OMG GUYS ITS THE FINAL CHAPTER OF A DRAMATIC SUMMER, there will be clato and Fannie moment. Also we are only gonna see the reaping in Katniss POV and after in Cato's, and annies.
OK LETS BEGIN!
Katniss POV
I wake up, feeling a bit cold. I move my hand to the other side of the bed but it's cold. Prim probably got a bad dream and went with our mother. Of course she will, today is the day of the reaping.
I stand up and change to khaki pant, a black v-neck shirt, and my hunting boots. I put my hunting jacket on and go out to the woods.
I get to the fence and make sure that it's off. It is. I go through the small hole and go to the woods, where I get my bow and arrows. I see a bird and shoot it. Right in the eye. I smile. I go to a strawberry patch and grab strawberries for the mayor and Madge. I know they love strawberries.
After a couple more minutes of gathering dead animals I get out the forest and to Madge's house and give her the strawberries. I go back home where Prim is wearing a white blouse, brown skirt and black flats. Her hair is in two braids
"You look so beautiful,"I say kneeling down.
"But you better tuck in that tail little duck,"I say tucking her tail.
"Quack,"I laugh and am about to get my green dress but my mom stops me.
"I have something for you on your bed,"I go to my bed and see a baby blue dress and black flats I change an redo my hair, when I'm done I see a normal seam girl about to go to the reaping in the mirror
"Now you look beautiful too,"My mother says but I still look at my reflection.
"I wish I looked like you,"Prim says. I go up to Prim.
"I wish I looked like you little duck,"I say and I hear the bell saying to go to the square. I get my mockingjay pin, pin it and go to the square. Once we get there Prim see's the sign in and instantly gets scared, she hates needles. We go to the side and calm her.
"Shhh there just gonna prick your finger for blood OK,"She nods and we go in line. They prick are fingers and I go to the 15 year olds and Prim goes to 14. I see Peeta, with a white shirt, khaki pants and black dress shoes, his hair is normal. He looks at me.
"You OK,"He mouths and I nod.
"Hi Katniss,"I turn around and see Dawn and Scarlet. I smile and say hi. Effie Trinket comes up.
"Welcome, welcome, welcome. Happy Hunger Games, and, may the odds be ever in your favor,"She starts talking about the games and the huge rebellion,and 75 years later there is one more hunger games.
"As usual, Ladies first." Effie goes to the bowl, 20 say Katniss Everdeen and one says Primrose Everdeen. She grabs a slip, opens it and reads it.
"Primrose Everdeen!"My heart stops. My baby sister is reaped.
"PRIM!"I yell and the girls move out the way and I run to Prim and put her behind me.
"I VOLUNTEER! I VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE!" I yell and Effie smiles.
"Looks like we got a volunteer,"Effie says. Prim goes back and I go up.
"Name?"
"Katniss Everdeen,"I barley talk. I am going to the hunger games.
"I bet my buttons that was your sister,"
"Yes,"
"Lets give a warm clap to Katniss Everdeen,"Only Effie claps but what happens next is suprising.
Everyone raises kisses there three middle fingers and put them up. It means thanks. It means admiration.
It means good-bye to someone you love.
"And now the boys," I look at Peeta and give him a don't volunteer look. He nods.
"Andrew Jenkins!"A boy with brown hair and grey eyes come out. He is pretty stocky.
"Shake hands,"Me and Andrew shake hands.
"Are final tributes of district 12, Katniss Everdeen and Andrew Jenkins," A peacekeeper comes and escorts us to the train.
"I get to say good-bye," I say trying to go see Prim.
"Katniss!"Prim yells.
"Not today,"I hear the guy say.
"KATNISS!"Prim yells and I look at her with a look that says "call the others," I enter the Train station with Effie and Andrew and see District 12 one last time.
Cato's POV
I'm walking around the district when I hear sobbing. I go to the source and see Clove, crying and sobbing.
"Clove?"Clove looks at me. Her eyes red and puffy. She runs and throws herself on me, crying on my shoulder. I run my hand up and down her back.
"What happened?" I ask.
"P-prim got reaped and K-Katniss volunteered and now she's going to the games,"She stutters and continues to cry and I'm depressed too. Katniss is like a sister and now, after everything she's done, from saving Peeta and Annie to healing Glimmer, she will now die.
"Don't worry Clove, Katniss is a survivor. She will win,"I say and Clove nods. I carry her bridlestyle and take her home. Knowing she has to leave to new york and not to capitol acdemy high tomorrow.
Annies POV
"LAST ONE TO THE BEACH LOSES,"My little brother Eric says. I run and that's when I hear familiar crying. I go under the boardwalk to see Finnick crying. His phone on his hand. It shows a picture his group.
"Finnick you OK?"I ask and he shakes his head no.
"Prim got reaped and Katniss volunteered,"He says in a shaky I freeze for a second. I mean yeah I act like I hate Katniss but I don't. She saved me and Peeta from being crushed and now had a chance of dying. She must be the kindest brave person I met. I hug Finnick, breathing his scent of Sea water and sugar cubes.
"Finnick, its gonna be alright,we just
Gotta hope Kat survives,"I say. We Sat in silence for a couple minutes before he left. He's so broken. But not only him but Kat too. Katniss is too.
And their beyond repair.
OMG Guys its the end of a dramatic summer and now we are going to let the games begin. Guys below is just a short paragraph of chapter 1 of book 3
Katniss POV
My name is Katniss Everdeen.
My home is District 12
The victors hate me.
Peeta hates me.
Prim got reaped for the hunger games
I volunteered
And now, I'm a tribute
But not a normal
But a broken and beyond repaired tribute.
