take damage from your own monster…tragic, isn't it?"

"Urusai yo!" Doremi shouted, not caring that it was Jou-sama she was addressing, "Can't you see what you're doing? You're acting just like Black Queen!"

"I exceed Black Queen in power and capability!" Jou-sama hissed, "When I end your resistance and bring you under my control where you should have been this whole time, I will personally end my Shadow!" Her dark aura flared up in response to her words. "In the meantime, I will switch all of my monsters back to Attack Position!"

At once, Gunman got up from kneeling and Bahamut and Key Beetle opened back up.

"Then, I summon Verz Kerykeion!" At once, another corrupted entity appeared. It seemed like Sombres in a way, but had three orbs not unlike those of the Verz dragons and its staff had the insignia of the Sacreds rather than the Verz. "I now activate Kerykeion's ability! By banishing any Verz from my graveyard, I can return another fallen one to my hand!" And just like that, Kerykeoin opened a portal to the netherworld and drew to orbs. It crushed one of them and used its remaining energy to restore the other as Jou-sama took its corresponding card and placed it in her hand. "And since I used that ablity, Kerykeion can bring another Verz to my field as an additional Normal Summon! So appear again, Verz Heliolope!"

Heliolope answered Kerykeion's signal and arrived on the spot. Then, both Verz monsters turned into corrupted energy and spiraled upward.

"I build the Overlay Network with these two monsters!" Jou-sama declared. Both Verz entered a vortex that boiled with the same putrid blackness as Bahamut's; a geyser burst forth once both monsters had vanished inside. Then, a block of ice dripping with that blackness rose from the foul quagmire. "Odin's Lance from the Ice Barrier! Revive yourself and absorb the power of the Verz! Xyz summon!" Jou-sama chanted. At once, cracks appeared in the block of ice just as a pair of menacing yellow eyes glowed from within. Moments later, the mighty dragon inside shattered its frigid prison. It roared in rage at those who would oppose it (2550/1650). "Break free from the Ice Barrier, Verz Ophion!"

And no sooner did it appear, a foul aura extended from it, going further thanks to an empowerment from the dual dark lights orbiting it. Doremi and Hana knew good and well that this was easily the most dangerous of the Verz dragons…primarily since it was the most frequently used out of all of them.

"The second dragon," Doremi muttered, "Ophion…"

"I see you recall this thing," Jou-sama remarked, "But can you stand before its might? I activate Ophion's ability! By detaching one Overlay Unit, I can add any Invasion spell or trap to my hand!" And just like that, one of the lights orbiting Ophion vanished into the orb on its chest. The foul aura it emanated began straining, but the energy gained from the sacrificed material granted Jou-sama a new card. "And now that that's settled…Bahamut! Ophion! Gunman! Attack them directly!"

Immediately, all three monsters prepared their attacks. Gunman took aim while Bahamut and Ophion charged their breath weapons. Then…they launched their attacks.

"If you're gonna do something, Hana-chan," Doremi began, "Now's the time to do it!"

"Un!" Hana replied, nodding, "Reverse card, open! Negate Attack hatsuodu!" A ripple appeared around the two girls just before the attacks could connect. When they hit that region, they vanished, with more ripples appearing around each impacted area. "See? Hana-chan wouldn't let you down, Mama!"

Doremi smiled. You really pulled through this time, Hana-chan, she thought, Arigatou.

"You have only delayed the inevitable," Jou-sama warned, "I set one card." A reversed card appeared behind Ophion. "Turn end."

Doremi eyed the reversed card carefully. She had seen the Ophion play more times than she could count. Even if she did remain a complete novice, the move was common enough among Verz players to recognize.

She had a very good idea as to what it was.

"Atashi no turn! Draw!" Doremi shouted. She took her card and gave it a look, her eyes going wide when she saw it. "I activate Protective Seal Swords of Light!" she declared. In seconds, numerous swords made of pure light rained down, ceasing when they were around and between each of Jou-sama's monsters. Ophion and Bahamut roared in frustration. "Next, I set one card." A reversed card appeared before Doremi. "Turn end."

Jou-sama snickered. "You do realize your Protective Swords are just a weak and temporary shield, do you not?" she inquired. She stared a bit at the other card Doremi had hid. "Watashi no Turn! Draw!" Her new card only prompted a neutral look. "I set two cards," she said. Two more concealed cards appeared behind her line of monsters. "Turn end."

Hana reluctantly turned toward Doremi; more specifically, at the now-damaged dark aura bandage. "Mama?" she began, "Are you sure you're gonna be okay?"

Doremi tuned to her daughter in response. "Yeah," she replied, smiling, "Don't worry about me, Hana-chan. Jou-sama is more important right now."

Hana nodded. Just then a freak wind from off of Jou-sama's own corrupted aura caught both girls off-guard. Turning back to their opponent, they noticed that the corrupted Queen had grown impatient.

"Must I remind you of your game?" Jou-sama inquired, angrily. She then flew up higher, forcing the two Ojamajos and their monsters to follow. Bahamut, Ophion, Key Beetle, and Gunman kept up with their mistress effortlessly. "Let's make this more…interesting!"

Hana looked up at Jou-sama. "Bring it on! Atashi no Turn! Draw!" The white Ojamajo took her next card and smiled. "Hana-chan summons Sacred Gredi!" At once, a knight of the stars wielding a staff descended from the heavens (1600/1400). "Gredi-chan no kouka hatsudou! When summoned, Gredi-chan can special summon any Lv4 monster from Hana-chan's hand! Descend, Sacred Kaust!"

Gredi raised her staff and conjured another beacon. A beast-like knight of the stars wielding a bow and arrow answered and descended (1800/700).

"Hana-chan activates Kasut-kun's ability!" Hana declared, "Twice per turn, Kaust-kun can raise or drop a Sacred's level by one! And Hana-chan wants Gredi-chan and Kaust-kun to be Lv5!" Kaust glowed brightly, first to empower his ally and then himself. Then, both Sacreds transformed into orbs of golden energy and spiraled upward. "And with these two Lv5 LIGHT monsters, Hana-chan builds the Overlay Network!"

Both Sacred entered a brilliant golden and silvery vortex. It burst with a heavenly light just after the two of them vanished inside. Moments later, the great knight of the stars emerged, crescent blades drawn (2500/1500).

"Descend from the heavens, Sacred Pleiades!" Hana shouted. She then eyed Jou-sama's Safety Zone card. "Hana-chan thinks she know how to get rid of your Key Beetle!"

"Oh, really?" Jou-sama inquired, "You cannot destroy either of them!"

Hana shook her head. "Hana-chan doesn't need to. Pleiades-san's ability lets him return any card on the field to the hand!" The white Ojamajo gave an uncharacteristic devilish smile, unnerving Doremi. "And guess what happens when Safety Zone leave the field? Go! Pleiades-san!"

Pleiades had one of the golden lights orbiting him vanish into his blade. He then sent a crescent-shaped wave of energy at the open trap card. It vanished in a flash of light and reappeared in Jou-sama's hand. Moments later, the area Master Key Beetle was using to hide and make itself invulnerable destabilized, crushing the Number.

"Alright!" Aiko shouted, "Hana-chan got rid of the lock!"

"Yeah…" Onpu replied, "Demo ne…she still has to get past those Verz dragons."

"And with those stats," Momoko added, "Hana-chan might just do it!"

"Now then," Hana continued, "Pleiades-san! Attack Gagaga Gunman and bring him back to his senses!"

Pleiades looked over at the corrupted Gunman with pity. He knew he had to fight him, even though he knew he was Doremi's monster. Indeed, the only consolation he could get was freeing him from the Verz's control. To that end, he rushed forward, bringing the full might of his blades down. Gunman retaliated by shooting him, but the bullets harmlessly bounced off his armor.

His blades sliced the gunner down the middle, killing him. At the same time, the energy from the attack drove right into Jou-sama, striking her and reducing her to 22500 Life Points. The impact knocked her off balance and nearly sent her to the ground below. She recovered quickly and returned to the duel.

"Not bad, Hana-chan," Jou-sama remarked, "You actually got rid of a dangerous lock." Her expression soured. "Reverse card, open! Polar Star Treasure Lævateinn hatsudou!" Seconds after the card revealed itself, a lance shot forth, impaling Pleiades and taking him down. "I can use this card when you destroy one of my monsters by battle. It destroys the monster that destroyed mine, and there is nothing you can do to stop it!"

Hana stared at Jou-sama in despair. Her one big comeback…gone. No matter what she did, Jou-sama always seemed one step ahead. It was as though she had seen the future and strengthened her Resonance to the point where she could rig her own draws accordingly.

"Usou…" Hana muttered, "Hana-chan sets one card." A reversed card appeared before her. "And…and…"

"Hana-chan!" Doremi called, "Use my face-down card!"

"Eh?" Hana looked at her mother's cards. "Hana-chan hopes this works." She revealed the card, activating it. "Hana-chan activates…Hand Obliteration!" Jou-sama winced as she was forced to lose her Safety Zone as well as another card. Hana looked at both cards in her hand with sadness. Gomennasai…Shadow Hana-chan…

Hana discarded her two cards and quickly drew two new ones while Jou-sama drew two of her own. She looked at both of them and got a look of hope.

"Hana-chan sets one more card!" she declared. Another reversed card appeared before her. "Turn end!"

"I will see to it you fall first," Jou-sama declared, "Watashi no Turn! Draw!" She took her card and smirked. "I activate the spell Ancient Leaf! When my Life Points are 9000 or higher, I can pay 2000 to draw tow more cards!" At once, a leaf that looked a bit like the wings of Ancient Fairy Dragon appeared. It took some energy from Jou-sama, reducing her to 20500 Life Points. Then, she took the now-glowing top two cards from her deck. "Yes!"

Gulping, Doremi and Hana shot exchanged looks of worry.

"I activate Reinforcement!" Jou-sama declared, "And I will use it to add another Castor to my hand!" She inserted the spell into her graveyard and then took the target. Moments later, she brought it to the field; the corrupted knight of the starts brandished his blade. "And don't forget Castor's ability…"

Castor conjured a beacon of corrupted darkness, bringing another being down to his side.

"Awareru…Kerykeion!"

Just one more Lv4 monster… Doremi thought, And with that setup, she can actually pull it off!

"Now I activate Ophion's ability!" Jou-sama shouted. Ophion roared as the last of its lights vanished into the orb on its chest. Within moments, a cloud of its own corruption spread from its form only to coalesce into a new card for its mistress. At the same time, the foul aura surrounding it faded. "You lack a consistent means of special summoning high level monsters…"

"That's a risky move on Jou-sama's part," Onpu muttered, "Without an Overlay, Ophion can't keep high level special summons at bay anymore."

"I guess Jou-sama just isn't afraid of what Onee-chan can do now," Pop added.

"Demo ne…" Hazuki peeped, "Why would Jou-sama use that?"

