James: Hey everyone, sorry for the lateness again. We've been busy and that really slipped past us. But here we are with a new update.
Mel: Ya and I really think you'll enjoy this one, but it might not be what you expected. But I hope you enjoy it! R&R! :)
Chapter 17: Something is Creeping
Jay: Alright James, truth or dare?
James: Um...Truth.
Jay: Alright. Are you sure you never trained to fight like a ninja?
James: I'm sure. It just happens.
Lucas: It's because of the fighting prodigy in him, Jay. He may not have had any special training, but does fight like a ninja.
James: Can we forget about that and continue our game? *turns to see Melody coming from the hallway* Is he asleep?
Mel: Yes he is. What are you guys doing now?
Kai: Playing truth or dare. *sees the fireplace in the far corner of the room* But it would it be alright to have a fire since it's raining outside?
James: I think that would fun. I'll go grab some firewood from the garage. *gets up from the floor and headed to the garage and grabbed pieces of firewood and old newspapers to help start it. Walks into the kitchen to grab a lighter from a drawer and headed to the fireplace. Opens the flue to the chimney and stacked the wood on the grate with newspaper underneath. Rolls up a torn part and lit on fire and placed it in the flue to let smoke travel up the chimney and set the other paper on fire, but soon died before he could light the fire.* Dang it. *clicks the lighter a couple of times to get it starting, but failed. Suddenly looks at his hands an looked over his shoulders to see everyone was distracted and back at his hands. He thought of his hands engulfed in the black flames and suddenly felt his hands become warm, but needed to concentrate and suddenly thought about his dream the other night and suddenly the black flame appeared on the tip of his finger and set the firewood on fire and blew his finger out.* There we are.
Mel: Thanks James. Who wants another helping of ice-cream?
Everyone: We do.
Mel: *giggle* I thought so.
Everyone but Lloyd: *troops into the kitchen with their bowls and helped themselves to another serving*
Mel: *walks into the pantry and looks around and found a can of nuts and a jar of caramel sauce and walks out* I got some peanuts and caramel sauce for toppings. What did you find, James?
James: *looking in the fridge and pulled out whipped cream and chocolate syrup* I got whipped cream and chocolate syrup. *and placed it on the counter with the ice-cream* Add any toppings you want, guys.
Cole: Why didn't we have this out before when Lloyd was still up?
Mel: Because he would probably put lots of chocolate and caramel on his and give himself a sugar high rush.
Lucas: *chuckles and put caramel sauce on his* That's something my cousin would do. That's why I always monitor him all the time when we have ice-cream back at home.
Zane: I'll agree with them both. When it comes to sweets, Lloyd likes to consume as much as he can. He can't control himself.
Nya: Like a little vampire, but with sugar and not blood.
Everyone: *laughs and added their own toppings*
James: *puts the ice-cream back the freezer and started heading towards the living room* How about movie, guys?
Kai: That sounds great. What do you have here?
James: *places his bowl on the end table and opens the cabinet under the TV to rows of DVDs* Let's see...No...No...No...N-wait a minute...Perfect.
Cole: What did you find?
Mel: Oh-no. Not what I think it is.
James: Oh come on Mel, don't be like that. They'll like it. Plus Lloyd is not up so we can watch a scary movie without him having nightmares. This movie is the movie before my favorite one because it's a series and you'll like it. We can do a movie night for the other three and won't deal with Lloyd waking up scared.
Jay: What is it?
James: It's called Alien.
Dawn: That does sound like a scary movie. And I wouldn't mind watching it.
Mel: Oh boy.
James: Don't worry Mel, if you get scared like all the time, you'll be safe with him. *and in response he gets a tongue stuck at him* Whatever. *turns the Xbox on since it acts as a game console and DVD player at the same time and placed the movie in the tray and turned the TV on and sat down on the lounge chair while the others sat on the couches or other lounge chair or floor*
*An hour later*
Mel: Why would he choose this movie? He knows I don't like scary movies because I would have nightmares of whatever that kills the other people attacking James? But I liked that he said if I ever got scared, I could snuggle with him on the chair and feel safe with him.
