October 2001

No one was quite sure when it started, but Jasmine was in a fight with Nick. Some thought that it may have had to do with A.J. going into rehab, others assumed that it was over custody issues. The truth was a little a both, despite the fact that Nick was unaware that Jasmine had anything going on with A.J. Before the VMAs, Jasmine had been hooking up with A.J. regularly, without the getting drunk part that they had always used before. MTV wasn't aware of this when they schedule for both Backstreet Boys and Jasmine to appear on TRL the same day. They sat in totally opposite areas of backstage for most of the show, so they were completely unaware that the other was there. When BSB took the stage, Jasmine stormed out and she and Nick started screaming out of one another. AJ had to drag them backstage, so that the public would see as little as possible. By the end of the show, their friends discovered that it had to the with the fact that Jasmine wanted Nick to sign off his parental rights to Marcus. Why she was so adamant on it, no one could really tell.

Two weeks after the VMAs Jasmine was seeing Justin, and NSYNC premiered their new single, "Gone". Not only did Justin write the song, but he basically did all of the vocals. Upon hearing the song, many people said that it sounded like he was really in love with someone, and he totally blew it. Justin kept extremely tight lipped about the origin of "Gone" for about a month until they were on TRL. He admitted that he wrote the song a little over a year before when Jasmine had left him to go on the "Up In Smoke" tour. In March, Joey Fatone had told Justin that Jasmine had another kid besides the twins, and there was a lot of stuff that he didn't know. Right up to Jasmine's recent fight with Nick.

"So have you talked to her about it yet?" Carson Daly asked Justin between songs.

"Yeah, I have," Justin nodded. "It was actually just the other night..."

Justin then flashed back to his conversation with Jasmine. They were on a date, sitting on the beach, watching the sunset.

"Jas..." Justin turned to her, biting his lip.

"Yeah, babe?" Jasmine turned to him with a soft smile.

"A few months ago, Joey told me that you have another kid besides the twins," Justin swallowed visibly, moving closer to her.

Jasmine took a deep breath, looking down for a moment, "I thought that you knew..."

"Honestly, between the time I broke up with you and when you married Nick I have absolutely no idea as to what you were doing, let alone where you were," Justin took her hand, playing with her fingers.

"So you don't know about the time when I was dating Devon Sawa?" Jasmine sighed.

"Nope," Justin shook his head with a shrug.

Jasmine took a deep breath as she paused for a moment, then nodded. "That is where I got the reputation of getting drunk and cheating." She shook her head as she paused again, "jeez, I was only fourteen at the time."

"Really?" Justin laughed softly. "I thought that it was AJ, while you were married."

"Actually... I never cheated on Nick," Jasmine finally looked up, staring Justin straight in the eye. "He was like my second best. I mean... he fell so in love with Marcus, and..."

"Wait, wait..." Justin blinked, trying to take everything in. "Second best to what, and how old is Marcus, anyway?"

"Second best to you, and he's almost seven," Jasmine bit her lip. "Anyway, I didn't even tell Nick until he was two. I felt that it was best not to tell him about it because he was only fourteen at the time, and there was no way he could have possibly understood. That's why I stayed away from you, as well. You were thirteen, and after everything that had happened, I didn't want to try and tell you at the time."

"That's understandable, but you still haven't told me what happened," by this time, both were crying, and Justin held Jasmine close.

"You know how my ex step-father is a pro wrestler?" Jasmine chuckled softly.

"Scott Hall," Justin nodded.

Jasmine went on to proceed to tell him what had happened in the months following their first breakup. "I went nuts after I had Marcus. I felt I could never face you again, so I dropped him off with my mother and left my boyfriend at the time. I wasn't heard from for over a year. I did everything and anything to try and forget you, but I never did." She then paused, shrugging a little, "well, I almost did when I was with Nick. Obviously, that didn't work for very long. It took over a year for me to figure out why you had such an impact on me at such a young age. I came to the assumption that there had to be a reason why I feel the way that I do, despite the fact that I hadn't seen you in six years. So I tracked you down last year, and I believe you know the rest."

After taking everything in, Justin hugged Jasmine tightly, "I wish that I could say that I would've understood, but you were right. I wouldn't have then. I guess that I could say that it really sucks that you went through all of that because of me, but I know that it won't change anything. I wish I could, but we both know that I can't. At the same time... it's not too late for a happy ending."

Jasmine's eyes went wide, "you mean?"

Justin nodded with a smirk, "don't you think it's time I meet my future step-kids?"

Jasmine squeaked, hugging him tightly. "Really?"

