Hidden Leaf's Darkest Hour
As Sakura and Sai took guard duty on the towers of Konoha they spotted a large group heading towards the village. Sakura ran towards the stations birds and unlocked it sending an alarm hawk into the bright sky above to signal an enemy attack is approaching. The Kages addressed the squads in every sector of Konoha who g got there gear ready and prepared for the battle that will soon happen. Konoha shinobi along with Sand and Mist shinobi scattered towards there place for defense against the attack. Tsunade told every allied shinobi through their ear pieces that they must guard the walls and make sure no enemy enters the city. As the enemy drew closer the shinobi pulled there gear out as the enemy tried to break through the walls to enter the village but were met with resistance on the ground. Paper bombs were thrown onto the walls that kept Konoha safe and were exploded causing a huge hole in Konoha and its allies defense as the enemy enter the hole.
Ino,Temari and the rest of there squad were the first ones to enter the section where the enemy were coming in through. Enemy poured into an assault by group one, the battle was a stalemate. Sakura and Sai took up the left area of the Village that had a new hole in it there squad was met with more enemies than the last hole the battle was back and forth for control as dead bodies started to pile up on both sides. Sakura lept to the left and dodges a kunai swipe that was aimed at her throat. Sakura focused her chakra into her fist and punched the ground causing the enemy to stumble give Sai enough time to attack. Sai threw his kunai knife and it lodged into an enemies skull killing him quickly, Sai didn't notice the enemy behind him. As the enemy Went to kill Sai, Shikamaru stopped the enemy by slitting her throat killing her instantly.
Suddenly a huge explosion was heard causing all battles to stop as the allied forces looked ahead see two of the four remaining elementals standing on top of a nearby building. Sakura looked at the elemental s and launched herself at one of them trying to get revenge for what they done to Naruto but was tossed aside easily. Kiba caught Sakura from hitting the ground, after he caught her he set her down and glared at the elemental who was laughing at them. Sakura got too her feet and tossed a kunai at the elemental, as the elemental grabbed it he didn't notice the paper bombs surrounding him. The paper bombs blew up around the elemental slightly hurting him. He looked down towards Sakura and Kiba and launched himself at them and with a swift motion of his hand sent them flying away from him.
Sakura rebounded of a wall and lept up to the roof of the building. She formed hand-signs and yelled water style: water bullets jutsu launching five bullets at the elemental. The elemental dodged the jutsu and didn't notice Sakura sushin behind him and use her chakra enhanced punch causing him to lose his balance and send him stumbling back. Meanwhile on the other side of the battle field things were starting to go bad as more enemy shinobi enter cutting off Konoha and its allies from reinforcing there shinobi that were fighting. Blood was spilled as fire set to the buildings of Konoha as ally shinobi and enemy shinobi continued to clash in a bloody battle. The scent of blood and death flooded Konoha as the battle continued.
Meanwhile as Sakura dodge and attack from the elemental Kakashi appeared behind him and kicked the elemental in the back of the head. The elemental spun around and charge at Kakashi who jumped out of the way and landed near Sakura. Sakura stared at the elemental as his hands started to forms hand-signs and yelled " Water style:raging bullet jutsu" sending them plummeting into Sakura and Kakashi causing them to fly backwards hurling towards the ground before the caught themselves and landed on their feet. Kakashi and Sakura stared up towards the elemental who stood up on the building looking down at them, Sai landed next to Kakashi and Sakura and formed hand-signs that only Konoha shinobi know telling them that he has a plan that may be able to take out the elemental and help win the battle against the enemy.
As soon as the plan was said between the three of them they put it into action as Sai launched himself towards the elemental and Sakura and Kakashi disappeared. The elemental laughed as Sai sped towards him not noticing that Sakura appeared right beside him cocking back one of her chakra enhanced punches, the elemental caught it and left himself open to Sai and Kakashi's. Kakashi sped towards him with the chidori, Sai also sped towards him while using his paint brush to create a jutsu he had been practicing on and yelled " blazing ink" as fire erupted off the paper and flew towards the elemental. Right before both Sai and Kakashi's attack hit Sakura had disappeared again, Sai's jutsu hit first causing the elemental to stumble back right into Kakashi's chidori piercing the elemental chest causing him to cough up blood, Sakura finally appeared again and landed a chakra- enhanced punch right to the elemental's chest rendering the elemental incapacitated, Kakashi finished the job by using Sai's blade to cut the elemental's head off his shoulders killing him. As the three members of team seven looked around they saw that this war was far from finished as they saw their allies and their enemies be killed. As they moved to help the rest of the allies Sakura thought" as soon as this is over I have to tell Naruto how I feel about him.
Next chapter Konoha fights back. took forever to write college got in the way along with writers block ^O^, the reason the elemental was defeated was because Naruto had left him injured in a previous chapter even though it wasn't said in the other chapter. thanks to Morak120 for betaing the chapter ^_^