Jay: It's above you! Don't look up!
Everyone: *jumps scared, but James, as the black alien with no eyes was above someone named Brett and killed him with its second mouth, which was the tongue, and carried him into air shafts of the spaceship named the Nostromo*
Mel: *places her bowl down and walked over to James and snuggled into his arms as she was scared, whispering* You I hate you for this, right?
James: *chuckles and whispers* I know. But I haven't seen this movie in a long time and everyone is having fun.
Mel: I better not get nightmares from this.
James: And you won't. I'm here and not on that ship.
Kai: Your motion tracker is telling you it's behind you! Get out of there! *hears a screech from the alien or Xenomorph as it was next to Dallas and took him away*
Mel: You sure? That thing took him away and no one saved him.
James: Only because he was the only one in the air shafts while they blocked the exits so it wouldn't escape so he could flush it out to the air lock. His loss.
*After the movie. Ripley was the only one to survive from the alien with the cat, Jones, and blasted it into space while escaping the escape pod and the movie ended*
James: So what did you think?
Cole: I thought it was scary and can't wait to see the second one.
Zane: I, for one, thought it was thrilling.
James: Trust me the second one will be scarier than the first. It's my favorite one.
Mel: I'm gonna head to bed because I want it to be morning and so I don't have nightmares from it.
Dawn: I'm gonna come up with you too.
Nya: Count me in.
Girls: *placed their dishes in the sink and all headed upstairs* Good night, boys.
Boys: Night girls.
James: *looks at the clock and noticed it was only eleven* Anybody want to play Halo before bed?
Boys: We're in. *and all began to play Halo 4*
*With the girls*
Mel: Well, we're all ready for bed, so now we can chat! *speaking* Hey girls, wanna continue that game of truth or dare? I didn't get to do any.
Dawn: I don't see why not...
Nya: I didn't get to either, so let's do it!
Mel: Okay, here's the rules; if you get a dare or truth you don't want to do, another one will be thought up and you MUST do that one.
Nya: Deal.
Dawn: Works for me.
Mel: Alright... Dawn, truth or dare?
Dawn: Hmm... Truth.
Mel: *smirks slightly* Do you have a crush on Lucas?
Nya: *gasps, and leans in closer*
Dawn: *blushes deeply, and mumbles* Yes...
Mel: What was that?
Dawn: *takes a deep breath and says louder* Yes.
Nya & Mel: *gasp*
Nya: Your turn, Dawn!
Dawn: Okay... Nya, truth or dare?
Nya: Let's go with Dare!
Dawn: *smiles* I dare you to sneak up to the edge of the observation room, and then when the boys are at a tense section of their game, jump down screaming 'Catch me, Jay!'.
Nya: *mouth drops open* Fine! I didn't think you were so EVIL, Dawn!
Dawn: *smiles mischievously* I try!
Mel: Let's go watch this...
*With the boys*
James: Jay, Cole, take out Zane and Kai's warthog (Humvee Jeep). I'll get Lucas.
Lucas: I don't think so. *takes the sniper rifle and zoomed in on James' spartan and fired* Headshot! Even in this game I still have precision aim with my accurate shots!
James: Just wait till I respawn and take you from behind!
Cole: Jay, hard left!
Jay: Got it! *hits the brakes on his controller and turns his warthog to the left*
Cole: *rotates the sentry gun mounted on the back and fired at Kai and Zane until their vehicle exploded and killed the two Spartans* Yes!
*With the girls*
Girls: *tip-toed to the observation room and peeked over the edge. Each giggled as the boys were focused on their game and didn't know the surprise Jay was about to get*
Dawn: Alright Nya, ready?
Nya: *sigh* Let's get this over with. *stands over the ledge and took a deep breath* Catch me, Jay! *and jumped off*
Jay: *looks up and screamed. He quickly drops his controller and ran to Nya and caught her. He felt his cheeks heat up as he saved her* Are-are you alright, Nya?