"Deck thinning?" Aiko guessed, "Having a second Invasion card in reserve is always a good idea."

"That, and with Kerykeion out, she's loading her graveyard for its ability," Majorin continued, "She intends to summon Ouroboros."

All five Ojamajos gulped in anxiety.

"I now activate Kerykeion's ability!" Jou-sama declared again, "I'm sure this doesn't need another explanation?" Kerykeion forced open a portal and drew two orbs from it. One orb was drained of essence and the other was restored with what was stolen; the former was completely killed while the latter was placed in Jou-sama's hand. "And since I used that ability…"

Kerykeion conjured a beacon not unlike Castor's. Answering it was Heliolope…the same one, in fact. He too drew his sword and clanged it with Castor's.

"This…is it!" Jou-sama shouted, "I Overlay Castor, Kerykeion, and Heliolope!" Then and there, her three "normal" Verz monsters transformed into corrupt orbs of energy and spiraled upward. "I build the Overlay Network with these three Lv4 monsters!"

All three monsters entered a vortex bubbling with putrid blackness. It burst in a cloud of corruption, one that was even bigger than the previous two. Following it was a block if ice that dwarfed the prisons of Bahamut and Ophion combined.

"Trident of Shiva from the Ice Barrier! Surrender your rage and accept the Verz's command! Grant me your threefold might and destroy all! Xyz summon!" Three pairs of yellow eyes glowed from with the icy prison. Moments later, cracks appeared as the great beast within began to move. Suddenly, the mighty and corrupted dragon completely burst out from the ice, giving a terrifying roar as it stared down both opponents (2750/1950). "Break free from the Ice barrier, Verz Ouroboros!"

Doremi and Hana stared up at the three Verz dragons in shock and horror. Countless thoughts were running through their heads.

I didn't want to have to face this thing, Doremi thought, But now that it's here, I have to take its assault…I can't let Hana-chan take it!

It was scary the first time Hana-chan saw it! Hana thought, But seeing it face to…faces? Scary! So scary! But Hana-chan must be brave! For Mama's sake…

"I activate Ouroboros' effect!" Jou-sama declared, "By detaching one Overlay Unit, I can apply one of three effects!" One of the three lights orbiting the behemoth dragon was absorbed into the orb on its chest. Then, a foul darkness welled up from inside the middle head's mouth. "I can either return any card you control to the hand, send any card from your hand to the graveyard, or banish any card form your graveyard. I will go with the second option!"

At once, the powerful dragon let loose the foul darkness from its mouth. The burst rocketed straight toward the lone card in Hana's hand. She tried to dodge, but the attack homed in on her and struck her only card, knocking her off balance in the process and sending her into a free fall.

Gasping, Doremi flew down after her and managed to catch her just before she could impact with the ground. She helped her back onto her broom.

"Arigatou, Mama!" Hana said, relieved. She hugged the pink Ojamajo. "Hana-chan was so scared…"

"We're not out of the woods yet, Hana-chan," Doremi warned, "We still have to defeat Jou-sama!"

Hana nodded. Then, both of them flew back up to where Jou-sama was waiting. As they did so, they could see the other Ojamajos preparing a Magical Stage, with Majorin joining in. They breathed a sigh of relief when they saw the two girls pass by.

"Minna-san gomen ne," Hana said, sweat-dropping, "Gave you quite a scare, didn't we?"

"Yeah," Aiko replied.

"Doremi-chan! Hana-chan!" Majorin said urgently, "I fear Jou-sama is getting worse as time goes by. You must defeat her!"

"We will!" Doremi replied.

Both finished the trip back up. Jou-sama had clearly seen the entire scene unfold; she seemed both amused and applauding to Doremi's actions.

"I give you credit for saving Hana-chan, Doremi-chan," Jou-sama said, "But I valiance will not win you this battle."

"We'll see about that!" Doremi shouted back.

"Hmph! Overconfidence." Jou-sama sneered at her concealed card. "Turn end."

Yeah, overconfident, Doremi mentally muttered, Yet you're just floating there and not using your invasion cards to get around my shield…Unless-! Doremi's eyes went wide.

"During your End Phase," Hana began, breaking Doremi's train of thought, "Reverse card, open! Call of the Living Dead hatsudou! This card brings back any monster from Hana-chan's and Doremi-mama's graveyard! And Hana-chan chooses to bring back…" A red dagger appeared in her hand. "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon!"

Down below, Pop's eyes went wide in shock. "Galaxy-Eyes…?!"

"Nani yo?" Aiko replied, "What do you mean by 'Galaxy-Eyes', Pop-chan?"

"Galaxy-Eyes is…it's one of Shadow Hana's cards!"

"EHH?!" The other four girls gasped.

"N-Nani?!" Majorin replied, distraught.

Hana threw the dagger into the air. Moments later, three streams of starts flowed toward and into it, coalescing into a singular draconic from. A galaxy could be discerned from inside its glaring eyes (3000/2500).

"Be reborn!" Hana shouted.

Jou-sama stared at the powerful dragon with fear and utter shock. "How…? How did you get that card?!" she demanded, "Why is that card even in your deck?!"

"Shadow Hana-chan lent him to Hana-chan," Hana explained. Jou-sama's eye twitched in response. "Demo ne…Hana-chan's never really used him to his fullest…"

"Don't tell me I have to wield Galaxy-Eyes!" Doremi muttered, dismayed. Hana reluctantly nodded. "I really am the unluckiest pretty girl in the whole world!"

"Mama, please!" Hana begged, "Shadow Hana-chan lent us her best cards! We can't win without them!"

"It is your turn, Doremi-chan," Jou-sama said, impatiently, "I suggest you take it." She then turned to the glaring Galaxy-Eyes dragon and then to her own Verz dragons, the latter of which were more than a little unnerved. "I will find a way around your borrowed monster…"

Doremi shot a nervous look at Galaxy-Eyes. "Atashi…no Turn! D-Draw!" She reluctantly took her next card but kept her eye on the dragon. It seemed to feel her gaze on it; it turned and snarled in annoyance. "Gomennasai!" She looked at what was currently the only card in her hand. "Anou ne…"

"Mama!" Hana called, "Use Hana-chan's set card!" She pointed at a specific one. "You also have Hana-chan's Star Sign! Use it too!"

Doremi nodded. "Reverse card, open! Xyz Reborn hatsudou!" At once, the intricately designed dagger much like the TCG version of a common-to-use staple appeared. "This card lets me bring back any Xyz monster from mine and Hana-chan's graveyard! And the card I choose is…Sacred Hyades!"

"EH?!" Pop shouted from below, "But…why that card?!"

"I have no idea…" Aiko replied.

"Doremi-chan!" Onpu called, "You're making a mistake!"

"Onpu-chan!" Majorin chided, "You know we can't interfere in a duel and give advice, no matter what the cost!"

Onpu looked up at Majorin. "But Doremi-chan could've revived Sacred Ptolemys Messier 7 and used his ability to regain a lost card…"

Majorin replied with a silent and solemn nod. The others agreed with Majorin in her statement. Yet, all of them wanted to assist Doremi and Hana in their plays.

Regardless of what everyone below thought, the trap card did its job. A portal to the netherworld opened up. Moments later, the intricate design flew in and pulled the beast-like knight of the stars from his demise. It then turned into a red-purple light and began orbiting the Sacred. At the same time, the Star Sign above glowed brightly in response to the powerful Sacred's summon.

"And thanks to Star Sign of the Sacred, I can draw one card!" Doremi announced. She took the glowing top card of her deck and gave it a good look. "Now…I summon Death Guide Departing the Demon World Bound for the Living World!" At once, a demonic-looking bus from hell drove up, using an unexplained means to fly. The Death Guide herself stood in the open doorway of the bus (1000/600). "And Death Guide's ability allows her to bring another one from my deck!"

The Death Guide stepped aside and made room for a younger version of herself to come into view. Then, both turned into orbs of energy and spiraled upward.

"And with these two Lv3 monsters, I build the Overlay Network!" Doremi declared. Both monsters entered a red vortex, which burst with a bright flash once both were inside. Emerging from it was a smallish demon wielding a set of drums (1700/1000). "Awareru…Drum Devil – Temtemtempo!"

"You brought in…a weak monster?" Jou-sama said, her eye twitching in her disbelief, "What…?!"

"Temtemtempo has a really nasty ability," Doremi explained, "By detaching one Overlay, it can take an Overlay from one of your monsters! And when he does, he gains 500 ATK!" One of the green lights orbiting the Drum Devil was absorbed into his drums. He began playing a tune, the music of which sucked in the last light orbiting Bahamut, much to the dragon's shock. The energy from the stolen material flowed into the small Devil, making his drums bigger (1700-2200/1000). "I know he can't beat your monsters one-on-one, but I think I can defeat them all in one fell swoop!"

"So that's why Doremi-chan brought back Hyades," Onpu muttered.

Pop looked at her. "Can you, uh, fill us in?"

Onpu nodded. "You all saw it earlier: Hyades can force every monster Jou-sama has to defend. And since their DEF is very poor compared to their ATK…"

"I get it!" Momoko blurted, "Doremi-chan means to sweep all three Verz dragons ion one go!"

"Exactly!"

Doremi overheard her friends talking. She then looked inside her Extra Deck; more specifically, she looked at Vylon Disigma. If only they knew what I'm really up to… she thought, sadly. She put her Extra deck back and refocused on the duel at hand. "I attack Ouroboros with Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon!"

At that, the group's hearts sank.

Galaxy-Eyes narrowed its eyes and turned back to Doremi. It gave an angry and questioning roar right in the pink Ojamajo's face. Then…it threatened to attack her instead.

"Galaxy-Eyes!" Hana called, "Shadow Hana-chan wanted you to aid us, not destroy Mama!"

Galaxy-Eyes shot a wrathful glare at the white Ojamajo. Its reply, another angry roar, told her everything.

"Hana-chan knows you don't like serving anyone other than Shadow Hana-chan, but you must! If you don't, then we may lose!"

The dragon roared angrily once again. Then…its eyes went wide, as though hearing something. Once it snapped out of its stupor, it grumbled and shot a warning glare at both Ojamajos. Then, it turned to face Ouroboros.

"So…you're going to-?" Doremi began. Another warning snarl stopped her from asking. "Okay! I won't ask again!" She shook off the anxiety that Galaxy-Eyes exuded and cleared her throat. "Okay! At this time, Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon's ability activates! During the Battle Step, I can banish both it and the monster its fighting against!"

At once, Galaxy-Eyes rushed forward and grabbed Ouroboros. The corrupted trident of the Ice Barrier fought back against the Galaxy-Eyes, but to no avail. But instead of being killed, both vanished into another dimension.

"And at the end of the Battle Phase, Both Galaxy-Eyes and the monster it fought return to the field!" moments later, both dragons returned. Ouroboros seemed a bit nauseous from the trip while Galaxy-Eyes seemed none the worse for wear. "And if the monster Galaxy-Eyes banished was an Xyz monster, Galaxy-Eyes absorbs its Overlays!"

