Toothless was banging on the ceiling to wake Hiccup up."Okay, okay, I'm coming."Hiccup said as he reached for his helmet."Oh good morning, Mr. Bossy!"he said while walking outside and looks up to see Toothless on the laughs at hiccup, Hiccup imitates Toothless' laugh."You always have to wake me up so early to go flying-"he says but gets interrupted when his metal foot slips on the ice, Toothless see this and jumps of the roof to catch him."Stupid leg. Oh, thanks buddy, I'm okay. Yeah, we can go flying now."Hiccup burps on Hiccup."Eww, eww, what, eww, argh Toothless."he says as he tries to wave the air away."Come on, lets see what you've got today."he says and climbs on Toothless and they set dive down a cliff face."Okay, you ready? Easy."Hiccup says as he unhook his leg and stands on Toothless, and jumps over a cliff while Toothless goes under,he lands on Toothless and hooks his leg back in."Yes, finally!"he says in a victorious tone.
Berk's plaza
"Here?"a viking on Gronkle asks while holding up a shield."Yes, yes, nooo, nooo, no, that one a wee bit higher!" Gobber instrucs him."Here?"the viking ask holding the shield on another spot."There! Ah, that's the spot!" Gobber says."Alright"the viking says.A costumed Viking child growls at Meatlug, Meatlug growls back blowing her away."Attaboy Meatlug." Fishlegs tells Meatlug."Are you ready, girl?" Astrid asks Stormfly and throws two shields in the air and Stormfly uses her tail spikes to nail them to the roof."By Odin's beard, Gobber. Vikings spending the winter holiday with Dragons. What would our fathers say?" Stoick say to Gobber."They'd think we'd lost our minds!"he anwser Stoick."Hahahahaha. Well done. Well done – all of you! I've never thought I'd live to see this day. Peace on the island of Berk. This will surely be the greatest holiday, we've ever seen!"Stoick tells everyone on the and Dragons cheer."What the…?!" Stoick says as Lots of Dragons are flying above Berk and resident Dragons all join them and leave Berk."What in Thor's name?" Gobber asks."Come back! What are you doing?"Snotlout says to Hookfang."Meatlug!" Fishlegs yells and runs after Meatlug."Where's Hiccup?" Astrid asks in hope to know what is going on.
"What do you say, bud? Wanna go again?"Hiccup asks and Hiccup swerve the Dragons masse."Whoa! Aaaaahhh! Oh no! My helmet! Aaaaaaaahhhhhh…"he yells as a dragon his helmet of his head knocks making Toothless dives for Hiccup's lost helmet."Toothless! No no no no! Whoa… Wait! Toothless! Stop! We'll get it later, bud. We need to get back and find out, what's going on."he says stopping Toothless just before the surface.
"What's the matter? Where are you going?"a viking asks as his dragon leaves leaving him hanging from the roof."Nonono! Don't leave, Stormfly, don't go! Please!" Astrid pleads to Stormfly.."Draco,you too"Stoick says as he change into his dragon form and joins the dragons."Astrid!" Hiccup yells as he dismounts Toothless."Hiccup! What's going on? Where are they going?" Astrid asks him as the whole village comes running towards Hiccup."Why did they leave?"a viking ask."What's happening?"another one asks."What if they never come back?"yet another ask."Stop! Please!"Hiccup ask as he tries to calm everyone down."Calm down! Give him the chance to speak! Hiccup, where are all our Dragons going?" Stoick ask as he and Gobber passes trough the masses."Dad… I don't know." Hiccup says a bit tries to encourage Toothless to join them, but Toothless can't.
Great hall
"Where'd they go, Snoggletog is ruined."a viking says"It's not ruined! We're Vikings! We've been perfectly happy celebrating without Dragons for generations! And there's no reason, we can't do it again! Now we don't know where they're gone off to. But we have to have faith, that they'll be back again soon. Am I right?" Stoick says as reaction."You're right, we are Vikings! We are tough" Gobber says when the sound of bells ring,he notices all the shiny bells and baubles attached to his arm and helmet"Most of the time…"he corrects himself."Let's sing some Snoggletog-songs!"he says
"That was depressing…"Ruffnut says as the walks trough the town."I know! I was looking forward to spending the holiday with Stormfly." Astrid says sad."What are you so happy about? Don't you miss Meatlug?" Tuffnut asks Fishlegs as he noticed him whisteling."Me? Oh! Yeah!"he says and after clearing his throat he continues"I miss him so much!Well, good night!""I've got an idea! Let's come up with a bunch of new holiday-traditions! You know? To bury the sadness!" Astrid says to cheer the gang , Tuffnut and Snotlout groan."Actually Astrid might be on to something" Hiccup says agreeing with her."Easy for you to say, Your Dragon can't go anywhere without you!" Tuffnut says and points to Toothless who looks sad over the ledge of a cliff."Must be nice." Ruffnut completes her brother.