Mel: She did it! *gives off a laugh to Nya's dare*
James: *pauses the game* What was all that about, Mel?
Dawn: We made Nya do a dare and she did it.
Nya: Thanks for saving me. *pecks on his cheek and skipped back upstairs with the girls*
Jay: *lovestruck for a moment and snapped back to reality* Was I just used?
James: Don't let it get to you. My sister would do the same to me. Now let's play. *and resumed the game*
*Back with the girls*
Nya: Thanks a ton, now Jay thinks he got used!
Mel: He did! and it was worth it! *laughs uncontrollably*
Nya: Ya, well it's MY turn. *glares at them*
Dawn & Mel: *gulp slightly*
Nya: Let's see... Melody, truth or dare?
Mel: Truth?
Nya: Do you have a crush on my brother?
Mel: Wha? Umm... Think up another, I don't know how to respond to that...
Nya: Remember, you HAVE to do this one...
Mel: Yea yea, I know... just tell me already!
Nya: Fine. I dare you to short-sheet James' bed and fill his pillow with shaving cream so it keeps it's proper shape, but really isn't.
Mel: *eyes get huge* Ha! That's a dare? Sounds more like a funny prank! I'll do it!
Nya: *smiles evilly* But, if he asks, you have to admit you did it!
Mel: Eep! This is gonna end badly...
*With the guys*
Zane: It is apparent that the girls are continuing our previous game of truth or dare.
Kai: What was your hint? The fact that my sister willingly threw herself off the balcony, or Dawn saying it was a dare?
Cole: I thought Jay's reaction was pretty funny!
Jay: Hey, I was just saving my girlfriend!
James: If the four of you would have been paying attention, you would have seen that me and Lucas teamed up and killed you. *him and Lucas high-five*
Zane, Cole, Jay, and Kai: What! Aw Come on!
James: *pauses game* Actually I got an idea.
Cole: What is it?
James: Gather around.
Boys: *huddle around James*
James: Have you guys noticed how scared our sisters were when we watched Alien?
Kai and Cole: *nodded*
James: *wicked smirk* Good. We're going to scare bejeebers out of them. Lucas, can you surround us in your mist and make us as the Xenomorph?
Lucas: I see where you're going with this. Stand over there.
Boys beside Lucas: *stand on the other side of the room*
Lucas: *held out his hand and blew across it to have beads of water come out and surround them in mist to create the alien from the movie*
James: Excellent. Let's go. Stick to the shadows and leave my sister to me.
Boys: *nodded and turned off the lights and headed upstairs*
*with the girls*
Mel: *walks into James' room with a couple of cans of shaving cream, whispering* Do I really have to do this guys?
Nya: Unless you'd rather answer the question...
Mel: Fine, but you'll pay for this! *pulls off the bed covers and remakes it while short sheeting it*
Dawn: Might I ask, where did you learn to short sheet?!
Mel: Eh, when you come from a family when you're the only girl cousin on one side, you pick up a prank or two.
Nya: Makes sense, I learned how to pull a few pranks from my time with the guys...
Mel: *finishes bed, leaving exactly the same except for the short-sheet. Takes pillow out if case and begins refilling it with shaving cream* I honestly have no clue how James will react to this one.
Dawn: I, for one, can't wait to see it.
Mel: *squirts the last of the last can out, then shapes the 'pillow' and puts it back* There. Now let's get back to the room so no one gets suspicious.
Girls: *leave and sneak back to Melody's room*
*with the boys*
Boys: *quietly creep in the hallway and hid as the girls were going out of James' room*
James: Something isn't right here. *walks over to his room and opened to see nothing was wrong* False alarm.
Cole: So how are we going to lure the girls out while we're disguised like this?
James: *hums in thought. Hears silent snores and looked at the door that lead to the ninja's room and saw Lloyd asleep* Simple. We take Lloyd. Lucas, you take Lloyd to the laundry room and create the hive for the aliens.
