Peeta POV:
I start my walk down from the snowy plains into the forest setting. I guess the Gamemakers didn't want separate the apprentice and tributes to far from each other. Then I heard sound of crackle coming from the sky.
Snow POV:
"Make sure she doesn't find the Career Pack." I order looking at Peeta progression through the snow setting to the forest setting.
"Sir, do you want to rain?" Seneca ask ready to push the button.
"Yes," I answer to his question.
Peeta POV:
That crackling sounds is coming closer and I didn't want to stay and find out that is so I ran. What I didn't expect it will be raining fire. I try to stay clear of fire, but they keep pushing back into the snow plains. I stop running no fire will stop me from finding my master. I took deep breath and ran head first of the fire.
Snow POV:
"WHAT THE HELL SHE'S DOING!" I shout looking at Seneca.
"STOP HER, BUT DON'T KILL HER!" I order focusing on Peeta and look at the key I was given six years ago. "This can stop her, but this not the time for it." I thought seeing how Peeta is willing to go through the flames.
Peeta POV:
I cover my nose so I don't inhale flames; as I was running a small crack of ember land on my arm catching fire to my jacket I keep running I'm most end of this fire cave. Then finally I broke free, but I fell off small cliff I try my best protect my head as I roll downhill. I finally made to the forest, but no Master in sight and I don't want shout in case I attracted unwanted attention, so I continue my search for Master. After a while of walking I heard Master and the rest of Careers joking and shouting I hid among the bush and tress in case it was trap set up by the rest of apprentices. Once I saw the blonde hair of Master I carefully made my present made which cause Lady Glimmer and Lady Ray to attack Glimmer miss by two feet, but Lady Ray nicks me on the check with her knifes.
"Who goes there?" Master shouted as I watch as the Careers and Caesar got ready for fight I put my hands up in the air as I step out of bush and trees.
"I'm not your enemy." I stated keeping my cool.
"Peeta," Lady Ray shouted as she lower her weapon same with Master.
Normal POV:
"We were worry you didn't make through the blast." Clove said as we counties our search for the rest tributes and apprentices.
"Well I'm fine, and I'm ready to help." Peeta stated giving small smile.
"What happen to your arm?" Caesar asks looking at my burned arm jacket.
"A small forest fire; please don't make big deal out of it." Peeta assure the Career Pack making sure she wasn't burden to them. Caesar sighs as he grabs her arm looking carful at the wound. Cato grinds his teeth he wasn't pleased to see another man touching his Peeta.
"Peeta, you have second degree burns and if you keep this wound open it will get infect. If does get infect we have to cut your arm." Caesar informs Peeta on her condition "One of us has to take Peeta back to the Cornucopia."
"I'll take her." Cato stated as he takes Peeta's hand and led the other way from the pack. Cato kept his grip firm on Peeta. The two walk in silence.
"Master, you don't have to do that. I can take care of myself." Peeta spoke breaking the silence as the two stop walking. When they stop they were at river.
"Caesar said the longer the wound is open the more likely you'll get infection. Right?" Cato rephrases looking at Peeta's wound as she nod to words that Caesar spoke about before.
"Well lets collect some water before we head back to the Cornucopia to heal you." Cato stated as he pull out canteen from his jacket. When he put his hand in the water the water start turn red and Cato quickly pulled out his hand. His hand was stab by dagger and the dagger still in his hand. Cato rips the dagger out his hand.
"ALRIGHT, YOU SCAREID CAT SHOWS YOURSELF!" Cato shout as he reach for his sword as Peeta draw out her spear. Right now they are fighting invisible enemy and they are using the water to cloak themselves. For sure the water isn't safe at all for anyone go in. Peeta look around her surrounding for anything that gives them lavage over invisible enemy; until she heard splash she turn around only to find Cato going after enemy in the water.
"MASTER, WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" Peeta shout as she follow him to her this was beyond dangerous letting them walk into enemy territory completely blind and unaware what the enemy can do. The fact this enemy had no fear attacking her master means he's apprentice, but why attack him and not her. This confuses Peeta; they came to stop when they were neck deep in water far from shore and nothing is happing.
"Looks like they got away." Cato stated as he swim back to Peeta. Peeta felt small tugged on her pants. She gives small kick at first she thought it was fish, but second tugged pull her down.
"MASTER!" Peeta shouted as water filled her lungs.
"PEETA!" Cato shouted as he dives in the water.
When Cato was underwater he spots Peeta fighting with District Four Apprentice. Their choice in weapon was net and machete; Peeta was caught in net as she struggles to get free. Four raise the machete for clean stab into Peeta's stomach, but Cato quickly swim towards the fight grabbing Four's arm breaking Four's wristed making him drop the machete. Four try to fight back with their free arm, but Cato snaps their neck. Back on land canon went off the Career pack look up to see who had fallen it show Apprentice Four's picture.
"Looks like Cato killed Four." Caesar spoke as he leads pack back to the Cornucopia.
"What do you mean Cato killed Four?" Clove asks looking Caesar "I thought tributes can't kill apprentice due to their advance training."
"True, but Four's method of killing was weak. You see his original target was Peeta since she wasn't trained to fight underwater making her easy killed, but when he spot Cato and her he got cocky and that was his downfall." Caesar explains looking head spotting the Cornucopia "But Peeta will feel great shame."
Back at the river Cato resurfaces with Peeta on his back and swimming back to shore. Cato place Peeta on her back he rest his ear on her chest checking her heart beat 'It still beating.' Cato thought as he examine her for any injury, but no injury he can see he sigh in relief, but he lean forward to hear her breathing Peeta's breathes were shallow. Cato tilt Peeta's head up, and he pinch her nose and kept her head tilt up, so he can do CPR when he was about put his lips on her lips she cough out the remaining of the water.
"Master, I'm sorry." Peeta stated as she tries to get up.
"Hey, don't be sorry. It was my fault I was stupid enough to go after them." Cato said as he help Peeta. She shook her head in no.
"No, wasn't I was supposed to protect you not the other way around." Peeta argue as she try to keep her balance. Cato sigh at Peeta's pathetic attempt in walking he pick her up throw her over his shoulder.
"Master, put me down this instead." Peeta yelled as she hit his back. Cato pick up his weapon and her weapon and continue their way back to the cornucopia as the sun sets.
With Snow:
"Sir, she still alive." Seneca reported "But her powers didn't surface."
"What about Ms. Everdeen?" Snow ask looking two different monitors showing Katniss and Peeta.
"She's sleeping in one of trees, but alive." Seneca answer.
"Make sure those two don't cross path until end of the games." Snow order as Seneca change the arena.
"Sir, I hate to pry, but why do you want the arena change?" Seneca ask looking at Snow.
"Let's just say natures two strongest forces will clash making this year's closing unforgettable, for years to come." Snow answer as he leave Seneca confuse looking at two girls.
