Chapter 11

As much as Dean didn't want to believe Metatron, he had to admit (to himself, at least) that what the twisted angel might very well be true. Now, he just had to figure out how to keep the bastard from digging around inside Sam's skull. Maybe he could convince Metatron to come with him to the bunker, offer to drive them both and then stab him on their way there? He still had the back-up angelblade stuffed under the driver's seat. It could work, if he just-
The lights went off. The world just went completely dark. One, two, three seconds and- the lights went back on. And Dean was standing right outside the bunker.
"Sorry about the sudden departure, I just figured I'd move things along. It was getting awfully tedious." Metatron, who was stood beside Dean, started making his way to the door.
"Don't be a bad host, Dean. Go on, let me in."
Dean didn't feel he had another choice. He had no weapons, nothing up his sleeve. At least inside, they had the dungeon. At least inside, he had Garth, probably armed to the teeth.
He walked past Metatron and began unlocking the door.
"Garth? It's me. And I brought company."

There was a shuffling sound, a door opening and closing and out popped Garth, coming from Sam's room. He had a Glock in one hand, an angel blade in the other. He came at Metatron, charging until- Snap.
Metatron snapped his fingers and Garth went out like a light. He just dropped to the floor. Unconscious or-
"He's not dead. Just... Sleeping. I'll take those."
With another snap of the fingers, Metatron pocketed both the gun and the blade, before motioning to Sam's bedroom.
"I assume the patient is this way?"

Dean had no choice but the follow Metatron to Sam's bedroom. The space was mostly dark, only lit by the faint, yellowish glow of a tiny bedside lamp. Sam was asleep, his body twisted in an awkward angle, his hands still cuffed above his head.
Metatron smiled ominously.

"Ah. Unconscious, I see. Let's remedy that so we can get started."
