The sound of the water splashing against the rocks managed to make Luca wake up with a startled expression, letting out shaky breaths and having cold sweat on her head. She looks around her. The sky is dark, a campfire is made and she's at her home, the one she and Gardy made.

"Gardy!" Her mind screams with alert but when she tries to stand up, she groans in pain, lying back down as the pain on her back ebbed away slowly.

"I see you're awake, Luca."

Her eyes widen and she turns her head to the campfire. A silhouette stands up from behind it and walks towards her, reaching out a claw towards her. Luca tries to think whose voice it is but her head keeps having this painful ache whenever she tries to remember this voice.

"Luca, don't think…Calm down, I'm not an enemy…" When the claw is placed on her head, her eyes widen at what she sees…

A Zoroark…And not just a normal one.

His fur is black with his mane purple, with the tip of it brown, the band on his hair is orange, his claws are purple and the fur of his chest is dark brown. (A/N: The link to his appearance is in my profile. Sorry for the bad description T_T)

"W-Who…Who are you? And how do you know my name?" Luca asks with a frighten tone, like a shy little girl asking a person for help. The Zoroark chuckles lightly, making the poor girl blush.

"My name is Zora…It's nice to see you…" He smiles softly but it's almost as if he's holding something back… "Your friend told me your name…Is your head alright?" He rubs her head softly, making her blush even more and hums softly in content.

"Y-Yea…It's fine." When she notices what she's doing, she clears her throat and shakes her head, making the Zoroark remove his paw. "Where is my teammate?" Luca tries to give a stern look but Zora seems unaffected and only sit down next to her, letting the campfire burn in front of them.

"Gardeline is out with Lade. They went to get some supplies." His eyes look so enchanting to Luca. Not because of how sparkling they look…

Instead, it's as orange as the band on his hair.

"…Have we…met before?" Zora's eyes soon shows surprise but Luca quickly explains. "I-I'm just asking! Y-You're…You're not like the other Zoroark I have seen…Not even a shiny looks like you…"

Zora stares quietly at Luca for a moment before looking at the campfire and sigh what seems like…disappointment.

"I see…So you were thinking like that…" Luca could have sworn a stabbing pain has appeared in her heart. "Well…We did meet before…But it seems you have forgotten about me…" Luca's ears droop in guilt, looking at the sadness in his eyes. "I guess it's okay if you forgotten about me…After all, you had a rough memory wipe."

"T-Then…were you a…a human?" Zora turns to her and nods softly.

"Yes. I was. But…" His eyes trail down to the ground, avoiding her stare. "I wasn't the only one…You were too…Along with others."

"Others?"

"Yes. There were 10 people who changed into a Pokemon and got transported into the world. Unfortunately, out of those 10, there are 5 who turned into a strange-colored Pokemon. For example…" Zora pokes at his chest. "Me…and…" His face leans to hers, whispering softly. "And…you…" Luca suddenly blush dark red but Zora's eyes widen as he clears his throat, a small tint of pink appearing on his cheeks as he pull back. "Ahem…Sorry…" Luca nods a little, her mouth tight shut. "Anyways…Out of the 10 Pokémons, one of them is a traitor. He's a colored Pokémon, I heard but unfortunately, I don't know what kind of Pokemon he is. It could be a Jigglypuff or a Bonsly…I don't know. But you must be cautious." He looks at her like a parent scolding a child and, honestly, this caused Luca to wonder…

Does he know who she was? This is getting confusing…She should calm down with her necklace. It always calms her down for some rea-

"…Hey…Wait a minute…" Luca raises her head, groping around her neck. "…W-W-Where is it?" Her eyes widen and suddenly, she springs up, completely healed as she looks around. "WHERE IS IT?!" Her eyes suddenly became alert and full of panic. Zora could only stare in shock as he watches Luca go on a mini rampage before he reaches over to his backpack, rummaging inside it and taking out a pendant. A heart-shaped pendant.

"…Is this what you were looking for?" Zora asks in a hesitated tone, earning Luca's attention before her attention went to the necklace. Her eyes suddenly shine with brightness as she rushes over to him, gripping onto the pendant and holding it close to her.

"Oh Arceus! I thought I lost it…My precious treasure…" Zora stares at Luca, watching her cherishing her necklace, her eyes filled with happy relief.

