I've hit a block with the movie coming out. I am very excited but I feel like I can't write anything because the story isn't over yet. So this one was half way done with the news of the movie came out, and I made myself sit down and work on it. I am not happy with how it turned out, I had envisioned making it more like the music video (which if you haven't seen please watch it). Maybe I'll rewrite it at some point.

Tonight I kinda get the feeling,
My girl is up to something,
Something that is no good.
She said she only had a meeting,
But she is dressed for something,
Something that is no good.
Now I'm not saying that she's cheating,
But seeing is believing,
Can't believe it,
What I'm seeing when I stepped inside.

She's so wasted,
Acting crazy,
Making a scene,
Like it's her birthday.
Drinking champagne,
Going insane,
Falling on me,
Like it's her birthday.

Eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh.
This ain't the night I thought it'd be.
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
And she ain't shy, apparently.
Eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh.
Cause she's in the crowd and everybody sings.
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
Like it's her birthday.

She turns and says don't be surprised,
It's gonna be a good night,
A good, good night.
She's showing me a different side,
One I've never seen before,
That I ignore.

Cause when I'm up she's all about me,
When I'm down,
She stays around me,
Now I know I'm one and only,
So I might as well enjoy the ride.

Like it's her birthday.
Like it's her birthday.
Like it's her birthday.
Like it's her birthday.

She's so wasted,
Acting crazy,
Making a scene,
Like it's her birthday.
Drinking champagne,
Going insane,
Falling on me,
Like it's her birthday.

Eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh.
This ain't the night I thought it'd be.
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
And she ain't shy, apparently.
Eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh.
Cause she's in the crowd and everybody sings.
Like it's her birthday.

"It's my birthday." Mac whispered, to Veronica as they walked behind Logan and Dick.

"Yeah, tomorrow." Veronica nodded. "We're going to dinner, remember? You made a request that we don't do anything big."

"No, I mean my real birthday." Mac gave her the look, so she would understand what she was talking about.

"Oh, right." Veronica nodded after a second, slowing her pace so they would fall even farther behind the boys in front of them.

"This is going to sound ridiculous, and feel free to say no, because I don't even know what I am asking." Mac rambled.

"Yes." Veronica said before Mac even asked.

"You don't know what I am going to say." Mac stated.

"I don't need to know." Veronica smiled at her friend.

"I want to celebrate it, like the way I would if I was raised as Madison Sinclair, instead of boring Cindy Mackenzie."

"There is nothing boring about Cindy Mackenzie." Veronica told her. "But yes."

"But I don't want to tell anyone." Mac said looking worriedly at the boys in front of them who hadn't noticed they were now walking alone.

"Not a problem. I can channel my inner party girl, and we will do this." Veronica smiled. "Just tell Dick that you've got to study, or have a meeting about some computer thing. He wouldn't even blink twice if you start using computer terms."

"Thanks Bond." Mac smiled.

"Hey." Dick shouted. "You two coming or what?"

"Don't mention it." Veronica said before they started walking again. "Dick, don' rush us."

"Yeah, Ronnie only comes when she's good and ready." Logan wiggled his eyebrows.

"I'm working a case tonight." Veronica said as she came out of the bedroom she currently shared with Logan. "So don't even question the outfit." She pointed a finger at him.

"Wow." Logan said taking in the sight of his girlfriend. It wasn't a rare occasion that Veronica dressed up, but it was a rare occasion that she channeled what he called her inner Lilly. "You look hot babe."

"I know." Veronica smirked sitting down to strap her feet into the heels she was going to wear. "I'll probably be out late tonight, so don't worry unless I'm not back by morning."

"What case is this for?" Logan asked. When they had gotten back together almost two years ago, she had promised to be more open with him about what she was doing, if he would not over react or try to force his beliefs about her safety on her.

"Just a normal figure out what they are hiding case." Veronica smiled at him, leaning over to kiss him from his position on the couch, the xbox controller in his hands. "When it's official closed, I'll tell you all about it." She knew that it was stretching the truth, so it wasn't a lie, but it still didn't sit well with her. Things between them had been going so well, she didn't want to ruin them. "I'll text you."

"Okay, bye." Logan nodded before she left, meeting Mac downstairs in the lobby area of their apartment building.

"I don't think Dick believed me." Mac sighed.

"Why wouldn't he believe you?" Veronica asked.

"Because he came over as I was getting ready. I was almost ready to call you and call the whole thing off." She sighed as she watched Veronica wave down a taxi.

"Don't worry about it. Tonight we're going to live." She beamed handing her friend a bright shade of red lip stick. "We are not going to be yellow cotton, but red silk." She heart tugged at the thought of Lilly before she laughed.

"What?" Logan asked picking up the phone.

"Is Veronica there?" Dick asked.

"Dick?"

"Yeah, can I talk to her?" Dick asked.

"She's not here man, she's out on some case." Logan sighed pressing play on his game. "You wanna come and play xbox, or you got plans with Mac?"

"Dude, that's the thing." Dick told him. "I went to go see her, and she was all dressed up, like a girl."

"She is a girl Dick. I thought you knew this."

"No, I mean like a girl girl. She was wearing these tight ass jeans that I didn't even know she owned, and this top that made her boobs look huge. Plus make up. My Mackie never dresses like that."

