Mel: hello and welcome back! First off, I want to apologize to our readers for the last two weeks. Two weeks ago, I went to a youth rally and last weekend I was at a youth retreat. During the week, I'm in after school activities and am often busy. A warning to all readers that, even though we both try hard, we may not be able to get chapters out on time for a while, probably through Christmas. Thanks for understanding and I hope you enjoy the chapter! :)
James: Yea sorry about that. We've both have been very busy. But hey we're glad to be back posting chapters, but when something happens during out weekend, it'll be a little later. So yea thanks for understanding and enjoy the chapter.
Chapter 18: Pranking Gone Wrong
*With Melody*
Mel: Oh darn! I lost the others! Oh well, it'll give me a chance to find the guys... Wait the guys! *feels her face getting red* I swear when I get my hands on James! Wait- heh heh- I'll play along with your little game James, but I'll throw in my own little scare... *slowly walks down the hall to the observation room, hears a hiss*
James: *hiding in the shadows* This is gonna be good!
Mel: Let's the acting begin... *speaking* W-who's there?
James: *jumps out from the shadows, still disguised*
Mel: *screams and starts hyperventilating* N-no! *screams as she 'accidentally' falls off the ledge*
James: Melody! *disguise disappears and runs down the stairs to see Mel sprawled on the floor* Oh no!
Mel: *smirks on the inside because she landed fine and had sprawled herself out like this*
James: Oh No Oh No Oh No! Melody! Please be okay! *leans down to pick her up*
Mel: *hand darts up and quickly slaps him across the face* That's for attempting to scare me and the girls! Idiot! Where's Lloyd!?
James: *looks stunned* You're okay?
Mel: No duh smart one! Now, where. Is. Lloyd!?
James: Why would you do that!?
Mel: I don't like it when you try to scare me, and since I figured your stupid little trick out, I thought I'd pull a scare of my own. So, where's Lloyd?
James: *still flabbergasted* Um..oh! He's with Lucas in the laundry room, most likely still asleep.
Mel: Good. I'm gonna go put him back where he belongs, in bed. And you turn the power back on! *walks away to get Lloyd*
*With Lucas*
Dawn: Lucas, move it.
Lucas: I am not moving and letting you guys spoil the fun.
Nya: It's two against one. Do you think you could take both of us?
Lucas: I've beaten both of your brothers before many times. I'm sure I can handle a couple of girls.
Dawn: Alright, have it your way. *starts running towards Lucas and jumped*
Lucas: *blocked the kick and fought against her in close combat. He grabbed her leg and pulled it to knock her down, but Dawn instead performed the splits and swiped at his legs to knock him down and both quickly regained their footing and continue to fight without waking Lloyd*
Nya: *watched the two fight especially when one has a crush on the other. Spots a roll of duct tape in the supply closet and smirked and grabbed it. She watched at Lucas was busy with Dawn and got behind Lucas. She signal Dawn the plan and tackled Lucas to the floor*
Lucas: What the?
Nya: *brings his hands behind his with Dawn helping her and quickly tied them with the tape* Who can take you down? Ah we can.
Lucas: That's not fair. You weren't sparring with us.
Dawn: Oh shut up. Nya, hand me a strip will you.
Nya: *nodded and ripped off a piece and handed out to Dawn*
Lucas: Don't you dar-mmpph.
Dawn: What was that? I can't hear you. *giggles*
Lucas: *glares at the and began to struggle out*
Dawn: Oh don't feel to bad. That's what you get for scaring us. And I think we should do the same to our brothers. *and kissed his cheek*
Lucas: *stopped struggling and felt his cheeks warm and couldn't stop blushing*
Nya and Dawn: *giggle and helped him to his feet*
Dawn: I'll get Lloyd and you take him to the living room. *and picked up Lloyd while Nya dragged Lucas away*
*With James and Melody*
James: *in the basement with his sister and flipped the main breaker switch back on and the lights appeared* There happy?
Mel: Quite. Now I'm going to get Lloyd. *and both head upstairs. Sees the girls with Lloyd in Dawn's arms and Lucas tied up.* What's going here?