And just like that, a portal to the netherworld opened up. Both corrupted lights flew out and were drawn into Galaxy-Eyes' form, empowering it (3000-4000/2500).

"I set one card." A reversed card appeared behind Galaxy-Eyes. "Turn end."

"You should've destroyed my dragons when you had the chance…" Jou-sama said, scathingly, "Watashi no Turn! Draw!" A sneering grin appeared on Jou-sama's face upon seeing her new card. "I activate my set card: Pandemic Contagion of the Invasion!" Within moments, a foul aura surrounded each of the dragons. Nothing seemed to have happened otherwise, but they seemed to be ignoring the Swords now. "Verz Ouroboros! Attack Temtemtempo! Froze Verz Trident of Rage!"

Ouroboros drew back all three of its heads as it prepared to fire a threefold blast of frigid darkness. Within moments, it fired.

"But…how can it attack?" Hazuki asked, dismayed, "Doremi-chan's Swords are still active!"

"Don't forget," Onpu warned, "Pandemic provides Verz monsters with immunity to spells and traps this turn. Not even Swords will stop them."

"And considerin' the damage just two of them can inflict," Aiko added, "Jou-sama's really pulling out all the stops."

"Mama!" Hana called, "Use Hana-chan's other set card!"

Doremi got the message. "Un! Reverse card open!" she shouted. At once, the card revealed itself…and Doremi wished she hadn't seen it. "Sinister Shield…hatsudou?!" She turned to Hana again. "You got this card from Shadow Hana too, didn't you?"

Hana reluctantly nodded. "The card will help! When used, you it targets one monster you control and protects it!"

At once, the Shield flew out of its card and placed itself in between Ouroboros' attack and its target. The threefold blast rebounded off of it, but the trap seemed to facture slightly.

"A monster equipped with Sinister Shield cannot be destroyed by battle!" Hana explained, "Also, no damage can be inflicted!"

"I doubt that, Hana-chan," Jou-sama replied, "Ophion! Attack Temtemtempo! Frozen Verz Lance of Hate!"

Ophion roared violently as it unleashed its jet of cold darkness. It barreled right into the Drum Devil, blasting apart the Sinister Shield and freezing Temtemtempo to death. Still, the Shiled did its job, and Doremi was unharmed.

"As you can see," Jou-sama said, smugly and pointing it out, "Sinister Shield only protects against destruction once per turn. It's a real shame that I couldn't inflict any damage though…But I have one final chance now!" She turned to Bahamut. "Bahamut! Attack Sacred Hyades! Frozen Verz Spear of Despair!"

Bahamut obeyed its corrupted mistress and loosed a stream of cold darkness into the powerful knight of the stars. Hyades tried to deflect that attack, but the blast was too much, leading to his destruction. Doremi was caught in the tail end and blown off balance as hers and Hana's Life Points felt to 6750.

"Even with your Galaxy-Eyes at that level of power, I will defeat it," Jou-sama vowed, "Turn end!"

And with that, the third turn was up. The Swords Doremi had called upon faded into nothingness. No longer was there a shield protecting the two girls from Jou-sama inevitable assault.

"As long as we have Galaxy-Eyes, Hana-chan is not afraid!" Hana declared, "Atashi no Turn! Draw!" She took her card and smiled. She then looked at Doremi. "Can Hana-chan use your set card, Mama?" Doremi nodded. "Hai hai! Hana-chan activates Mama's set card!"

At once, Doremi's concealed card flipped over. Hana smiled when she saw it.

"Gagagarevenge hatsudou!" Moments later, a coffin burst out from a portal to the netherworld. It opened up, allowing Gagaga Magician to step out. He stretched from being in the cramped space. "Hana-chan activates Magician-san' ability and make him Lv8!" The Magician obeyed Hana's command and doubled his level. Then, he and Galaxy-Eyes turned into orbs or energy and spiraled upward. "And with these two Lv8 monsters, Hana-chan builds the Overlay Network!"

Doremi's eyes shot open in shock. "Hana-chan! Chotto matte!" she called, "HANA-CHAN!"

It was too late. Both monsters were already entering a galaxy-like vortex. It exploded in a rainbow burst, followed mere moments later by a sealed form emerging from within.

Down below, the group looked up at the form in shock. For most of them, it wasn't the first time they had seen it; Aiko, Onpu, Momoko, and Pop had flashbacks from how Shadow Hazuki used it to run roughshod over Doremi. Pop even recalled how Shadow Hana used it to trounce both her and Hana…and how it took her down in one turn and left Hana by herself during that cruel and ruthless duel.

"Roar throughout the entire universe! Revive, from the source of all galaxies, that flows from far back in time! Manifest yourself…and become Hana-chan's guide! Xyz summon!" Hana chanted. The sealed form split apart and opened up, extending various mechanical limbs and taking on a more draconic appearance. Upon finishing, it roared in rage, glaring right at all three Verz Dragons (3000/2500). "Awareru…Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon!"

Pop looked up in horror. "Hana-chan…!" she said in disbelief, "How…? How could you summon…?"

Onpu grit her teeth in dismay. She tapped the red Ojamajo on the shoulder and drew her in close. She replied by clinging to the child idol for comfort.

"Is…Is that card really…evil?" Hazuki asked.

"It belongs to Shadow Hana," Pop explained, "I…I only have a vague memory of it. It wanted to fight. It wanted to kill whatever it fought."

"But why is it in Hana-chan's possession now?" Momoko asked.

"I don't know," Majorin replied, "But we…we must hope that Hana-chan can control it."

All five Ojamajos looked up in worry.

Meanwhile, Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon was waiting for the right the command. It wanted to fight, especially after absorbing the residual energy from the coffin (3000-3300/2500). However, its patience was wearing thin, prompting an aggravated roar as it turned to face Hana.

"You want to fight this badly?" Hana asked, "Okay!"

"Hana-chan chotto matte!" Doremi called, "Just wait! Please!"

"Eh?"

Doremi shot a look at her daughter. "Trust me!" She took a deep breath. "Every time any of us fought someone under the Verz's control, we usually destroyed or banished the Verz card that was in their decks to free them from its influence. But Jou-sama's deck is full of Verz cards, many of which have already been banished by her own hand. Those Verz dragons she's controlling might be her Verz focus, but all the other Verz cards she has could easily substitute and maintain the Verz's hold on her!" Doremi looked over Jou-sama's corrupted form. "I want to try something…I want Vylon Disigma to use his ability on all three Verz dragons. It's risky, I know…but I have this feeling. I must try!"

Hana thought long and hard on Doremi's words. "But…Tachyon Dragon really really really wants to fight!" the white Ojamajo griped, "And Shadow Hana-chan entrusted Hana-chan with him!"

"Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon can deter them," Doremi replied, "My plan comes from Disigma…and I have to try it!"

"It is the start of Hana-chan's Battle Phase! At least let Tachyon Dragon use his ability."

Doremi nodded. "Okay…"

Hana nodded. "Gomen ne, Tachyon Dragon," she said. This earned her a dismayed and frustrated roar from the mighty dragon. "Hana-chan activates Tachyon Dragon's ability! By detaching one Overlay, Tachyon Dragon can negate the effects of all other face-up monsters on the field and reset their ATK and DEF! Go! Tachyon Transmigration!"

Tachyon Dragon seemed to roll its eyes as it absorbed one of the lights orbiting it. It then withdrew into its sealed form and unleashed a torrent of rainbow light. Immediately, the three Verz dragons groaned in as the debilitating light sapped their strength and neutralized their powers. All three glared at the Number before them as it unfolded itself, taking a more buff form.

"Hana-chan sets one monster," the white Ojamajo said. A concealed monster appeared by Tachyon Dragon's side. "Turn end." As Tachyon Dragon's form shrunk slightly, Hana turned to Doremi. "Hana-chan hopes you know what you're doing, Mama."

Doremi looked at Hana in remorse. "I hope I do too, Hana-chan."

Down below, the girls had no idea what to make of Doremi's actions.

Hazuki was thoroughly hoping that Doremi knew what was best.

Aiko was unnerved at Doremi's call and thought that something was up…and that Doremi wasn't herself.

Onpu and Pop grit their teeth, the former in sheer shock and the latter in thorough disappointment.

Momoko didn't want to believe what she saw and had no idea who's side to take, even with Aiko nearby.

Majorin stared in abject disbelief.

Jou-sama raised an eyebrow at the group's collective response. It was…amusing, to say the least. A the same time, she began dreading what Doremi was planning. She was correct; there were many Verz cards in her deck, the most dangerous of which were now crippled on her field. She was also aware of Vylon Disigma and, despite it being the focus for Doremi's corruption, was clearly no longer aiding the Verz; she also feared its ability to absorb effect monsters…something that her dragons were.

"Watashi no Turn! Draw!" Jou-sama announced, cautiously. Her new card made her smirk with sadistic glee. "I activate…Black Hole! And I will chain with another Pandemic!"

At that, Doremi's and Hana's eyes went wide. Another foul aura surrounded the weakened dragons followed by a massive dark vortex tearing its way into existence. The aura prevented the hole in reality from working on the Verz dragons, but the Number wasn't so fortunate. It tried its hardest, but it was pulled in along with the concealed monster.

Hana could barely hold back her tears. "Not again…!" cried.

"You shouldn't have toyed with me," Jou-sama snarled, gleefully, "Let alone listen to Doremi-chan!"

Doremi looked at Hana in utter remorse. She felt her mind cease working, her guilt overwhelming her psyche. She barely heard anyone else, barely felt herself, even as the dark aura bandage began coming undone…

What…have I done? Doremi thought. It was all that was on her mind now.

Hana was frantically shouting. "MAMA! MAMA! MAMA!" she cried, "Snap out of it! MAMA!"

"Too little, too late!" Jou-sama shouted, maniacally, 'Verz Bahamut! Verz Ophion! Verz Ouroboros! Finish them off!"

At once, the three dragons glared hungrily at the two girls. One by one, they drew their heads back, preparing to blast them into oblivion. Bahamut finished first and unleashed his might.

"Necro Gardna no kouka hatsudou!" Hana called, "Han-chan can banish him from the gravryard to stop your next attack!" At once, the dark armored warrior appeared before the young girl. HE took the attack, but was vaporized out of existence in the process. "At least Mama and Hana-chan are still in this!"

Jou-sama chuckled. "Except you still have to more attacks to take!"

At that time, Ophion had finished charging and loosed his own powerful attack. Hana flew out of the way in time, but the tail end caught her anyway and knocked her off balance. Both hers and Doremi's Life Points felt to 4200.

"Hana-chan!" all five girls called from below, "Daijoubu?"

"She won't be okay!" Jou-sama declared, "Ouroboros! Tear that child apart! Frozen Verz Trident of Rage!"

