"Wait.. So you're telling me this Dashing Ma- No, God came up to you, offered you ice cream and then confessed he wanted more of your company?"

Sipping from her coffee mug Sakura nodded her head in agreement as she sat in silence, indicating for her friend to go on with her consistent babbling.

"Are you sure all he wants is your company? You know …Some coffee, talking, chit-chat whatever you wanna call it. Or does he want you 'company'?"

Clicking her tongue in response Sakura looked at Ino blankly before replying "Ino.. I'm sure he's not some pervert out for a good time. I mean I'm old enough to look after myself now, you saw what kind of things I had to put up with at work and that wasn't exactly all fun and games. Besides…If he does anything fishy I'll call you or the police if need to be."

Her hands warm whilst holding the coffee mug, fiddling with her fingers as they over lapped each other, peoples voices loud and over bearing in the café.

Sighing Ino gave in. "Fine, but if something goes wrong, you must call me first."

"yes mother"

Annoyance was written all over Ino's face "Sakura seriously, call me first if anything happens. I mean it."

Setting down the cup sakura didn't realise throughout listening to her friend babble on about her safety coming first and her lectures as if she were a five year old, She hadn't realised she had finished her coffee. She still didn't feel quiet wide awake yet.

"Oh!" Ino's face lit up with excitement. "I made a few phone calls yesterday for you and my mother rang my yesterday informing me that she was looking for new workers to help out at the flower shop." She explained, watching Sakura intensely waiting for any kind of reaction.

"And what did she say?"

Ino knew Sakura wasn't one for idiocy but sometimes the girl made her wonder.

"Well I asked her if you could work there considering you needed the money and she's agreed on letting you work there. But that's only if you're willing to do it?"
"Of course I'm willing to work, I need the money" Pointing out the obvious, Sakura down at her phone '10:30am, I still have time' "So when and what time do I start?" Sakura asked.

"Well my next shift doesn't start until this Wednesday at 4:30pm after school so you can come in then and help me around the shop, I'll show you what you need to do and where everything's placed. How does that sound?"

Collecting her stuff, Sakura stood up and gave Ino a slight smile "Perfect, I really appreciate everything you've done for me pig. Really you're saving my life for the millionth time. But for now I'll have to catch you later, I have some assignments to catch up on. "

"I understand, Bye Forehead" Ino yelled, standing up and waving goodbye.

Looking Back Sakura waved goodbye to her friend " Later Pig!" She yelled back, heading towards the Library to do some studying and finish off her assignments before they were due and most probably late.

Slowing down to a fast walk Sakura spotted the library as her face lit up, opening the door she slipped inside quietly making sure not to disturb any of the other students studying within the building.

"Hello" She greeted the librarian bowing as she stepped inside the library.

"Ah! Hello Sakura, nice day today isn't it?" Smiling Sakura nodded her head in agreement; it really was a nice day today.

Heading towards the desks she sat down pulling out all things necessary to finish off her assignments. It wasn't all that often that she got assignments, if anything it was very rare although the times she did get them Sakura would often leave them to the last minute leaving herself vulnerable and getting into trouble.

Spending hours within the library really wasn't her cup of tea but it was something that had to be done in order to get these assignments done because clearly they weren't going to do themselves. Looking up at the clock a sigh left her lips, leaning her head back and slumped into the chair.

Staring up at the ceiling she hadn't realised that the man she had recently been talking to ino about had walked up to her, looking down he gave her a blank stare. "Is this seat taken?" he asked.

"No its no-" before she even managed to finish her sentence Sasuke sat down across from her opening the book he had grabbed from the shelf ignoring her presence. Irritated and slightly offended Sakura watched him intensely, flicking his pages right to left, right to left over and over again.

"What was your name again.." Stumbling upon words trying to recall the man's name she focused on her thoughts solely on trying to remember the man's name. Was it Shousuke? Saike? Sake? It couldn't be sake.. Sasoke? Sas? Sasu-

"Sasuke!" she blurted a little bit too loudly standing up abruptly as she spoke. Looking around she noticed all the eyes and attention she had dragged, covering her mouth a bit too late she sat back down in her seat, lowering her head trying to block the eyes that were now staring at her.

