Ed smiled back.

"But," Ed continued, "You might not want to take Automail into consideration after you hear the details." She sighed as she leaned back into the couch cushions, ignoring that Tamaki moved over to give her more room. "Though it isn't that unheard of where I come from, not that many choose to get Automail…" The blonde rubbed at her shoulder as she spoke the last part, looking at Kyoya. "People try to avoid it actually; the rehabilitation usually takes around 3 years or more, depending on what limb you are replacing."

"And why do you say usually? Did you take less time?" Kyoya asked, his glasses glinting in the light, making Ed Flinch from Déjà vu. Ed stared at him, why did this seem so familiar? Ah, yes, this guy was as sharp as Hughes…the glasses were playing with her head. She shook herself mentally, and gave a small smirk. She knew he was the one to be careful with. Ignoring her still burning lungs, and pushing away the need to cough, she replied.

"I did it in one year. I didn't have time to lie around; I needed to get a job. So anyway, going faster caused me to puke up blood, blah blah blah," that had a few people grimacing, "but like I was saying before, not many do it in the first place. The reason I can move this so naturally is because my brain is still sending out signals to the nerves that are now gone, but in the Automail there are tons of wires that take in those signals instead." Ed was moving her metal arm around, watching it with the others as she explained. Even though it was connected to her own body, Ed had to admit, she could sometimes see why Winry liked working with the stuff so much.

Haruhi, who was now getting curious, asked the question that was also on Kyoya's mind. "You haven't explained why it isn't favored yet."

Ed actually laughed at this, though it didn't last long because she had to stop before she started coughing again. "The reason no one wants to do it is because it hurts like hell, Haruhi! Those nerves I was telling you about, every single one has to be attached to a wire, one at a time, and you can't be asleep or be on any pain medication or it could mess up the process! And putting in that port, holy crap, that hurts too, they have to drill screws into your bones to keep the metal port on." Ed was having a field day at everyone's faces, the whole group had gone ghostly pale, even Kyoya looked a little uneasy. "Want proof? I have a part that's screwed into my collar bone if you want to see." Honey looked like he was about to pass out at that point.

"We get the picture," started Hikaru.

"And believe us when we say," continued Kaoru.

"It isn't pretty." They finished in unison.

"Aw, you guys are just a bunch of sissies" Ed gave another laugh, covering her mouth loosely with one hand. She then saw just how much blood was on her white glove. She gave a sigh, now feeling the dried blood make a path from her mouth to her chin. "You guys mind if I go change and wash my face? Just because I am used to it doesn't mean I enjoy the taste of blood in my mouth." The mood dropped some more at her latest statement. When the short blonde once again almost fell back down to the couch, Haruhi stood as well and grabbed her elbow, gaining Ed's attention.

"Mind if I help you? And I don't really plan on taking no as an answer." The brunette said with a smile as she helped Ed past the other teens.

"No I don't mind; in fact it is greatly appreciated." Ed smiled back, directing Haruhi to her bedroom, leaving the male hosts without the girls.

The room was quite for a while, no one feeling up to saying much of anything. Kyoya was the only one who was doing what he normally did, writing notes, having not written down anything while Ed was talking. Everyone seemed downcast, Honey holding onto Mori's uniform sleeve like a child, the twins sitting close together, and Tamaki continued to sit next to where Ed had been sitting.

Tamaki was devastated. He had grown so close to his cousin, the weeks she spent before meeting the host club were fun, and he had confided in her. He always wondered why she never said anything back. He hadn't known Aunt Trisha died. Why didn't the siblings come to live with them before? And why wasn't Alphonse with? Edlyn never went anywhere without Alphonse. He had so many questions that he was just too scared to ask, too scared to know the answer too. He clenched his fists.

"-now Tama-Chan?" a voice broke into Tamaki's thoughts. He looked up to see everyone looking at him. He realized someone had asked him a question.

"What?" he asked after clearing his throat.

"What are we going to do about Edlyn and school, boss?" asked the twins for Honey. "Is she well enough to go to school if she is coughing up blood?" Hikaru scratched at the back of his head.

That was a good question too. Now what? What was he supposed to do now? Was she going to be put in a hospital for the rest of her life, just sitting there and waiting for it to end? He couldn't think of anything worse than that. Tamaki looked up at Kyoya, only to see him already looking at him.

"You can have her stay here at first, but if it turns out to be serious she will be sent to our hospital." He took out his phone, walking out of the room to make a few calls. Tamaki nodded; who it was too he wasn't sure. Suddenly there was a commotion; the host club looked up when they heard both Haruhi and Edlyn yelling, some crashing and banging included. Everyone was up and running in seconds, the noises making a trail to the back yard. The voices then started to become clearer.

"-think no one would find out?"

That was Haruhi, and it sounded like she was…laughing?

"Well sorry, but I couldn't just leave them, okay?"

Why did Ed sound so embarrassed? Everyone was almost to the door, and what they saw had to be the most confusing, yet cutest things ever.

"Just be careful, okay?" said Haruhi, smiling as she held a box with a few kittens in it, the brunette looking up at Edlyn who was in a tree, grabbing another fuzz ball. Both girls looked to be out of breath, and they had some leaves in their hair along with some dirt on their clothes. Ed was now changed into a red t-shirt, leaving her Automail visible since they knew, and blue jeans with her hair in a sloppy bun. Perfect for kitten hunting, this was the only suitable name for what they were doing after all.

"Yeah yeah," Ed snatched up the kitten, holding it to her chest as she slowly climbed down with one arm, smiling as she felt it purring, and once she was four feet above the ground, she jumped, shocking a few people. Landing gracefully, she put the kitten in the box and counted them, then gave a huge sigh. "We found all four." With that, Ed plopped onto the ground with a groan. Haruhi laughed as she sat next to Ed, setting the box between her and the blonde. Haruhi then noticed that they weren't alone.

"Uh, Ed?" she started nervously, knowing Ed wanted to keep the cats a secret. When all she got was a grumble, she continued. "We had an audience." That got Ed's attention.

"Aw shit." Ed sat up and locked her eyes onto Tamaki, putting on puppy dog eyes. "Tamaki…I can keep them…right? I really love cats, they are so cute, and they remind me of home, can I please keep them?"

"Sir, do you mind explaining our newest mission?" asked Hawkeye, though she was pretty sure she new already.

"Why, Hawkeye isn't it obvious? The team is going to pay our favorite Shorty a visit since she decided to run off." Riza sighed, Mustang would never admit it, but Ed running away affected him more then he liked. It had affected the whole team, so everyone was looking forward to visiting her. Ed was a little sister to them all, and it was time for a family reunion.

"I understand sir, I'll tell the team to pack up."
