Ok, a lot of reviews on the last one. Mostly to say that you will kill me if I do anything like that again but still. Anyway I'm sorry for not posting earlier but here you go now. I think you'll like it.
"Downworlders aren't allowed in here!" The Inquisitor said angrily making me look at him from the bed.
Magnus on the other hand didn't pay any attention to him, his eyes on me as he kept holding my hand.
"Did you hear me? Don't play stupid and get out." He boomed again, stepping closer but being blocked by Izzy and Jace to do anything more than one step as they got in front of him and with that making me unable to see him too. My gaze falling onto Jace's back instead.
"I'm afraid we can't let you do that." Jace said sounding a bit threateningly.
"Let me guess, you two have something to do with this. " I heard him say. The tone of his voice threatening and authorative. "It's not possible for one of them to get in here unless he was invited."
"Of course we invited him here." Izzy retorted. "Our brother was dying and needed help." At her words I froze, feeling a cold shiver run down my spine. Was I really that close to dying?
Magnus squeezed my hand reassuringly, sadness in his eyes.
"Do you have any idea what you did? How many Shadowhunters you put in danger by bringing him here. Your brother. You put him in danger too. He could kill him easily while in a vulnerable state. Still can."
"He wouldn't do that." Jace argued.
"And how do you know that? If you're so sure about it prove it. Are you prepared to vow for him with your life?"
Before Jace or Izzy had time to answer that and surely get themselves in trouble by saying yes I let go of Magnus's hand and got up and out of the bed.
"Alec don't-" Magnus hissed at me but I already made up my mind and was talking.
"I am." I got out in a raspy voice. My head hurting like hell and feeling a little dizzy so I had to keep myself upright by holding onto the bed.
Jace and Izzy both turned around to look at me in shock and by doing that letting the Inquisitor do the same.
"You're awake!" They both said in the same time.
"Of course I am. I've been awake since you came in here." I said trying to stand upright but failing. Before I fell onto the floor and hit my head again, familiar arms caught me and held me upright.
"Thanks." I gave Magnus a small smile before turning back to the Inquisitor.
"Get your filthy hands off of him."
I glared at him as he said it, willing myself to stay calm because otherwise they will throw Magnus out and I'm not letting that happen. I just got him back.
"Magnus has been healing me for quite some time now and he won't do anything." I said as calmly as possible as I looked the Inquisitor in the eyes. "And I vow for him with my life and will be next to him every minute of every day if you want to but he will stay here in case anything else happens and someone needs healing again."
"He's not staying here. He wasn't supposed to be here at all." He said sternly.
"Yes he is. With all due respect considering everything that has been happening I think that keeping him here will be a really good investment."
Talking about Magnus like a thing that is owned and not a living being made me sick but I still kept going, knowing that that's the only way I'll be able to make him listen.
"And where do you intent to letting him stay? After all you said you'll be by him all day long." He asked and I sighed inwardly out of relief. He's giving in.
Before I even had time to think about something that may work in that issue Jace cut in. "Alec and I share a room. If I go and sleep with Max Magnus can take my bed."
The Inquisitor looked from one of us to the other before stepping back. "Ok. If you keep to that and he doesn't do anything out of line well let the Downworlder stay." He said making me smile. "But one thing out of line and there will be consequences. For all of you."
And with that he turned around and walked out of the room. All of us visibly relaxed when he did.
"Listen here." Jace turned to Magnus who sat me down on the bed. "Don't you dare even go near my bed. The only reason why I'm really going to go sleep in Max's room is because I really don't want to sleep in a same room as you two, especially when I know you won't do that much of sleeping after being apart."
I blushed and everyone else laughed.
"Darling are you feeling good?" Magnus whispered into my ear.
"Yes. I'm fine. Thank you for healing me." I looked at him as he sat next to me.
"I always do." He said with a smile before leaning in for a short kiss. "I'm happy you're better now. You scared me."
I leaned my forehead onto his when we broke apart and gave him a small shy smile. "I'm sorry."
He leaned in for another kiss.
"Ahhh My eyes hurt." Jace cried out making me stop and look at him. He was covering his eyes but had a smirk on. "Magnus would you please not make out with my brother while I'm still in the same room."
"Then get out." Magnus started simply.
I smiled wider. I missed this.
I turned and pecked Magnus on the lips one more time before turning to Jace and Izzy to which he pouted slightly. But the next second I caught his hand in mine and the pout turned into a smile.
"Jace stop it." I called to him playfully and he did as I ask, a little hesitantly but still did.
"Ok now tell me what happened after I was out."
And he did. Actually all three of them did. Cutting in when needed.
It ends up that Sebastian ran away and disappeared by the time Max brought Jace like I ordered him to. And by then I was barely alive so Jace immediately called Magnus who abandoned everything and portaled here. Jace and Izzy literally had to fight their way with him to the room they left me in and after hours of healing here we are now.
The through that I was so close to dying wasn't something that hasn't happened before but it still scared me. But Sebastian missing scared me even more. What if he goes after me again? Or even worse, after Max. I don't want that to happen.
"Hey stop worrying so much." Jace said with a smile trying to look reassuring. "Everything will be just fine. You'll see."
"I hope so." I mumbled as Magnus rubbed my back soothingly.
"Alec!" Max ran into the room and right to me, crashing into me and hugging me tightly. I would have topped over if I wasn't already sitting down.
"You're ok. I'm so happy that you didn't die." He said hugging me even tighter at his words.
"I'm fine. It's ok Max." I pried him off of me so I can look at him. And what I saw were tears. "Hey don't cry." I dried them off with the sleeve of my shirt. "Everything is ok. No reason to cry."
"You saved me and got hurt yourself. Thank you." He looked up at me with tearful eyes.
"No reason to thank me." I gave him a small smile, passing a finger down his wet cheek as the tears kept flowing. "I'm your big brother. It's my job."
He nodded, trying to calm down. "How are you feeling?"
"I'm fine. The room stopped spinning and nothing hurts anymore thanks to Magnus. So I'm completely fine. See?" I got up on and off the bed to show him that I really am fine. This time now swaying or feeling like falling down as the room really did stop feeling and I was fine now.
"Good. I'm glad."
"Ok Max I think we should let Magnus and Alec go in their room so Alec can rest." Jace said getting behind Max and pulling him a few stapes away.
"Why?" Max looked up at Jace confused. "He said he's fine."
"Yes but by the look on Magnus's face I don't think we will be for long if we don't let them go."
I looked next to me at Magnus who really did look annoyed.
"What?" He looked at all of us before looking back at me. "I just want to kiss you. I haven't seen you in days."
I shook my head in disbelief at how impatient he is but still took his hand and brought him up on his feet.
"I missed you too." I whispered to him and before I knew it he was kissing me. And it wasn't a short kiss like before. The second I kissed him back he deepened it.
"Oh go get a room you two." Izzy cut in and we broke apart.
"Yeah just go." Jace said, covering Max's eyes as he did.
"Hey stop that." Max complained making us all laugh.
"No need. We're gone." Magnus said pulling me with him out of the door and towards my-now our-room.
