Chapter 12
"Ok class you can all leave. Don't forget the paper you just have 3 weeks left." I say as the students leave the place leaving Rebekah and Caroline who has been kind of friends in the last couple of weeks.
"Are you going to the events Carol Lockwood is hosting?" Rebekah asks me sitting in my desk like it is the most normal thing.
"It's tomorrow right?" I ask and the two girls conform.
"I think I can go." I say and they start to smile. "Sebastian is going with you anyway."
"I know." She says with a smile. "What about you Caroline?"
"I am going as a hot single lady." She and Tyler haven't spoken with each other since he left town two weeks ago with Hayley after Carolina and him having a fight. The poor girl doesn't even know for sure if they are over or not. "Maybe you can go with me Val, you know cause a commotion." She says with a smirk and I can't help but smile at the girl. She sure has fire, I see why Nic fancies her so much.
"Of course, what time should I pick you up?" I say and she giggles a little bit.
"The party stars at eight, 15 minutes before?"
"Deal."
"I have the hottest date. Take it Becca." Caroline says and both girls leave the room laughing and talking about the party.
"So the red or the black?" I ask Sebastian as I stay in front of him in m y robe as he is drinking a glass of blood.
"The red always looks hot. You're going with curly hair." He observes and I touch my curls.
"Why should I go with the straight hair?"
"You look fine. Now get dress I need to pick up Becca."
"Actually don't worry about me." I tell him and he looks surprise but doesn't say anything.
"Oh my god." Caroline says to me when she opens the door. She is wearing a blue short dress with a simple silver belt making her soft curves stand out.
"You look beautiful Care." I compliment her.
"And you look … amazing. Mom I am going." She screams at the house and the sheriff appears and looks at me.
"You daughter is going with me. Don't worry I won't let her stay until too late."
"Go have fun. I am working tonight anyway. You both look beautiful by the way."
"Thank Sheriff."
"Please call me Liz."
"Ok. Time to go." Caroline says walking to the car and I follow her as she looks at my pumps. "You can drive in those?"
"Of course." I tell her smiling.
The Lockwood mansion as decorated in a simple but elegant way and as we set in I could feel Caroline felling a little tension as she as our arms are crossing each other.
"You will be fine. Tyler is idiot for leaving. Go. Have fun."
"I know and you should too." She tells me as we both enter the house here Mr. Lockwood comes to us.
"You girls look beautiful." She tells us and looks at Caroline with a kind smile. "Enjoy the night."
"We will." Caroline says dragging me to the room where everyone is. We are served some champagne which we both accept and everyone looks at us. "See we look hot." She says happy drinking her glass. "Come on let's have fun."
Elijah walks with Klaus and Kol to the room looking at the people talking in groups. The two older brothers turn immediately at the familiar laughs to see Caroline and Valeria laughing in a counter of the room.
"Wow." The two say at the same time and Kol looks at the two girls.
"I found the two hottest girls. Which one should I go for?" He asks his brothers who send him death glares.
"Try something I will dagger you."
"Can't we not treat anyone today?" Stefan appears with Damon and Alaric, both already drinking.
"My brothers are just scared that I will still they girls."
"Girls?" Damon asks and they follow their eyes two meet the two women talking with each other and smirks.
"Gotta say Elijah. How don't know why you could be so stupid." Kol says smirking at his brothers who just takes a deep breath. "Now I am going to actually do something useful."
"Don't kill anyone." Elijah warns him as we just leaves.
"Ladies you both look beautiful." Sebastian says appearing with an arms around the blonde original.
"You look amazing Becca. Can't say the same about you Bash."
"I'm hurt Val, I actually help you ticked the dress and that is how you treat me."
"You look cute baby." Becca says kissing his boyfriend.
"Cute?" He says pouting and we all laugh.
"Hot." She says giving him another quick kiss.
"Oh please you two make me sick." Caroline says and I nod.