"Yaknog! Get your Yaknog! Come on! Get a frothy delicious cup of cheer!" Astrid says the next day walking trough the plaza with a platteau with yaknog on."Hey, you guys! Try this tasty new beverage, I made for the holidays."she asks as she runs to Snotlout,Ruffnut and Tuffnut."Bah! What's that smell? Is that you?" Tuffnut says and shoves his sister away."It's Yaknog!" Astrid gags."Bah… If I drink that I'll yak nog all over the place!" Tuffnut says after smelling it."Maybe you'd rather taste a punch in the face?" Astrid says a bit angry."Astrid, It sounds delightful. I'd love a mug." Snotlout says trying to hit on swallows reluctantly."You could really taste the yak!"he says with a forced grin."Hmmm! Yum! What is that?" Fishlegs ask as he runs to them."Oh! You wanna try some? It's my new traditional drink." Astrid asks while pouring a cup for him."Oh… You know… Ehm… I have… suddenly unexplicity changed my mind."he says as he sees Snotlout shaking his head behind Astrid her back."Well… You don't know what you're missing! I bet Hiccup will love this."she says and leaves to find him. As Ruffnut notices Snotlout's discomfort she asks"Are you crying?"
"Hiccup?" Astrid asks as she nears the forge."Yeah, I'm over here, Astrid, coming!"he anwsers without looking away from his work."Here. Happy holidays – from me to you." Astrid says as she hands him a cup."Thank you milady!"he say."What are you up to?"she asks noticing the project he is working on.
"Okay – you gonna think, I'm crazy, but I just couldn't stop thinking about what Tuffnut said last night. Toothless can't come and go like the other Dragons. And that's just not fair. I was up all night and I think I found a way to fix that."he says as he shows how it drinks the Yaknog and keeps from swallowing."No way! You build him a new tail? So he's gonna be able to fly without you?"she say."Hmhm!"he mumbles."Wow – what a great gift!"she says with apriciation."Hmhm…"Hiccup mumbles still with the yaknog in his mouth."What if he never comes back?"she says with a bit of sadness."What am I saying? Of course he will!"she says to cheer him up."Well I'm going spread some more holiday cheer! You're amazing!"she says and leave the spits the Yaknog on the floor once she is out of sight."Baaaaahhhhh!"he says as he shakes his toungh.
The next morning is Toothless banging on the ceiling again."Toothless! Come on down, bud! I got something for ya!"he says as he go to him with the new tail.
Toothless sniffs the contraption."What do you think of that? Yeah!"he ask and Toothless turns away from Hiccup."Would you just settle down! Toothless! Come on, bud! Let me get that on you! Yeah! You are going to love this! Okay."he says and puts the tail on him."Nonono… To-Toothless! Stop! Please, please! Toothless, please!"he say as Toothless start thrashing about until it opens on its own"Ah… Here you go. See? Got it?"he says as Toothless opens the tail a few his eyes suddenly go in slit and he refuses to let Hiccup touch him, then turns and flies away."Toothless… Whoa."he says surprised.
Rhythmic banging on the ceiling."Toothless! I knew you'd come back… Urgh!"he says as he slips on the ice and landing hard on his he sees Stoic repairing the roof."Morning, son!" Stoick says."Oohhh… Hey… Dad…"Hiccup says as he comes back on his feet."Glad, you're up! I was looking for your helmet."Stoick says as he climbs down the ladder."My-My helmet?"Hiccup asks confused."Odin needs a place to put your goodies." Stoick says as he stand next to Hiccup."Yeah – right… I… I'll get on that… Great…" he says."Hold on! Hold on. Alright… Come on. What's in your mind? Out with it ."Stoick asks as he noticed Hiccup isn't very happy."Oh… It's been three days, dad. I – just thought Toothless would be back by now…"Hiccup says sad."I'm sure, he is with the other Dragons."Stoick says to cheer Hiccup up."Yeah? I wish I can be that sure."Hiccup says not as confident as his dad."Ah… Listen… I know what it's like to miss someone you love this time of year. But what do we do, when they can't be here for the holiday? We celebrate them! And I imagine, that is exactly what Toothless would want you to do. Right?"Stoick say."You're right."Hiccup said."Good! Then go get that helmet! We've had enough disappointment around here."Stoick says as he leaves to do his chiefing stuff.