Lucas: Exactly what does the hive look like?
James: It's like this. *pulls out his computer and typed in the hive of the Xenomorph. Sees the walls all looked like a bee hive except for the hexagons and wasn't yellow, but black*
Lucas: Okay. But what about my cousin?
James: Just have him on the floor and make it like he's the next prey by having that gunk or cocoon stuff on him to hold him in place so those facecrawlers can attach to his face.
Lucas: Alright. But I better not see him waking up and having nightmares about it. *picks up Lloyd and heads towards the laundry room*
James: While they're away, let's lure the girls.
*with the girls*
Mel: *uncontrollable laughter* I can't wait for him to lay down and get a surprise about his bed.
Dawn: I know right. This is going to be...*hears a hiss* What the?
Girls: *suddenly the lights black out and lightning lightened the room with thunder behind it*
Nya: Must be a blackout. I'll get Jay to see if he can repair the breaker box.
Mel: Here that this. *hands her a flashlight*
Nya: Thanks. *turns it on and headed outside* I'll be back for more fun. *heads downstairs and noticed the guys weren't in the living room* Guys, where are you? *hears a hiss and quickly turned around to see nothing behind her. Heard something behind her and quickly flashed the light as something slender moved on the floor and quickly ran back to Melody's room and was panting*
Dawn: What's wrong? Looks like you seen something.
Nya: I did! The guys are missing and I saw something move on the floor!
Mel: Nya, they're aren't any ghost here. You're only seeing things.
Nya: No! I saw something move and I think it took the guys!
Mel: *saw the fear on her face and gasped* Lloyd! *ran out of her room and headed to Lloyd as gasped as he was gone*
Dawn: Whatever it was took them and Lloyd.
Nya: What are we going to do?
Mel: We'll search for them. I can't stand the loss of James.
Dawn: Alright, let's go. *and left the room with the others behind her and to the living room* Alright the best plan is to stick together and never lose sight of each other.
Mel: I hope you're right. *grabs her flashlight and took the lead while the girls walked backwards to make sure nothing came up behind them. Walks down the hallway and walked into a room and as the girls still walked backwards and didn't realize Mel took a different path*
Dawn and Nya: *slowly walked down the hall and heard more hisses and saw something*
Nya: Did you see that!?
Dawn: Mel, point your light over there. Mel?
Dawn and Nya: *turned around to see she was gone and screamed at the sight of an alien, which was Cole, and ran down the hall and went into the laundry room and slammed the down behind them. Both were panting and felt their hearts beat against their chests and slowly looked up and couldn't find their voices and as the sight in front of them was freighting to them.*
Nya: Dawn, look. *pointing at a sleepy child on the floor and was covered in goo (which was towels wrapped around him) and with an egg beside him*
Dawn: It's Lloyd! Let's get him out of here!
Dawn and Nya: *slowly walk to Lloyd and froze as the egg was hatching and the crawler was slowly climbing out and heading towards Lloyd's face*
Dawn: We can't let that happen. *and ran to Lloyd and swiped the crawler away, but her hand went through the alien* What the? *saw the walls beginning to materialized and revealed the laundry room with Lucas laughing his head off*
Dawn and Nya: Lucas! You're so dead!
Lucas: Shh! You'll wake him up!
Nya: Why are you doing this? I could've had a heart attack.
Lucas: I'm sorry, but we wanted to have fun. Want to join in?
Dawn: No thank you. We're going to tell Melody. *and headed towards the door*
Lucas: *ran to the door and locked it and blocked the door* I'm sorry, but I can't allow that.
James: Got to love suspense. I'm having fun right now. Since I remembered the last time I scared or interrupted Mel, I got in trouble with her so I'm gonna make a run for it. *and dashes away but to only feel a tug on his collar and brought back to his twin*
Mel: Don't worry James, you paid your dues for this one. (Stay tuned to find out what I mean) Only punishment will be making you read an account of what happened!
James: *gulp* Still don't like the sound of it.
