Once Ryoko and Gaara got o the Mitsuri compound, they passed few. They entered a small building off the main house, and Ryoko removed her cloak and pulled her hair into a messy bun. The full moon's light spilled through a hole in the ceiling. There was Jashin's symbol carved everywhere, and two scythes crossed at one wall. Gaara looked around in wonder, as Ryoko pulled off her nin pants and slid her body into a flowing dress that was open in the back to show Jashin's brand.

″Welcome," She purred, ″To Jashin's temple." Gaara just stood there and blinked, and she continued, ″Remove your weapons and leave them in the doorway, and we will begin the cleansing." Gaara nodded and did as she said. Ryoko pulled a book from a shelf and flipped through it. She nodded and slit her wrist, a shudder went through her body as the blood spilled, she put the blood into a bowl and smiled, not paying heed to the blood dripping from her fingertips.

″Gaara no Sabaku, are you ready to become a child of Jashin?"

″I am." Gaara smiled serenely. Ryoko smiled back and ordered him to remove his cloths,

″lay bare beneath the eyes of Lord Jashin." she purred Gaara nodded, and lay in the pool of moonlight. Ryoko walked over and began drawing on the wooden floor with the bowl of blood. Eventually the circle passed over Gaara's legs, arms and forehead. Then it became obvious she was drawing the symbol of Jashin over his body. When she completed it, she smiled at Gaara, her face was relaxed and serene,

"Gaara, love, this will only hurt a little before Jashin's influence takes the pain away." she warned Gaara before she placed the dagger against the skin above his heart and chanted as she cut into his skin. He took a breath in, he had never been physically hurt before, but he had never been with out his gourd either,

"Kono tamashī ni watashi no omo o kiyome, anata no atarashī musuko wa anata no shukufuku o matte" she warbled out. Gaara closed his eyes and embraced the pain. A pain shot through his body like a lightning bolt and his world went dark.

When he opened his eyes he was in a large field with red grasses. There was a man there with long shaggy black hair, black dragons wings, and a fatherly smile. Gaara realized this was Jashin.

"Rise my son, I do accept you, and bestow upon you, the sight." Jashin touched Gaara's Head and pain erupted temporarily behind his eyes.

"Thank you, my lord Jashin." Gaara whispered. Jashin nodded, and Gaara noticed that there was a circular scar on his chest, the mark of Jashin,

"Ryoko is a good Daughter, bringing you to me. You will use your sand to reap the tainted souls, and cleanse them. And here is your necklace." Jashin waved his had and out of red sand a necklace mirroring Ryoko's formed, "Go now, Gaara of the Sand, you will need to make your Sacrifice and gain your immortality. There is a boy looking for you, by the name of Kabuto. He is a dark man, and his soul is barley saveable." and Gaara's world went dark again.

He woke and Ryoko was still chanting, when he opened his eyes, Ryoko's opened as well, and her face broke out in a grin,

"Your eyes." she seemed elated.

"What about them?"

"They're darker."

"Really?" He smiled "what color?"

"Well, they were like a sea foam color, now they are like... a dark like... toxic green." she smiled, "And your necklace it pretty. It looks like Sand Stone."

"Well. Lord Jashin has given b=me a quest. Hm a man named Kabuto seems to be trying to find me, and Lord Jashin wants me to sacrifice him."

"I've heard of Kabuto. Apparently he is actually a spy, for Orochimaru, and Jashin has already fixed Orochimaru." Ryoko grinned, and threw him his cloths. Gaara threw them on and they left the temple. Once they left, Gaara turned to his gourd, and held his hand out. It collapsed and formed into a scythe, the rest of the sand filtered around him, some forming into bracelets on his hands, others a necklace, an earring.

"Wow. Thats cool." Ryoko grinned as she strapped her scythe to her back. Gaara smiled, Ryoko noticed that he seemed more collected, less crazy. In truth, now that part of Jashin resided in Gaara, he kept the Shukaku in line. Gaara no longer had to worry about the Shukaku going crazy. Yoko and Gaara walked through the streets side by side, in the market place, there was still many places where there were people, as the pair walked together, they realized they were being followed by a boy with gray hair and glasses.

"Gaara, Kabuto is following us now." Ryoko whispered. Gaara nodded and they started walking towards a less populated area, a park. No one was there, and Gaara and Ryoko sat on a bench, and waited for their prey.