Before Hana could voice her reply, she was struck hard by the threefold blast of cold darkness, causing an agonized scream as hers and Doremi's combined Life Points fell to 1450. The damage was severe, and not just for her Life Points, but for herself as well. When the resultant cloud dissipated, Hana was unconscious and falling to the ground where death was eagerly waiting for her.

Hana's scream snapped Doremi out of her stupor. "Hana-chan!" Doremi called. She immediately began flying down after her, but Jou-sama intercepted. "Out of my way!"

"Then you will forfeit the duel," Jou-sama warned.

"NANI YO?! That wasn't an issue the last time!"

Doremi could only stare down in abject shock and terror as her daughter fell to her doom. Many thoughts were running through her head, all of them involving her berating herself for wanting to try such a mad plan. She felt her aura bandage tighten up, but did not see it start losing its starry sheen and begin reverting to the corrupted cloud it was before. She could still feel her devotion wavering…

A bit of hope was restored as she saw her fellows get out their brooms and immediately try to save the white Ojamajo. However, she had this horrible feeling that they wouldn't be fast enough to catch her in time. And with Jou-sama blocking her and threatening to take victory and re-corrupt them all…it was truly hopeless.

Suddenly, a shape flew in seemingly out of nowhere and caught Hana, much to everyone's surprise. A closer look revealed that the figure…looked exactly like Hana, albeit with a darker color scheme.

No one witnessing the scene could believe it.

Shadow Hana had just saved her Light Half from certain death and was now making her way to the balcony. She landed and set Hana down by the wall. From Doremi's vantage point, the others there were equal parts confused and resentful of the Shadow's presence and actions. They had also drawn their porons.

"Shadow Hana…?" Doremi questioned out loud.

On the balcony, Shadow Hana was keeping her guard up. She would have to, seeing as she was in the presence of five girls and one full grown Witch, all of whom she had wronged in the past. She wasn't surprised to see a bit of bad blood from them, and wouldn't be surprised if they meant to attack.

"Why did you do it?" Onpu inquired, pointing her poron at Shadow Hana, "Why did you, of all people, save Hana-chan?"

Shadow Hana removed both gloves and set them on the ground. "It's…complicated," she choked out.

Aiko, Momoko, and Hazuki lowered their porons at the gesture. "How so?" Aiko half-demanded.

Shadow Hana didn't answer. Instead, she looked up at the duel at hand. She gestured for Doremi to continue the duel and that Hana was safe. She even moved away from her to ensure the signal got through. Once she was more than a few feet away from her Light Half, the others moved and formed into a living wall between Hana and Shadow Hana.

"Don't think this changes anything, Shadow Hana!" Pop called.

Shadow Hana turned back toward the Ojamajos and sighed. "I know, Light Ojamajos. I know…"

Majorin, who had been standing by silently, remained on guard even though the white Shadow had surrendered her magic.

Hana stirred. "Hmm…? Minna-san…?" she began. The girls heard her and quickly turned to face her. "Mamas!" She then noticed Shadow Hana and quickly leapt to her feet. "Shadow Hana-chan!"

"Eh?" The girls asked in unison.

Hana pushed past them and hugged her Shadow. "You got out of that part of the dungeons!"

"She may have saved your life," Onpu warned, "But I still wouldn't trust her if I were you." Her eye twitched. "And…you're not listening, are you?"

"You saved Hana-chan?" Hana asked, incredulously. Shadow Hana nodded and freed herself from her Light Half's grip. "But then…is Hana-chan…?"

"You…weren't able to continue," Hazuki said, shaking.

Majorin stepped forward. "All of your cards that were either banished, in the graveyard, or on the field can still be used by Doremi-chan," she explained, "Including your Xyz monsters."

Shadow Hana perked up slightly. "I…saw you summon both of my Galaxy-Eyes, Hana-chan," she said, "I almost blew my cover!"

Up above, Doremi couldn't help but overhear the conversation. I can't believe I'm thinking this but, she thought, Arigatou…Shadow Hana. The pink Ojamajo continued looking down at the young Shadow. Maybe…maybe Hana-chan is right about you. You've changed a lot…and you wouldn't have saved Hana-chan's life if you hadn't.

"If you're done dwelling on that," Jou-sama spoke up, breaking Doremi's train of thought, "I will have you know there is still a life or death struggle here! Turn end!"

Doremi angrily turned back to Jou-sama. "You…You will pay for what you did to Hana-chan!" she shouted, her voice dripping with anger, "Atashi no Turn! Draw!" She took her card. Suddenly, she felt a sharp pain I her shoulder. She looked at it and found that the aura bandage was no longer starry…but a cloud of darkness. At the same time, blood had started dripping from the wound underneath. "Usou…!"

Then, in her mind, she heard a voice. A voice that wasn't unlike grinding.

Anger? Fear? Doremi thought, replying to the voice, That…that can cause it? The Verz in me to turn evil again?

A screech, this one in her mind too, replied.

What can I do? This is the only other card I have! I can't bring either of you out with just these cards alone!

Both the grinding and the screech replied in unison, but with different "words".

But I only have you purified, Disigma! And I really don't have the cards needed for you, Machu Mach!

The grinding replied. It was encouraging…and Doremi felt her fear and anger recede. At the same time, she felt her bandage tighten. Upon looking at it again, she noticed that it was once again starry.

Doremi smiled. Arigatou…you two! She then looked at both cards in her hand. "Jou-sama! This is where I get serious! I activate the spell Pot of Avarice! With this, I can return five monsters to my deck and then draw two new cards!"

At once, a large pot that was over-decorated with gems appeared for once. She took five monsters and placed them into her deck: Gagaga Gunman, Temtemtempo, Sacred Ptolemys Messier 7, Gredi, and Kaust. It shuffled…and then the top of her deck glowed a brilliant pink…DESTINY DRAW.

"The powers of my friends flows through my deck…and now with the purified Verz, I can do everything!" With those words, Doremi drew both glowing cards. She smiled greatly. "I activate the spell Magic Planter! By sending any face-up Continuous Trap card I control to the graveyard, I can draw two more cards!" Doremi turned to the still-face-up Call of the Living Dead Hana had used to bring back Galaxy-Eyes. The fact that it tended to remain on the field meaninglessly wasn't that good of a thought…but now she was glad it did. "I send Call of the Living Dead to activate Magic Planter!"

Just like that, the trap card evaporated into purple smoke. It drifted into Doremi's deck, allowing her to draw her cards. She smiled at what she drew.

"Next, I summon Summon Priest!" Moments later, the Priest himself appeared before the pink Ojamajo (800/1600). She prepared himself against the three Verz dragons. "And since I summoned a monster, I can special summon Kagetokage from my hand!" Priest noticed the small shadow lizard slither up and take shape (1100/1500). "Next, I activate Priest's ability! By discarding 1 spell card, I can specila summon any Lv4 monster from my deck!"

Doremi inserted her card into the slot. Priest gathered his magic together along with the energy from the sacrificed spell. When he finished, he opened a portal. Emerging form it was the all too familiar for of Astell Drawn (1600/1000). Than…all three monsters turned into orbs of energy and spiraled upward.

"This is it, Jou-sama!" Doremi shouted, "With these three Lv4 monsters, I build the Overlay Network!" Within moments, all three monsters had entered a glowing gold vortex. Then, it burst with a beam of dark and starry light not unlike Doremi's dark aura. Within it all was the very focus of Doremi's corruption-turned-command over her Verz (2500/2100). "When all turns against one, the powers that be will unite! Become the sole survivor and cleanse the world of evil! Xyz summon!" Doremi chanted, "Ascend and take your path, Vylon Disigma!"

Disigma blew off the aura enshrouding it. At the same time, Doremi's own dark aura intensified; the entire area behind her even seemed to become one endless night sky. Jou-sama glared daggers at Disigma.

"So you've appeared," Jou-sama muttered, "The one who betrayed my will."

Down below, everyone could hardly contain their awe.

"So that's Light Doremi's Verz focus?" Shadow Hana asked.

"Un!" Hana replied, "And it's really powerful too!"

"Eh…I don't know about that," Pop replied, "It really didn't do too much when she fought us."

"You didn't see Hana-chan's and Mama's duel against Black Queen and Evil Rin."

Everyone else's eyes went wide, including Shadow Hana's.

"You two…beat Black Queen and Evil Rin?!" Majorin asked, incredulously.

"Un! But it was really hard. Hana-chan didn't see the end of the duel, but Mama pulled through and won with Disigma."

"You mean the thing Doremi-chan's using now?" Pop asked. Hana nodded. "Well, let's see just what it can do."

Doremi overheard the conversation once again. You all will see, minna-san, she thought, "Since Vylon Disigma was Xyz summoned using Astell Drawn, I can draw one card!" The visage of the artist appeared over the powerful Vylon and sprinkled some paint on Doremi's deck. She drew her new card. "Next, I activate Disigma's ability! By detaching 1 Overlay, Disigma can take any Attack Position effect monster you control and equip it to itself! And the card I choose is…Verz Bahamut!"

At once, one of the three lights that orbited the powerful Vylon vanished into its forehead. Then, a beam shot out from the structure in between the uppermost and lowest sections and struck the dragon. It roared as it struggled against the pull that was now acting upon it.

Doremi closed her eyes and reached out. Her dark aura extended in response and took a more hand-like form. It touched the struggling dragon.

Her vision was clear.

Doremi was in a dreamscape, her hand on Bahamut's head. "It's okay now," she said to it, "You don't have to hold your despair anymore. Jou-sama will make amends to you and your siblings. I promise."

Back in reality, the dragon had calmed down. It surrendered to the beam and was now rushing into the Vylon's mind. As it passed through the pink Ojamajo's massive dark aura, a cloud of darkness was blown off it…and the powerful dragon's demeanor seemed to change. Once it vanished, Bahamut's outline could be discerned flying within Doremi's aura.

Once it was absorbed by the Vylon, Jou-sama's own dark aura seemed to boil violently. At the same time, her lowest pair of wings that looked like Bahamut's swelled and burst, fading into nothingness. All the while, Jou-sama was writhing yet somehow remaining in the sky.

Down below, the group couldn't believe what was happening.

"So…this was Onee-chan's plan?" Pop asked, "To have Vylon Disigma absorb a Verz dragon and use it to defeat the others?"

"I don't think so," Onpu replied, "Did you see what Verz Bahamut did when Doremi-chan's aura touched it?"

"Hai?"

"I've wondered what the deal was with Light Doremi's aura," Shadow Hana interjected, "It looks so…so…?"

"Peaceful?" Hana replied, "Serene? Gentle?" Shadow Hana nodded. "Mama told Hana-chan that there were too many Verz cards in the deck to defeat. Hana-chan thinks its Mama's plan isn't about defeating the Verz dragons…but about…uh, something else?"

"You don't know?" Shadow Hana deadpanned. Hana smiled sheepishly. "Damn it!"

