A/N: And now, the moment you've all been waiting for! The final even in the scare games! I do not own Monsters University. My other OCs, on the other hand, I do own. ON WITH THE STORY!
Renny's P.O.V.
I HAD to tell them were Dave was. I couldn't lie to my brothers and my friend! But, I was able to persuade them not to beat Dave up until after the scare games were over as, like I told them, "I could get eliminated from the games or worse!"
They agreed not to hurt Dave, and then I introduced Harry, Harvey, and Chase to my team members.
"Those are your brothers?" Terri and Terry asked in unison.
"Yep, and my friend Chase," I answered, smiling up at my brothers.
"They look nothing like humans," Art announced.
"We got more obvious and scary features than our sister," Harry told him, "Plus, it helps if you have a Dad who's a scarer. Word gets around."
"Tell me about it," I grumbled, "Now, they're actually pretty nice, so you don't need to be afraid."
"Well, maybe big, blue, and fluffy does," Harvey countered, cracking his knuckles.
"Harvey!" Harry and I yelled.
"Sorry," Harvey apologized.
"Maybe we should go," Chase spoke up, "It's late, and we need to get to our hotel."
"Right," Harvey nodded, "And you guys have a big day tomorrow, so you'll need your sleep."
"Alright, night guys," I waved goodbye.
"Night Hope," Harvey and Harry walked out the door after kissing the top of my head.
"See you tomorrow, Diamond," Chase gave me a hug, and then left, closing the door behind him.
"Diamond?" Don questioned.
"It's a nickname!"
-Time Skip to Sulley, Mike, and Renny's combined room!-
Mike was roaring in front of the mirror. I was sitting on the window's ledge and Sulley was lying in his bed, quiet as a mouse.
"We're going to win this thing tomorrow, Sull, Ren, I can feel it! We'll finally have our lives back on track." Mike plopped down on his bed.
"Hey, Mike? You know, you've given me a lot of really great scaring tips. I'd love to return the favor sometime," Sulley told him.
"Oh. Yeah, sure. Anytime," Mike replied.
Sulley got off his bed and moved a chest to the other side of the room. "We're doing this now?" Mike stood.
"Okay. You've memorized every textbook, every scare theory, and that is great." Sulley threw Mike's book out the window, nearly missing me. I heard a cat meow.
"Hey!"
"But now it's time to forget all that. Just reach deep down and let the scary out!"
"Huh. Just feel it," Mike paraphrased.
"Exactly. Go wild," Sulley confirmed.
"I don't know. I've kind of got my own technique," Mike replied.
"Give it a try."
Mike got in a stance and gave a roar. "Good, but bigger!" Sulley encouraged. Mike tried again, jumping off a chair. "Nope. You're thinking again. From the gut!" Mike jumped off the bunk beds and gave a roar. "Let the animal out!" Mike used the lamp as he roared. "Come on! Dig deep!"
Mike let out another roar and Mrs. Squibbles yelled up, "Boys! Renny! It's a school night!"
"So, how was that?" I gave him a small smile and a thumbs up.
"Up top," Sulley raised his hand, which Mike hit.
"You know, it did feel different! I feel like it's all coming together." Mike, Sulley, and I went into our beds. I closed my eyes and heard Mike say, "Yup, this time tomorrow the whole school is finally going to see what Mike Wazowski can do."
Sulley let out a chuckle, "You got that right."
-Time Skip To The Next Day!-
The entire school was singing our school's anthem at the final scare game. Everyone had their hands on their hearts. "Monsters University, we give our heart to you. Wherever children are dreaming, we'll bring them nightmares, too. Oh, Monsters University, Alma Mater hail to you."
"Welcome to the final competition of the scare games," Claire announced. Then, the crowd cheered and the band played. My team and the RORs walked closer to the white starting line.
"It's time to see how terrifying you really are, in the scare simulators!" Brock announced.
"But be warned. Each scare simulator has been set to the highest difficulty level," Claire told the teams.
"The highest level?" Squishy asked.
"First scarers to the starting line," Claire ordered.
"Okay," Mike turned to the rest of us, "Just like we planned. I'll go first. Then, Don-,"
"Hold on," Sulley cut in, "Mike's the one who started all this and I think it's only right if he's the one who finishes it. I think you should go last."
"Yes!" All of us agreed.
"Yeah, Mike. Finish strong!" Squishy told him.
"All right. Don, you okay going first?"
"I guess I'm as ready as I'll ever be," Don answered Mike.
"Oozma Kappa!" We all cheered.
Don ran over to the starting line next to the RORs player, Reggie Jacobs. I heard him muttering something, but I couldn't hear what. "Hey Bruiser!" Johnny yelled to Reggie, "You take it easy on grandpa." Reggie gave a laugh.
"Unleash the beast, Don!" Art yelled to him.
"Beat the greenie!" I called.
"Okay, then," I heard Don say.
