Chapter 25: Bo and the Masters of the Universe
"She's in the fucking light fae compound?! Are you really sure?" The Valkyrie might be relieved to know that Lauren was ok and not far away but in the light Fae compound? She might as well be on the moon.
No way in hell she'd be getting in there. Not only because she was fae but the Ash wasn't quite fond of her either.
"Not hundred percent. I just know that a light fae cop found her. He probably took her to the compound for medical treatment... At least that would make sense.. I'm not sure if she still is there but it's our best shot."
"Fun...fucking.. tastic..." Tamsin grumbled. "So.. what do we do? Barge in there? Wreaking havoc?"
"Oh dear you should know better than me that that will probably end with our deaths."
"I know, ok? You said something about a girl that was with her?"
"I did. Want to see her?"
"Why not... Even though I doubt we'll get anything interesting out of her... Lead the way"
"Follow me" Vex grinned. While they were on their way some muffled screams and banging noises were heard. "What's that?" Tamsin asked.
"Either one of my... customers, "he smirked. "Or that girl still trying to break loose again I'd say" It didn't take long for the duo to reach their destination but to their surprise the chair was empty. The only occupant of the room was a guard looking dreamily out the window. His face was a little bruised and bloody but he didn't seem to care.
"Is there a chance that the girl you caught was a succubus? Or are your hired goons just high as fuck and made her invisible too?"

"Aaaaachooo" Rena sneezed. A cold... she hadn't been sick for over 50 years but now when everything seemed to go downhill that nasty little virus decided to take over her body.
"Here we go... Spaghetti for Ivy and a hot bowl of soup for Rena.." The wolf said balancing two plates in his hand. He tried to give the noodles to Ivy but the girl just stared absentminded at the TV. Her eyes empty and sad. The once joyful, energetic child was just a shadow of her former self.
He had to admit that the small girl went through hell. Her father killed her stepmother and brother in cold blood and attacks them and her only family left, her sister Lauren disappeared. Now she lived with people she barely knew looking in to an unsure future.
It was such contrast. Ivy hadn't been this devastated after that fateful night at home, but loosing Lauren? And now Bo was lost too.. Two missing girls... fantastic.
"Come on cub... please eat something..." Dyson begged. T
"No..." the girl shook just shook her head and continued watching TV.
"Ivy... You've got to eat.. Lauren wouldn't want you to starve yourself" It was a low blow but the only thing Dyson thought could change the brunettes mind.
"Okay..." Ivy eventually said.
Satisfied Dyson gave Ivy her meal and went to Rena.
"Here's your chicken soup" He gave her the bowl and kissed her forehead lovingly.
"thanks..." she took a spoon full in her mouth but started coughing immediately after almost knocking over the bowl.
"Whoa got cha" The wolf said catching the dangerously shaking soup.
"Still to hot..."
"Want to eat it later?"
"Yes please..." He took the bowl from her and sat it down on the table. He kicked of his shoes.
"Scooch" Dyson said and Rena made room for the wolf to sit behind her, holding her close.
"I don't want you to get sick..."
"I won't... I promise. I hadn't had any sick days for centuries. Your little cold won't reach me" he smirked and kissed the top of her head. His arms were slung tightly around the lean body of the redhead.
"I hate sitting around here doing nothing... We have to missing girls. We should be out there finding a trail and... achooo" Rena sneezed.
"I know... I hate it too but there is nothing we can do right now and you have to lay low either way with your dripping nose. Talking about snot... you've seen Tamsin lately?"
"Nope... guess she is doing things her way... Not that I miss her or anything. I'm actually glad not to see her everyday."
"Me too... me too..." he said and buried his face in Rena's hair.
The three sat there for a while in silence. How much they wished the happier times back. Not long ago, you could here laughter echoing through these walls. Even when there was still so much pain, there was always a spark of hope that things would be better. Now everything felt empty and lonely. Feeling helpless was killing them.
A ringing phone disturbed the silence.
"Thornwood" Dyson mumbled in his cell.
"Hey wolfboy"
"Hey Hale... been a long time partner." He had to admit that he missed his old partner back in Toronto. They were a good team.
"I know I should call more often, but I don't have much time"
Dyson furrowed his eyebrows. "What's going on?"
"The doc probably kills me when she finds out but.. You know I'm not eavesdropping.. at least not intentionally..."
"Sure..." Dyson smirked.
"Come on dude, I really didn't mean to. Just wanted to talk to her and she got that girl with her I saved from some dark fae assassin.."
Dyson eyes widened a little. Could it be? No that would be too convenient. "Dark fae assassins? Why would they attack a girl?"
