Chapter 45: Worry

Getting inside the castle was very easy because Shaun was nowhere to be seen. His partner, Jacob, was right there, but he wasn't (which, all things considered, was a little odd). However, I shrugged it off and just headed inside anyway in order to meet with the princess. When I finally stood before her, she started by asking me where the other two Links were. I still don't even know why, but at that point, I decided to act like a stereotypical non-magic magician and pull the vanish cape away in a very flashy manner. Once I explained what the vanish cape was, she giggled, and I knew that I wasn't the only one who was smiling because of it.

Afterward, I proceeded to tell Princess Zelda what had happened with the gerudo, the temple, Molgera, and everything in between. After listening, she told us that we needed to take a break before moving on. Thus, we ended up in a little argument that ended with us agreeing that we three Links would take the rest of that day off, then head out in the morning for slave Link's dimension. There was a bit of a silence after that before the princess finally asked

"So, how much help were the masks to you?" At this, we were all a little bit surprised. We didn't even use the masks because the transformation was painful and we were pretty scared of them. I was about to lie and say that they were very useful, but I then remembered that the princess could always see through my lies, so I decided against it. In hearing the truth, she said

"Oh well, they might still be useful yet; keep them with you. Now, all that you need to do when you leave tomorrow is get to slave Link's dimension and that dimension's Zelda will pick you up… no, history won't repeat itself, so you guys can relax." We all breathed a sigh of relief. We already knew that it wouldn't happen again, but just hearing it come out of her mouth made all three of us so much more secure. So, after our goodbyes, we went back to my home and relaxed.

Slave Link had never been one for relaxing, though, so it only made sense that when he tried, he ended up thinking about unpleasant things. Yet, every so often, I noticed that he did crack a smile. Obviously, he had made just enough good memories to be able to help him when he returned home, even with both future Link and me there too because I knew that he worried about the two of us more than he did about himself.

Finally, we were off to cross dimensions. Over the two weeks of travel, future Link had remarked at spring coming. Indeed, it may have been coming a little early, but it was still steadily on its way. We could only hope that the same held true when we crossed. However, when we got to the room that we were usually able to cross over from, we saw someone standing there in the center.

They were in knight's clothing, so I knew that if they were to turn to face us, then I would likely recognize them. However, I had to ask them why they were there. After I did, they turned around and revealed that they were Shaun! Yet, just as quickly as the realization of this fact hit, he disappeared. Seriously, he just popped right out of existence!

There was a slight pause before future Link burst out laughing. Upon calming down a little bit, he recalled how 'Ethan' (whoever that was) had done the exact same thing. At this point, both slave Link and I remembered it having happened. Obviously, someone… or something was trying to mess with us! Either way, we managed to shrug it off before moving on to the dimension that all three of us were deathly afraid of: slave Link's dimension…

Okay, IS something really trying to mess with them? Or is there some other reason for this happening? I'd love to hear your guesses in the form of a review, so yeah. Go ahead an review. Oh, and before I forget, I should ask that if you haven't voted in the poll that's on my channel yet, then may you please? There's no real rush, though, because I'm going to close it after the whole thing is done, and that's still a few months away. ^_^' Thanks! ;)