The buzzer sounded, went from red, to yellow, to green, and then Don and Reggie were off. They ran across the field to their simulators, and looked at their assigned child's file.
Then they went inside. Don opened the door, walked in the room, and closed it. He took a look at the room and his mustache drooped for a few seconds.
Reggie went into the room, fell on a toy, which woke the simulation child up, and then he roared. He didn't get many points for his team, only two slots.
Don was climbing across the ceiling, and when the robo-kid woke up, Don jumped down and scared him! He got three slots for the team! Our team cheered. Don said something to Reggie, and they both came back down to their teams.
The toys were cleaned up and replaced. "Next group to the starting line!" Terri and Terry were up next against Chet. Chet avoided the toys and then just scared the robo-kid, earning him a few more slots for his team.
Terri and Terry entered like a human adult, then let out roars as they went back into their normal position. It scared the robot child, and earned us more slots.
Next was Squishy, and he scared the kid using that quiet as a mouse skill he has.
"Art, you can do it," I encouraged him.
In the simulator, Art dodged the toys, and rolled under the bed to the other side. He gave the kid a fright, but it wasn't enough to put us over the RORs score.
"It's okay Art. That was still really good," I told him as Sulley got up to the starting line.
"Next up, Sullivan and Boggs!"
The buzzer sounded again, and they were off. Sulley looked at his kid's file for a minute and ran inside. He dodged the mobile, avoided the toys, and ducked in front of the robo-kid's bed, out of the robo-kid's view. Then he jumped up, and gave a big, loud roar. It lasted for a good three seconds! His roar made us almost equal to the RORs' score! Only one slot away!
As he ran back, the rest of Oozma Kappa cheered for him. Then I saw Randy. He was pink with hot pink hearts. He looked at himself and gasped. "Way to go, Boggs!" I heard Chet scold him.
Then, he looked right at Sulley. He said something, and I could just make out, "That's the last time I lose to you, Sullivan."
"Lawrence and McAllister," Brock called.
Dave and I went to the starting line. "You're going down, Renny!" Dave laughed.
"No, I'm not," I smirked, "I've practiced."
"You-,"
"Hey Renny!" Fang called.
I looked over to my friend and saw her, Marie, Hex, Chase, Harvey, and Harry sitting next to each other. Harry had a wife beater on, showing more of his tattoos. Harry, Harvey, and Chase were all glaring at Dave.
"You can do it, sis!" Harvey, Harry, and Hex called. I gave them a smile, and then the buzzer went off. Dave and I ran across the field, and I looked at my kid's file for a few seconds. She was five, and scared of thunder and bears. I huffed, opened the door, walked through it, and saw the mess of the kid's room. I quickly closed the door, and ducked down in front of the kid's bed. I thought for a few seconds, and gave a little sigh, not loud enough to wake the fake kid.
Then I realized something. I realized something BIG. Maybe I couldn't do it. Maybe I was just a stupid idea that I could become a scarer. That I couldn't scare the robot kid. Maybe it was just a stupid dream…
No. I CAN scare the robot, and I can scare it good! And even if I couldn't, I'd still try, and that's what mattered. I gave a small smile, stood up, and saw the kid was still asleep. Perfect. I extended my wings and held up all my arms and bared my fangs. Then, I let out a shriek. It was a cross between a banshee scream and a bear's roar. It woke the kid up immediately, making the kid scream. When the kid saw me, it screamed even louder!
When the kid stopped screaming, I left and saw Dave standing there with a smug look on his face, but when he saw the score board, he pulled his arm back, and punched me in the jaw, knocking me over. In front of the whole school. AND THE DEAN! All because my team's points were equal to his team's points.
The crowd got quiet and Brock announced, "That is a foul! McAllister's points are taken a-,"
"No!" I yelled.
"What?" Brock asked.
"I want this to be fair game! I don't care he punched me!" I growled at Dave, "Don't take the points away!"
"Alright, they won't be taken, if that's what you want," Brock nodded at me, "Worthington and Wazowski, to the starting line."
I walked over to my team and passed Mike as he walked to the starting line. When I stopped walking to my team, I felt something in my mouth. I reached in, and pulled out one of my sharp teeth. I glared at Dave, and another tooth grew in the old one's place. I had this spell on me that if I lost any of my adult teeth, another would grow in its place.
I hadn't noticed that Mike was already in the simulator, at the end of the bed, out of the kid's view. Then he jumped on the bed, and let out the biggest roar I ever heard from him. He won the game for us.
Mike won. No, WE WON! "They did it!" Claire yelled, shaking Brock.
I looked over at the RORs and saw they were all in awe. I laughed as our team ran over to Mike, and Mike was picked up by Sulley and Terry and Terri. "We're in the scare program!" Sulley cheered. My smiled got wide, and I almost fainted. Almost.
"We did it!" Mike yelled, raising the trophy we won in the air.
A/N: Yay! They find out the truth in the next chapter! Review!