"But Doremi-chan has put herself in a powerful position," Majorin noted, "None of Jou-sama's current monsters can beat it." The red violet Witch frowned. "Unfortunately…"

Jou-sama recovered from her agony. "How dare you take my dragon!" she seethed, "No matter. It was contaminated anyway."

Doremi shook her head. "It wasn't contaminated, Jou-sama," she replied, calmly, "Your fear, anger, and mistreatment of the Verz caused it to turn evil in the first place! You have to make amends to them!" Jou-sama growled angrily in response, prompting the pink Ojamajo to shake her head again. "I set one card." A reversed card appeared before the young girl. "Turn end."

"You are wrong!" Jou-sama shouted, "The Verz were all pure evil from the very beginning! They needed to be destroyed no matter what!" Her eye twitched. "Watashi no Turn! Draw!" She took her next card…and smirked with madness. "I activate Resurrection of the Dead! And I will use it to bring back…Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon!"

"She wouldn't-!" Shadow Hana seethed.

Despite everyone's desire for otherwise, the all too familiar ankh appeared. And within moments, a portal to the netherworld had opened up beneath…and a leash coming from it was grabbing onto and pulling the powerful Number up. It roared and trashed to no avail against the spell's power.

"Usou!" Hazuki half-shouted, "Vylon Disigma is only good against whatever attribute that matches the monsters it's absorbed!"

"In this case, DARK," Momoko added.

"Shadow Hana-chan?" Hana asked, "What attribute is Tacjyon Dragon?"

Shadow Hana turned a grievous eye toward her Light Half. "Tachyon-kun's a LIGHT monster…"

Everyone's eyes went wide in horror.

"I won't let that happen!" Doremi shouted, "Reverse card, open! Big Cremation hatsudou!" She closed her eyes. Minna-san…gomennasai… "When you use a card effect to target a monster in any graveyard, this trap card banishes all monsters from all graveyards."

Jou-sama's gasped in shock and rage. From deep within the portal, flames erupted, incinerating every single fallen monster, including Tachyon Dragon.

Doremi couldn't face the portal, but regret was all over her being. She didn't want to do this to hers, Hana's, and Shadow Hana's very monsters who had aided her up until this point. But she had no choice in the matter; had she not done so, she would've lost…and she knew it.

"It appears I can't defeat the treasonous Vylon right now," Jou-sama mused, "I switch Ophion and Ouroboros to Defense Position." Both dragons began flying more cautiously, keeping a sharp eye on the Vylon. "Turn end."

Shadow Hana looked up in abject dismay. "Tachyon-kun…Photon-kun…" she muttered, sadly.

Hana put her hand on the white Shadow's shoulder, much to her fellow Ojamajos' chagrin. "There, there, Shadow Hana-chan," she said, soothingly, "Hana-chan's sure Mama didn't want to! Eh heh heh, Hana-chan's even sure Mama will bring them back! …somehow?"

"You're too kind, Hana-chan," Shadow Hana replied, "But…I hope you're right."

Doremi eyed both dragons carefully. "Atashi no Turn. Draw!" she shouted. She looked at her card and smiled. "As long as your monsters are defending, Disigma can't absorb them. So I activate the spell Enemy Controller! And I will use it on Ophion!" At once, the giant videogame controller appeared. "Up, up! Down, down! Left, right! Left, right! B! A! Start!"

Seconds after the controller entered the code, Ophion was forced to become offensive. It roared angrily in response.

"Now…Disigma! Absorb Ophion!" Doremi commanded.

Another of the lights orbiting the powerful Vylon was consumed. Then and there, another beam shot out from it, striking Ophion. The dragon roared and struggled against it, but to no avail.

Doremi once again reached out her hand, extending her aura in the process. Upon touching the dragon, she accessed its thoughts.

"Please, Ophion!" Doremi mentally begged, "I'm here to help. Please leave your hate behind."

The dragon heard her words and calmed down. It surrendered to the beam and allowed itself to be absorbed. And just like Bahamut before it, Ophion's outline appeared within Doremi's aura, side-by-side with its sibling.

No sooner did it vanish, Jou-sama was wracked with more pain. Her aura boiled again, this time even more violently. As it did so, her second pair of wings –Ophion's wings- swelled and vanished in a burst of darkness. She recovered again, fuming angrily at the pink Ojamajo.

"You…can't do this!" Jou-sama shouted, "You…You cannot win!"

"This is all I'm doing right now," Doremi replied, "Turn end."

The group below watched the entire scene unfold. It was surprising to see Doremi act with such grace and to see her actually be able to manipulate her resonance to this level. Their thoughts were ultimately different, yet shared one common thought.

They knew Doremi had made it to a whole other level.

Jou-sama was getting desperate. "This isn't supposed to happen…!" she muttered, "Watashi no Turn! Draw!" The corrupted Queen shakily drew her card, wincing as she saw it. "Turn end."

"What's going on with Jou-sama?" Hazuki peeped, "She…she seems on edge."

"She's panicking," Majorin explained, worriedly, "If she pulled anything good, then her state of mind would prevent her from realizing it."

"That's a…good thing, isn't it?" Momoko asked.

"In some way, yes," Onpu replied, "But to get her to that state…what were you thinking, Doremi-chan?"

"Mama ganbare!" Hana cheered.

Onpu sighed. "Minna-san gomen ne," she began, "But I stand by my point."

"No one said they disagreed with ya," Aiko replied, "I don't think Doremi-chan was right forcin' Jou-sama into this corner either."

"But, Ai-chan!" Momoko spoke up, "What if Doremi-chan had to?"

Aiko and Onpu sighed. "Even so, making your opponent panic like this ain't right!"

"It's called 'being pragmatic'," Shadow Hana retorted, "And don't forget: Light Queen still has over 20000 Life Points from obviously forcing this to be a handicap duel."

"If she was really being pragmatic," Pop retorted, "then why didn't she take out Ouroboros or Ophion with Disigma after it absorbed Bahamut?"

Shadow Hana frowned. "Touché."

Doremi's expression softened but frowned upon overhearing her friends speak. They were correct; she was taking decidedly un-heroic actions to ensure her victory. She knew they could easily be explained, but doing that would be wrong of her.

She didn't want to upset them any more than necessary…and if she had her way, they wouldn't have been that way in the first place.

"My friends are right," Doremi said, "I have been a jerk. I let Hana-chan down and allowed her to get crushed just to allow Disigma more ease. And I forced you into a corner and to panic. Gomennasai."

Jou-sama snorted. "So you finally surrender then?" she inquired, "You know that's what this duel entails, do you not?"

Doremi shook her head. "If I lose here, then all is lost. Atashi no Turn! Draw!" She took the top card of her deck and sighed upon seeing what it was. "I set one card." A reversed card appeared before her. "Turn end."

"What is she waiting for?" Shadow Hana asked, impatiently.

"She's waiting on a card that can force Ouroboros to Attack Position," Onpu replied, "And with Doremi-chan's resonance…I think that card is for later."

"Then what's Mama planning?" Hana asked.

"I…I don't know," Majorin replied.

Up above, an insane confidence crept onto Jou-sama's face. "You should've finished me off when you had the chance, Doremi-chan!" she said, mockingly, "Watashi no Turn! Draw!" She took her next card…and smirked when she saw it. "I set one card!" A reversed card appeared right in front of her. "Turn end!"

Doremi looked over her field carefully. "Atashi no Turn! Draw!" she shouted. Her next card practically flew out of her deck and into her hand. And she smiled at it. "I activate the spell Foolish Burial! With this, I can send any monster from my deck to my graveyard!" Within moments, a portal opened up before the young girl. A glowing card from her deck flew out and into the void. "And now I activate the effect of the AD Changer! By banishing it, I can change the battle position of any monster you control!"

Just before the portal closed, a card -the very same card that was thrown in there to begin with- flew out. It turned into a small being wielding two flags: One of them was red and had a large "A" on it while the other was blue and had a similarly large "D". He pointed the red flag at Ouroboros, creating a beam that forced the dragon to stop defending.

"And now, Reverse card, open!" Doremi declared, "Return from the Different Dimension hatsudou! By halving my Life Points, I can special summon as many of mine and Hana-chan's monsters that were banished!"

Doremi clutched her aura bandage as her Life Points fell to 725. In moments, a spiral appeared overhead. Within it, numerous monsters could be seen.

"Come on back! Sacred Hyades! Sacred Pleiades! Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon! And Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon!" Four of the monsters seen made a break for it, bursting out of the different dimension and descending to Doremi's side. The former two brandished their weapons while the latter two roared angrily at the pink Ojamajo. "I know…I deserve it…"

Jou-sama stared in apprehension at the veritable army of knights and dragons that her adversary summoned. She knew her own was no match for it and her hand was full of dead cards. At least, that's what she thought. However, her state of mind was dominated by the Verz…and the Verz was beginning to let go of its negativity and now wished for her to lose.

"You…You…can win this…" Jou-sama said, sadly, "But…why? Why…and how did you get so powerful?"

Doremi closed her eyes. "My power comes from my friends, Jou-sama," she explained, "It was their strength that allowed Machu Mach to remove the Verz cards from them." She opened her eyes and frowned. "I…I thought you understood that. That's why you wanted us to become Witches. We had so many qualities you wanted to see in a Witch."

Jou-sama simply floated there, her head hung. "Please…Doremi-chan. Free them. Free them from this corruption."

Doremi nodded and turned to Disigma. "Are you ready, Disigma?" The Vylon gave a soft screech in agreement. "Then for the last time…I activate Disigma's ability!"

And with that, Disigma consumed the last of the lights that once orbited it. No sooner than it did, a third beam emerged and struck Ouroboros. It didn't struggle as violently as Bahamut and Ophion, but it struggled nonetheless. Doremi again extended her aura, touching it on its middle head.

"It's okay now," Doremi comforted, "You can let go of your rage now. The corruption…is over."

With those words, Ouroboros surrendered and allowed itself to be absorbed, taking the last of the Queen's dark aura with it. As the dragon's outline appeared within Doremi's aura, Jou-sama winced in pain as her last pair of wings swelled and evaporated, revealing her black-feathered wings underneath. At the same time, the foul, aberrant growths disintegrated, reverting to nothingness.

Suddenly, Jou-sama began a mad cackling as a dark aura unlike the Verz's appeared around her. Her expression changed to one of pure evil.

"Nani yo-?" Doremi gasped.

"I really must thank you for setting me free, Doremi-chan," Jou-sama said, menacingly, "The Verz just started acting as a restraining bolt on me. But now that you've taken the most powerful of the Verz's influence from me, I can have you killed without any remorse!"

Down below, everyone was looking up in abject shock.

"I can't believe it!" Majorin muttered, "I can't believe it at all!"

"What is it?" Hazuki peeped.

"We were so caught up in freeing Jou-sama from the Verz…" The red-violet Witch stared up in shock and horror. "I forgot she was still in that Corrupted Super Witch Form…"

"You mean-?!" Shadow Hana blurted. Majorin nodded in dismay. "So then, Light Doremi is doomed?"