"…Luca…" She raises her head, staring at the bright orange eyes. "…Luca…" His voice suddenly sounds odd. Before she knows it, she has been pulled into a deep embrace, with his snout nuzzles her neck. "Luca…" his grips tighten as his body starts to shake. Luca, confused, could only pant his back, not knowing what he has worked up about.

"Wait a minute…" The dream she had…About a boy who saved her…Then again, there were 10 people who turned into Pokémons…What if Zora is a stalker? Or maybe he's someone who was a suitor of hers? "What the hell am I thinking? There's no way I'm that popular."

"Luca…You really kept your promise…" Her eyes widen, staring at the smiling Zoroark, his eyes close and his face holding a peaceful, content look…

It made Luca's heart beat louder and louder…

"This feeling…" It was all too familiar…And yet…If she tries to remember her past, she'll end up having headaches… "Urk!" She grips the side of her head, getting Zora's attention to wake up and notices her pain expression.

"L-Luca, are you alright?" She nods softly, panting a little as her vision went blurry a bit.

The pain ebbed away but the intense feeling in her heart is still there…

"We're back!" The voices of Gardy and Lade reach the ears of the duo, causing Zora to sit by the campfire and Luca lying on her bed with her back towards Zora. "Eh? Zora, is Luca awake yet?" The poor Zoroark curse mentally for the misfortune of being the one to answer that dreadful question and turns to Gardy, putting on a reassure smile.

"Ah…Luca is awake but she still feel a bit unwell. I told her to stop thinking and let the pain go away." Lade raises a brow at his nervous friend but said nothing and only makes a small, amusing smile.

"Well, Zora, since we're gonna stay in this town, we might as well find a place to stay." Luca's ears twitches while Gardy turns to Lade.

"You mean, you're gonna stay in this town?" Lade nods and chuckles.

"Yeah. We don't have homes of our own, you see. We're a travelling rescue team. I met Zora in a beach somewhere. Lucky too, since he almost got his ass kicked by a group of Mankeys"

"I told you; I used up too much of my energy!" Zora glares half-heartedly at his best friend, making Gardy giggles softly.

"I'm glad there's someone who's from Luca's world…She was very lonely." Said Pokémon flinches at the statement. Zora and Lade looks at Gardy.

"…Lonely?" Zora asks quietly, Gardy nodding his question.

"Yes. You see…Luca and I met at the beach of this town. Being quite different, she was…mistreated…"

The sound of leaves caused by Luca sitting up made Zora looks at her. She stares at the sea, watching sway back and forth as the memory of her outcast past fills her head…

"Ekk! It's a monster!"

"Everyone spread rumors about her being dangerous…Even I thought so…"

"THERE SHE IS!"

"IT'S THE MONSTER!"

"But then…When my dad tried to make me enter the guild, I ran off, scared. I end up going to the beach and that's when it started it all. Right, Luca?" Gardy turns to the Lucario, who's smiling at the sea that's illuminated the moonlight.

"…Yea…" She laughs softly and smirks at Gardy. "As I recall, you thought I was gonna make a 'Ralts Stew'." Gardy blushes softly and pouts.

"That was an accident!" Lade laughs and sits next to Zora, staring at Gardy, who sat next to Luca.

"So what happened after that?"

Gardy and Luca start telling the story from how they met to how they become a family. When they're done, Zora nods softly and chuckles.

"Well, I'm glad Luca manage to have a friend. She was a loner in our time." Gardy blinks, with Luca tilting her head a little.

"Really?" Luca asks, making Zora nod to the question.

"The only friend you had was a stuffed Zorua doll…Now what was the name…" Zora hums in thought, rubbing his chin in thought.

Ting!

Luca's eyes widen in shock once she hears the sound.

"You're so fluffy and cute! What should I name you…I know! I'll call you…"

"Zozo…" Luca mumbles quietly, making Zora stares at her in surprise.

"…That's right..." Luca stares at Zora and scratches her head. Her head isn't aching in pain, that's good. But why can she remember it? Wasn't she supposed to touch something to see her memories?

"I'm surprised you still get visions of your past, Luca." Lade says with awe. Luca could only shrug at his statement before a light bulb seems to appear above her head.

"Wait a minute…Lade, how did you team up Zora?" The two males look at each other before laughing as if Luca just said a funny joke (which is saying something).

"That's a funny story, actually. You see, it happened 10 years ago…"

Okay, I know it's short but I honestly don't want to make you readers waiting anymore. The next chapter will be about Zora and Lade's crazy meeting.