"You called." His voice low, masculine and slightly annoyed.

She was beginning to think that the guy had some sort of stick up his ass.

"Ah so,…What book are you reading?" Her palms sweating as she spoke each word, her heart beat becoming irregular, too fast to call it normal. She was never really good with calming her nerves and right now her nerves were getting the better of her.

Sasuke looked up from his book. "I'm reading up on Japanese Samurai's."

His answers were short and straight to the point, his tone cutting through the air almost as cold as ice and extremely low sending chills down her spine every time he opened his mouth. Contemplating whether or not to ask more questions to keep the conversation going she figured it couldn't hurt to ask. What was the worst that could happen?

"Ano…Sasuke" Her voice wavering slightly as she spoke his name.

"Mm" He grumbled, looking up from his book Sasuke waited for the Pinkette to voice whatever it was she wanted to say. Shuffling in her seat Sakura gave a light cough before speaking.

"I was hoping. You could help me with this?" She asked, pointing at the math homework in front of her .

"Hn." Standing up Sasuke put the current book he was reading on the desk, walking to the other side of the table Sasuke sat down next to Sakura overlooking the work she had been doing the past few hours. Picking up the pencil, holding it between his slim long fingers in a firm grip, scribbling down notes Sakura gaped at him.

"It was that simple" She groaned mentally slapping herself.

Turning his head to the side looking at her through the corner of his eye he smiled slightly. "You got all that right?"

"Ah H-Hai I did" stumbling on her words her heart beating fast, palms sweating as her nerves kicking in, suddenly realising just how close they were. Were they always this close? Or did they accidently move closer than they both intended to?

"Good. Now if you could, please stop bothering me" His aura and facial expression changing from bright and charming to deadly as his glare boring into her eyes. If looks could kill Sakura was sure she would have been dead by now.

"Hmph, who knew you were one for being an ass" she uttered to herself hoping the man across from her didn't hear it. Raising an eye brow Sasuke chuckled to himself, he wasn't much of being an ass he just found her reactions amusing.

"Well you shouldnt judge people based of first impressions hm." Smirking as he spoke, Sakura stood up packing up her things into her bag; slinging the backpack over her shoulder she looked back at Sasuke one last time giving him an ice cold glare.

"Screw you asshole" With that, she barged the library doors open storming outside.

"Who does he think he is?! Someone should teach him some manners! "She was rambling to herself and quiet aware of it as well, pacing back and forth outside the doors of the library Sasuke walked up from behind her smirking at the scene in front of him. He hadn't expected to irritate her this much.

"Who me?" he asked.

Turning around abruptly she pointed her finger at him and glared. "You!. Yes you!" Groaning in frustration she began storming down the road only to have him tag along behind her. This guy was seriously getting on her nerves, first he had the hide to be rude and now he was mocking her?

Frustrated with the man behind her she snapped. "Why are you even follow me?!"

Smirking at the girl in front of him Sasuke took a step forward, closing the distance between them. "It's simple, I find your company amusing. " Baffled at his response she stuttered slightly only to close her mouth for the better of her insanity and began walking off without uttering a word.

With Sasuke following behind even though the air was beginning to grow thicker and colder, the wind picking up her cheeks were still bright pink from the effect of his words. "It's simple, I find your company amusing" His words still running through her head like a broken record.

She had no idea why exactly he had an effect on her the way he did. Every time he spoke her heart beat would jump abnormally, butterflies would form in her stomach and her palms would sweat causing her to feel restless and become slightly fidgety.

Arriving at her door step she climbed the stairs, pulling out the keys and unlocking the door. Looking back she noticed Sasuke was standing at the bottom of the stairs looking up at her.

"Do you want to come in?" she asked politely, the silence was too much.

Looking up his facial expression softened "No..There's no need for that." Stopping his sentence midway he walked up the stairs painfully slow, closing the distance between them both he leant down to her height, his forehead on hers. "But." he paused, looking straight into her eyes.

"I want to see you much more often. I meant it when I said I find you amusing. I like your company" He confessed before breaking the contact, he walked down the stairs stopping one last time to look up at her. "I'll see you later Sakura" Her name sounding exotic from his lips, leaving her there to stand out in the cold winter air, frozen in place almost impossible to move.

