What if Peeta was never hijacked? What if he was just plain and simply tortured by President Snow. We all know the happy reunion we were expecting, but never got. Here is my version of the ending to Suzanne Collins' "Mockingjay". Please read and review!

Approximately 1 year after Katniss & Peeta's return to District 12, we see the redevelopment of their relationship after an event takes place.

My imagining of "The Hanging Tree" from Mockingjay... There is blood on his hands. Her eyes are wide with fear. He whispers only one word. "Run."

When two of the most unexpected people find love during hard times, how will they cope? Can anything ever work out? He's damaged beyond repair and she didn't want this. haymitch x effie.

Gale is reaped, and suddenly Katniss carries the weight of both their family on her shoulders alone.

Roughly 8 months before the Reaping Gale is injured in a fight and Katniss asks Madge to hide him until things blow over.

Before Katniss & Peeta, there was Effie & Ezra Snow. I know, I know, check it out before you want to flog me. T, but probably like a "high" T.

The last two tributes in the Games... both are so close to living. But both are even closer to dying.
