Um... This is so awkward. I know, I know. Don't. Just don't. I'm late, I'm really late and this semi sucky chapter is all I have to make up for it. How long it will be, well that I don't know.

Gravity's Child

It hadn't been that bad of a hunt, he supposed. To find the children of his former prey Ichiru running towards the Moon Dorms had been the nicest surprise of his life, especially when he realized that they were alone. So Hirashi had done the first thing that had come to mind, he had taken them. Now he was residing inside the biggest tomb in the graveyard, the one that just so happened to house the remains of the Kiryuu clan. It was a coincidence. Maybe. However, his eyes remained on the sight of the two children asleep in the cage hanging from the ceiling across the tomb from him. They looked so much like Rido, Hirashi couldn't help but hiss in hatred. He was a noble, abet a high ranking one, but still a noble. There was no possible way for him to fight off Rido Kuran and live so he was going to use the man's son and daughter as a bargaining chip. Since Ichiru was off the market, he wanted Zero. The unmated Pureblood was perfect, but he didn't like that the male was sealed. He was going to have to do something about that, but he did have a plan. Picking up a scroll of parchment and a pen, he began to write.

When Kaname entered his room later in the day, he was far past 'confused' and beginning to enter 'frantic'. Zero was hysterical, and had practically begged him to help find his niece and nephew. Kaname, of course, in a moment of mental brain freeze, had agreed to help. When Zero had looked so relieved that he actually smiled, Kaname had frozen, then Zero had done the unthinkable. He had actually thanked him. It had been a legit, complete "Thank you." that Kaname had never gotten before. It had been a quiet one, but it had still been there. Glancing at his paperwork covered desk, Kaname couldn't help but sigh as he sank into the chair behind it and placed his head in his hands. Zero was ... there was no other way to describe him... odd. He was definitely different, but Kaname knew that to be respected by Zero, you had to earn it. The young Vampire hated people who demanded respect simply because of who they were, and in the beginning, Kaname had been one of them.

The sharp cry of a bird dragged him out of his musings when a vulture flew in through his balcony. Zero raced in to the room right behind it, looking pissed off. He snarled at the bird, but gently took the letter that had been tied to its' foot. The vulture merely glanced at him. Kiryuu tore the letter open and read through it, his face darkening the more he read. Kaname was now worried. "How DARE he?" Definitely not how Kaname though Zero would react, and he stood up. Zero shoved him back down into the seat with a glare and slammed the letter down in front of the Vampire King.

My dearest Zero,

It seems that we haven't seen each other in a while. I'll have to rectify that. In any case, I would like to speak face to face with Kuran Kaname. Yes, it is about his cousins, and yes I do have them. They're such sweet things. It would be a shame if they had to die at such a young age... Now now Zero, that poor piece of furniture that you're ripping to pieces doesn't deserve that... You always did have such a temper problem.

I look forward to meeting you Kuran,

Hirashi Metizouki

Zero flexed his hands very slowly, feeling the muscles contract and relax as he struggled to keep himself calm. Kaname looked like he wanted to kill something, but it wasn't showing on his face. It was showing with the way that his nails were digging into the desk causing it to splinter.

"I'm pretty sure I know where he is." Kaname's head shot up and he stared Zero in the eye.

"And that would be?"

"My..." Zero paused and trailed off. "My family's tomb." He didn't want to speak about the past incident, but he knew he had too. "He likes this sort of thing, scaring his victims."

"And you would know this how?"

"Because he's done it to me and Ichiru before... The thing is, I thought I killed him. Damn." Zero sighed and rubbed his eyes. "He only wants me, no one else."

"Really, then why does he have my cousins?"

"Because he knows that I would do almost anything to keep them safe."

"Even become his toy?"

Zero was silent for a long time. "Even that." Kaname couldn't help but feel his eyes widen and he took in a sharp breath. A strange scent curled around his nose and the Vampire King couldn't help but breath in again, a soft purr rumbling from deep inside him. Zero froze, before moving towards the door. Kaname was faster. With the help of his gifts, he slammed the door shut and immediately stood up. Zero had turned slowly around to face him, cocking Bloody Rose towards him. With a snarl, the gun was ripped from his hands and hurled aside before the Pureblood had the Hunter pinned against the wall. Kaname buried his face against Zero's neck and breathed in deeply. There it was, the scent of an unmated. He frowned, there was something else there as well, but it was too faint to catch it properly. He breathed in again, but was unable to identify it. Gently Kaname ran his tongue over Zero's neck, right where the tattoo was and froze. A seal.

Almost instinctively the Vampire bit into the soft skin, his sharp fangs piercing easily through. Zero let out a whimpering moan and blood rushed into Kaname's mouth. It was perfect, sweet with a citrus tang. It was also pure. There was not a drop of human blood in it. It was the kind of blood that only a Pureblood could have. Kaname pulled away gently, closing the marks at the same time. He stared Zero in the face. "You're a Pureblood." It wasn't a question, but a statement.

"I am."

"How?"

"Father sealed me when I was born. Ichiru's seal has already been broken."

Kaname's lip curled, revealing blood stained fangs. "That's disgusting. Why did he have to hide the fact that you two were Purebloods? There haven't been Pureblooded twins in centuries!"

"Exactly. Our power was too strong, so he sealed us to hide us from the Hunters. He didn't want his only sons to be the weapons of the Association." Kaname frowned, that made sense. But he still didn't like the idea of young Vampiriac children being sealed. Pulling away slowly, he was again assaulted with the scent and Kaname was filled with the sudden urge to claim Zero as his. Deciding that he could deal with the consequences later, Kaname grabbed Zero and pulled him in for a fierce blood stained kiss. Zero melted into it, purring softly in his chest and the Vampire King felt himself react quickly. He pulled the purring Hunter into his conjunctive bedroom and pushed Zero down onto the bed before quickly straddling him. He didn't even bother to look when both the door to his office and his bedroom door were bolted shut. He wasn't about to let this one get away so easily.

The intent to take a mate coursed through his veins and Kaname reconnected their lips as he pressed harshly against Zero, drawing a moan from deep in the Hunter's throat. The young Vampire writhed underneath him, rutting up against his leg and keening softly, his desire obvious. Kaname couldn't help but nuzzle his neck gently, the scent of Heat driving him on. Zero was submitting himself, completely and entirely; Kaname certainly wasn't going to let this one chance escape him. He had never had any ideas of bonding with Yuuki, she simply was too much. Even for him. Shifting his weight, the Vampire King tore the Hunter's pants off, too wound up to really care. He'd let the younger male borrow some of his clothing later... Flipping the other male over, Kaname felt his lips quirk up as he gazed at the body he was going to take, the tight ass he was going to possess and fill with his cock. Zero whimpered under his gaze, unconsciously shifting his hips slightly. Kaname's hungry eyes took in the move and he smirked.

The feeling of two slick fingers penetrating him made Zero keen deep within his throat. The way they slid deep into his body made him feel like he was owned and desired in every single form of the word. It made him feel perfect in every which way. And he loved it. It was the sense of belonging that he'd never really had, but with Kaname he had finally found it. Closing his eyes he let himself drift, content to let Kaname mark him as his own.

When Zero came, Kaname tore the seal on his neck open, ripping it away from the skin. When the Vampire King himself came, he bit into the newly healed flesh and marked Zero as his mate.