"Maybe not," Onpu replied, "It might be possible to snap Jou-sama out of it. Doremi-chan just has to deal a lot of damage in one turn."

"You mean deliver an OTK?" Momoko asked.

"Maybe, maybe not."

"But the more damage Doremi-chan can deal, the better her odds?"

"Yeah."

"Then you better strike as hard as you can, Onee-chan!" Pop called.

"Bring it to her, Mama!" Hana shouted, cheering.

Doremi nodded. Gomennasai…Jou-sama. But I have to do this, she thought to herself, "Before I begin, I overlay Hyades!"

At once, Hyades nodded and rushed into a golden vortex. Moments later, it exploded in a gold and silver burst of energy. Hana looked right into it and smiled.

"Light of the stars, unite as one! Descend and be the guide of my path! Xyz summon!" Doremi and Hana chanted, together, "Descend from the stars, Sacred Ptolemys Messier 7!"

And just like that, the mighty Sacred emerged from the vortex. It took its place by Pleiades' side.

"Do you really believe that will defeat me?" Jou-sama taunted, "How disappointing!"

"Pleiades! Attack Jou-sama directly!" Doremi commanded, ignoring the corrupted Queen's scathing statement.

Pleiades rushed headlong toward the Queen, blades drawn. She didn't have time to react before getting sliced by the attack. She was blown back a bit as her Life Points fell to 18000.

"Do you really believe that did any good?"

"Sacred Ptolemys Messier 7! Attack Jou-sama directly!" Doremi shouted. Hana looked up and nodded at her favored mother.

"Supreme Radiance of the Sacred!" Both girls shouted.

Messier 7 gathered its strength together. With its full might, the dragon-like machine blasted Jou-sama, even seeming to damage her. She recovered, but her Life Points fell to 15300.

"Your attacks are useless!" Jou-sama shouted.

Doremi shook her head and turned to both Galaxy-Eyes dragons. "Tachyon Dragon? Photon Dragon?" she asked. Both dragons roared angrily at her. Both were clearly still angry at her for banishing them, even it was to prevent the Number from being used by Jou-sama. "Demo ne…Onegai!"

"They won't listen to you, Light Doremi," Shadow Hana called form below, "But they will listen to me! Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon! Show Light Queen what happens when she turns evil! Photo Stream of Destruction!"

Photon Dragon groaned at the order. It hated having to indirectly do the bidding of someone other than its master, but it had no choice. With a mighty flap of its wings, the powerful dragon launched its infamous breath weapon at the corrupted Queen.

It hit its mark. Jou-sama screamed in agony as she was immersed in the Stream's energy. Even after it dissipated, she was still clutching her shoulder in pain, even as her Life Points plummeted to 12300.

"How…How does a mere Shadow gain…these powerful monsters?!" Jou-sama demanded, gritting her teeth.

"Your turn, Tachyon-kun!" Shadow Hana shouted, "Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon! Attack Light Queen directly! Tachyon Spiral of Annihilation!"

Tachyon Dragon was even less inclined to follow that order. It was bad enough its counterpart didn't have the back bone to resist, but it? Nevermind. It was its master giving this order. And the adversary did try to steal him to use for herself…

Ultimately, Tachyon Dragon decided to follow the order. With a loud roar, it fired its own signature attack right into the now-horrified Queen. It hit hard, sending her into a barely-controlled spin as her Life Points fell to 9300. She recovered just in time, but she was now struggling to remain aloft.

"To have a second one…Why?" Jou-sama inquired, "But…but then…?!"

"It doesn't have to be this way, Jou-sama!" Doremi pleaded, "Let go of your anger! Let go of your hate! Let go of your despair!"

"My anger, hate, and despair are all I have!" Jou-sama yelled, "And it's all I'll ever need!"

"No…no it isn't." Doremi bit her lip. We hit her with everything we had, she thought, But her Super Witch Form isn't even remotely damaged! There has to be a way…and I think there is! She looked toward Vylon Disigma. "Disigma? We have no choice. We have to attack her…head on."

Disigma turned to its master. It liked the idea of fighting, but not like this. To see such despair…it had changed within and was able to see just what it truly was. But now…its master was asking to fight with it instead of just sending it to fight in her stead. It had to accept this.

Doremi understood. She flew over Vylon Disigma's head and dismounted her broom. Then, to everyone's surprise, she actually landed on top of the thing's head! Without passing through! And this was even though they never really thought about them being holograms earlier…

Regardless, to see Doremi make such a move…it was shocking and awe-inspiring, to say the least.

"Now…Let's show Jou-sama the way out of the evil that's controlling her," Doremi suggested. Disigma agreed with every bit of its being. "Right! Disigma! Attack Jou-sama directly!"

Disigma screeched as it gathered the combined powers of the three dragons it had absorbed. From within Doremi's aura, Verz Bahamut, Verz Ophion, and Verz Ouroboros emerged, taking their shape back but as extensions of the pink Ojamajo herself.

Suddenly, all four Xyz monsters began glowing a gold and pink color. Doremi was caught in it, but it did her no harm. She was afraid at first…until she felt greatly empowered. She even felt her wound heal itself and had a dim feel of a pair of wings on her back.

From a distance, the sight was utterly amazing. Doremi's odangos came undone, allowing her long red hair to flow freely. A pair of angelic wings had sprouted from her back and her aura bandage had withdrawn from her now-healed wound.

Her aura seemed to boil and distend. It separated and even seemed to merge with her uniform. Numerous trails of it flowed around her, resembling ribbons of a starry night sky.

When it was finished, Doremi reached for her Duel Disk and seemed to extract something glowing from it. When the glowing lowered to manageable levels, its shape was clear: A pink katana that was clearly her evolved poron.

Her appearance was comparable to her old uniform. However, her upper torso was slightly armored with pink plates, her gloves had extended to her elbows, and her boots had sprouted angelic wing-like decorations on the ankles. Finally, her skirt had become more like a set of wings in its own right, even having extended a few pink ribbons of its own.

Majorin looked up and recognized it immediately. "A…Super Witch Form…?" she gasped, "But…how…?"

"It's…it's incredible!" Shadow Hana remarked, "It's…it's just like when Light Queen transformed and vaporized us…"

Hana clutched her Shadow's shoulder. "It's okay, Shadow Hana-chan," she cooed, soothingly, "You're not the same person anymore."

The gesture brought a serene smile to the young Shadow.

"But…if only you, Jou-sama, and Meg-chan have a Super Witch Form," Hazuki began, "How did Dormei-chan get one of her own?"

Onpu looked up closely. "I think Doremi-chan must have absorbed a part of Jou-sama's own Form," she used.

"How?" Aiko asked.

"When Doremi-chan was having Disigma absorb the Verz dragons, she also was tearing off parts of Jou-sama's aura. And since the Verz is thoroughly embedded in Jou-sama's being and she was in her Super Witch Form at the time…"

"Combined with how Onee-chan seemed to purify the Verz dragons," Pop added.

"And it all makes sense!" Majorin finished, "Doremi-chan drew upon the seven seals' power from the Verz dragons. Using them, she became a Super Witch herself!" She took a deep breath, relieved. "Maybe…just maybe…she has a chance now!"

Jou-sama glared daggers at Doremi. She was clearly alarmed at the turn of events, but she was more alarmed that she might be incapable of withstanding such an attack. After all, the pink Ojamajo had just evened the odds.

"You won't defeat me!" Jou-sama shouted, "It isn't possible!"

"All I have to do is free you from the evil's grasp, Jou-sama," Doremi replied, "Even if I can't drop your Life Points to 0 this turn…! Vylon Disigma! Verz Bahamut! Verz Ophion! Verz Ouroboros! Attack Jou-sama directly!"

Doremi and Disigma extended their collective aura outward. It struck fast, grabbing Jou-sama and holding her in place and leaving any and all chance of evading the attack nil. Moments later, the three dragons turned into bolts of energy and raced forward, sheathing themselves in the Vylon's lightning and striking hard.

One by one, the Verz dragons plowed right into the corrupted Queen's screaming form. Bahamut pierced her left wing. Ophion drove into her right arm. And finally, Ouroboros tore through her heart.

And to add on to the three strikes, Disigma sent a burst of lightning right at her. Doremi augmented it by sending a crescent-shaped bolt from her katana. Both hit, dropping Jou-sama's Life Points to 6800…but those didn't matter anymore. When the dust settled, Jou-sama's Super Witch Form was flickering, trying to stay active.

It didn't stay that way.

Jou-sama reverted to normal right after Doremi released her from her aura and immediately began plummeting to the ground. Thinking quickly, the pink Ojamajo leapt off of Disigma's head and flew down after her. She managed to catch her long before she could even begin to fathom an impact.

And with that, Doremi carried Jou-sama to the balcony and to a thoroughly stunned group.

"D-Doremi-chan…!" Hazuki said, astonished, "You're…you're just like…!"

Doremi shook her head. "I…have no idea!" she said, sheepishly. Her expression hardened as she looked toward Jou-sama; Majorin had already begun clutching her unconscious form. "If Jou-sama could bring back the dead without taking their lace while in her Super Witch Form, then I think I can use mine to bring her back to us!"

And with those words, Doremi aimed her katana poron at Jou-sama and spread a curtain of pink light down upon the queen. The magic held within did the trick, allowing her to reopen her eyes. However, the spell used up a lot of her energy, causing her to revert to normal, albeit -and thankfully- with her wound healed.

Jou-sama opened her eyes. "Minna-san…?" she began. She shook her head to get the grogginess out. "Minna-san! Gomennasai!" She struggled to her feet, but found herself falling back to the ground. Majorin caught her easily enough, but the Queen was still shaken from her experience." Gomennasai…I…I've done terrible things in recent days…"

"You weren't yourself at the time," Majorin assured, "It's over."

Jou-sama opened her hands, revealing the Seven Seals. She then took out her deck and set it on the ground. She then followed by summoning her Royale Keyblade.

"Majorin? I…I don't think I'll have the strength to do this myself."

"What are you trying to do?" Doremi asked.

"I have to prevent this from happening again, Minna-san," Jou-sama said, "Therefore, this Verz deck…it must be destroyed!" Doremi quickly dove in and grabbed the deck. "Doushite? Doremi-chan!"

"The Verz isn't at fault, Jou-sama," Doremi explained, "You felt fear, anger, hate, and despair. The Verz absorbed these things from you when you played them against Evil Rin. They became as evil as they were in the Duel Terminal storyline because you deliberately hurt them!"

Jou-sama stared at the pink Ojamajo, jaw agape. "That…That can't be true!" she gasped, "It just can't-!"

"The Verz were brought to life by your magic, Jou-sama. They were like children, in a way…your children! Just like how our cards were brought to life by us!" Doremi took a deep breath. "It helps explain the resonance. The cards we brought to life…they consider us to be parents. That's why they follow our commands the way they do: They think of us as their parents!"

