Chapter 66: What was Said?

Chasing after Shaun proved to be harder than I had anticipated. Having gone up against him in training, I was fairly sure that I was aware of things like how fast he could run and how long he could continue running. It was because of this that I knew that whatever it was that was possessing him (most likely dark Link, himself), it was giving him more power. It was difficult enough to keep up with him, but I soon got the inkling that he was also just messing with me.

The way that he led me around the shrine of the gods was just plain frustrating. Eventually, though, he actually ran outside (with me following closely behind him)! However, as soon as he got outside, he turned around the entryway. I then made it outside and turned the same way that he had, but I couldn't find him. It seemed like he had just plain disappeared!

Obviously, his possessor had used some sort of teleportation magic on him. I ended up yelling in frustration, but then just taking a seat outside of the shrine of the gods and collecting my thoughts as I calmed down. My mind quickly went to whatever dark Link could have said to slave Link. I stayed thinking about that for a while, and I came to the conclusion that dark Link must've said something about him being incapable.

It would explain why slave Link had seemed so depressed. However, I couldn't be sure because I had seen slave Link bounce back from a horrible insult before! Either dark Link said it in a REALLY despicable way, or he had said something else. No matter what, though, it was obvious that it was dark Link's fault!

Having come to that conclusion, I stood up and began my trek back to Hyrule Castle Town.

I know that these chapters are kinda short, but oh well. We're getting close to the end of Spirits of the Past, though, so please review and I'll see you all next week! :D