Snapping out of her thoughts she walked inside the house, closing the door behind her. Taking off her shoes shoe collapsed on the couch. "That did not just happen.." Her voice wavering full of disbelief.

Jolting up off of the couch she rushed to grab the phone dialling Ino's number in an instant, waiting for Ino to pick up she walked into the kitchen, flicking the switch on the kettle waiting for the water to boil.

"Moshi Moshi.."

"Ino!" The sudden hello gave Sakura a fright almost causing her to drop the phone.

"You called" she drawled, the popping noise of the button clicking back into place, Sakura began pouring the water into the mug.

"I met Sasuke today at the library and you won't believe what happened."

Sakura could practically hear the smile from the other line.

"Start from the beginning" Ino told her as Sakura stirred her drink taking a sip from the mug before continuing her all so exciting story.

"Well I was studying at the library when Sasuke had come in and asked if the seat across from me was take-" "You did tell him it was free right?" Ino interrupted earning an irritated sigh from Sakura.

"Of course I did, if you had let me finish I would have gotten to that part of the story" Mumbling an apology Sakura continued. "As I was saying, I told him the seat across from me was vacant and so he sat down and began reading a book. I asked him what book he was reading-"

"You asked him what book he was reading." Ino snorted

"is there something wrong with that?" She asked her best friend, sipping from her drink she set the mug back down. "No…" Ino admitted " But you could have come up with a better conversation starter" Ino confessed.

"Well sorry miss popular, I don't exactly have the greatest social skills" Sakura said sarcastically.

"Touché" Ino laughed at her friend's story.

"Again, as I was saying. He told me he was reading up on Japanese warriors, you know.. "

"Samurai" Ino finished for her.

"Yes Samurais" Sakura agreed. "It fell silent for a while and I thought I'd ask him to help me with the math homework I had been struggling on, so he wrote everything out like within a few minutes like it was nothing. " Groaning at her friends stupidity Ino decided to give her advice "it's not attractive to ask a man for help on your math homework you know."

"yes yes I know, but let me finish. So he had asked me if I got everything and I said yes. Then the guy had the hide to say 'Good. Now if you could, please stop bothering me'" Imitating Sasuke's tone of voice Ino laughed at her friends sarcasm.

"So long story short I packed my things and walked out and you know what happened?" She asked her friend. "What?" Ino replied

"The guy had the courage to follow me outside and tell me he enjoyed my company and found me amusing…" groaning to herself she could hear the giggle on the other side of the line.
"That's good then!" Ino declared enthusiastically.

"Oh it gets better.. We walked home in silence and when I went to open my front door I realised he was at the bottom of the stairs." Confused, Ino clicked her tongue. "What for? Was he admiring your beauty?" Ino asked sarcasm evident in her tone of voice.

"No.. I'm not sure why, but I asked him if he wanted to come inside and he rejected my invitation. But then he walked up the stairs and stood so close to me I thought I was going to have a heart attack with the way my heart was jumping out of my chest" Sakura told her, rinsing the mug out and setting it in the sink.

"Someone likes you~" Ino sang to herself, Sakura began coughing on the other end of the phone trying her hardest not to choke on her own saliva. Recollecting herself she continued her story.

"But anyways, He got so close he leaned his forehead on mine and told me he wanted to see me more often. I mean seriously Ino right then and there I almost died for the second time in my life." She breathed in exaggeration, throwing her free arm in the air.

Laughing Ino agreed "Oh I bet you did I probably would have too if I were in your situation"

Sakura heard the yawning from Ino's end of the phone, switching the phone from one hand to the other she spoke "I'll let you go, I'm sure you've had a long day working with your mother at the flower shop"

"Oh you bet I did" She said sighing "She worked me ragged"

Giggling Sakura walked up to her bedroom and shut the door behind her. "Well I'll see you later pig, goodnight." Not bothering to change out of her T-shirt and track pants Sakura slipped into bed.

"Goodnight Forehead, dream sweetly of Sasuke for me "Yawning Sakura hung up, setting the phone on the table next to her bed, reaching up to turn the lamp off she laid back down closing her eyes waiting for sleep to consume her.
