Chapter 50: Wake Up
Sunlight filtered onto my eyelids, but I didn't want to wake up; my bed was just too warm for me to want to move. However, countless times of waking up to alarm clocks made me at least open my eyes to take a look around. I knew that I was in Zelda's mansion in slave Link's dimension, but I hadn't expected to be the first one of us to wake up. To be honest, I had thought that knight Link would be the first one of us to wake up because he had always been the first one before this. Not bothering to check the time, I rolled over and went back to sleep… or at least I tried before
"WAKE UP!" A voice burst through as the door slammed violently open and surprised me so much that I ended up falling out of my bed and onto the floor face first! I looked up to see slave Link standing like he had a pole stuck up his butt with his arms to his sides and knight Link standing the same way, but with a salute instead. None of us knew what was going on, but we all reacted the way that our previous lives dictated that we had to react. Blinking away some of the sleep, I didn't even bother to get up as I looked around to see who had shouted us awake.
"Pfffft… ha, ha, ha! Well, I certainly didn't expect you to react like that! Either way, it's already half past noon, so I figured that you really needed to get up." Came the unmistakable voice of Zelda before she walked out of the room and closed the door behind her. All three of us stood in shock for a while before the other two looked at each other and then me. Noticing that I was on the floor, they both began to laugh while helping me up.
Once I got up, Zelda's words finally clicked in my mind, so I grabbed my still sand filled clothes (seriously, it was getting annoying) and urged the others to do the same so that we could go about the day. Meanwhile, slave Link asked why Zelda, herself, had come to wake us up when she had said that she was working on our items. Knight Link quickly answered that she was obviously taking a break, so I didn't bother to say anything. Instead, I decided to check around for our other items. Zelda had only taken the hookshot, the bow, and the bombs, so we still had our (master) swords, shields, masks, the beetle and the vanish cape.
When we were all finally ready, we set off to where slave Link lead us: the room that Zelda had set aside just for us to spar. When we got there, though, our fans decided that they had nothing better to do than watch us. Sure, it was stressful, but I honestly kind of liked it because they ended up being so quiet that we almost forgot that they were there. In fact, knight Link might've completely forgotten because, eventually, he suggested that we try sparring with the masks…