"Then…I was a horrible parent then…" Jou-sama felt tears drip from her eyes. She then looked at the Verz deck in Doremi's hand. "What…have I done…?"

"It's not too late, Jou-sama. I've purified the three Verz dragons already." She looked down at the deck and frowned. "Demo ne…I still feel rage, hate, and despair. Not much, but still enough to drive someone berserk."

"Then, you can-?"

Doremi shook her head. "No, I can't. Not like this."

The group looked on in dismay. Here they were, thinking that this crisis was finally over. Instead, it was simply more bad news.

"Wait a minute!" Aiko spoke up, "Didn't Machu Mach have the power to remove the Verz cards from us?"

"Well, yeah, but only for the six of you," Doremi replied.

"But…can you at least try for Shadow Hana-chan" Hana asked, "She did save Hana-chan's life!"

Doremi reluctantly nodded. She pulled out her Machu Mach and showed it to Shadow Hana.

Shadow Hana stepped forward and pulled out her Verz card, Verz Azathoth. She presented it to the pink Ojamajo Her eyes showed apprehension.

Still clutching her card, Doremi grabbed Shadow Hana's card. A glow emanated from Machu Mach, but try as she might, the pink Ojamajo couldn't remove Verz Azathoth from the white Shadow's unwilling grip. Finally, she let go of the card, allowing the Shadow to take her card back.

"Just like Shadow Doremi," Doremi muttered, sadly, "Gomen ne."

Onpu looked up to the sky. "I wonder…" She began. She then turned to Doremi. "Doremi-chan! Can you try again? This time with both Machu Mach and Disigma?"

"I have a better idea," Pop replied, "Onee-chan? Can you go in between all of us?"

"Doushite?" Doremi replied.

"Oh, I get it!" Momoko said, "Onpu-chan wants us to use Magical Stage with Machu Mach and Disigma! That way, Doremi-chan can purify the whole world in one fell swoop!"

"Great idea," Shadow Hana retorted, "Except my magic is Shadow magic. It won't mix well with your Light Being magic…"

"We weren't intending to include you," Pop retorted back, "Several of us still don't trust you."

"Figures."

Doremi nodded and went to the middle of the group. "Minna-san?"

"Un!" The girls replied.

"Jou-sama," Majorin began, "You're still weak from being in your Corrupted Super Witch Form, even after Doremi-chan healed you."

"I know, Majorin," Jou-sama replied, "I'm trusting you to help them."

Majorin nodded.

And with that, the girls started their spell.

"Pirika Pirilala Nobiyakani!" Doremi chanted.

"Paipai Ponpoi Shinyakani!" Hazuki chanted.

"Pameruku Laliku Takarakani!" Aiko chanted.

"Pururun Purun Suzuyakani!" Onpu chanted.

"Peruton Petton Sawayakani!" Momoko chanted.

"Pippito Purito Hogarakani!" Pop chanted.

"Poroin Pyuarin HanaHana Pii!" Hana chanted.

Majorin snapped her fingers, adding her strength to the mix.

"Magical Stage!" The girls collectively shouted, "Help Doremi-chan purify the world!"

Doremi immediately held up both Number 33: OOPArts Super Weapon – Machu Mach and Vylon Disigma's cards. Within moments, they glowed…and the Number and Vylon's forms appeared overhead. The giant jewel that was the representation of the Magical Stage seemed to merge with the both of them. At once, both monsters set to work, drawing in all traces of the Verz that was present in this world.

On top of the tower, Shadow Doremi stirred as her Verz card -Verz Mandragora- was drawn out of her possession.

Within the library, Shadow Hazuki grumbled from the sudden discomfort and woke up long enough to see her Verz card -Verz Thunderbird- float off her form and out the window.

Shadow Aiko cracked her back as she finally recovered from that blast. She was just in time to see her Verz card -Verz Golem- fly out of her deck and down the halls.

Shadow Onpu stared at her deck as her Verz card -Verz Zahak- emerged from it and flew off, much to her surprise.

Shadow Momoko was too deep in her despair and apathy to notice her Verz card -Verz Heliolope- fly out of her deck and out her window.

Shadow Pop sat in the common room, calmly playing a videogame by herself. She didn't even notice her Verz card -Verz O'Lantern- drift out of her deck and under the door.

Black Queen and Evil Rin were woken up by Black Mist's now-summoned form. He alerted them both to their Verz cards -Verz Thanatos and Verz Nightmare, respectively- coming out of their decks and flying u the stairs. The monster seemed relieved, but the two dangerous Shadows looked on with disdain.

Shadow Hana stared in surprise and near-joy as her Verz card finally flew out of her possession and into Doremi's hands. It was to be joined by eight others, all identified by the girls whose owners they fought against only an hour or two ago. Once all was said and done, the magic faded…

"That's nine Verz cards from the Shadows alone!" Momoko exclaimed.

"Plus three from Jou-sama," Hazuki added.

"And the six we have," Aiko further added.

"Not to mention Doremi-chan's Disigma," Onpu stated, "Uh, does that one really count?"

"It was the focus of her Verz corruption," Majorin reminded, "So that makes it part of this group."

"That's nineteen total."

"So…that's all of them?" Hazuki asked.

"Seems like it!" Hana said, cheerfully.

Majorin shook her head. "There is one that you haven't fought yet," she warned, "According to the guide, there were nineteen Verz cards. However, you only mentioned eighteen; Disigma isn't truly a member of that part of the archetype."

"Then who's missing?" Onpu asked.

"Does it matter?" Shadow Hana asked, "With Light Queen back to normal, she should be able to take all the Verz back and even manage to convince it to stop whatever it's trying to do!"

The girls managed to force a few reluctant smiles. Hana was the exception, given that she was genuinely close to the Shadow.

"Then we better get going," Majorin said, "We still have a lot to clean up in Majo Kai."

"However," Onpu said, her expression turning into a hard glare, "I…would say we should drag you off…" Her face then softened after seeing an alarmed look from Hana. "But…if we do, then we wouldn't be any better than you were. We would be proving that you Shadows were really telling the truth when you boast about being better than we are."

The girls nodded in agreement. They knew Onpu was telling the truth, even if the Shadows had committed so many atrocities against them in the past. And even though it wasn't just Onpu who wanted to take the Shadow, they knew they couldn't, especially since they would risk the others coming to save her.

Hana picked up both of the fallen gloves and gave them back to Shadow Hana. "We have to go now, Shadow Hana-chan," Hana said, sadly, "Hana-chan just wishes we could've had more time."

Shadow Hana smiled sweetly. "I know, Hana-chan. I know."

Then, Shadow Hana leaned forward…and kissed Hana…on the lips. And the white Ojamajo closed her eyes and returned it.

At once, the entire group reacted with abject disgust and shock. It was one thing to kiss a Shadow -especially in Jou-sama's case!- but this was different. It was two young girls who were using magic to age themselves to tween bodies. What's more was that it was a Shadow and her Light Half; essentially, it was comparable to twins kissing one another.

"Hana-chan…!" the Ojamajos shouted in disbelief.

The twosome released one another from their embrace. "Yeah, Hana-chan has lots of explaining to do," the white Ojamajo said, sheepishly, "Gomennasai!"

"You guys took it a lot better than the Shadows," Shadow Hana remarked, "But explaining is a long story and I can't tell you without Hana-chan." She smiled sheepishly. Then, her expression turned to one of concern. "That, and the others are beginning to stir. You gotta get out of here!"

"What about you?" Jou-sama asked.

"I've already jumped a gun doing this and did so earlier by helping you Light Beings out. What they won't know won't hurt them."

"Weren't you hurt by Black Queen when you planted one on Hana-chan?" Pop asked.

"I would have, but there was a bizarre event going on, so only me, Hana-chan, Shadow Isabelle, and Shadow Ruka know."

This statement raised a few eyebrows in curiosity. They wanted to know exactly what happened while Hana was a prisoner. Perhaps it would explain why Hana and Shadow were friends now and even how the latter went from absolutely hating her Light Half to deeply liking her.

"MINNA-SAN!" a frantic voice called, interrupting the conversation. The group turned toward the source and found it to be Majo Toron. She was flying up to them. "WE HAVE TROUBLE! HORRIBLE TROUBLE!"

"Nani nani?" Majorin replied. Majo Toron landed on the crowded balcony.

"Majo Isabelle! She's taken over Majo Kai using the Verz!"

"EH?!" the Ojamajos and Shadow Hana gasped.

"The last I saw of her, Majo Heart was fighting her off, but even she wouldn't be able to hold her for long! Kada and Skaj helped me come here to warn you. We have to get back to Majo Kai and stop her!"

"Majo Toron!" Majorin half-called, "Calm down! Just calm down." She turned to the Ojamajos. "Minna-san? Remember that last Verz card I spoke of? I think that's the card Majo Isabelle has." She then faced Shadow Hana. "You! Can you take us back to Majo Kai?"

"Uhh…" Shadow Hana stuttered, "Oh well. I've jumped a gun several times today, what's the worst that can happen right now? Ok! Hold on tight!"

She grabbed Hana's hand and gestured her to grab everyone else. They took her lead and quickly found themselves in a long chain. Then, Shadow Hana took advantage of the abundant shadows and warped off, taking the group with her…

The group reappeared with a start by the gateway to the Maho-dou. They recovered only to see just what had happened while they were away

In the distance, the landscape was clearly showing signs of corruption. Scores of trees and flowers were growing aberrant tentacles and boils. Smoke from fires could be seen rising and snaking into the sky.

"I didn't think Majo Isabelle worked this fast…" Majorin deadpanned.

"All the more reason to stop her then," Jou-sama replied, determined. She got to her feet…only to collapse. "Nani?"

"You're still too weak, Jou-sama," Majorin warned.

"Then we'll take care of things!" Doremi said, assuringly. She then got out her own deck. "I think I may know how to purify the Verz still in your deck, Jou-sama." Then, both decks glowed; Jou-sama's glowed a bright silver while Doremi's glowed pink. The contents split apart into a cloud of cards. Then, forty cards from the mix coalesced into a single deck while leaving the rest in Jou-sama's hands. "By combining our decks, we can beat her!"

Jou-sama nodded. "Alright then," she replied, "Good luck…to all of you!"

"But…I can't do this," Shadow Hana replied, "I'll be going too far if I do!"

"Don't worry about it, "Hana replied, "If you must, you should help your friends back in Kage Kai. Hana-chan thinks you need to make amends to them."

Shadow Hana smiled. "Arigatou, Hana-chan!" And with that, Shadow Hana vanished back into the Shadows.

Once she had left, the girls turned toward the distance and mounted their brooms. The journey to Majo Isabelle wasn't going to be easy, that much could be discerned. But what to do when they got to Majo Isabelle? They would have to stop her from simply killing them outright and force her to play the children's card game.

But for now, they had to worry about who and what was going to intercept.

