Hold your horses, people. This may be the last three chapters of Spirits of the Past, but I call Sewing Time a trilogy for a reason! However, I'll talk more about that at the end of these three. Frankly, though, I can't say much else, because I know that you're all itching to see how I finish this off. So, I'll just respond to the guest reviews and then you can all read away! ;D First, to The Drone: MRI's take a couple of weeks for the info to get back, so I won't know anything for a while yet. However, thank-you for the kind wishes! :) Also, I'm glad that you like the idea of them getting the skyward strike. XD After all, if Fi is in there, then it would only make sense, right? Finally, I presume that you've beaten ALttP by now? No worries if you haven't, but if you did, then... well... did you find the vanish cape? It's necessary in order to get another item that can be found on Death Mountain. This other item (a blue cane) is SUPER helpful in the fight against Blind the Thief in the thieves town dungeon of that game. Just thought I'd let you know. ;)

Now, to Z: Not so mysterious now? Well anyway, I kind of had Fi as a listed character of this fic for a few months there, so I believe you when you say that you knew it ahead of time. ;)

Now, let's get on with what you're really here for! I really and truly hope that you enjoy the final three chapters of Sewing Time: Spirits of the Past!

Chapter 70: Skyward Strike

Zelda made the other hylains give the two of us some privacy in order to talk about what she and the others had discussed.

"Okay, all three of you described that this girl reminded you guys of the Master Sword, right?" I nodded.

"Well, future Link was actually able to identify her voice. It was Fi." I stared, shocked. I thought about it for a little while, and I remembered the voice. Yes, they were exactly the same!

"She mentioned that her 'essence can be found in her vessel'. The only question is… what's her vessel? The only clue that we might have is something that she looks like: the Master Sword, probably. After all, those white balls of light that you told us about had to have been something magical, right?" I tuned to look at the sword that was (at that point, always) strapped to my back, wondering if the thing was actually Fi.

"Now, I'm pretty sure that this 'skyward strike' thing will make much more sense once we actually pull it off. However, she said that we had to point her vessel towards her origin." I began to think about what Fi's origin might be. Of course, the name of the move indicated the sky, but I had to know for sure. I voiced this to Zelda, and she claimed that I was right.

Afterward, she led me to the sparring room and told me to try it out. So, I pulled the Master Sword from its sheath and pointed it towards the sky. I began to wonder if I had to be outside just before I felt something! It honestly felt like the purest of lights were just above me, coming closer. I was awestruck, wondering if I was supposed to strike yet. However, I began to hear what could only be described as the sound of a shimmer.

The sound was becoming louder and the feeling was becoming stronger, which began to frighten me slightly. Yet, something in me just made me feel like it was ok. I could only let it get closer, until it suddenly stopped. The feeling almost reached the hand that was holding the sword up to the sky and the sound stopped with a loud 'shing'!

I finally looked up to see the blade shining with one of the brightest lights that I had ever seen! I looked to Zelda, who began to look at it with wonder. It was then that I looked around for the closest training dummy in order to test it out. Upon finding one, I struck at it, slicing it clean in half (the other links probably could have sliced through two of them at once, I figured). Yet, the most remarkable thing was the shining beam that shot out from the Master Sword!

The energy from the skyward strike spiraled out into a spinning disc shape. Upon hitting all of the other training items behind the initial dummy, it sliced each one apart with absolutely no resistance whatsoever. I began to wonder if it would slice the wall that was on the other side of the room. Sure enough, though, as soon as it hit the wall, the energy spiral broke and it dissolved into nothing! I stared at where the energy hit for about five minutes before Zelda walked up to me and looked me in the eye.

She didn't have a chance to say anything before the Master Sword's hilt began to glow. With my hand on it, I wanted desperately to let go because I didn't know what this meant! However, I simply couldn't do it. My hand wouldn't respond. Soon enough, the glow became so bright, that I squeezed my eyes shut before it died down and I found myself standing in another black abyss of nothingness…