"So your date is actually Caroline?" Sebastian asks me and I nod.
"I know, I have the hottest date." Caroline says giving me her arm that I accept. "What do you say about a dance?"
"Dance, really?"
"Yes. Come on."
Caroline and I danced together for two songs when Elijah interrupt us and asked me for dance.
"You need to ask my date." I tell him looking at Caroline with a smile and she smiles leaving us alone as he offers me his hand which I accept and we dance together.
"You look amazing." He tells me when we start dancing.
"Thank you. You look very handsome too." I compliment him and he dance together for some time just enjoying or bodies together and how they moved amazing well.
"You were always a good dancer." He tells me and I smile.
"I worked as a dancer or a dance teacher a lot of times."
"Really. That is very good." He says and then takes a deep breath.
"Everything is ok?"
"Yah. Just I lost a lot." He tells me a lot. At this I decide to tell him some things about myself that he doesn't know.
"I worked with diverse dance companies: Paris, London, New York, even in smaller places. Every girl and boy in our family knows how to dance. Sebastian and I teach them."
"Do they?"
"That I am immortal? Yes everyone in our family once they are old enough to understand discover about the supernatural world. The girls are still witches."
"Does everyone ever turned?"
"Yes, a long time ago, but she was killed by a hunter."
"I am sorry." He tells me noticing my sadness and I nod. It was time for everyone to be served food so we got to sit and for some strange coincidental (or better some Mikealson plane) Caroline and I were sitting with Rebekah, Elijah, Sebastian, Klaus and Kol. I sat between the two older members with Caroline between Rebekah and Klaus, and Sebastian next to Rebekah and Kol, who was next to Kol.
"Why am I separated from my date?" I say and Caroline and I start to laugh.
"Because people will start thinking you girls are dating."
"Maybe we are Kol." Caroline teases him and I smirk at him.
"Another Valeria I see." Kol says having a drink.
"Ignore Kol it's what all of us do." Becca says to Caroline and Kol gives her a piss look.
"No stupid five years old fight tonight." I tell the two younger brothers and Caroline looks at us.
"Kol and Rebekah have the tendency to start arguing like two 5 years old twines so Valeria plays the mother card." Nic tells Caroline.
"I have a hot mother as you can see sweetheart." Kol winks at Caroline and Rebekah and I roll our eyes.
"Do you always flirt with everyone?"
"I like pretty little things with sharp toungs."
"Kol stop before you end up with your neck twisted."
"Don't be jealous Nic. I am sure Caroline knows how much you fancy her am I right sweetheart?" I see Caroline looking embarrassed and Klaus looking at her with a nice smile which she returns to him and then appear to forget we were watching them but I see Rebekah smiling at me and I smile back. Yep they are into each other.
We were all laughing at the end of the night and we didn't even left the table. We had a lot of stories to tell and sure gave us all a lot to laugh at. At the end of the party Sebastian went home with Rebekah and Caroline invited me to stay with her.
"You and Nic were very close tonight." I tell her and she looks embarrassed again. "You know you can't talk to me. He can be my best friend but I give you a free card everything you tell me tonight won't be said back."
"I want to not like him but I can't. He's always charming and telling me sweet things. How he wants to show me the world and all those things then I remember what he has done to my friends and all the bad things but" She says but stop but I give her an encouraging look. "Then I see the way he looks at you. He liked you and when you were dancing with Elijah he was smiling, he was happy for you two. He cares about his family, at his own way, but he does."
"I need to show you something." I tell her and put my hands on her face showing her the human Nic: the young boy who used to play with me, the man who didn't believe any man was good enough for his sister, the lost boy who his 'father' hated, the way Nic was a here to Henry, the Nic in loved. Then I show her his transformation, my helping him when he turned for the first time, he being hold while his mother did the spell as I was trying to stop it (of course I end up with a twisted neck). I shower her what she needed to see and once she saw Caroline could speak.