"Oh, Fishlegs! You're hungry? There's enough fish there to feed a Dragon!"Hiccup says as he bumps in Fishlegs while on his way to the docks."Hahaha… Oh… A Dragon! That's…"Fishlegs reacts nervous.
Fishlegs runs away into a house carrying the fish barrel. Hiccup follows and looks inside when Fishlegs leaves. When he opens the door and see Meatlug he breaks his chain and carries Hiccup away."Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhh… Meatlug?!"he says confused."Hiccup? Where are you going?" Astrid yells as he almost hits her head."I have no ideaaaaa!"he yells back"Meatlug? What about presents? Eyyy…"Fishlegs asks."I can't believe him…"he says as the teens are in the house."YOU can't believe HIM? You kidnapped your Dragon!" Astrid says angry."Well… that makes it sound so mean…"he anwsers a bit shy."Hey guuuuys!"Tuffnut yells as he looks in a pile of hay."He flew away from the second he was unleashed!" Astrid says still arguing with Fishlegs."I'm seventy-two percent sure he wanted to stay."he says in his defence."GUYS!" Tuffnut yells getting thier attention."Wohohohooo… Meatlug barfed up a pile of rocks."Fishlegs says as the walk over to the hay."You're such an idiot! Those aren't rocks – Your Dragon laid eggs!" Ruffnut tells him."Hey wait! I bet that's why the Dragons left! To lay their eggs!" Astrid says as she figured out what happened."But – boy-Dragons don't lay eggs…"Fishlegs said."Yeah – your boy-Dragon is a girl-Dragon."Ruffnut says with a you-idiot tone."Okay – that actually explains a few things."he says."Hey! Everyone's missing their Dragons, right?" Astrid asks."Oh… here it comes…" Snotlout says annoyed."I've got an idea! It'll be another new Snoggletog-tradition! Oooohhhh… that's gonna be so good!" Astrid as she wraps a ribbon around a hide Dragon eggs inside helmets all around Berk.
"Whoa! Meatlug! Where are you taking me?" Hiccup asks as they fly trough the fog bank and almost hitting the remains of a ship. He arrives at an island with a large lake in the middle.
Hiccup sees all the Dragons and baby Dragons."You guys come here to have babies!"he says happy. A gronckle pushes a pair of eggs in a they hit the bottom the eggs explode as they hatch and Little baby Dragons crawl to their mother."Hey, look over here… Hey you missed one…"Hiccup says and walks to an egg lying at the side of the pond. The egg explode knocking Hiccup back"WHOA!"he yells."Man, It's a good thing those don't hatch on Berk!"he says as he is back on his feet.
"Wasn't this a great idea?" Astrid ask as the hid egg all around Berk."Aha… Everyone's gonna be so surprised!" Fishlegs say excited. One of the eggs explode."Surprise!" Snotlout says to Fishlegs as he get knocked down by the baby , Tuffnut and Snotlout coo at the baby Astrid says terrified"The eggs explode?!"another house explodes."THE EGGS EXPLODE!" Astrid now screams as a man runs screaming from his home."I'm sorry! Sorry."Astrid says to the continue to explode everywhere. The tree sets on fire."Awesome!" Ruffnut say seeing the destruction."Wow!"her brother add."This is your best idea yet." Snotlout say happy to Astrid."What in Thor's name is going on?" Stoick ask as everyone gather around them."The eggs explode…" astrid say as a final house over Astrid's shoulder explodes.
