A/N: A few things to say. One! I don't own Monsters, Inc or Monsters University. Second! I don't own Scalezy. Third! AnonymousZGirl owns Scalezy. Forth! The ending. I don't care if you don't like it. I like it!

Scalezy: Another! *Glass Breaks*

Me: Scalezy...

Scalezy: Sorry!

Me: *Sigh* Anyway...Fifth! ON WITH THE STORY!

Renny's P.O.V.

When I opened my eyes, I felt like I had been hit by a cannon ball. No, five cannon balls. I had the absolute worst headache in the history of ever. I was in more pain than someone whose leg was bit off by a shark.

…Okay, maybe less, but you get my point.

I was leading against the window in Mike, Sullivan, and my room. I took my head off the cool glass, got to my feet, walked out of the shared room, and down the hall to the bathroom.

When I looked in the mirror, I had to do a double take. I had a black eye, a big bruise on my cheek, my entire neck looked like someone had put their hands around their neck and tried to strangle me, bruises and cuts on my arms and legs up to my knees, and when I pulled my shirt up to my stomach I saw a lot of bruises.

"Renny, are you in there?" Squishy's mother called to me.

"Uh, yeah!" I answered, quickly pulling my shirt back over my stomach.

"Are you okay?"

"I have bruises all over my body! What do you think!?" I snapped. I gasped, realizing what I said. "Oh, gosh! I'm sorry!"

"Its fine," Ms. Squibbles told me, "Your sister brought you home. What happened?"

That's just it. I didn't know what happened to me. What did happen after we had arrived at the party? All I could remember was staying away from all the larger crowd.

I opened the door and told her, "I can't remember."

"Well…get dressed, okay?" I nodded, quickly got my clothes from my suitcase, and went back into the bathroom. I took a shower, and got dressed into a blue skirt with some black leggings, a purple turtle neck sweater, and a navy blue sweatshirt. I didn't want anybody to see the bruises on my body.

I walked out of the bathroom, down the stairs, and out the door to find my sister. I needed to find out the events of last night. Pronto.

I went to the PNKs sorority house and brought two of my fists down on the door. I stopped when the PNK president opened the door, a coffee cup in her hand.

"Uh…Prez, do you know where my sister is?" I questioned.

"Yeah, she's fighting someone," The president informed me.

"Where?!" I shouted, "And with who?!"

"Some girl," The president shrugged, "The girl came running in here, yelling at your sister. They went behind the scare school."

"How do you know this?"

She didn't answer, but she did take a sip of her hot drink. Everything was quiet, and then I heard a loud, "OW!"

"That's how," The president informed me, taking another sip of the drink.

"Ah. Eh, thanks," I turned and ran off towards the scaring school.

"Trying…protect…little…Renny!" I heard Hex yell, but only bits of it.

"Who is she fighting?" I thought.

I ran around the school and saw Hex fighting a purple girl with long fronds, which kind of looked like the girl's hair. She was a reptile girl, and looked a little like Randy. Purple scales, green eyes, and a long tail.

"Well…don't…Randy! He…on…bad team…doesn't….he's bad!" The girl yelled at Hex. I still could only hear bits and pieces of what the two said, but it sounded like, 'Well don't hurt Randy! He may be on a bad team but that doesn't mean he's bad!'

"HEY!" I shouted, running over to the two girls, "Cut it out!" I pulled the two girls apart and held them away from each other. "Why are you guys fighting?"

"She threatened Randy for no good reason!" The girl informed.

"His damn teammate almost KILLED my sister!" Hex told the girl.

"I don't see her!"

"She's right there!" Hex pointed at me.

The girl looked me over. "She looks fine!"

"Fine!? Ha!" Hex lifted my sweatshirt and sweater up, revealing my bruised stomach. Then she pushed it back down.

"Oh, gosh!" The girl breathed. She looked at Hex. "I am so sorry! It's just Randy told me how you threatened him, and he is my friend so-,"

"YOU THREATENED RANDY!?" I roared, standing up straight, gaining about half an inch on my height.

"Him and his whole team, actually," Hex shrugged.

I frowned, and felt like slapping her, but didn't. I let out a deep, loud sigh. "Okay, whatever. What happened to me?"