Dawn: Lucas' mist was the culprit to their joke and we did a little of revenge on him for scaring us. Cole, get down here!
Nya: You too, Kai!
Everyone: *the remaining four Xenomorphs climbed down the stairs and the disguise disappeared*
Dawn: *hands Lloyd to Melody and walked to her brother and slapped him across the face* I hate you for that!
Cole: Oh come on, you got to have some fun with the younger sibling.
Nya: *shoved Lucas to the floor and slapped Kai across the face* And you for some nerve to be scaring me in the middle of the night.
Kai: *rubbing his sore cheek* Okay first off, Ouch! And second, it was funny and it was James' plan. And third, why is Lucas tied up?
Nya: The same reason what we are going to do to you. *tackles her brother and quickly taped his hands behind his back and taped his mouth shut*
Dawn: You're next. *pinches his ear and brought him closer to Nya*
Nya: *being a quick girl, she took Cole's arms, before he could resist, and forced them behind his back and taped his arms together*
Cole: You don't have to do this.
Dawn: But it's our way of revenge. *taped his mouth shut*
Mel: *walks down the stairs after putting Lloyd back to bed and saw what was happening* What's going on here?
Dawn: Getting revenge on our brothers. Want to join in?
Mel: *looks at her brother with a wicked smile and saw her brother looking frightened* Sure.
James: *tries to run away, but was tackled by his sister* Please Mel, don't.
Mel: Your plan. You get the punishment. *and keeps his hands together behind his back and waited for Nya to tape them*
Nya: *walked over to the twins and helped Melody tied her brother down* I'll give you the honor to shut your brother up. *hands her a strip of tape and gazed at her marvelous work on the four boys*
James: Please Mel, I'm sorry.
Mel: I don't think you are. Inside your still laughing at your joke and had fun scaring me before I found out.
James: Okay yes. But...
Mel: Shut up, Jimmy. *and placed the gag over his lips* Hear that girls, silence. *looks at Jay and Zane* Get those two.
Jay: *surprised * Wait what!? I've never scared you. I just slicked through the shadows.
Mel: Yes. But both of you were part of Jimmy's plan and must suffer the punishment.
Zane and Jay: *looked at each other and ran away*
Dawn: Get them! *and all girls took pursuit on the guys*
*Five minutes later*
Dawn: Finally managed to take this blabbermouth down and he'll be joining you guys for the night. *and tossed Jay with the other guys*
Nya: This one wasn't much fun. He just surrendered himself because he thought it was pointless that we'll kept searching for him when he's the only one left. *and tossed Zane next to James*
Mel: Now that we got all of them, help me place them in the center. Back to back.
Girls: *nodded and brought all the captured boys to the center of the living room*
Nya: *takes the roll of tape and wraps it around them to make sure they wouldn't escape and tied their ankles*
Mel: Well we're almost done, now let's blindfold them.
Boys: *pleaded through their gags and shook their heads*
Dawn: I'm sorry, but I can't hear what you're saying. *takes two strips and placed one over her brother's eyes and over her crush's eyes*
Nya: I'm sorry Jay, but you joined in on the fun. *and placed over strip over his eyes and one over her brother's eyes*
Mel: And you Jimmy, you had to scare me and fought it was funny to take Lloyd make it like we were attacked by those aliens, but this is your punishment. *places a strip over his eyes and the other over Zane's eyes* Sleep tight, Jimmy. *kisses his cheek and all girls skipped upstairs and shut the lights off* We'll wake up for breakfast. *and all headed to Melody's room for the night*
*in James' thoughts*
James: Well this stinks. Can't move, can't talk, can't see... Was that prank really worth it?
*in Lucas' thoughts*
Lucas: I may have gotten beaten and tied up, but Dawn, she kissed me! I mean, sure it was on the cheek and it probably didn't mean anything... But- wow, Do I sound like Jay!
*with the girls*
Mel: Boy was that fun!
Dawn: I'll say, nothing like the chance to tie up your brother!
Nya: You did a little more than that in the laundry room! *elbows Dawn lightly*
Mel: What? Tell me!
