"Oh! You two are back already?" Mamabuscus frowned, opening the door after hearing Toby's car park into the driveway.
"We made an early exit," Toby whispered, as he carried a sobbing Kryhs inside the house.
"Why on earth are you carrying- oh dear Kryhs! Are you okay? Toby, what's going on?" Mamabuscus suddenly asked, trying to figure out what the huge situation was about.
"I'll explain it to you in a second, I just need to put Kryhs down for a second," Toby hissed to her, as he carried Kryhs into her bedroom, placing her on the bed and tucking her in like she was his little baby. In the state that Kryhs was in, that was exactly how she needed to be treated since she was a shaken up mess who couldn't do or say anything since they left Comicon. Mamabuscus started the coffee machine and waited for Toby to finish what he was doing.
"T-Toby do you think he's going to find me again?" Kryhs whispered to Toby, still clinging onto his neck and her eyes full of fear.
"No," Toby said softly. "So stop worrying, Kryhs, okay? You need to go to sleep otherwise you're just going to stress yourself out."
"Toby I'm scared," Kryhs sobbed, feeling herself go slightly insane with paranoia.
"I know, but I'm here and my mom's out there, the window's are closed and the blinds are down, nothing is going to happen I promise," Toby said firmly, wiping Kryhs' damp curly brown side fringe away from her cheeks and behind her ear. "Do you want me to stay with you until you sleep?" But Kryhs didn't answer, she was asleep already. "Good night Kryhs," Toby murmured, kissing the top of her nose before leaving again and shutting the bedroom door behind him. Mamabuscus had by this time made two cups of steaming coffee and taken the cookies out.
"Are you gonna explain now?" Mamabuscus asked Toby quietly.
"Oh, yeah. Kryhs went to the toilet in Comicon and had claimed that she turned around and saw Danny standing there behind her, and got really freaked out and couldn't breathe and started seeing spots and we just had to leave, it was getting way too much for her to handle," Toby explained in one whole breath.
"Seriously? He found her?" Mamabuscus gasped. "Did you see him too?"
"No," Toby shook his head.
"So how do you know she definitely saw him?" Mamabuscus asked fairly.
"Mom I doubt she made something like this up," Toby frowned, wondering what she was trying to imply.
"I'm not saying she did, bless her. But you know Kryhs has been paranoid about this for a long time and I'm not surprised if she's seeing things. She didn't look right when you brought her in here, she was shaking and in tears and pale. Something's not right," Mamabuscus explained.
"Mom. She just saw her ex abusive boyfriend who put her mom in hospital and made her really sick, I wouldn't expect her to be too over the moon," Toby rolled his eyes, his stomach churning.
"You need to get her help," Mamabuscus told him quietly.
"Or we could just call the police for protection," Toby suggested.
"What, call the police for every day of your life? No I don't think they do that anymore, Toby," Mamabuscus told him, squinting her eyes.
"But mom I don't even know what he looks like," Toby groaned. "It's not even like I could pick him out."
"True," Mamabuscus nodded.
"And I didn't even know she was this scared of him," Toby muttered, more to himself than anyone else.
"She told me plenty of times, I thought she would have told you by now," Mamabuscus shrugged. "I guess she didn't because you were with Jenna back then and didn't really take any interest in her."
"Yeah well those days are over now and I need to take more care of Kryhs than I ever have before," Toby sighed, defeated. "I don't know what to do mom. I just don't know."
