King Uther tracks Balinor to Ealdor to find his newborn son and ailing wife. Uther takes the child for his own and hides Merlin's true parentage. What will happen when the truth is revealed? Will Merlin stand beside Arthur and become Camelot's protector, or will he become her greatest threat?

This is a continuation Fic. Although Magic is legal, Merlin has been hunted out of Camelot. He's lost his way after Arthur's death and attempts to kill the young dragon "Aithusa." He's an enemy of both Camelot and the Druid people he betrayed when he killed Morgana.

Upon awakening in a strange castle with no memory of the previous week, Arthur learns that Merlin had poisoned him, and that he had killed him for the betrayal. Heartbroken and confused, Arthur grapples with guilt, grief, and horror as he tries to understand what happened. Little does he know, the story is a mere ruse to conquer Camelot. Merlin and a version of Morgana, who was told by the warlock about the truth of his identity, help free as many sorcerers as they can.

When Leon notices that Mordred habitually invokes the name of Emrys, a god Leon has never heard of before, he asks Mordred to tell him about him.

Merlin's heart had near stopped upon hearing Arthur's words. A sudden warmth flooding him, filling his very being with an unexpected hope at what the future could look like. One where magic was favoured, not feared... That hope didn't last long. (Set in s02e08. Merlin is thanked for being a trusted ally against magic.)

"Is there any tea on this spaceship?" - After getting a distress beacon from an unknown spacecraft, Merlin picks up three new passengers and immediately regrets it.
