Upon our landing back at Nellis we were met by Col Sharp and Dr. Proctor. Rin and the girls of course got to us before the Colonel and Doctor could. Rin threw her arms around me kissed me passionately. "Where have you been all my life?" she said with a glow in her eyes. "Learning to swim." I said jokingly as I held her close. "John?" she asked. I lifted an eyebrow. "Don't ever scare me like that again!" she said half jokingly. "Wouldn't dream of it." I said kissing her once more. Meanwhile, Rogers and Teto were busy sharing embraces while Miku and Howard collapsed into each other. Wilkens and Neru still shared their affection for each other in their usual awkward nature. "WARRIORS?" Col Sharp approached us. "Shadow Team ATTENTION!" Wilkens called as Rogers, Howard, and I all snapped to attention. "WARRIORS, I'd like to congratulate your team on a job well done. All mission objectives were successfully completed, and the casualties were limited to the enemy only. That's damn fine statistics!" "HOOAH!" we resounded in approval. "Corporal Adams, I'd also like to commend you personally. Your actions are what ultimately made the mission a success, and prevented our cities from being ravaged by a nuclear strike. You did a hell of a job son!" Sharp commended me. "Not just me sir…." I said looking at Rin and the rest of the team. "Without Rin and the rest of the team, none of that would have been possible sir. Simul Pugnare! Together we fight!" I said in response. "That's what I like to hear Corporal. You all are a part of this team. You all fight together, and only together will you win your battles. I'm sure Dr. Kagamine would have been proud to see that the lessons he taught you of teamwork and cohesion between fire-team members and android handlers have been properly applied, and have gone far beyond that. You all should be extremely proud of what you have accomplished." Sharp said. "Yes sir!" We all sounded. "Alright enough said. Debrief in fifteen mikes. Dismissed!" he said as he walked off. We all then exchanged smiles at what we had accomplished. We had done exactly what we had been trained to do, and had done it well beyond and above standard. Now all we could do was wait to see what would be thrown at us next…
