Gradually the laughter subsided and the trio paid for five Strawberry Pancakes, promptly leaving the mall with the occasional burst of laughter coming from either of the two girls.
Chapter 6: Strawberries and Blueberries
The next day was, well lets just say, hectic.
There poor Jellal stood, clad in women's undergarments, attempting to shove overfilled water balloons in his D shells.
"Jellia, did you put your balloons on?" Levy questioned, rushing to iron out the imperfections of the dress.
"Yeah I-"
"Jellia, we didn't get cherry number five for no reason!" Erza screamed shoving the lipstick in Jellal's face and rushing back into the kitchen to check on the eggs she was cooking.
"But I don't wan-"
"Jellia, I don't smell that peach paradise!" Levy teased misting the poor fugitive with peach extract.
He gave out a few coughs, gasping for non-fruity air.
"Jellia hurry up we need to get you into that wonderful dress!" Exclaimed Erza, holding the now ironed out dress.
"Shouldn't we ea-"
"Oh then we should do your make-up!" Levy suggested
"Guys I'm hu-"
"Let's get this bad boy on!" Erza said, pulling the dress over Jellal's head and smoothing it out.
"Wait, Erza, don't we need to gel her hair so we can put on the wig?" Levy asked.
"The wig! Right!" Erza grabbed a can of gel and plastered Jellal's hair into a smooth hard dome.
"Hmm. We can't put the wig on until her hair is dry." Erza stated.
"Then that gives us time to go en-"
"Oh, let's do her make-up!" Levy improvised.
"Ignored again." Jellal muttered to himself.
Levy went about applying foundation and concealer as Erza worked diligently to put the lipstick on.
"How am I supposed to eat with lipstick on!"
"You'll get used to it, but stop moving. I'm trying to put blush on your checks." Erza fussed.
"You've worn lipstick, Erza?" Jellal asked, somewhat shocked.
"Well, no. I just made an educated guess." She trailed off with a light blush.
"Well I think you would look cuter with cherry number 5!" He smirked trying to imagine Erza wearing lipstick. As he did so, he didn't notice Erza's blush deepening.
Levy giggled at their actions giving her best friend a nudge in the ribcage.
"Hey, Erza I think I'll go eat while you finish up with Jellia." Levy said while walking off to the kitchen, giggling lightly.
"Wait, Levy!" Erza called after her friend, who had already slammed the door to her bedroom. Levy I'm gonna kill you when this is all over! Are you trying to set me up with him?
"Erza, why are you glaring at the door?" Jellal asked with a rather peculiar look on his face.
"Oh sorry. I was just plotting on how to kill Levy." She smiled a sadistic smile. "But let's not worry about that right now. We've got to start applying the foundation and concealer if we wanna finish."
"Yeah." He muttered absentmindedly, not paying attention to what she was 's mind ended up straying off course, he was dreaming of those delicious, mouth watering, scrumptious, delectable, little strawberry cupcakes. Those scarlet red... He thought and froze suddenly. Scarlet? His eyes zeroed on Erza's hair. A small barely noticeable blush crept onto his cheeks as his stomach churned uncontrollably, he began to furiously think of dead puppies, trying to subdue the alien feeling.
"Okay! That's it Jellia. We're done. What do you want to eat? Strawberry cupcakes right?" Erza questioned after dabbing a bit of powder on the blue-haired man's face.
"Actually, I'm not feeling the strawberry right now?" Erza paused and tapped her fingers on her chin.
"Well I ordered a strawberry and blueberry cake this morning since Lucy insisted that those flavors meshed well." She stopped talking for a moment and idly kicked the ground with her shoes, "We could share it?"
Jellal looked taken aback however he quickly regained his composure and nodded a quick affirmative and the two strolled out to pick up the cake, yet unbeknownst to them, a third person was following them.
"Mario!" Erza yelled, a plump italian man waddled to the front and greeted Erza, "Can I have that blueberry and strawberry cake I ordered this morning?" He grinned and slowly walked to the back room, soon he came out carrying a huge angel white cake. Mario handed her the cake and seemed to somewhat skip back to behind the counter. Jellal dismissed the weird behavior and simply started back to Erza's apartment, the third figure still following their every moment.
Klang. Klang. Klang. Klang. Klang. As the two walked into the apartment, the noises reverberated across the room.
Before the duo turned the corner Erza stopped. She handed the cake to Jellal and re-equipped a sword. The two crept around the corner as Erza yelled, "WHO GOES THERE!" pointing her sword towards a blue haired girl.
"AHHH! Erza you nearly gave me a hard attack there." Screamed the girl turning around.
Erza lowered her blade as it dissolved into air. "Oh, Levy, It's just you. Then what was all of that noise?"
Levy smirked. "Oh you'll find out! I'm going back home!" With that she pranced out of the apartment.
"What was that about?"Jellal asked while sweatdropping.
"I'm not really sure..." She trailed off before starting up again, "I'm not really feeling eggs anymore, lets just eat the cake." Jellal agreed and Erza went to get some forks and a knife.
Erza opened the kitchen drawer and screeched, "LEVY! GET BACK HERE! LET ME KILL YOU!"
