"Mother, did you have to pick a flight that was so early?", I whined from the downstairs bathroom, checking myself one last time before we left for New York City, where I originally come from.
"Stop complaining, Juliet. If we leave Japan in the morning, it will be night time over there in New York City. That means once we settle into our hotel rooms, we could just sleep.", she explained from the kitchen. I walked out of the bathroom and entered the kitchen. Naruto liked to make jokes about the bathroom and kitchen being so close together. He says that it's convenient to have a bathroom so close by to puke once people taste Lady Tsunade's cooking. He usually gets smacked upside the head by her for saying that.
"Grandma's right.", Naruto agreed, standing next her. I sighed and put a hand on my hip.
"Okay, okay.", I nodded.
Ding Dong.
"Who the hell could that be?", Naruto raised and eyebrow. I shrugged, dumbfounded as well.
"Sasuke and Sakura actually called last night.", my mother spoke up. Naruto and I got even more confused. I don't remember either one of them calling.
"When did they call?", Naruro asked. Looks like he didn't see a call from them either.
"Around midnight.", Tsunade shrugged. "They wanted to talk to you guys but you were both asleep. They couldn't sleep and wanted to go to the airport with you guys."
"Oh...wow...", I trailed off. Naruto and I looked at each other and realized that they were still waiting at the door.
"Crap!", Naruto called out and both of us ran to the door. Naruto swung the door open and we saw them. They looked like...well...shit. They both looked super sleepy, and looked like they could drop at any moment. It didn't help that Sakura didn't have any make up on. Well, I didn't have make up on either, so I shouldn't be talking. Sasuke and Sakura both looked up at us and smiled.
"Hi guys.", Sakura barely said. They must be REALLY tired.
"You guys.", I squeaked, almost tearing up. The fact that they lost sleep over wanting to see us before we left means so much to me. I've never had anyone care that much before. Sasuke and Sakura's tired faces grew a little worry onto them.
"What's wrong?", Sakura asked, the concern showing in her voice.
"Shouldn't you be at home sleeping. It's 5:30 in the morning.", I reminded them.
"Well, we didn't want to spend our Summer feeling guilty for not saying bye to our best friends!", Sakura explained. Remember how I said that Temari is my best friend instead of Sakura? That's because I find Sakura like a sister to me, instead of just a friend.
"You guy's are so sweet!", Naruto squealed. Sasuke just shook his head at his male companion's squeal.
"Haha, took the words right outta my mouth.", I agreed as I moved out of the way to let them in. Sasuke and Sakura walked into our house and I shut the door behind them.
"Hi Lady Tsunade.", Sakura greeted my mother. Sasuke just gave her a small wave.
"Hi Sakura, Hi Sasuke.", she greeted them back. "Are you guys hungry?"
Sakura and Sasuke looked at each other wide eyed and then nodded desperately. Looks like they both forgot to eat breakfast.
"Haha, alright. We have just about enough time to make some pancakes.", my mother chuckled.
"Can they have chocolate chips?", Sakura asked, her eyes pleading. My mother laughed a little more at my hungry friend.
"Sure, Sakura. Sasuke, how would you like yours?", she then turned to my boyfriend.
"Plain is just fine, thank you.", Sasuke answered her. My mother then turned to Naruto and me. "What about you two?"
"Plain is the way to go.", I told her.
"CHOCOLATE CHIPS!", Naruto cheered.
"Nice choice!", Sakura high-fived him. Sasuke and I both shook our heads, smirking. Wow. Maybe the Uchiha is rubbing off on me.
Once we all ate, we drove to the airport and waited around for our flight to arrive. As the time passed Sakura's face grew more and more depressed.
"Sakura..", Sasuke started. Sakura looked at him.
"Yeah?", she asked him, looking like a sick puppy.
"Are you alright? You look like you're gonna puke."
"I'm fine Sasuke...", she told him, obviously lying.
"Alright, looks like our flight's here.", my mother said, looking at a T.V. that displayed flight information. We all stood up and walked over to Gate 8, which is where we were gonna enter our flight. Sasuke and Sakura couldn't pass beyond this point, sadly. I turned around and prepared myself for the horrible goodbyes.
"Guess this is it.", Naruto shrugged. Sakura and Sasuke nodded slowly.
"Yeah...", Sasuke sighed.
"Guess this is it.", Sakura repeated what Naruto said.
"I'll give you four some private time.", my mother said and turned around, handing a lady our tickets.
"Goodbye.", I chocked out and went to hug Sakura. She happily accepted my hug and hugged me back as hard as she could.
"Bye, man.", Naruto said to Sasuke and they both hugged. Their friendship is actually the cutest thing ever. I backed away from Sakura's grasp and saw her tearing up.
"Don't cry. Because if you cry, I'll cry.", I slightly giggled and began to tear up as well. My comment made her smile a little. She then turned to Naruto.
"Bye, Naruto.", she said and wrapped her arms around his neck.
"Bye, Sakura. See you soon.", he replied and wrapped his arms around her waist, slightly squeezing. I turned away from the two and looked at Sasuke. I gave him a sympathetic smile. He gave me one in return, leaned towards me, and pushed my body against his.
"Bye, darling.", he said, leaning in.
"Bye, Sasuke.", I responded, meeting him halfway. And there we stood in another one of his amazing kisses. He pulled away, eventually and gave me a smile.
"I'll miss you.", he told me. Wow. Did the Sasuke Uchiha I know really just say that? Maybe I am the only one who can open him up like that...
"I'll miss you too.", I smiled. Sasuke hugged me one last time and then broke our embrace.
"Okay, guys.", Sakura adjusted her skirt and wiped away a tear.
"See you in two months.", I smiled.
"Make sure to have a fun Summer!", Naruto added.
"Alright.", Sasuke nodded.
"Will do!", Sakura cheered.
Naruto and I turned around and began walking towards the gate.
"Bye guys!", Sakura screamed once we were a fair distance away.
"Bye!", Naruro hollered back. I giggled a little and got a little pink from being embarrassed by all their yelling. I turned back and saw Sakura waving madly while Sasuke was rolling his eyes and half smiling at her silly antics.
Naruto, my mother and I got onto the airplane, and got into our seats. Naruto was kind enough to let me get the window seat, which was great. Naruto fell asleep straight away because it was so damn early in the morning. I however, think it's time to reintroduce myself to life.
Hey there. So, my name is Juliet. I'm turning 15 on August 1st, which is about a month away. If you ask me how my life is going, I'll probably tell you fine. And I'll mean it. It's actually going very well. Why? Because I have a wonderful mother, who's a great principal; an awesome not-official brother named Naruto; a pink haired girl named Sakura that I consider my sister; a kick ass boyfriend named Sasuke Uchiha; two smexy best friends named Temari and Gaara; a lazy genius named Shikamaru; a sexy smart ass named Neji; and a bunch of other people who have become my closets friends. And guess where I'm going. Guess! GUESS. NEW YORK CITY! Yaaaaay! I get to visit my hometown! But now...I consider Japan my home.
I know, I know, it's cheesy as fuck, but hey.
We knew what we want.
And we got what we wanted.
A/N: It's over...how bittersweet. I hope you enjoyed my fan fiction! This was actually my first series, so I hope I did well. Good news though Chapter 1 of the sequel is out! It is called Yes, My Life is a Shakespearean Tragedy. So go read it! It's a long chapter too!