Dawn: *blushes deeply* Um.. I.. Um..
Nya: She fought Lucas and once we duct taped him, she kissed his cheek!
Mel: *gasp* Aww! I missed it!
Dawn: *looks at her feet* It probably didn't mean anything to him...
Nya: Are you kidding girl? Did you see the way he blushed?!
Mel: Well I'm happy for you Dawn, but I'm gonna check on Lloyd. He wasn't feeling 100% when I put him to bed earlier... *walks out and down the hall to the guys' room walks over to hear Lloyd moan in his sleep, whispers* How ya doin', Pipsqueak? *places a hand on his forehead to find it burning*
Lloyd: *wakes up* Melody? W- why am I so cold? Why do you *cough* look so worried?
Mel: *smiles gently* Sorry Lloyd, I didn't mean to wake you. But since you are, I'm gonna take your temp, alright?
Lloyd: It's okay... *shivers* I'm cold...
Mel: *puts thermometer in his mouth* You are? You wait here while I go get some blankets from the hall.
Lloyd: *nods sleepily*
Mel: *walks into the hall, opens the closet, pulls out three warm quilts, and walks back in* I found a couple for ya, Squirt. Now, let me see that thermometer... *takes it out and sees it reading 104.5* This isn't good...
Lloyd: What's wrong?
Mel: Let's tuck you in first and then I'll tell you.
Lloyd: *lays back down as Melody tucks blankets around him* What's my temp?
Mel: 104.5, I'm gonna go get you some of that medicine we brought from the doctors, alright? *walks into bathroom then comes out holding a medicine cup* Drink this Lloyd, then go to sleep.
Lloyd: *drinks it then snuggles into the blankets* I'm so cold... Good night Mel.
Mel: I'll check on you later good night Lloyd. *walks out*
*With the guys*
Boys: *struggled against the tape and caused them pain to move*
Kai: Okay I blame Lucas and James for this. Mainly James. His plan, I was the pawn. I think he's behind me so I'll give him something in return. *uses his bounded hands and hit James'*
James: Ouch! Okay I think that was Kai and I can see why he's like that. I led them to this. I'm sure it was worth it. We managed to scare the girls for a while until Dawn and Nya discovered the 'hive' and captured Lucas and Mel found out. *sigh* It was worth it.
Lucas: Okay I must be acting like Jay. That was the first time a girl kissed my cheek. I'm sure it didn't mean anything. Unless...No it can't be. Dawn wouldn't have a crush on me. Would she? Then again it would explain that one time when I was taking care of Lloyd and she stuttered for a while when she was helping me and touched my hand when we both were reaching for the medicine. I'm probably over exaggerating about this. But still she kissed me and I couldn't help myself blush.
Cole: Wait till I get my hands on my sister. I'm going to show her whose tough around here. Just need to get out of this. *struggles more to escape*
Jay: Oh what's the point guys? They have us captured. We're tied up together, gagged, and can't see. Just give up. I'm just gonna go to sleep. *and closed his eyes and as it was pointless now*
Zane: *stopped struggling as it was no use and sighed* I thought the prank was fun until the girls found out and got us tied up. I know Lloyd is an early riser like me because he's little and is full of energy. Hopefully he wakes up before the girls and gets us out of here before they do something to us. *and closed his eyes as it was pointless to escape*
*some time later*
Boys: *all stopped struggling as it was useless and fell asleep*
*with Melody*
Mel: *walks back to the other girls* Well, Lloyd has a temp of 104, so I'm gonna have to check on him during the night.
Nya: That's fine, but I think we need to get to bed.
Dawn: *yawns* I'm for that one... *crawls into her bed*
Mel: I think I'm gonna sleep in the room with Lloyd just to be safe.
Nya: *crawls into bed* If you think that's best. Good night Melody.
Mel: *turns out light* See ya tomorrow ladies. *walks out and goes to Lloyd* I better have some water and a cool rag ready just in case... Man, he's NOT gonna feel good in the morning... Well, I better get a pillow and blanket on the floor next to him, incase he needs me. *whispering soothingly* I'll be laying right here if you need me Lloyd. *strokes his hair softly*
Lloyd: *moans softly in his sleep*
Mel: *lays down* I hope you're alright Lloyd...
