Edward:

That Bella girl seems sad like she's abandon behind those thick geeky glasses.

Does this iris bracelet means a lot to her? I must return it to her the next morning.

Morning:

Bella:

"May I know if this belongs to you?" A familiar voice suddenly appears from the back. I turned around and saw Edward, I took a glance at his hand, and it's my bracelet!

I snatched it away and stared at him. If he thinks that playing this prank on me is funny, it is not.

"Hey, I saw it after you left the restaurant yesterday, I didn't steal it." He said glumly with both hands up like he is surrendering like I am going to eat him up. I realised I framed him!

"Thanks a lot!" After realizing what I did, I smiled from ear to ear, hoping to let him realize that I'm actually grateful for what he did.

"Wow, that's a… huge smile!" He said, cheerfully.

"You know what, you have a great smile. But we're going to be late." He said, taking his leave through the school's corridor, to his class, and mine, I grabbed onto the bracelet tightly before running into the class. The bell's ringing and I am going to be late.

"Miss Swan, how do you answer this question?"

I glanced up anxiously after realizing that the whole entire class was looking at me. Existential crisis hah.

"Hmmm, the answer, I suppose, is B?" I took a glimpse at the whiteboard, before making a choice, the whole class burst into laughter.

"Miss Swan, I mean how do you solve this question?"

"You can add that up, and multiply it by the answer itself to get the answer, right Miss Tandelee?"

I looked beside me and saw the person I've been dreaming about the entire period, Edward Cullen. I stared at him until he met my glance. Just millimeters between us. Our eyes met, no, I mean I'm so thankful.

"Enough meeting of the eyes!" Snapped Miss Tandelee.

And I quickly looked away. Freak I am smitten by him? He just glared at me yesterday...

You know what, you have a great smile. I can't stop thinking of what he said. No one has ever said that to me and he's like my life saviour.

"Bella, Bella, yoohoo, snap out of your world!" I looked around before I saw Heidi before my eyes. "What the hell happened to you babe?"

"Ahh!" I screamed at the top of my voice.

Edward:

After changing into the uniform, I began my normal routine of taking orders. Although I do constantly look into the staff room, where's Bella, why is she late for work did something cropped up?

Suddenly, Bella appeared, she rushed into the back of the store, changed her clothes and walked into the cooking area.

"May I take your orders?" I said to the lady in her forties in front of me, she was wearing a dress, with thick makeup and hair that was dyed with around five colours.

"You? No, I mean one burger." She smirked before handing the money to me. I took hold of it, but she wouldn't let go, instead her hands were on mine. I grab the money with much greater force, just like a tug of war, before she finally let go.

"Two burgers," I said to the counter behind me and saw a laughing Bella looking at me. Smiling, she was smiling.

"Got it!" She said before going in to prepare two burgers for the lady, who is still looking at me hungrily.

Finally, work ended, I let out a big breath, it's so hard working and staying in a far place away from your family and friends.

I saw Bella rushing out of the restaurant and walked up to her.

"Hi," I said breathlessly.

"Hi." She said.

"Mind going to the bus stop together?"

"Okay." She seems tired.

We reached the stop, she plugged in the earphones into her ears; I took a glimpse at her ears, such delicate ears, with two diamond earrings that fitted her perfectly, the diamond shine under the light stand. I continued looking at her while she listened to her music with her eyes closed.

Curiosity got the better of me, and I took off one of her earphones and placed it in my ears, what there's no sound?

"What…are you….doing?" She stared at me, a voice which breaks the peace of the silent night.

"There's no sound to this!" I said.

"I…I."

"You don't really want me to accompany you right?"

"No… I mean yes… I don't know." She said while looking down, her ponytail hanging on top of her head.

"I'm just afraid of what to say. Sorry, I don't really know how to make friends with people, much less making casual convos."

"How about the girl that is always with you?"

"You mean Heidi? She's the only one I guess. People either despise me or... ignore." She said while giving me a bitter smile.

I hold her cheek, and looked into her hazel eyes, her pupil widens, "You deserve one."

Actually, I can be one.

I said sincerely.

Her cheeks turned burning red instantly and she froze in her action.

The bus came,I let down my hand and tap her on her shoulders, however, she was still clinging onto her sling bag.

"Come on!" I shouted, she seems released from the ice that finally melted, but stood up and went the other direction. Towards the traffic.

Bella:

I need to get out of this place, fast.

At an instant, I felt a loud screech sound and a strong arm holding onto me, turning me around. And hugging me, hugging me?

And I finally made a piece out of everything, I was stoning, and Edward held onto me because a car almost knocked me down, and luckily he pulled me back in time and I went into his embrace.

How can things progress so fast, from strangers, to friends?

And the bus, the last one today, just went away, we looked at it before it produces some gray smoke out of the back of the bus engine. Something that is produced from the bus exhaust system, and harmful. Okay what am I thinking; I am in this awkward situation! Bye bus, how am I going to rush out my assignments.

"You!" Edward said.

"I'm sorry!"

"It's alright!" Edward smiled cheerily, "You alright?"

"Yeap." I looked at my watch, It's past one in the morning.

"Been a long day together, huh?"

I counted the hours with my fingers, one, two, and three…

"It's ten hours!"

"Really, that's long."

Edward:

It can be longer friend.
