A/N - I own nothing but owe everything to Suzanne Collins and E.L. James. Smut ahead...

KPOV

Luckily for me, Taylor wasn't kidding about hunting before, because he is just as silent as Gale was when we used to go hunting. I'm not sure how someone like him got that experience being in the Capitol, but I'm glad he does. I think that Christian would have gotten in the way somehow. Not because he's loud or anything, but because I don't think he would have known how to handle the woods. I make him stop once so I can try out the bow, loosen it up a bit since it was probably bought right before we left and no one has used it. I take a couple of shots at leaves that Taylor throws up in the air, hitting all but one and he just nods. There is a slight breeze, but not enough to deter my arrows from their targets. It is getting chillier by the minute though and I know we can't be out here for too long before all the animals have gone to sleep for the night. Any nocturnal ones about I don't really care to shoot at.

Once we get really going, about another twenty minutes later, I don't have to say anything to Taylor; he must have seen a rabbit or two and threw a couple of rocks to get them out of hiding, letting me effectively hit three. He says nothing, but when he goes to retrieve them, has a slight smile on his face when he sees the arrows have gone straight through their eyes.

But with five grown adults, I decide to keep looking, and he doesn't suggest otherwise. Yet after twenty more minutes of only hearing the night bugs coming out and seeing nothing, we decide to go back to the camp.

"Let me gut them out here though, I wouldn't want to do that in front of Christian." I tell him after about five minutes of walking.

Taylor turns to me with a slight shake of his head, "Miss Everdeen, he has seen much worse, I can attest to that."

"I'm sure he's seen plenty, especially growing up watching the Games, but this is something I don't need to share with him at the moment, if that's okay?" I reply as I take the rabbits from his shoulder.

He nods and hands me a knife that I didn't realize he had from under his pants, lined in his boots. "I'll make sure no other animals come near then."

I get to work swiftly, slicing straight down the middle of the back of the rabbits and pull the fur away quickly. I had perfected my technique ages ago and can skin and gut a rabbit in less than a minute. It's just been over a year that I've done so. But it doesn't take much to remember the feel of it and within five minutes, they are ready to be put on a stick and roasted. I leave the entrails for any lurking animal; we have no need for them. I'm tempted to keep the skins, but it'll be days before we reach 12 and there's no place to put them.

We walk back just as silently as we walked in until we can see the fire started by someone and hear voices getting closer. I notice Taylor's face to seem to lighten as we get closer too after Gail laughs at something someone said. He loves her that much is obvious as his step quickens just a step or two ahead of me. Then I hear Christian laugh and smile at the image since I can't see his face just yet. There's something deep in my belly that warms at the thought of his smile and I can't wait to get back to him. But I also need to clean up.

It's Gail who notices us first and her smile widens as Taylor holds out the rabbits. "Look what Miss Everdeen caught."

She stands up, shuffling past Christian and Andrews as they turn. The raw meat doesn't seem to phase her at all as she takes them from him and returns to the fire, sliding their bodies over slightly thick branches and over the fire. After poking at the fire a bit to get the flames higher, she comments, "These are plump ones. They must eat well out here."

"There's plenty of shrubs with berries out there, that's for sure. But I didn't detect any large predators, not to them anyway. There are probably owls, I heard some coming back." I reply as I go to the Jeep to put the bow and quiver in their rightful case. I have my back to the fire as I'm doing this, but can see that Christian has gotten up to come to me.

He kneels down next to me, handing me a wet towel. "I figured you'd need to clean your hands."

I smile up at him and take it, "Is there somewhere I can really wash my hands though? I gutted them out there so I wouldn't have to here."

"Yes, we found a small lake not too far. Let me grab one of the flashlights and I'll take you. It'll take a little bit for those to cook anyway, right?" He sounds excited and almost like a child who wants to go exploring. Just something else I'll have to tuck away in my mind. Christian straightens himself out after I nod and opens a bag in the Jeep. He pulls out a large flashlight and what looks like soap and another towel. I don't know how they thought to put all this in here on such short notice. I seal away the case alongside it and we set off.

When Christian makes to grab my hand to hold, I pull it away, shaking my head, "No, they're gross right now. I swear once I'm cleaned up, we'll hold hands again."

He grabs it anyway and laces his fingers through mine tightly. "I can always wash my hands too."

A giggle comes out of my mouth before I can even think to stop it, though I've noticed that since being with Christian, I don't hide myself as much as I normally would. After we've gone into the other side of the woods, away from the fire and any prying eyes, he pulls my arm out, swinging me in front of him and leans his head down for a kiss. And I kiss I give him back, my body molding into his as if it had been doing it for years now. My mouth opens to allow his tongue access and let mine feel it. I can also feel the bulge growing against my stomach and want nothing more than to feel him inside of me. I pull away, in the direction we were already heading to, still holding his hand.

"The quicker I can clean up, the quicker we can continue this." I say, barely recognizing my voice as it sounds almost sultry. It takes him a moment to realize what I've said and before I know it, he's lifting me over his shoulder, practically running to wherever this lake is. My giggles flop out as the air is pushed from me as I bounce.

Within seconds, we're at the water's edge and I hurriedly clean my hands and underneath my nails, Christian doing the same once I'm done. In a matter of moments, he has me pushed up against a tree so that we aren't as exposed by the water, one of his hands kneading my breast while the other is working on my pants. I swat it away, knowing I can do the job easier and quicker and moving onto his as his mouth claims mine again.

I take a breath of air, panting hard as I push down his pants and underwear just enough to let his cock spring free. I swear he looks bigger right now but it could just be the excitement that has me tingling from head to tow, pooling in between my legs. I kick my shoes off, attempting the same with my pants but only get one leg free before Christian cups my behind and lifts me up, wrapping my legs around him as he enters me in one thrust.

"Umph! Oh yes, Christian, yes!" I cry out, the feeling of being full overwhelming and not enough at the same time. It seems like such a long time but I know it hasn't been, not really. His lips crash into mine once again and I suck on his tongue greedily, not having enough of him inside of me.

The bark of the tree is jabbing me annoyingly because of the way he has me pinned against it and I try to readjust myself without losing momentum, but he picks up on this and pulls me away, somehow laying me on the ground without having slipped out of me. The short grass covered land is cool beneath me, but I'm so hot right now for Christian that it's almost welcomed. He doesn't miss a beat though, pounding into me even harder and faster than before.

"Katniss, I've imagined this…" he starts, his words catching as I wrap my legs tighter around his middle, bringing him closer than before. "Ugh, yes, baby, that's it."

He can feel my walls tightening around him and he encourages me with the way his hand slides under my butt and squeezes while the other holds my waist, driving into me without abandon. I try to keep my eyes open, always try, but the flashes of white explode before I can stop them and I let out a high pitched cry without intending to. Both of Christian's hands land on my hips and he rocks into me achingly slows before the final slam of his hips against mine and releases into me with a deep groan. He practically collapses onto me, but somehow manages to hold himself up on one elbow before rolling over on his side, pulling me with him.

I take a few deep breaths, trying to control my thumping heart. It feels like it's going to burst out of my chest and at this moment, I can't think of a better way to go. When my pulse has slowed I smile, curling into Christian and asking, "So what was it you imagined?"

He looks down at me, dazed, happy, a light sheen of sweat on his brow, "Making love to you out in the wilderness."
