Chapter 4

Luke Pov

Wow this has been a very strange two days, I can't help but think to myself as we all start to get comfortable on out plane ride to Aspen. To start with I had Ana tell me she was going to take Ryan with her to the office so I could help Gail with her shopping. I should have known something was off because as Ryan went to get the car keys Ana snuck out the door and left without him. When she got home I confronted her about it. Turns out she was embarrassed to take me to the toy store with her. I really don't know why. I mean I don't understand why because we have bonded closely and gotten to know each other fairly well. But I guess when you spend as much time together as we do its bound to happen, but I still can't which could end up getting me fired with the boss man if he ever found out. I trust her with my life but guess maybe that's just one sided. I hope this all makes sense later.

Then I had an interesting conversation with Gail today as well. Not sure how that will pan out. She approached me with the one thing I never would expected. Damn I still can't believe it. Then boss tells me that I have to join them on their fuckfest trip. Oh joy for me…. Kill me now, I had actually made plans to visit a new lady friend while they were gone. I am convinced he is punishing me for something. Damn the bastard I hope baby girl is really okay with having to reschedule. I'll replayed that conversation over and over in my head all night.

"Hey baby girl," god I have to try and sound up beat so not to tip her off too soon.

"What's wrong big guy?'' damn wasn't enough to disguise the disappointment.

"Just some bad news."

"It can't be that bad Luke," oh if she only knew.

"The boss told me to be backed and ready to go with them this weekend. So I'm not going to get to stay with you. I'm so pissed I can't see straight."

"Honey it's alright."

"No it's not, this was the first time we were going to be able to see each other for more than a few minutes at a time and I had some plans for you. That and don't forget to include I was looking forward to it."

"We'll make up for it the next weekend you get. I'm sure you can get another one fairly soon."

"But it won't be the same." I try to argue.

"Why won't it?"

"We won't be alone."

"That doesn't matter Luke and you know as well as I do that we can make it work whenever we can and alone or not isn't a deal breaker for me."

"I hope so baby girl," I hope so.

"As much as I don't want to let you go I think you should go for a run or workout as much of your frustrations as you can and then go to bed and dream of me."

"I think you may be right about that. And you know I will, I'll talk to you soon. Hopefully be for we leave in the morning. Bye baby."

"Bye big guy." God I love when she calls me that.

After that chat I ran and worked out till almost 2:30 am. And I'll be damned surprised that the boss and Ana had taken there tryst back upstairs. I had put off coming in in fear of seeing that again. I'd hate to try and hide another semi from walking in on anything like what I did earlier.

I awake earlier than planned or needed for today. I really hope Taylor doesn't feel the need to give me too much shit about this last minute change of plans. Taylor proceeds to tell me he feels bad for me as he knew how much I was looking forward to this little rendezvous with the little lady, but he's glad for the company so this trip isn't so boring. He also says he want to discuss some personal things. Oh man this could be bad.

As we drive to the airport I can't help but feel something is fishy in this car. Taylor is driving and Gail is riding along up front holding his hand and looking back and winking at me. We can't get to the airport fast enough, the two back here are all googly eyed at each other and it's getting close to r almost nc-17 rated. We arrived at the airport and pulled up and Ryan is there to take the suv back home after taking Gail to the store. When we get there Jason and I take the bags up and when we come back down we get the best surprise you could ask for.

Gail leans in to hug me in what I assume is a goodbye hug and whispers to me" told you it would be ok" I'm confused but not going to let it get to me. She then walks up to Jason and gives him the bag she's holding and tells him it needs to go as well. So he takes it and leans in to hug and kiss her bye when she backs away. Oh shit she didn't just do that. He looks hurt. When she smiles at him and says no need I'm going along. I think Taylor about had a heart attack he was so damn happy and surprised.

After we got in the air the boss wanted to have a brief meeting with Jason and myself. Well isn't this the perfect place to kill me or fire me 30000 feet up. But to both our shock we were told we were free for the weekend after touching base with the aspen team. So we were to enjoy or self and relax. Great another weekend alone won't this be fun. Told you the last few days had been strange.