"What'd she say she was doing?"

"She said she had a meeting with some guy on campus about computer stuff."

"Man, Veronica left here almost the same way, but she said she was working on some case."

"You think she's cheating on me?"

"No, I think we got lied to by our girlfriends." Logan sighed shaking his head, feeling the anger set in.

"Nah, man, Mac wouldn't lie to me, unless Veronica made her. This is all your girlfriends fault!" Dick told him over the phone. "Man, she's stepping out on me."

"Calm down Dick, I'll check Veronica's phone in a few minutes, find out where they went, then we can go see for ourselves what they're doing." He didn't like the idea of having to lojack her phone, but he also didn't like the many scenarios that ran through his head at the thought of her lying to him.

There was something nice about throwing all their ambitions out the window, and letting their hair down for the night. Veronica was sure that she had never seen Mac this relaxed or drunk before. She was dancing with some guy, smiling. Although she was sure that if she had grown up as Madison Sinclair she wouldn't even act like this.

"He's hot." Mac laughed falling into Veronica's arms, causing her friend to giggle as well.

"You're hot." Veronica told her. "Here Miss Sinclair, shots for your birthday!" Veronica announced handing her the little glass.

"To me." Mac laughed before taking it, and slamming the glass back down on the table. She quickly downed the water in the second shot glass that was handed to her. "Whiskey makes me frisky!" she laughed.

When the bar bouncer at the door had asked for their IDs Veronica supplied them, although they were both over the age of 21, she did hand him one fake it. It read Madison Sinclair, but showed a picture of Mac. She thought that it was only fitting, since tonight she was celebrating her real birth.

"Whiskey makes you a lot of things." Veronica laughed before taking her friends hand and leading her back out to dance.

Logan was stunned to say the least when they pulled up to the club. It wasn't something that he could picture his girlfriend in, although it did explain the little dress she was wearing when she left.

"What the hell man!" Dick said pointing at the entrance. "My Mackie wouldn't go here."

"Yeah, well apparently Veronica is here." Logan sighed, pulling away to find a parking spot. When he thought about Veronica with someone else, all he saw was red. In his head he has to keep telling himself that this must be for a case, she needed Mac's helps on a case.

It didn't take the two boys long to make their way into the club, Logan's name getting them instant access to bypass all those waiting in line.

Once inside it didn't take them long either to spot the girls they were searching for.

"That's not my Mackie!" Dick glared over at Logan.

Mac was currently in the middle of the dance floor, a bottle of champagne in one hand, her other resting on the shoulder of one of the guys they were dancing with. Veronica right behind her was in nearly the same position, but was holding a glass instead.

"Come on." Logan shook his head, trying to not allow his mind to make assumptions.

Veronica was the first to spot them, side stepping the guy with his hand on her hip, hoping to block them long enough to not ruin Mac's birthday.

"Move Ronnie." Dick said shaking his head at her, yelling over the music.

"You don't need to lie to me to have a girls night out." Logan told her once the couple was outside of the club. He was trying to keep from fuming, but he was sure she could read it clearly all over his face.

"I didn't lie to you. This is part of a case." She rolled her eyes, using his arms to keep her up straight. She shouldn't have done those last two shots of whiskey with Mac, she could feel it in her eyes, she was off balance, and definitely beyond drunk.

"What kind of case has you and your best friend out at a club, drunk!" he shouted, looking away from her.

"If I tell you, will you promise to keep Dick from ruining Mac's buzz, and not yell at me?" she asked softly, resting her head on his chest. "You smell good." She smiled up at him.

"It's Mac's birthday, her real birthday." Veronica told him, looking at him with a serious expression. "She would kill me if she knew I was telling you this, but she just wanted to celebrate the way she would have, if she was raised by her actual family."

"God, how much have you drank?" Logan rolled his eyes, his arms going around her, to hug her to him.

"I'm serious." Veronica said her words muffled by his shirt. "Don't let Dick ruin this for her. She needs tonight."

"Fine, but we're sticking with you," Logan figured when she was sober he would get real answers out of her, ones that made sense.

"Good, now I want to dance with you."

The night continued and both Mac and Veronica seemed to get more and more intoxicated as the moon rose in the sky. There were several times that Logan had to hold Dick back when Mac was out dancing on the floor with Veronica.

"Trust me man." Logan nodded at him, "They are just blowing off some steam."

"Yeah, well that guy isn't gonna be blowing anything if he takes another step." Dick said, glaring at the males that were too close to his girl.

"Then go dance with her." Logan said pushing him towards the girls.

Dick didn't have to be told twice, he quickly placed himself between the males and Mac. He's hands on his hips made her instantly turn around and smile at him. There was something about the way she was looking at him that surprised him.

"Don't be surprised Dick, it's going to be a good night." She laughed in his ear so her words could be heard over the music.

Veronica had surprised the whole group a few minutes later when she appeared with two bottles of champagne.

"This is for you!" Veronica shouted popping the cork and making everyone around them laugh when she shrieked at it foamed over. The two girls didn't even bother with glasses as they passed the bottle back and forth, Logan becoming the keeper of the unopened bottle.

"Here's to me, to tonight, and to birthdays!" Mac laughed before pouring some of the bubbly into Veronica's mouth.
