Epilogue

I sighed as I sat down in my first period class. I tugged on my short uniform skirt and huffed frustrated. Seriously this a school and the point of wearing uniforms is to not be made fun of because of what we wear (still happens) and to keep from dressing inappropriately.

But they went and picked one of the shortest skirts possible.

I sat down in the only empty seat and it was next to this girl with tan skin, amber eyes and golden brown hair. She turned to me as soon as I had sat down. "Hi I'm Lisa" she said giving me a dazzling smile.

Wow, maybe all Californians are gorgeous. Just before I walked into this class I saw about 2 cute guys in the hallway.

"I'm Artemis…but you probably already knew that since I just introduced myself" I said.

She lightly laughed. "Are you new to this part of Cali?" she asked.

"Well I'm new to every part of…Cali" I said.

"Cool then maybe my friends and I can show you around…of this part anyways" she said with a chuckle.

"You don't have to" I said.

"But I want to" she replied. "And you can sit with us at lunch" she said.

"Ms. Reiner I suggest you stop talking to our new student before you get her into trouble" Mrs. Akeley said.

Lisa huffed. "Sorry Mrs. A" she said.

By the time lunch had come around I had met quite a few people. Turns out that people in California aren't as snobby as I thought they'd be. The only problem was that I couldn't find the lunchroom. I had been wondering the halls for 5 minutes now. Lisa probably thought I ditched her or something.

I spotted someone and lightly tapped their shoulder. "Do you know where the lunchroom is?" I asked.

The boy turned around to see tall boy smiling and looking down at me. He had dark brown hair and crystal blue eyes. I also noticed the one dimple that he had.

"I was heading there right now, want to come with me?" he asked.

I nodded and soon we were walking down the hallway to the lunchroom.

"So you're new here right?" he asked.

I rolled my eyes. "What gave it away? The way I keep tugged on my uniform or the fact that I asked you were the lunchroom was?" I asked sarcastically.

He chuckled. "No, it's because I'm pretty sure I've never seen you here before…but those kind of gave it away too" he said.

"What's your name?" he asked.

"Artemis. Yours?" I said.

"Dylan" he replied.

We arrived to the lunchroom.

"Thanks for the help Dylan" I said.

"Do you want to sit with me and my friends?" he asked.

"I was already going to-"

"Artemis! Dylan!" Lisa called from a table.

We both walked over to see that other people were already there too.

"I see you two have met already" Lisa observed.

"Uh…yeah…I asked him for direction to…here" I said.

"Well sit so I can introduce everyone!" Lisa said.

I sat down next to Lisa and Dylan sat down next to me.

She pointed to two girls. "Those two are Ashley and Jenna Carson. They're twins" she stated. Ashley and Jenna were really pretty. They had dirty blonde hair and green eyes but one of them had slightly darker eyes.

"I'm Ashley and that's Jenna" the one with the lighter eyes said.

I smiled. "Nice to meet you guys" I said.

"That's Matt" she said pointing to a guy wearing glasses. He had black hair with light brown eyes and looked pretty tall.

He smiled and waved. "Hey" I replied.

"Hi" he said.

"So that's us. Dylan is kind of the jock, Ashley and Jenna are the artistic ones, Matt is the dorky cute one that everyone likes and I'm the outgoing one" Lisa said.

"And also the most talkative" Jenna mumbled.

The rest of lunch-and the school day-was amazing and I couldn't wait to get home and tell everyone how it was.

I walked through the door of my new house to see my parents were already home. "Hey guys" I said with a smile.

Mom turned to me. "Looks like you've have a good day today" she said.

I nodded and sat down on the couch next to dad.

"A lot better than I thought it would have been. I've already met some kids and everyone is actually nice and talks to everyone even if they are "nerds" because everyone at the school is gorgeous" I explained.

Dad chuckled. "Glad to know you had a great day" he said.

"I'm going to go upstairs and do my homework" I said.

I walked up the long stairs and to the door of my new room. It was pretty empty, the only thing I had unpacked were my clothes and bathroom stuff. The walls were a plain white color and I was going to change that soon and boxes were stacked up all over the room.

I sat down on my bed and grabbed my laptop. I had to call everyone.

"Artemis!"

"We already miss you!"

"How's your new school?"

I laughed. "I miss you guys too! And the new school is great! I've already met new people and everyone is nice and not snotty" I said.

"When will you visit?" Megan asked.

I shrugged. I honestly hadn't thought about that. "I don't know…" I said.

"Come visit soon!" Conner said.

I smiled. "Of course" I said.

I continued to talk to the guys until I had to go. Now I had really missed them.

The Weekend…

.

.

.

I walked downstairs ready to be picked up by my new friends. The past week had been really fun and I couldn't wait to see LA. Since it was hot (big surprise!) I wore a pair of dark blue shorts, white loose crop top and black converse.

The doorbell soon rang.

"Mom that's them! I'll be back before it gets late!" I said before running to the door.

The day had been amazing! I had seen so many cool places in Los Angeles that I would be going to more and had a great time with everyone.

I could already tell that Lisa liked Matt and they would be cute together honestly. We took pictures everywhere of everything!

And I think that Dylan might like me.

And even better I had forgotten about all the bad things that had happened and just had fun.