*Later in the night*
Lloyd: *wakes up and shifts around* I'm so hot... Yet I'm freezing... I don't feel... *calls out weakly* Melody...
Mel: *sits up immediately* What's wrong Lloyd?
Lloyd: Feel... Think... Puke... Cold... Hot... Dizzy... Puke...
Mel: Oh dear... *picks him up and runs him into the bathroom*
Lloyd: *bends over and pukes into the toilet, takes a breath, pukes again, and again* Owie... *starts crying as he pukes again, pants and tremble, and pukes twice more*
Mel: Oh buddy... *rubs his back soothingly* That's right, get it all out...
Lloyd: *pukes once more and just stands there, trembling and exhausted*
Mel: Hey, it'll be alright... Rinse your mouth and then let's get you back to bed.
Lloyd: *rinses mouth, flushes toilet, and reaches for Melody weakly*
Mel: *picks him up, rubbing his back and sets him on the bathroom counter* now Lloyd, the doctor told me if you start puking out the medicine, I should give you a shot. *takes a needle from the pack in the drawer where she put it, sticks it into the medicine and draws out the proper amount* now this will only be a tiny prick and won't last long, okay?
Lloyd: *looks nervous, but nods, exhausted*
Mel: *holds it over the vain in his wrist.* three... Two... One. *gently slides the needle into his vain and injects the medicine* and done. See, that wasn't too bad was it?
Lloyd: *slowly shakes his head*
Mel: *places a band-aid over the shot mark and carefully picks him up again, continuing to rub his back* Come on pipsqueak, let's get you to bed...
Lloyd: *moans* No... H-hold me Mel...
Mel: Alright Lloyd, I'll hold you... Don't worry you'll be alright... Shh, Shh, try to fall asleep...
Lloyd: *buries himself deep into Mel's shoulder, still crying a little*
Mel: *strokes his hair, singing softly*
Hush don't cry, you'll be alright, snuggled safe and warm... *quietly hums the rest to Lloyd as he falls into an uneasy sleep*
*With the guys*
Lucas: *in his dream* I can see myself swimming in the ocean back at home. The Bounty was docked in the ocean and swam back to the deck and dried myself off. I looked around and saw no-one was around. "Hello, is anyone here? Dad? Lloyd?" But silence clung in the air.
Voice: Everyone is at Ninjago City, Lucas.
Lucas: *turned around and saw Dawn on the deck with him* Hey Dawn. What's up?
Dawn: I was about to go swimming with you, but looks like you're done.
Lucas: It's fine. I can go in for a little while longer.
Dawn: *smiles and removed her sundress to be in her swimsuit* See you around. *and dove in*
Lucas: *watches her dive into the water hasn't seen her emerged. Becoming worried, he dove in to save her. He couldn't see her in the water and swam back up to see he was somewhere else. The waterfall in the Misty Forest* What happened to the Bounty?
Dawn: I was wondering the same thing.
Lucas: *turns around and saw Dawn sitting on his meditation rock* You're safe, Dawn.
Dawn: *jumps in the water and swam over to him* Can I ask you something Lucas?
Lucas: *felt his cheeks blushing* Um, sure.
Dawn: Do you like me?
Lucas: *stutters to speak* Y-yes. As in friends?
Dawn: No. Do you like-like me? After I kissed your cheek.
Lucas: Uhh...*still stuttering like an idiot. Felt his lips being pressed against Dawn's and lost his train of thought*
Dawn: *let's go of his lips and swam back* Think about it. *and disappeared*
Lucas: *still lost his train of thought and saw darkness. Wakes up to see he saw darkness and couldn't move his hands. He just remembered that he was tied up for messing with the girls and shook his head that he had a weird dream. Or was it?*
James: Oh you got love suspense on that part, right? A crush or maybe something else. What do you think it could be? Melody?
Mel: who knows? Guess you'll have to stay in tune for the next chapter to see what happens!