''Toothless! Toothless? Ah Toothless, where are you?"Hiccup yells as he walks around the sees his Dragon friends."Hookfang! Stormfly! Oh – You have no idea how happy I am to see you guys!"he says while stroking greets the baby Nadders."And you have… Babies? Oh look at you guys! All happy, together. Who knew you are leaving to celebrate your own sort of holiday."he say."Hiccup what are you doing here"someone asks and Hiccup turns lands with a few fish in his arms and gives them to Stormfly."I dn't quite know,Meatlug brought me here" Hiccup anwser."I should get back to my holiday. So what do you say there, Draco? Think, you'd give me a ride back home?" Hiccup asks him."yes"Draco say and changes climbs on his back and Draco set of."I'll see you all back on Berk when you're good and ready, okay gang?" Hiccup says to the dragons who set of too."Oh… Nono nonono… I think I just started the return migration."he say as the Baby Dragons are trying eager to follow there parents."Well if you insist!"he says. The Babies try to follow but don't have enough strength against the wind."Come on!" He says encouraging Babies who are in the air land back on the island."Ah.. boy this is never gonna work. Oh – hold on, I've got just the thing."he says as he tells Draco something.
"Ah… Gobber… this is a disaster…" stoick says as they walk trough the destroyed plaza."Ah… It's not so bad." Gobber says looking on the bright side."Oh not that bad? The village is destroyed. The dragons have gone and left us. Let's face it – this holiday is a complete - What are these people looking at?"he says pushing people out the see shimmering creatures high in the sky."What is that?" He ask as something flies trough the it gets closer they can make out a Dragon figurehead ship that is being carried by Dragons."It's Hiccup!" Stoick says happy."And our Dragons!" Astrid yells. As the Vikings cheer as the dragons led by Hiccup and Draco land the ship on Berk and baby Dragons spill out."Yeah! Wohooo!" Snotlout say running to Hookfang. Meatlug walks to her baby and regurgitates a couple of fish for them."Meatlug!" Fishlegs yells as he sees runs to her and tackles Meatlug."Stormfly! You're back! Oh! And there are babies!" Astrid says."Hahaha! Well done, son!" Stoick tells his son as he dismount from Draco his back who changed form."Thanks - dad!"Hiccup anwsers."Everyone! Grab your dragons to the great hall! We finally have something to celebrate!" Stoick yells to all the vikings.
"This is the best holiday ever! Uuuuhhhhh!"Fishlegs says as he makes baby noises at baby Dragons."Hiccup, I know this must be really hard for you seeing everyone with their Dragons, But you really did a wonderful thing! Thank you!" Astrid tells to Hiccup who is looking sad at everyone and then she kisses Hiccup and hugs him."Astrid – Where did Toothless go?" Hiccup asks sad."I don't know." Astrid says when she sees Toothless creeping into the great hall."Wow, Man, I don't wanna be you right now! I mean, you brought back everyone's dragon, except yours!"she says breaking from the hug."Yeah… You know – this is not – helping – at all."he says turns Hiccup around to see Toothless bounding excitedly at him."TOOTHLESS! Hey bud!"he yells happy and hugs Toothless."Stoic!" Gobber say as he taps his shoulder and gestures to Hiccup with a ringing bauble hand."Bad dragon! Very bad dragon! You scared me to death. Don't ever stay away that long again – and what is in your mouth?" Hiccup says to Toothless while moving his finger around with Toothless following it.
Toothless puts Hiccup's soggy helmet on his head making Snotlout, Astrid, Fishlegs, Tuffnut and Ruffnut exclaim in disgust."Yeah, you found my helmet. What-hey! You found my helmet! That's where you've been? Buddy – Thank you! You are amazing!"he says reliasing where Toothless had been and hugs Toothless again."Happy Snoggletog!" Astrid exclaims to all
The next morning is Toothless banging on the roof again."I'm coming Toothless! Alright bud, come on down. I was just-"Hiccup starts to say as he walks outside to see That Toothless has pulled out the old flight gear."Toothless, what you pull this there for? You don't need this anymore! Come on – let's get going."he says as he moves the old gear away with his moves away from Hiccup."Would you quit fooling around? You have your new tail now. Toothless?!"he ask in breaks off the new tail, and nudges the old gear with sympathy eyes."Toothless! Stop! What are you doing?"he ask
"Okay bud, you're ready?"he asks as they fly high in the unhooks his leg and somersaults over Toothless, free-falling together. Toothless taps Hiccup spinning him in the air.
"Turns out, that was the best Snoggletog ever. That year, I gave my best friend a pretty great gift."Hiccup says as they finish there hooks back onto Toothless and shakes the snow off the mountain."But he gave me a better one" he finish
A very merry christmas from me and a happy Snoggletog from Hiccup, Astrid, Draco and the rest of the gang. See you next year when I will continue the story.
