Chapter 59: Unconscious

As soon as slave Link hit the wall, with a very loud thunk mind you, I knew that he would be down for a while. So, I turned on dark Link with a snarl because of how angry I was at him. All that he did was chuckle once again before he began to move slowly, trying to get us to move in a circle, like what fighting animals might do. However, I saw right through him. He was trying to get us to give him an opening to finish off slave Link.

Therefore, I didn't move. Knight Link looked at me confused, so I motioned towards the unconscious slave Link. He stole a quick glance, and then he showed me that he understood by giving me a very small nod. Both of us stood perfectly still, protecting slave Link from dark Link.

Upon seeing that we knew what he was up to, dark Link actually began to growl at us before he ran at knight Link and began to parry impossibly fast. I rushed over to help knight Link, but by the time that I made it over there, dark Link already had him pinned to the ground. He then left his sword sticking out of the ground, holding a part of knight Link's tunic down. As knight Link struggled with the sword, dark Link turned his attention onto me.

I held up my shield, but he saw this, so he dramatically slid around, pulled another sword out of nowhere, and vertically slashed at my back. I could feel the blood trickling down the area that he had nicked, so I turned around to face him, and I backpedaled away. Once again, he seemed to dash straight towards slave Link, so I made sure to intercept him and hold my sword out so that he just might clothesline himself on the sharp end. Unfortunately, he pulled an epic limbo maneuver and attempted another slash at my back, horizontally this time.

Thankfully, I was able to duck down and kick my foot out in order to trip him. He fell, but as he did so, he shifted his hand on his sword and brought it down in an attempt to gut me. However, knight Link came out of nowhere and grabbed him before he made it all of the way down! This allowed me to get back up before it happened and hit him in the gut with the hilt of my sword. I only hit him with the hilt because slashing at him with the blade of it would have put me at a very awkward angle.

Dark Link jumped away from us and stood still, seeming to catch his breath. Although, I could tell that he was actually planning some sort of a way to get to slave Link. Without warning, he dashed over to his discarded sword that was laying on the ground, ditching the shield that he had, and grabbed it, taking a perfect stance. It was at this point that knight Link ran over to slave Link and pulled the vanish cape over the both of them, leaving it to almost seem like dark Link and I were alone together.

I then caught a glimpse of what looked like a glimmer of frustration in dark Link's blood red eyes as he lost sight of his target. I wanted to smirk at the fact that we three Links had gained the upper hand, but I dared not lest I were to provoke dark Link even further. He then turned on me and slowly began to advance, trying to scare me! It didn't work, seeing as I had witnessed slave Link appear next to the wall that was behind dark Link, meaning that knight Link was creeping his way forward for an attack.

I did my best to not show that I had seen this, so I began to purposely look scared just so that I could keep dark Link's attention. This seemed to work, considering that he continued to advance on me. Suddenly, hit entire body became encased in pure ice and knight Link appeared in order to attack. However, I had a better idea: I would use my hammer to smash dark Link to pieces!

Unfortunately, my hammer only made a few small cracks in the ice that allowed dark Link to break out of it and spin around to hit me! He managed to nick me once again, this time on my left arm; my sword arm. Then, during the time that I was stunned by that, he realized that knight Link was charging at him, and he jumped in order to deliver a mighty kick to his head. This made knight Link suffer an insane amount of knockback, which left me open wide for dark Link to kill me right then and there!

However, in the last second, I witnessed a hook latch itself onto dark Link's tunic and pull him towards its source! When I looked, I saw that slave Link had finally awakened and had used his hookshot to save me! Yet, I knew that as soon as dark Link got his bearings again, there would be little to no hope for slave Link, so I rushed forth as quickly as I possibly could. As it turned out, so did knight Link. Therefore, just as dark Link was about to bring his sword down, I slipped right in between him and slave Link with my shield out in order to block.

Meanwhile, knight Link proceeded to stab dark Link straight through the stomach! Yet, for some reason, all that dark Link did in response was twist around, pulling knight Link's sword out of his hand. Dark Link then jumped back a few feet and sheathed one of his swords in order to pull knight Link's Master Sword out of himself. However, as soon as his hand touched its hilt, he got what looked like an electrical shock! I took this as an opportunity to get in some cheap damage by throwing a bomb and making it detonate just as the shock stopped!

The force of the explosion managed to knock dark Link down in such an angle, that the Master Sword slipped right out of his body. It was at this point that slave Link started using the wall in order to help himself to get back up. I also took notice that dark Link backed up until he was pressed against the wall, looking straight at the master sword that had impaled him, with utter fear in his eyes. Yet, at the same time, something seemed to cross his mind, and he began to mumble to himself, sounding very menacing while doing so.

All that I could do was guess that he was saying something about the Master Sword, itself. I then decided to try to distract him in order to let knight Link get his sword back. So, I rushed past the sword, with knight Link in tow, towards dark Link! The weird thing was that, as soon as I got there, dark Link showed no sign of being impaled. Sure, he showed the pain of the electrical shock that he got from touching the master sword, but he also acted like the impalement didn't even happen!

In my wonderment, he managed to catch and flip me down onto the ground. He then tried to bring his remaining sword down and onto me, but stopped in the middle of his action in order to counter knight Link! I pulled myself to my feet and began to wonder where slave Link had gone to. As it turned out, he hadn't moved from his spot, seeing as he was still somewhat unstable. I winked towards him in order to tell him that it was okay if he needed to catch his breath. I had no way of knowing whether he got the message or not, but I simply had to have faith that he did.

It was then that I saw knight Link jump back, apparently because he figured that he would be pinned, or something like that, if he were to stay fighting dark Link one on one for much longer. Therefore, I took over and began to attempt a pummel. Unfortunately, dark Link turned the tables in order to make it so that he was the one who was pummeling me. Knowing that I was in for it, I copied knight Link by backing off as well. It was just in time, too, seeing as a flash of light raced by me at a blinding speed! It was a light arrow, fired straight from knight Link's bow! Upon impact, dark Link screamed and all three of us suddenly knew what his weakness was.
