All the years of persistence talking and gabbing about the amazing potter children assured to follow their parents into glory as lions till the end. What a joke, Lily thought as she remember all the years with her family talking about Hogwarts and not just her mum dad and brothers, but granny and granddad, as well as all the cousins extended family that weren't blood family but felt like it. Lily potter the biggest joke of all. The worst part, Lily thought back to was how she really did once upon a time long to be a Gryffindor, when she was little and heard of the amazing common room with the cosy fire, the stories of Draco Malfoy, call aunt Hermione horrendous terms that would now be seen as complete slanders especially to the amazing mind behind the trio. But as she grew older she saw the faults in the Gryffindor qualities, sure you were brave and had courage; but it also meant you were arrogant, pompous and really lack good conversation.
Lily knew she was different, she always knew she'd never fit into somewhere like Gryffindor, sure she had more courage than all of them put together but she was more than courage and bravery, she could think outside the boxes, she exceled at anything and every task she had ever been set. But there was no point dwelling on what the past held because she was in slytherin now and she was proud of the she knew that everyone was shocked and she'd have to face probably some old enemies of her family but that didn't matter because she had broken the chain.
Without realising she walked over and sat next to Scorpius, which was even more shocking to everybody in the Hogwarts hall especially as he hugged her as she sat down. Everyone watched on as if in a dreamlike state. As the finale names were called out she realised at least one member of her family was happy for her, Fred. Despite what everyone thought he was amazingly talented and skilled at almost everything, he even had a talent for divination. No one understood why, but it always lead to a handsome profit at the end of each year, never out of pocket was Fred weasley the second.
Lily rose from her place; she smiled warmly at Scorpius as he nodded mouthing good luck. She strode over to them, the others had gathered from the other tables and she could hear their whispers, she knew it was about her. "Hello, our little snake. Did you know Lily potter, I love you, you always seem to make me a profit and never ask me for a cut" Lily smirked Fred always knew how to defuse a situation "Well dearest cousin of mine that is probably why I am your most favourite cousin, make a lot im guessing by the look on their faces" Fred wore his grin and waved her to move closer to the group.
"Hey guys, how is the feast?" Lily didn't know what else to say "How could you? You've ruin our name. Wait till your parents find out and fraternizing with a malfoy. I knew you weren't like us but you could have at least picked a good house even hufflepuff Is better than those snakes." Rose finished her rant, the others could see the rage building up in Lily's face she was could to make a scene and they knew it, even if Rose had started it.
"HOW DARE YOU, HOW DARE YOU PASS JUDGEMENT ON PEOPLE YOU HAVE MOST PROBABLY NEVER TALKED TO. YOU MAY THINK YOU ARE THE BEES KNEES BUT LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING ROSE, YOU MIGHT THNK YOU ARE HIGH AND MIGHTY QUEEN OF HOGWARTS BUT YOUR NOT, YOUR SNIDE, RUDE, AROGNANT. YOU USE YOUR PARENTS FAME FOR YOUR OWN GAIN AND YOU ARE NOTHING SPECIAL WHAT YOU CAN GET CONSTANT O'S WELL YOUR MUM GOT CONSTANT O'S NOT IN JUST REGULATED CLASSES BUT EVERYTHING WHILST SAVING OU WORLD, I HAVE GOT MORE QUILFICATIONS THAN YOU AND IM ONLY A FIRST YEAR." She took a breath "Don't judge who you have never spoken to, just because of a name, or a history and I think your find your own mother is quiet friendly with the malfoy's as they are her new business parts paying for her research in to blood magic research." Fred walked closer to lily and placed his hand on her back as James went to stand between the two girls. "Look, you're making a scene. Firstly we don't care what house your in Lily even if we don't know or dislike some members. Secondly Rose keep your opinions to yourself we know its hard but you have got to get over the past, because its not yours to hold grudges. Lily welcome to Hogwarts but be careful not all slytherins are welcoming and watch yourself I know you can look after yourself and I am not judging I just want you to be safe." He finished and everyone looked in awe at James he never took the leadership roles it always was up to someone like victorie or teddy. It was a shock but Lily like this side of her brother it suited him.
James waved over scorpius, "Hey scorp, look after her she might never need it but sometimes she doesn't know what she's getting herself into." Everyone around looked on wide eyed as the pair acted as old friends "Sure Jamie, but she is definitely a firecracker." Lily frowned they were so volatile on the train now they were acting as best friends something was going on. "What the hell?" she couldn't stop the words before they left her mouth.
"Well my little lilykins, Scorpius here manage to get me a job in the summer at the law department in the malfoy business, since he was the only guy close to my age and manage to well help me out more than once we talked, I knew you were going to be a slytherin its obvious the way you act, and well I might have acted clueless about your amazing academics but I knew, I just like to keep something's to myself but since everything out in the open, I might as well make this a easy as possible."
"Prefects please guide the first years out of the hall, to their dorms please." McGonagall boomed from the head of the hall time to go finally, all these secrets were making my head hurt.