They took off, bracing themselves for the dangers ahead…

Featured Duel: Doremi and Hana vs Verz Majo Kai no Jou-sama

This duel is a two-vs-one game and will be fought using Tag-Team rules. It is also a Handicap Duel, so Verz Jou-sama starts with a much higher score than Doremi and Hana. And since it is a tag-team Duel, Doremi and Hana will share a field, graveyard, and banish zone and anything returned to the Hand/Deck/Extra Deck will go to the controlling player, regardless of who owns it.

Doremi and Hana LP (8000) – Verz Jou-sama LP (24000)

Verz Jou-sama's turn:

Verz Jou-sama has Evilswarm Mandrago, Evilswarm Kerykeion, Evilswarm Castor, Safe Zone, and Rescue Rabbit as her opening hand. She draws Evilswarm Thunderbird.

Verz Jou-sama summons Rescue Rabbit. She activates its effect, banishing it to special summon two Evilswarm Heliotropes from her deck. She then overlays both to Xyz summon Number 66: Master Key Beetle. She follows by setting Safe Zone. Next, she activates Master Key Beetle's effect, detaching an Xyz material and targeting her set Safe Zone.

Verz Jou-sama ends.

Doremi's turn:

Doremi has Pot of Duality, Mystical Space Typhoon, Gagaga Magician, Threatening Roar, and Card Destruction as her opening hand. She draws Reinforcement of the Army.

Doremi activates Mystical space Typhoon and targets Verz Jou-sama's set Safe Zone; because it is the target of Key Beetle's effect, it is not destroyed. She activates Reinforcement and uses it to add Goblindbergh to her hand. She normal summons it and uses his effect to special summon Gagaga Magician. She overlays both to Xyz summon Gagaga Cowboy. She then activates his effect, detaching Magician.

Doremi attacks Master Key Beetle with Cowboy. During the Battle Step, Verz Jou-sama activates Safe Zone and targets Master Key Beetle. During the Damage Step, Key Beetle loses 500 ATK while Cowboy gains 1000 since Cowboy activated his effect while in Attack Position; Key Beetle isn't destroyed thanks to Safe Zone.

Doremi sets Threatening Roar and ends.

Verz Jou-sama's turn:

Verz Jou-sama draws Mirror Force.

Verz Jou-sama normal summons Evilswarm Castor and uses its effect to normal summon Evilswarm Thunderbird. She overlays both to Xyz summon Evilswarm Bahamut. She activates its effect, detaching Thunderbird to discard Mandrago and take control over Cowboy. Doremi chains with Threatening Roar.

Verz Jou-sama sets Mirror Force and ends.

Hana's turn:

Hana has Constellar Leonis, Constellar Star Chart, Constellar Algiedi, Xyz Reborn, and Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon as her opening hand. She draws Constellar Sheratan.

Hana normal summons Leonis and uses his effect to normal summon Sheratan. Sheratan's effect lets Hana add Constellar Kaus to her hand. She then activates Constellar Star Chart and follows by overlaying Sheratan with Leonis to Xyz summon Constellar Hyades; Hana draws Negate Attack from Star Chart. She then activates Hyades' effect, detaching Sheratan and forcing all of Verz Jou-sama's monster to face-up Defense Position. She then overlays Hyades to Xyz summon Constellar Ptolemy M7.

Hana attacks Bahamut with M7. Verz Jou-sama activates Mirror Force, destroying M7.

Hana sets Xyz Reborn and Negate Attack and then ends.

Doremi and Hana LP (8000) – Verz Jou-sama LP (23500)

Verz Jou-sama's turn:

Verz Jou-sama draws Breakthrough Skill.

Verz Jou-sama activates Cowboy's effect, detaching Goblindbergh to do so; since it was in Defense Position, Doremi and Hana take 800 damage. She then switches all of her monsters to Attack Position. She follows by normal summoning Evilswarm Kerykeion and using its effect, banishing Mandrago and returning Heliotrope to her hand. She then uses Kerykeion's other effect to normal summon it and follows by overlaying Heliotrope with Kerykeion to Xyz summon Evilswarm Ophion. She activates Ophion's effect, detaching Heliotrope to add Infestation Pandemic to her hand.

Verz Jou-sama attacks Hana and Doremi directly. Hana activates Negate Attack, stopping the barrage and ending the Battle Phase.

Verz Jou-sama sets Infestation Pandemic and ends.

Doremi's turn:

Doremi draws Swords of Revealing Light.

Doremi activates Swords of Revealing Light. She then sets Card Destruction and ends.

Verz Jou-sama draws Nordic Relic Laeveteinn. She sets it and Breakthrough Skill and then ends.

Hana's turn:

Hana draws Sinister Shield.

Hana normal summons Algiedi and uses her effect to special summon Kaus. She then uses Kaus' effect twice to make both Lv5. She follows by overlaying them to Xyz summon Constellar Pleiades. Star Chart activates, letting Hana draw Xyz Reborn. She then activates Pleiades' effect, detaching Kaus and returning Safe Zone to Verz Jou-sama's hand; since it left the field, Master Key Beetle is destroyed.

Hana attacks Gagaga Cowboy with Pleiades destroying him. Since it was destroyed by battle, Verz Jou-sama can activate Laevateinn, destroying Pleiades.

Hana sets Sinister Shield and activates Card Destruction, forcing herself and Verz Jou-sama to discard their hands and draw cards equal to the number discarded.

Verz Jou-sama discards Safe Zone and draws Forbidden Dress. Hana discards Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon and Xyz Reborn and draws Call of the Haunted and Constellar Rasalhague.

Hana sets Call of the Haunted and ends.

Verz Jou-sama's turn:

Verz Jou-sama draws Ancient Leaf.

Verz Jou-sama activates Ancient Leaf, paying 2000 LP and drawing Reinforcement of the Army and Evilswarm Kerykeion. She then activates Reinforcement and uses it to add another Castor to her hand. She follows by normal summoning it and using its effect to normal summon Kerykeion. She follows with Ophion's effect, detaching Kerykeion and adding another Infestation Pandemic to her hand. She then uses Kerykeion's effect, banishing Mandrago from her graveyard to return Heliotrope to her hand. She then normal summons Heliotrope using Kerykeion's second effect.

Verz Jou-sama overlays Castor, Kerykeion, and Heliotrope to Xyz summon Evilswarm Ouroboros. She activates Ouroboros' effect, detaching Kerykeion and forcing Hana to discard Rasalhague.

Verz Jou-sama ends. During her End Phase, Hana activates Call of the Haunted and uses it to revive Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon

Doremi's turn:

Doremi draws Gagagarevenge.

Doremi activates Hana's set Xyz Reborn and uses it to revive her Hyades; Star Chart lets Doremi draw Tour Guide from the Underworld. She summons her and uses her effect to special summon another from her deck. She overlays both Tour Guides to Xyz summon Temtempo the Percussion Djinn. She activates his effect, detaching an Xyz material to force Bahamut to detach its last one.

Doremi attacks Ouroboros with Galaxy-Eyes. During the Battle Step, she banishes Galaxy-Eyes and Ouroboros, forcing a replay. At the end of the Battle Phase, both return to the field and Galaxy-Eyes gains 500 ATK for each Xyz material Ouroboros had when it was banished.

Doremi sets Gagagarevenge and ends.

Verz Jou-sama's turn:

Verz Jou-sama draws Evilswarm Thunderbird.

Verz Jou-sama activates her set Infestation Pandemic.

Verz Jou-sama attacks Doremi's Temtempo with Ouroboros. Doremi activates Hana's set Sinister Shield and equips it to Temtempo; Temtempo is not destroyed and all battle damage is nulled. Verz Jou-sama attacks Temtempo with Ophion; the damage is again nulled but Temtempo is destroyed. She then attacks Hyades with Bahamut, destroying it.

Verz Jou-sama sets her second Infestation Pandemic and ends. At this time, Doremi's Swords of Revealing Light are destroyed.

Hana's turn:

Hana draws Necro Gardna.

Hana activates Doremi's set Gagagarevenge and uses it to revive Gagaga Magician. She then uses his effect to make him Lv8. She follows by overlaying both to Xyz summon Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon; it gets a 3000 ATK boost from Gagagarevenge.

Hana enters her battle phase and activates Tachyon's effect, detaching Magician and negating the effects of all other monsters on the field. However, she chooses not to attack.

Hana sets Necro Gardna and ends.

Doremi and Hana LP (6750) – Verz Jou-sama LP (20500)

Verz Jou-sama's turn:

Verz Jou-sama draws Dark Hole.

Verz Jou-sama activates Dark Hole and chains with Pandemic; all monsters other than her Lswarm monsters are destroyed.

Hana is unable to continue at this point, so it becomes a one-on-one handicap duel. All cards Hana previously played and that are in the graveyard can be used by Doremi.

Doremi activates Pot of Avarice, returning Cowboy, Temtempo, M7, Algiedi, and Kaus to her deck and using DESTINNY DRAW to get Magic Planter and Summoner Monk. She activates Magic Planter, sending Call of the Haunted to the graveyard and drawing Kagetokage and Big Burn. She then normal summons Summoner Monk and uses Kagetokage's effect to special summon it. She follows with Monk's effect, discarding Pot of Duality to special summon Star Drawing.

Doremi overlays Monk, Kagetokage, and Drawing to xyz summon Vylon Disigma; Doremi draws Solar Wind Jammer from Drawing's effect. She then activates Disigma' effect, detaching Kagetokage to equip Bahamut to it.

Doremi sets Big Burn and ends.

Verz Jou-sama's turn:

Verz Jou-sama draws Monster Reborn.

Verz Jou-sama activates Monster Reborn and uses it to revive Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon. Doremi chains with Big Burn, banishing all monsters from both graveyards, including Tachyon Dragon.

Verz Jou-sama switches Ophion and Ouroboros to Defense Position and ends.

Doremi's turn:

Doremi draws Enemy Controller.

Doremi activates Enemy Controller and switches Ophion to Attack Position. She then uses Disigma's effect, detaching Drawing to equip Ophion to it.

Doremi ends.

Verz Jou-sama draws Allure of Darkness. She passes.

Doremi's turn:

Doremi draws Return from the Different Dimension. She sets it and ends.

Verz Jou-sama sets Safe Zone and ends.

Doremi's turn:

Doremi draws Foolish burial.

Doremi activates Foolish Burial and uses it to send A/D Changer to the graveyard. She then banishes it to force Ouroboros to Attack Position. She then activates Return from the Different Dimension, halving her LP to special summon Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon, Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon, Constellar Pleiades, and Constellar Hyades. She follows by overlaying Hyades to Xyz summon M7. She then activates Disigma's effect, detaching Summoner Monk to equip Ouroboros to it.

Jou-sama breaks free from the Verz's control at this point but is unable to bring herself to surrender.

Doremi attacks her directly with her monsters.

Jou-sama's Corrupted Super Witch Form breaks at this point and she surrenders.