"When I got to you, you were being hit by Dave. Beat, more like it. I gave him a broken nose, then kicked him in the gut. I helped you up, and started to walk you to your frat house. Before I even got out of the RORs frat house," Hex hesitated, "I bumped into Randy, and he was really concerned for you. I was really mad at Dave, and took it out on Randy. I threatened him, saying, 'You and your stupid ROR friends are not to come even twenty feet near Renny or, I swear on my life, I will kill all of you in cold blood with no regrets'." Hex chuckled. "My bad."

"Oh," The girl nodded, "Now I understand. You were just trying to protect your sister, uh…"

"Hope Lawrence," I introduced, smiling lazily, "But my friends call me Renny."

"Nice to meet you then, Renny. I'm Jeweletta "Scalezy" Scaleza."

"What a pretty name Scalezy," I told her.

"Thanks. Now, you, continue your story," Scalezy ordered Hex.

"Right. Where was I? Oh, yeah. Threatening Randy. Well, after that, I took you back to the OK house, put you on the couch, and put ice packs on you. Then I suggested we take away your love. You agreed to it, and I did the spell. And I locked the spell too."

"The heart and brain thing?" I questioned.

"Correct," Hex answered.

I cursed. "Why?"

"So you couldn't undo it, stupid!" Hex informed, "You always do that when I try to help you. Your broken leg, your babysitting service, and your flight are just a few that I helped you with that you undid."

"Okay. What happened next?"

"I went home. Today I woke up to my roommate shaking me awake, saying there was a reptile at the door for me. I marched downstairs, not before getting dressed, with a fireball in my hand. I flung the door open, and saw Scalezy here. We started to argue and fight, and ended up back here, where you split us up. Now we're here, and I'm explaining to you what happened last night until now. Okay. Done."

"Okay. Wait," I thought of what Hex had said earlier about my flight, "My...what?"

"Uh-oh."

"Hex, what do you mean, you helped me out with my flight?" I growled, "I never undid anything with my flight."

Hex gulped, and smiled. "Hex, what did you do to my wings?" I growled again.

"I-I…I helped you fly," Hex told me.

"Wha? How?"

"A spell. You saved Sullivan, remember? I helped you fly, but, only after we got our flag. A simple levitation spell, I swear!"

I sat in the grass. A spell. That's why I could fly. Hex cast a level one spell on me. "I am so sorry! I just wanted to help you save your friend!"

"What else? Is my strength a lie too?"

"Actually, yeah," Hex nodded.

"What?" I was weaker than I thought I was.

"You can only lift a good three hundred pounds, on your good days, if the spell was off you," Hex smiled weakly, "I'm so sorry."

"No," I sniffed, wiping tears from my eyes, "It's okay. I-I don't care."

I got up, turned, and ran.

"Renny!" Hex called after me, "Come back!"

I ran off in a random direction, away from Hex. Then I climbed a tall tree. "Renny!" Scalezy was sitting on the branch in front of me.

"Ah! What?"

"I think your sister was just trying to help you, okay? Don't hate her," Scalezy told me, "She just cares about you."

I smiled. "Thanks."

She pulled out a book, and I saw the cover, 'How to Make them Laugh'. "Them?" I chuckled.

"Children," Scalezy smiled.

"Yeah, kids can laugh at anything," I chuckled.

"No, human children." Scalezy rolled her eyes.

"What? Why? They could kill you with one touch!"

"I want to make kids happy and laugh. Not scared and scream," Scalezy looked towards the cloudless sky. She looked lost in thought. "I just think… if you stop to look at a human child's face you get to see how scared they are, and you got to stop and wonder...is this what we do to get energy to power our world? Scare little children? Right?"

I laughed at her attempted logic. "I don't know. They may be scared of us, but we gotta scare them, to have energy and power…indoor plumbing!"

"Yeah, but there'll still be scarers. I'll just be the first monster to make a kid laugh!" She smiled when she almost yelled that, "Sorry for yelling."

"Eh, I grew up with two brothers. I don't really mind," I chuckled. I looked at the big clock tower. "Eight thirty! Gee, Scalezy, it's been awesome talking to you. I really like being your friend, but I have to go."

"Alright," Scalezy smiled, "I'll see you around?"

I grinned. "Yeah. See you around Scalezy." I hopped off the branch, and ran towards the Oozma Kappa fraternity house, chuckling at my newfound friend's crazy ideas. I just never would have known that just nine years later, she and I would both be working on the same laugh floor.

A/N: But, Scalezy didn't get that honor. Mike did. All well..