"I wondered about that too but hold your balls d man... I know it sounds crazy but listen. You know that the doc is never wrong about anything, aight?"
"As far as I know she never was" Dr. Everett was the smartest person he had ever met. She never speculated. She was just right.
"That girl... She thinks she's an ANCIENT!"
Dyson's mouth opened wide in shock, phone falling from his hand. Rena looked at him questioningly.
"I think... I know where she is..." he breathed.

The begging of a girl chimed in her ears. She saw in the face of the terrified raven haired girl. Whimpering, crying while she choked. What was she doing? Why was she doing this and how was she even able to?
Her neck burned. The mark pulsed and the anger seemed to slowly vanish. Her clouded mind cleared up and she let go immediately jumping away from the bound girl. With wide eyes she looked at her shaking hand that moments before were choking someone. The brunette felt like she had to throw up. This wasn't her. She could never... or could she? The urge to find Lauren was almost unbearable. She let out a desperate scream.
Control.. She had to control her feelings.
Meanwhile Kenzi was coughing violently trying to get some much needed air back in to her lungs.
"I didn't mean to.. I... I am sorry.. " Bo stuttered.
"The fuck is wrong with you?" Kenzi coughed.
"I.. I don't know really... Please.. I didn't... It was like something took over.." Tears were forming in her eyes still unbelieving of the things she had done.
"Well.. I can't threaten you in this position so I might believe that you didn't mean to just so you don't turn in to Mr. Hyde again... How about you tell me your name... Seems that everyone wants a piece of Lauren, at least tell me why you want to find her. Despite your killing efforts you are the less ruthless of those freaks.."
Bo's eyes widened in shock. There were people trying to hurt her Lauren? It took a lot from her to control her feelings. She felt the anger reappear at hearing that her mate was in danger. She took a deep breath to calm her anger. "My name is Bo" she eventually said not that it would matter but when the other wanted to know her name, why not?
"Bo?" Kenzi sounded surprised. "Bo as in blondies girl, Bo? The name she is mumbling in her sleep? The one always on her mind?"
Bo blushed. Did Lauren really mumble her name? She rubbed her neck embarrassed... "Probably that Bo... Lauren and I we... before she left we kinda... you know.."
"Bumped uglies?" Kenzi helped.
"What? No... No of course not... We didn't..." Bo rambled.
"I know.. I was just joking. Care to tell me how you end up here?" Why was she even talking to the brunette? Just moments ago she choked and threatened her but a part of her was curious about the girl. The girl that occupied Lauren's mind all the time.
"I followed a detective that was looking for her end we stopped here..."
"So you broke in and took a look all James Bond style?"
"Sort of... I thought Lauren was in here... The moment I came her my birthmark was doing... funny things... I know that sounds crazy but I can't describe it better... Then I saw you saying her name and then something inside me made: click and... you know the rest..."
Kenzi was rubbing her bruised neck. "You are a crazy bitch..." She mumbled. "Not that I would trust you... even one bit after you tried to kill me, but do you mind getting me out of here? As much as you might have freaked me out... the creep that locked me up is even worse. And if you really are the person you say you are... Lauren wouldn't trust a maniac her heart... So come on get me out of here"
Bo just nodded and slowly walked over to the girl and helped her with the binding.
"How did I end up here anyway? Freaks everywhere... You owe me big girl for that choking thing... Fancy restaurant at least girl..." Kenzi muttered while trying to get out of the last binding on her own when the girls heard foot steps coming closer.
"Aww shit... hurry up Bobo and don't you dare leaving me here" Kenzi hissed.
"I am doing my best but that stupid tape is pretty stubborn" Bo said through clenched teeth.
"Look for something sharp, a knife.. something... Hurry, I think that someone is almost there..." Kenzi started to panic.
In that moment the door opened and bald headed, muscular guard entered. His stern look was fixed on the intruder. "Who the hell are you?" he growled.
"Not good..." Bo mumbled.
"NOW would be a good time to turn in to Hulk again... pronto" Kenzi squeaked still trying to get rid of the tape.
"I don't know how!" Bo didn't know what happened to her in the first place and she definitely didn't know how to.. turn in to that again whatever it was.
"Howl at the moon or use your magic dagger or something, how should I know?"
"By the power of Grayskull" Bo screamed and stormed at the attacker who, without much effort, knocked the brunette to the ground.
"Oh I am sorry Sailor Moon, looks like your magic spell didn't work" the guard smirked.
"That's He Man you douche bag" Kenzi barked. The guard turned to Kenzi. "You are not supposed to be free." He said.
"Aww shit.." Kenzi breathed. This wasn't good.
