Dear followers, I'm very sorry for my lack of updates. It's been at least a month. My life kind of caught up with me etc.
Listening to the brothers' conversation he also heard Hero coming towards his hiding place. Being so competitive he didn't try to stop the other cat from meowing and pawing at the door. His reasons for hiding became invalid the moment the other animal ratted him out; it was a direct challenge on his ability to hide. When Alfred opened the door he didn't hesitate and immediately leapt towards Hero, going to pin him down.
"Dude Mattie when did you get this cat? I remember you saying you wish you could have one but that your landlord doesn't allow pets…" He trailed off before chiming back in. "Nice one! You've been hiding him away, huh? Great job! If Hero wasn't here I never would have known, he's pretty quiet."
"Y-Yeah. He's a really cool cat," Matthew whispered, catching his attention.
"Why thank you," the Prussian purred as he waved his tail back and forth. "You know that no one can beat this awesomness." Ears pricked he turned back to Hero, who's fur was fluffed out making him look three times his already large size. "You don't scare me furball." It didn't matter if no one understood him he got the general idea across.
"Mattie is he a stray that you picked up like that Gilbert guy? He looks a little rough to be a housecat," Alfred said, clearly thinking about the scar that now stretched across one of his eyes.
"W-Well yeah, but he's really sweet and I like him…" The Canadian was struggling to find a way to defend him.

"What did you name him? Does he even have a name?" His brother sounded skeptical. "He could have any number of diseases bro, get a cat that has had imunizations."
"Of course he has a name! And does that matter? It's not like he would ever bite me…" 'That would be really awkward,' he thought with a blush. Just imaging his cat form doing it gave his race a red tint, what would he ever do if the human Gilbert- No! Not thinking that way.
"His name is?" Alfred cocked his head to the side. "Don't be all suspensful bro." Even if he didn't approve of Gilbert he still wanted to know his name. That was so Alfred. Random name time.
"I call him Jasper right now, but I might come up with another name later." Satisfied he turned to see Gilbert's response and jerked visibly as the sight of the two cats silently fighting met his eyes.
"G- Jasper stop that!" He was surprised that the American hadn't noticed, but then again they were battling behind him.
It appeared to be a fairly equal fight at first; Hero was much larger than Gilbert, but the Prussian was quicker and smarter.

Almost hissing he took a swipe at Hero's face with his right paw, testing the other cat's reflexes. They were alright, the American's pet was so much bigger than him that any blows he dealt with his claws sheathed weren't doing any damage. 'I really didn't want to be to mean… But my awesomness will do anything to win!' Just as he was about to start the real fight he heard Matthew telling him to stop, also bringing Alfred's attention to them. 'It's now or never, this has to be resolved.' Ignoring both owners pleas or commands to quit it he manuevered himself behind Hero and jumped up onto his back, attempting to get a hold on his nape.
Almost immediately he began to slide off of the other cat's back so he scrambled toward his goal with more urgency. Finally reaching his goal he bit down, expectingg Hero to give up. Instead the larger feline rolled onto his back effectively crushing him. Screetching he let go of Hero's scruff and clawed at the larger's back trying to get him to move. His lungs were screaming for air but there was none to be found beneath the American cat. Vaugly he recognised the two humans trying to break things up, but they didn't physically intervene for fear of being scratched.
The cream colored fur was suffocating him more as each second passed. If he didn't escape it was possible that he would loose. Growling with renewed vigor he used all four of his legs to push up on Hero and lift the other cat up slightly. Gasping in air quickly he tried to move out from under the other but got crushed again.

"This has gone on long enough," he declared, worried about his albino friend. Without waiting he reached down and yanked upward on Hero effectively pulling him off of Gilbert. Even though the large feline was still hissing he held it out at arms length, unfazed by the animal's obvious discomfort and hostility. His brother's cat had lots of deep cuts running down his back from Gilbert's claws, but he didn't seem to feel the pain and kept hissing with his ears laid back paying no attention to the blood that was beginning to stain his fur.
"Bro this has gone on long enough. I was already going to get you a different, more mellow cat but now I definitly am. Jasper started a fight with Hero and hurt him pretty bad. He's unstable Mattie. You can't have a pet like that. I'll take him to the humane society for you tomorrow," the American said in a firm voice. Clearly he wasn't going to accept no for an answer and thought that there was no other option.
"Alfred," he said in a steady voice as he gently picked up Gilbert. "You cannot take this cat away from me. I'm an adult now and I can make my own choices. Would you like me to take your video games because they're not 'good for you?'" It had been a long time since he had stood against Alfred on anything and it felt nice to finally voice his opinions. "He probably just doesn't like Hero. Before you brought him here everything was fine; he wasn't violent at all. He probably has some sort of issue with other cats." 'This might be partially my fault, I did sort of promt Gilbert to try to show up Hero. I didn't mean in a fight though!'

When Matthew intervened and stopped their battle he didn't complain. He wasn't quite winning per say, and it would be better to continue fighting with Hero once he had the upper hand. A few seconds later when he was lifted he almost panicked; then he remembered that the Canadian had to have picked him up at least once already to bring him here for the first time. Relaxing into the blonde's arms he let his muscles go limp and examined the damage he had inflicted on his opponent. Much more than he had. Feeling victorious he began to purr softly, his ears straightening out and his fur flattening. There was no need to look intimidating anymore that Hero was restrained by Alfred. Him? He could get up whenever he wanted but Matthew was warm and it felt nice.
After the conflict with Alfred and Hero was resolved he and Matthew watched a murder mystery on TV. He understood why cats sat in people's laps all the time now; basically it was a warm, soft pillow that came with a built in back scratcher. Overall it was a very nice experience. When they fell asleep sprawled across the couch there was no awkwardness because he was a cat, and he decided that sometimes his alternate form was kind of nice.
If you want me to continue this feel free to leave a review or send me a PM. If not, this will be the end. Thank you so much for the people who were with me until the end on this through my erratic updates. (I feel pretty cruel for leaving everything for over a month... ^^"
