Chapter 9: I won't let you go
"Merida? Meridaa! Answer me dear please! Let's go home!" The pounding of her racing heart, and the wheezing of her shallow breaths, are the only sounds that Queen Elinor heard through the forests. Then as she walked deeper into the woods, she saw a curly redheaded girl standing beside an enormous tree.
"Merida!" The queen quickly ran towards her daughter and gave her warm embrace.
"Mu-m?"
"oh darling! Where have ye been" I've been worried sick bout ye! Oh I miss ye!"
Its been 3 years of searching for her and of course years of sadness that she tried to fought and bear every single day, and now that sorrow she felt before turned into happiness. Elinor's heart was filled with so much joy. And now that she found her daughter, she hold merida's hand and told her that they're going back home but merida refuses by releasing her hand from her beloved mother.
"Merida" woo—tt are ye doing?" The queen was utterly confused and the two just look at each other with wide eyes open. Chilly wind, darkness and silence filled their surroundings.
"Darling woo—ts wrong" As the queen tried to reach her daughter's hand, Merida step backwards with a sadness painted on her face.
"Im sorry mother, I—I can't go home with ye." Merida lowered her voice and her head.
"Wott are ye talking about? Wo—t are ye saying dear? I—I can't understand? Why?" The queen blinked in confusion and lot of questions went out from her mouth and Merida was just looking at her. The queen again tried to approached her but Merida step backward and yelled at her mother
"It's just I—I can't!" The queen's eyes starting to form a tears and Merida saw it and she just can't bear seeing her mother that way. She sighed and gave her mother a warm hug.
"I'm sorry mum if I yelled at ye, I just can't gae home with ye." Merida broke off the hugged and she wipes the tears rolling down from her mother's face.
"I'm happy that I already saw ye mum. I'm happy that I heard yer voice, and feel yer loving embrace. I missed those things mum. I missed everything that ye dae tae me. I really wished I could stay longer with ye, with ye and dad and may brothers, but Its just that there is something I need tae dae." Merida made a small smile to cheer her mother somehow.
"Wot is it darling, please dae tell me maybe I can help ye." The queen placed her hands on her daughters face but all Merida did is smile and kiss her mothers hand.
" Mother please, I appreciated yer offer but ye can't help me sorry."
"Yes I can! Why can't ye tell me! I'm always here for ye Merida and ye know that! Just please let's go home. We waited and search for ye for almost 3 yrs and now that I found ye I won't let ye go!" The queen cried and gave her daughter a tight embraced. "Everyone is waiting fer ye darling. Yer father, brothers, the people of Dunbroch. Everyone is waiting fer ye darling. The kingdom will never be the same without ye. Please come with me. Come back with us." Both of their eyes and heart filled with tears and sorrow. Merida wanted tae tell tae her mother that she's doing this for her own sake but she can't because that's wot the deal is. After several minutes, Merida kisses her mother's forehead and she thinks its time tae let her mother go.
" I love ye mum. I love ye so much.."
"Oh I love ye too darling. Are ye going with me now?" The queen made a small smile hoping that her daughter's answer is yes but it's not. She still persuaded her to come but for one last time, Merida kisses her mother's face, smiled and took a stepped backward but the queen grabbed her hands tightly.
"I told ye I'm not letting ye go this time Merida! I can't afford tae lose ye anymore!"
Suddenly A little fog came in with strong wind ." I'm sorry mum, I love ye so much.. Please tell dad, Hamish, Hubert, and harris that I love them so much!I- really really sorryyy.. Please dae take care of yerself!" That's the time that Merida take off her hands aggressively from the queen's hand and run away.
"Meriidddaaa! NAeeee! NAeeeeee! Come backkk!" She run and run and screaming her daughter's name hoping that merida will show herself. Then she saw a two blurred figures. The other figure was like merida due to her rebellious hair, but she isn't sure if that figure is really her daughter but the other one seems unfamiliar.
"Merida!" A smile beamed on her face and quickly run towards the two figures but then she was stopped and she places her hand on her mouth. She fell on her knees and just wish that she didn't see it. Then a lightning struck the ground causing for her two see the other figure and….
"NAEEEEE!" Queen Elinor woke upwith a fearful cry, scanning her surroundings and breathing heavily. She tried to calm herself by inhaling and exhaling then after several minutes. She come up to her senses. The queen sighed and rubbed her forehead.
"Oh Merida."
While I'm writing this chapter, I don't know its just that I really enjoyed it well even though that writing it in English is you know kinda makes it hard for me. By the way thank you for CollieandShire for being so supportive and still shows interest to my story even though I updated it so and also for guest. Whoever you are thank you for your review and the rest of the people still reading this story thank you!=)) Hugs to all of you!=) The next chapter is still not about Merida so sorry but I promise that their will be a chapter for her I just trying to find how I am supposed to insert that scene..=))) again thank you to all of you!=) and I do also have a brave/frozen fanfiction.=) take care guys!=)