"Of course!" Justin grinned widely. "I think that the four of you should start moving in. I did just get a huge new house."

Back to TRL...

"So everything is all good between the two of you?" Carson asked Justin.

"Oh yeah, she and the kids are actually working on moving into my place right now," Justin nodded as the audience cheered for him.

"So are there any wedding plans in the future?" Carson smirked, nudging Justin.

"Well..." Justin chuckled softly. "Not at the moment, anyway. However, when we do, I think that she wants to broadcast it here on MTV when we do."

Since Jasmine's album was on Aftermath Records, it was hip-hop. So her fans wondered if she could sing. The question was brought up on the "Making the Video" episode for the title track to Lance Bass and Joey Fatone's movie, "On the Line".

"Hey Lance..." Joey walked over to his friend with a goofy grin.

"Yeah Joey?" Lance attempted to mimic his goofiness.

"Many of Jas's fans are asking... Can she sing?" Joey looked into the camera for a moment.

"Can she ever!" Lance smiled brightly.

"As a matter of fact, she's on the soundtrack," Joey nodded.

"She is!" Lance nodded. "She's doing a remake of the Paula Abdul song, 'Rush'. She's actually somewhere around here practicing for her recording session."

"Wanna go find her while we have a minute?" Joey bounced a little.

"Sure," Lance shrugged.

It jumps to them finding Jasmine in a corner, working on her pitch for the song.

"Hi Jas!" Joey said gleefully.

"Hi Joey," Jasmine returned mockingly. "Hey Lance," she addressed her other friend, who just waved.

"So we're doing 'Making the Video' and we were just wondering if you would like to show your fans that you can sing," Joey took her hand, helping her off the floor.

"Sure," Jasmine smiled. "I was actually wondering if you could help me figure out how to sing this part." She then went over the line, "I wanna see you, I wanna see you free with me..." twice, once with a wide E, the second with a more sophisticated, rounded E.

"Well personally," Lance started, rolling onto his heels, "I'd say that if you really want to show off your ability, you should go with the more rounded sound. You know... unless you wanted to sound like you know who."

Jasmine tilted her head, scrunching up her face, "good point." She went with the more rounded sound, then compared to the popularity of Jasmine's track, it was almost as if the title track wasn't even a single.

Holiday Season 2001

About a month later, Jasmine began recording her second album, which was a mix of rap and R&B. After selling nearly two million in less than a week, it debuted at number one. NSYNC had decided to take a break for a year around that time to pursue individual projects. Justin took the time to get to know Jasmine's kids, as well as work on their wedding plans for the following summer.

Although Nick protested, Justin was allowed to have the kids while Jasmine was away. He finally settled on visitations when Jasmine convinced him that his children would never call Justin "dad".

Summer wasn't close enough for the deeply in love couple, so they moved the wedding up to mid-January, just before Jasmine went off on her first headlining tour. After waiting patiently to put her own music out, she went with the title "It's My Turn Now" for her album and tour.

Conclusion

Over the next three years, Jasmine made a few more albums and reunited with her little sister, who had hooked up with Aaron Carter, despite the ongoing fights between Jasmine and Nick. Jared got Julie a recording contract in 2003. Also in that year, Jasmine was awarded a controlling share of the WWE for what had happened to her back in 1994. She remained a silent partner for ten years. During that time, she and Justin had two children of their own, Julia Marie and Justin Junior. In 2004, Justin's little brother became the founding member of what would be known as "his generation's NSYNC". Thus proving that the trend would never truly die. They didn't hit it big in America until 2010. Also in 2004 Jamie Lynn Spears came out with her own album, proving that there was some talent in the family. This made her and Julie the "Britney and Christina" of their generation. In late 2013 Jasmine returned to the WWE, joining in on the "Authority" storyline. In an effort to make things appear more serious, she walked out onto the stage during a Stephanie McMahon promo on Monday Night RAW. She stated that things needed to change, and that she was taking "her" company back. She proved to be an even more tyrannical leader than Stephanie and her husband, Triple H, but she provided a much more fun atmosphere for the performers. Everyone loved to hate her, and it showed. The following year, Marcus, now twenty years-old, made his debut on NXT. The longer he stayed with the company, the more active Jasmine became in her new role. She of course eventually became much more likeable over time.

So there it is. I would like to thank everyone who took the time to read this. I know it was rather strange, but as far as fanfiction goes, this was my first. One note that I should make is that I wrote most of the "conclusion" before Zoey 101 became popular, let alone Jamie Lynn had her baby and dropped off the face of the Earth. Please R&R!
